Let's Be One With Nature!

The Nature Club was something that always made Kim feel at ease. He loved Herbology, it was his favorite class and the dark haired teen tended to spend a lot of time inside Greenhouse One. But although being alone with the plants and nature was relaxing and breathtaking for him, sometimes Kim wanted to share this love with others. So he'd taken over the defunct Nature Club that had been started by a former member of Hogwarts. One who was no longer with them at the moment. But Kim couldn't bare to let the club wither and die because it had to do with nature! He needed to revive it somehow. So he'd come up with a way to revamp and activate the club again for this year.
After having worked out all the kinks, Kim came up with a brand new idea for the club. One that incorporated some of the best things about the old one but also added new ideas too. Bailey remained by his side, his dependable co-leader and although all the former members of the club had left it there were some additions. A few of them. Three second years. Kim hoped they would share a love for nature together in this club and sent them all an owl letting them know they would be meeting up at the Great Lake on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024. Kim came early as usual, needing to set up a few things before the members got there. He arrived at the meeting spot, a large space.
One that was surrounded by trees and foliage which made it quite beautiful. The Lake could be seen in the distance, sparkling from the sunlight that shone down upon its waters. Kim let his enchanted backpack fall onto the ground and reached into his pocket to take out a miniature picnic bench the size of his hand. He set it down on top of his pack and Kibō emerged from the top of the pack and slithered over to Kim's leg where he hissed affectionately at him, rubbing his head against his leg. Now, all they had to do was wait for the members to show up at the location and they could get started with what Kim had planned for them all today. Hopefully, they would enjoy themselves.

Elvenia stood in front of her mirror, her heart racing with excitement as she hastily brushed her hair. Today was her first Nature Club meeting, and she had been thinking about it all week. Nature, plants, fresh air! she thought, a smile spreading across her face. She hurriedly put on her shoes, double checking her appearance one last time. She didn’t want to be late, what if they started without her?
As she grabbed her wand and her journal-just in case, Elvenia imagined what they might do at the meeting. Will we be planting magical herbs? Or maybe learning about rare plants? The thought of spending time outdoors, surrounded by greenery made her grin with excitement. She imagined how calming it would feel by the lake, with the sunlight sparkling on the water and a gentle breeze rustling the leaves. Gotta go now.
Without wasting another moment, Elvenia dashed out of her dormitory, nearly bumping into a couple of her housemates in the common room. "Sorry!" she called out breathlessly as she sped down the stairs and out of the castle.
The walk to the meeting spot was a bit...well a lot intimidating, it was indeed her first meeting and didn't know how to approach everyone. Her mind raced with thoughts of what awaited her. She reached the large open space near the Great Lake, her breath catching as she saw the sunlight glinting off the water’s surface. The trees and greenery surrounding the area made it feel like a serene sanctuary.
As she approached, she noticed Kim setting up and a green snake beside him. No one else was there yet, just the two of them. She felt a mixture of relief and nervousness as she stepped forward.
"Umm, hello!" Elvenia said, her voice steady despite her excitement. "I'm Elvenia Moonshadow...am I the first one to be here?" She glanced around, as she saw no one except her and Kim, of course.323 words

She gave Nibs a last small hug and put him in his basket with some sweets. I’ll be back later, you can get some sleep in the meantime. She made her way to the meeting place, waving at some friends as she passed them.
Being the start of October, it started to get chilly outside. She was glad she picked up her scarf leaving her dormitory, as she shivered a bit when leaving the castle. But still, it was nice to be outside. The skies were clear and there was no rain, something to be glad about. As she approached the meeting place, she saw two people already at the scene. She walked up to them slowly, trying to think of what to say. As she saw the snake, she hesitated for a second. She wasn’t too afraid of animals, but a strange snake made her hesitant for a while. With her eyes still fixated on the snake, she joined the others. Hi, I’m Ruby. What a great night to be out, I hope we are going to have a great time. She smiled at them, not wanting to insult them by not looking at them.

Nature was something bailey also had loved being in. Ever since she had been a small child, nature had brought her peace and comfort. Her mum used to joke that bailey must be part wood nymph, for bailey would spend hours upon hours in the outside, and the nature seemed to keep an eye on her, never letting her get hurt.
Bailey had been to a few club meetings in the past few days, but this one she had been looking forwards to. Pulling on a comfy outfit - loose linin pants that were a light cream color, a cream and royal blue cardigan, and her trusty black boots, bailey decided to accessorize. Going back to her typical gold jewelry: gold necklaces, gold rings, her gold bracelet on her right wrist and her watch on the left, and her gold and pearl earrings.
glancing at the watch as she latched it on her wrist, she realized that she was running later than she had thought. Quickly sticking her wand in a pocket and grabbing the essentials - her bag with a notebook and pen as well as a book, a snack, and her water bottle inside - she heading downstairs swiftly.
Entering the outside, bailey paused to take in a deep breath before slipping on her sunglasses and heading down to the lakeside.
Kim and two of their three current club members were already down in the clearing, surrounded by foliage and trees, and bailey smiled upon the sight. She went over to kim and sat down next to him, slipping off her bag and saying to kim "sorry, got sidetracked reading my book.... did i miss much?"
Looking up at the two girls, bailey smiled brighter and said "hello! it's nice to meet you two! my name is Bailey Glade, I am a 5th year ravenclaw, and i am the VP of this club! and your names are-?"
