BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER
First year, eleven years
First year, eleven years
Bonnie was soooo annoyed. She had the impression that the teacher has been talking for a year, even though her watch was just saying the opposite. Apparently, she has been sat in the classroom for only ten minutes. How could it be possible ? The time was going so slowly. The red-haired girl was not sure she was gonna survivre during seven years. If she had known she was going to have history, even being a witch, she would have stayed with the muggles ! Well, after reflection, probably not. After all, Hogwarts was really more interesting. There was Defense against the Dark Arts, which really interested the young girl. She loved the subject.
A look around her showed to the girl that she wasn't the only one who wanted to fall asleep. In fact, a slytherin boy was sleeping a few meters behind her. She would probably have done the same, if she wasn't just in front of the teacher. God, why did she sit here ?
After a moment, the girl decided to turn to her neighbor. She didn't discuss with a lot of people since the beginning of the year, and really wanted to meet other students. She always has been really sociable, talking really wasn't the problem. She just hadn't find the perfect match for now, but she was sure it was going to happen. She couldn't possibly not find someone in the school who would follow her in her adventures. There were so many people ! She just had to look a little bit more.
- My god, this is never going to end, she murmured with a knowing glance at the girl sitting next to her.
She adressed a large smile to the girl, who was in the same house as her if she remembered correctly. Maybe they could become friends ! The brown-haired girl seemed pretty nice, even if she was one of the only person in the class who didn't look like they were bored to death. Yeah, this girl was definitely going to be her friend.
@Hazel Crawford, don't hesitate if there is something you want me to change

Hazel tapped her quill against the ink bottle that she had just opened ten minutes ago. It brought her unending satisfaction to see the smooth lines of her writing against the parchment, her need for perfection momentarily fading away as she admired her work. She had been in the class for ten minutes so far but it felt like 2. This was a class she had been eager to attend, despite it not being as action-packed as some of her others.
The professor was discussing The Gargoyle Strike, something she had been taught already by her tutors back home, but she listened anyways. She might have forgotten something, after all. Her focus was interrupted, however, by the girl sitting next to her, "My god, this is never going to end."
A large smile beamed back at her when she looked over at the red head. Hazel searched the recesses of her mind, wondering where she had seen her before. From what she could remember, she was in the same house, but nothing else.
She was caught in an extremely awkward place. Her academics and her social life. Yikes. She could feel her face twitch slightly, as she tried to smile. She looked intimidating, she knew it and she couldn't even help it. "It's been ten minutes, it'll be over if you just pay attention."
What was that? Why did she say that? Her social events back home and talking in class were entirely different things, she was a steel trap in class. She looked at the girl for a couple more seconds, before swiftly turning back to her parchment, face heating and mouth pursed. It was embarrassment, but knowing how this interaction was going, it would be interpreted as annoyance.
Ink and ambition

Bonnie was thinking, her head on the palm of her head. If all the class was going to be like that, no doubt that she will end up sleeping. Just like the guy behing. Maybe she'll switch places for the next hour, even if the chances that the boy accepts were really little. God, this year of history of magic was going to be a veritable nightmare. Not sure she will survive it.
After having talked to the girl next to her, Bonnie was really hopeful. If the two first year became friends, the time would past definitely faster. They could gossip, play games, tell secrets to each other... The young witch was already dreaming of an intersting class, filled with laughs and joy. Badly for her, the answer of the brown girl crushed her dream. Cold. Arrogant. Maybe even a little mean. Immediatly, the young girl frowned and a wince came on her face. Why did she have to sit next to a mean girl ? It was decided: next time, she'll switch with the guy behind.
- No need to be disagreeable, she declared. And in case you didn't notice, I am paying attention. Actually, I couldn't pay more attention.
Bonnie was disappointed. What was she going to do, now that she couldn't chat with her neightbor ? She missed her childhood, when she went to school with muggles. They didn't care about school and were always up for doing something else than studying. God, life was better when she just laughed and talked during hours. The English could talk during days and days, without even thinkink about stopping. But at Hogwarts, who would listen to her ?
