“How about our dear host? Truth or dare, Mags?” Carson asked, a bright smile on his face. Maggie grinned back at him and stood, “Someone’s ambitious, huh?”. A moment of silence followed as they awaited which she was going to choose, “well, I chose dare, obviously,” Maggie said, forgetting that she had to choose. Maggie Parker has never backed down from a dare, and she was planning on keeping it that way. Nevertheless, she said, “And, although I trust your creativity Carson, how about this one is a group effort: Carson’ll pick the best idea and I’ll do it.” The group of kids quickly lapsed into conversation, and Maggie took some time to greet some of the newcomers. Amaya has brought an amazing drawing, one of her, Maggie, and Tatiana sitting in the Library when they first met. It was amazing, and beautifully drawn. She quickly hugged the girl and thanked her, moving towards some of the other newcomers: Min-seo, Ziba, Charlotte, and Dennis, and many more. Maggie was more than pleased with the turnout, and she was glad that everyone was able to meet each other. “Hey Tatiana, have you met Charlotte Cadunt?” Maggie asked as she walked up to the Ravenclaw girl, “I feel like you two would get along really well, you’d be amazing friends.”. Maggie grinned at Tatiana and walked over to some of the quieter students, “Hey Min-seo,” she said, noticing how uncomfortable the girl looked, “are you alright?”

As Maggie introduced her to Charlotte, Tatiana waved to her, unsure of whether or not she had seen her, much less recognized her. She'd only met the Hufflepuff girl once, they'd crossed the lake together in the same boat on the night of the sorting. She'd been very sweet and kind, helping make sure she hadn't missed the ride to the castle. Charlotte had been standing around the circle awkwardly, seemingly unsure of whether or not to join the group after deciding not to play the game. This she could understand. Tatiana wasn't all that sure herself that she wanted to play, but a game seemed like the easiest way to get to know everyone else.

She motioned at Charlotte to take a seat, if she wanted, as there was still room left on the blanket. Looking around, she was aware that most people seemed to be watching with anticipation but not talking much. A group of strangers as they were, mostly all connected by a single point- Maggie. One of the newest boys to arrive seemed to know Mac as well and they were busy in conversation. Patiently waiting for someone to offer up a good dare for Maggie, she turned to some of the other students she didn't know, some of which were just arriving.

"Hi, I'm Tatiana," she introduced herself, extending her hand in their general direction. "So, how do you all know Maggie?" Maggie was the type of person to find a way to introduce herself to any, and obviously all different kinds of people as well, as she was curious about how everyone else had come to know her.

Chris watched on as he took the chip out of his hand and went too the lake, dunking it for a few seconds to make the snack extra soggy. The kid came back over and showed him before putting it into his mouth, almost making him cringe from how bad it must taste. He didn't seem to chew due to how soft it already was, neither did he want to swallow it just yet "Thanks for the dare,” The hufflepuff said back to him, even though it was clear the dissolving chip was still in his mouth "Not bad..." Chris said back to him with a respectful nod, deciding not to press on the dare he hadn't done yet. When he was about to introduce himself, he was beaten too the point yet again "I’m Carson” Introduced the boy "Chris, Chris Madson" replied the Slytherin, who gave him another short nod before looking around the increasing party around him.

Everyone seemed to be talking amongst themselves and sorting out a dare for the party host at this point, and only a few people had tried the chicken casserole. Chris crawled over and curiously looked into the bowl, from first sight it didn't look too appetising but it was always worth trying something new. He reached over and grabbed a large chip, before scraping some of the inside of his sauce along with a very small piece of chicken on top. After a few seconds of examining he slowly placed it inside his mouth and chewed. The taste wasn't great at all and almost made him spit it out instantly. None the less, he put a hand hand over his mouth and didn't let the food go to waste. Chris looked over to Mac for a few seconds, knowing it wasn't his error but how the food was really meant to taste "I dont think i'll be having that again in my lifetime" Chris says to himself while wiping away any remnants from his mouth, clearly displeased by what he just tasted.

Kind regards,
Christopher Madson

A few moments earlier, when Fumiko had said his name, he noted the 'incorrect' pronunciation, but he knew better than to point it out. Mac himself had a bit of an accent, being from Northern Ireland, though it wasn't nearly as thick as it used to be. If her experience was anything like his, she was quite full up on other people pointing it out by now. "It's nice to meet you too, Fumiko," he said with a warm smile. She seemed like a sweet girl, and he hoped they could be friends over the summer.

Then, of course, Dennis came barreling down the hill, and the rest was history.

Then, a puff of dust flew up onto poor Fumiko, which he hadn't noticed until she actually said something. His eyes wide and lit up with worried concern at the realization of this, he turned to her with his hand clasped over his mouth in surprise. He was still wearing the oven mitts, he realized - and this close to his face, they still smelt of cheese and chicken. "Oh! Are you okay?" Thankfully, she seemed to be fine, if only a little worse for wear. Then, he was drawn back into his conversation with Dennis, listening close to his story.

In all honesty, it hardly surprised him at all that Dennis had missed the train home. Still, he was happy that fate had decided to keep Dennis here for the time being, and Mac grinned as he elbowed his arm. "I guess you'll have to sign up for the Summer Camp," he said, beaming at the Hufflepuff all the while. "I wonder if they'd let us bunk together, even though we're from different houses," he mused as he slipped his oven mitts off his hands, gently setting them down beside him.

At Maggie's suggestion, Mac hesitated for a moment before raising his hand. He wasn't very good at this, but he wanted to contribute, if he could. "Oh, how's this one? Find a bug - something big - and let it crawl around in your hair for a few minutes." The dare wasn't his own design, unfortunately. His older brother had made him do it when he was younger, a memory that sent a shiver up his spine. He loved bugs, sure, but not on his scalp.

A dark-haired boy from Slytherin - Chris, if his casual eavesdropping had proved reliable - leaned over to examine his chicken casserole. Mac's heart jumped with glee; thank goodness, someone was finally going to try it. With stars in his eyes, Mac watched as the boy scooped a sizable bite onto his chip. His smile quickly fell, however, when Chris' face distorted into an expression of disgust.
"I don't think I'll be having that again in my lifetime," Chris said to himself while wiping away any remnants from his mouth, clearly displeased by what he just tasted.
Mac tried his best not to look hurt as he looked down at the blanket with a forced smile. "Oh, that's okay! It's not for everyone." Ah, an hour and a half spent copying his grandma's recipe to the T, only to have the only guest who tried it nearly spit it out in his hand. In retrospect, maybe he should've gone with the stew, instead.

Truthfully, she didn't like it if anyone asked if she was okay. To her it was too vague and she could say a million things at that moment about why she actually wasn't okay but at the moment, she really was fine but she didn't know how to answer Murphy without looking like he just said something disgusting so she tried her best to shrug it off. It didn't look like he minded at all anyway, he went straight to his friend so all was good.

She grimaced at Murphy's suggesting though it was a good dare. " Oh dear, what if it stays in there and lays eggs it in it ?" she couldn't help but express her concerns over Maggie's hair health. She would rather get near a frog than let bugs lay eggs in her hair.

Fumiko wasn't big on dares. So she usually would lie her way when she picked truth and she wasn't really creative with dares.

She wanted to participate in Maggie's attempt at making the whole group talk to each-other so she dug her hands in her pockets, hoping maybe she placed something odd it in that she can take inspirations from.

Ignoring the small coins and fuzz balls, she finally gripped and pulled out a small cylindrical item.

Lipstick

God why was this in her pocket in the first place?!

She had to use this lipstick when attending parties with her aunt and she hated every second of it. She would've taken this chance to throw it into the nearby lake if it didn't give her an idea for a dare. Trying hard to hide her mischievous smile, she said :

" How about...drawing something on her with this ~ " she presenting the lipstick, twirling it in the process to make her look cool or whatever. " Wine coloured. It's rather a deep red. No one tell Maggie what happened to her face until we get back to school "

" Or...it this too mellow? " she asked Carson, the judge of this small group discussion .

She couldn't help but slightly narrow her eyes at Chris when he made his comment about Murphy's casserole. Well, it might be true and it was nice that he was honest but he didn't have to put it in such a mean way. It broke her heart to clearly see Murphy's forced smile over the comment.

Without a second to waste, she took a chip of her own and quickly dipped it in the casserole, taking a bite of it.

The taste wasn't that bad what the hell? Perhaps it was just because Fumiko was hungrier than Chris but it genuinely tasted good. She wouldn't mind taking another bite or two. " Well you're right about this not being for everyone.." she took another chip to dip it in the casserole.

" At least now I know you and I don't have the same taste preferences, right Chris? " she gave him a small smile hoping to indicate she wasn't mocking his opinion.

She took notice of Min-Seo when Maggie talked to her and true enough the girl looked uncomfortable and Fumiko felt guilty for only realising it now.

Usually she would just ignore it and let Maggie handle it but then again, if Maggie wanted the whole group to get to know each-other it was the least Fumiko could do since she came without a party gift.

She tried to give Min-Seo a gentle smile, hoping to ease her anxiety. " Was it the lake covered chip ? " she skilfully pretended to grimace at the memory of it " I know right. I don't even want to imagine what it tasted like. You did a brave thing eating that Carson " she suddenly shot him a compliment before turning her attention back to Min-Seo.

Looking at her properly, how did Fumiko not notice Min-Seo? There was just something radiating about her that made Fumiko want to look into her eyes longer. Avoiding to look like a creep, she quickly asked :

" Has anyone told you how nice your eyes look ?" she curiously asked. It wasn't that she was throwing compliments at the Korean looking girl, she was genuinely confused how mesmerising someones eyes could be and she couldn't figure out why.

"Hi, I'm Tatiana," she introduced herself, extending her hand in their general direction. "So, how do you all know Maggie?"
She smiled warmly at Tatiana, a bit pleased she tried to talk to the group. " Nice to meet you Tatiana~ " she greeted sweetly, giving a short bow " Maggie....." she contemplated for a while if she should share her story. It wasn't even that interesting and she's surprised herself that she got invited to this party.

" I'm sure...my story isn't as interesting as the rest of you guys..." she shrugged but smiled " It was just at the Sorting Ceremony. I was intrigued by her from the Hufflepuff table and wrote a short welcoming letter you know ? " she stopped for a moment before her face started to flush .

" Oh god that sound so stalker-ish ..." she muttered before instantly covering herself in her hands, cursing herself for not thinking this through " Sorry..." she muffled out . Was the group going to look at her weirdly? Would they think of her as odd now that she sent a welcoming letter instead of a face to face one like what most people would do?

Charlotte thought everything was going pretty well until a boy in front of them made a quite hurtful comment about the casserole another boy had brought. She looked at him, her head tilted and a stern look in her eyes and somewhat of a smile on her face.
'Aww, that's not very nice...'

Her eyes then darted towards the other boy to whom she gave a friendly, timid smile, her eyebrows raised.

It was then Maggie's turn to take a dare, and Charlotte's face soon took a disgusted expression when the boy announced what she would have to do. Why couldn't they do a funny and harmless dare like she used to play in school? She didn't really know and felt relieved when Fumiko offered another dare, a sweet and innocent one.
'That seems like... like a better idea, yeah....'
she said shrugging slighlty as she glanced at Fumiko rapidly before facing the group once more.

My opinion doesn't really count here, I'm not even playing, she thought to herself.
A girl started to talk to her and the group of students around her, and it was only at this very moment that Charlotte recognized Tatiana. She had helped her get on their boat ride towards the castle the first day they ever stepped foot here, on this very lake. She looked at her as a warm smile spread on her face.

"Hi, I'm Tatiana,"
she introduced herself, extending her hand in their general direction.
"So, how do you all know Maggie?"

" I'm sure...my story isn't as interesting as the rest of you guys...It was just at the Sorting Ceremony. I was intrigued by her from the Hufflepuff table and wrote a short welcoming letter you know ?
Oh god that sound so stalker-ish ..."

Charlotte chuckled lightly at Fumiko's answer and found it very sweet she had written a welcoming letter. She took a deep breath, glancing at the group and back at Tatiana.

'Hi again Tatiana!'
she said shrugging slightly, a warm smile on her face. She tucked her hair behind her ear and pressed her lips.

'Well, I met Maggie recently as she jumped off a tree, and uh-- she bumped into me... Long story short, she's my cousin. I only found out on that day she attended Hogwarts, I'll let you imagine the shock!'
she said as she tugged on her sleeves, raising her eyebrows and laughing a little.

Min-seo looked up to see Maggie asking if she was okay. She sent a small smile and nodded. "I just don't know anyone here," she said quietly. 'They probably don't want to talk to me either' she said the last part in her head. She kept looking around the circle of people. Someone tried some kid's casserole and tried hard not to spit it out. She felt bad for the boy who made it. Min-seo sighed. Everyone knew each other. She turned her attention to a girl introducing herself as Tatiana. She seemed nice. She heard a girl ask if it was from the nasty chip. She looked up to see a Japanese girl smiling at her. She smiled back, her smile like the sun. ”It did look disgusting. How did he do that? I would never,” she said softly. She smiled at the compliment. ”Actually, no, no one has told me that. Thank you,” she suddenly felt more shy. Not many people compliment her like that. She turned to the group. ”I’m Kim Min-seo, or Min-seo Kim here. I actually met Maggie over the summer, she said in her soft voice. Everyone seemed quite nice here but that didn’t stop her from being nervous.

Carson grinned at the dares people were coming up with: making Maggie let a bug crawl around in her hair, drawing something on her face, and although the lipstick idea was funny, it seemed a little too mellow for a Parker. However, the girl who brought up the lipstick idea had a good point, it would get kind of out of hand if it laid eggs in her hair. He decided to wait a little and see if anyone else had any ideas before he chose. Ravenclaw girl came up to him and a couple of other people he was sitting by, and introduced herself as Tatiana. “So, how do you know Maggie?” she asked, smiling. One girl, Carson thought her name was Fumiko, answered, “I’m sure... my story isn’t as interesting as the rest of you guys’... it was just at the Sorting Ceremony. I was intrigued by her from the Hufflepuff table and wrote a short welcoming letter, you know? Oh god that sounds so stalker-ish...” Carson chuckled as the girl told her story, and then another spoke. “Well, I met Maggie as she jumped from a tree and, uh— she bumped into me... Long story short, she’s my cousin. I only found out in that sat she attended Hogwarts, I’ll let you imagine the shock!” Carson laughed with the girl, a fellow Hufflepuff that he thought was named Charlotte. Another girl, who seemed much shyer than the others, said in a soft voice, “I’m Kim Min-seo, or Min-seo Kim here. I actually met Maggie over the summer,” Carson nodded his head, his story was similar... “I met her in Diagon Alley, right before school started. We were both at Quality Quidditch Supplies and we bumped into each other, actually became really good friends after that, walked around Diagon Alley with each other all day. I’m glad I met her, because I’m a muggleborn, like she is, and we kind of figured all this,” Carson waved his hand in the direction of Hogwarts, “out together.” Carson remembered that day fondly, a stroke of luck that he met another muggleborn at the very peak of his confusion. Instead of his day in Diagon Alley being terrifying and confusing, with all of the magic around him, it was instead entertaining and fun. He’d have to repay her sometime...

The party seemed to be in full swing now, and Margo realised she had made a few major mistakes. The first one would’ve been coming. Of course, she admired Maggie and all her kindness, but she didn’t actually know anybody present. Sure, there were two people from her own house that she recognised in passing but that didn’t count as actually having an acquaintance. The second mistake she’d made was not bringing a gift. Two girls had brought delicious sweet treats and a boy had brought a homemade casserole. The smell of it was making her think of home and she reached forwards, took a crisp (she didn’t know why everyone was calling them chips these days) and dipped it into the casserole dish. When she put the crisp into her mouth she couldn’t help but smile. She’d heard one boy, Chris, from her own house, state his dislike for the delicious concoction. She filed this information away for later, because if he really was as cruel to say every cutting remark that crossed his mind (especially about casseroles), then she’d have to stomp on his foot the next time she saw him in the common room. Not that she knew it, but oftentimes Margo wasn’t too different from the other Slytherin boy. She did have a tendency to speak before thinking- something that she’d become a lot more thoughtful about since arriving at Hogwarts.

She’d heard everyone retelling the story of how they’d met Maggie, and Margo internally cringed once again. In the end, she decided to stay quiet whilst this subject was the center of attention- she was having a good time just sitting and observing the many kinds of people present anyway. However, when the subject of truth or dare came to light, Margo felt the urge to voice her opinion. The soggy crisp had been a little tame for her tastes.

“I think Maggie should catch a fish in the lake.” She smirked. “...But maybe we have enough food. The lipstick is also a good idea.” She added grudgingly. Maggie was the host, after all, and Margo didn’t know how fiery she was when it came to a game of truth or dare. She wouldn’t want to make a bad impression on the host of the party- an imoression that was merely for the pleasure of staying, of course.

After Fumiko complimented Min-Seo and saw how she looked more shy than before, Fumiko bite her tongue back slightly guilty for suddenly complementing a shy girl like Min-Seo. But it was true though?!

Even the smile she gave Fumiko might as well burn her eyes with that amount of radiance. There's no way a girl like her wouldn't be aware of her beauty. Not that Fumiko believed it connected with her personality. " Ahh...glad to be your first then~ " she joked lightly, not knowing what else to say.

“Well, I met Maggie as she jumped from a tree and, uh— she bumped into me... Long story short, she’s my cousin. I only found out in that sat she attended Hogwarts, I’ll let you imagine the shock!”

She stopped eating her current chip and stared at Cadunt with a genuinely surprised expression . No words needed to express how this made Fumiko felt. And Cadunt failed to mention this before?

After a few seconds, she couldn't help but chuckle at how fast Cadunt dropped that bomb.

What would it feel like to have a cousin and meet them like this? What if Fumiko will go through the same thing? Will they be friends? Can they trust each other and do what she assumed cousins do?

She..took another bite of her chip, swallowing it down along with the heart ache she felt.

“I’m Kim Min-seo, or Min-seo Kim here. I actually met Maggie over the summer, "

What a vague explanation.

Min-Seo was definitely the most shy one in the group. Fumiko had some sort of pity for shy people. They kept so much inside them, afraid of letting it out and cared too much about what other will think of them. At some point Fumiko was one too, so she decided Min-Seo was someone Fumiko wished to feel comfortable here. And hey perhaps leave with a few new friends that will bring out her inner self.

" Min-Seo...are you more comfortable with people calling you by 'Min-Seo'? " the group might think of this question as odd if they didn't know how Japanese/ Korean names work.
Reducio
The name for Koreans had the same concept with Japanese names. Last name is used formally and First name is used only for close friends and family. Though for Koreans they use a lot of other names to call each other. I'm not sure of all of them but that's all I know so far.
. Fumiko was someone that got used to people calling her by her 1st name since she was born and raised in London instead of Japan but she agreed with the concept where a first name is some what special.

That's why despite calling people by their first names, Fumiko preferred to addressing them with their last names in her head.
“I met her in Diagon Alley, right before school started. We were both at Quality Quidditch Supplies and we bumped into each other, actually became really good friends after that, walked around Diagon Alley with each other all day. I’m glad I met her, because I’m a muggleborn, like she is, and we kind of figured all this,” Carson waved his hand in the direction of Hogwarts, “out together.”
" Woooww...you guys are so lucky to found each other~ " she knew the struggles of being a muggle born but she wasn't fortunate enough in her 1st year to find another muggle born buddy or a pure/half blood to show her around the ropes.

There was great help of course, like her friends Winter and Calender but their friendship never soared to the point they showed her everything. " Was it hard for you both to figure out all - " she waved her hands similar to when Carson did it "- this? ".

She's talking as if she didn't know.

When the girl she have yet to meet suggested another dare, she quickly clapped in agreement. " Oh~ I like that dare! " she beamed .

" I think the lipstick idea is too easy for Maggie. A-ah I think we should just let the fish go once she catches it though.." her voice faltered, not sure whether the girl was joking or not about actually eating the fish.

" Ah...but it all comes down to what Carson picks " she added, glancing at Carson wondering if he had picked a dare or has he come up with another one that was more fitting for Maggie.
