Hello mother and father,
It has been a couple of days since we have last seen each other, my apologies for not sending a letter sooner. Things have been well here at Hogwarts, obnoxiously rowdy but understandable no one is the same.
I find myself missing home sometimes, the stillness of the morning, the sound of the tea kettle ringing and the smell of fresh berries from the garden. Hogwarts is quite interesting, to say the least...I just never seem to be alone, ironic don't you think? from spending most of my life as a only child and not even having to share a room to now sharing a dormitory with one other girl. Whom I know nothing about, but that is alright it's not like I am eager to talk to her about myself. I know I know, I am being tolerating of others don't worry and yes, I have been focusing on my studies. That is why I am here, afterall.
I wonder how you are doing, have the caterfillers begun to cocoon for the winter? Has the first frost arrived yet? How did you find the strawberry shortcake mother and I had made before I left for Hogwarts, Father? I know you have a sweet tooth so I wanted to make sure my you had something sweet to soothe the bitter feeling of me going to Hogwarts. I recieved the letter you had sent, yes I will make sure to hold and keep close eye on the heirloom, I promise you.
I will try to write more often, mother and father.
