@Aston Beckett as Ariam Vargas
The enthusiasm pouring out of Lemmy would come to be a trademark for the boy even as he grew and developed. There was just a lust for life within him that even the trials and tribulations of life would have trouble dimming. The fact that he was hitting it of with Ariam only further sparked his interest in meeting new people and seeking out new experiences. Lemmy vowed silently to himself to visit Chile one day and to do his best to stay connected with a new friend from the other side of the world.

"It is a pity." The boy agreed. "It would seem Hogwarts is perhaps more focused on practical learning, but Mother did mention that Divination was an optional course. So, who knows? Philosophy does seem like the better option." Lemmy raised a brow when Ariam stated that hey have not spent much time in libraries, but then remembered his teachings and wiped the critical look from his face. Not everyone was a bookworm like him and his mother. The countless hours spent lost within the pages in his families home library a testament to his passion for written word. He was tempted to whisk Ariam off the the LaRue library then and there, but the topic of language snapped him back to attention.

"Yes, can you believe it that some can learn the Giant language!" How anyone could decipher what each grunt or shout meant was beyond him. Ariam's pleasure with Hogwarts half breed policy brought another bright smile to Lemmy's face. "It is quite a privilege to be accepted into a magical school considering my Goblin heritage, but Father says that we should not hold it against society for keeping people like us out for so long. He says that change takes time and there have been fault on both sides. It does seem like our world is changing though, so I bet the other school change policy too." The true weight of the subject was still a bit over Lemmy's head. To his young mind it seemed as simple as waving a wand and poof, years of struggle and strife wiped away. The coming years at Hogwarts would surely give him an appreciation for the matter.

Lemmy couldn't help the burst of giggles when Ariam gave their best evil laugh. Just a taste of a sense of humor that Lemmy would see reflected in himself. "You'll have submit me first you rascal!" He joked back and joined in on the muhaha's. "I've no idea why they make us wait till third year for animal caretaking. Perhaps they want us to learn a bit of magic first before trying to care for dangerous creatures?" A bit of envy coursed through his veins at the idea that Ariam already had experience with such wonderful animals, but maybe Hogwarts had it right as Lemmy would most likely lose to his curiosity and end up in the Hospital Wing. He shrugged the thought away as the conversation turned to spells!

Lemmy's enthusiasm for Flipendo was only based off of seeing it cast. He was sure to learn a new respect for the spell when it was inevitably cast his way. "Expelliarmus! What an excellent choice!" This was a spell that he had never seen cast before, but he had heard and read about it in his early teachings. "A must have for eery duelist I am sure. You will have to tell me all about it once you've learnt it. I'll need some tips if I am to join the dueling team at Hogwarts!" Lemmy was eager to follow in his mother's footsteps and join the team. Time would only tell if he would be a good as her with a wand, but he had lost many hours daydreaming about bringing a dueling trophy home to join his mother's collection.

When the pair were given permission to run off to Lemmy's room he wasted no time in grabbing Ariam by the hand and leading the way! "Let's go! Just up these stairs!" They would soon be bursting through a door to Lemmy's bedroom on the private quarters area of the large house.

The part-Goblin's love for his local Quidditch team was on full display! "Welcome to my Harpies shrine, ahem, I mean my bedroom!" Lemmy chuckled at his own joke, but he wasn't too far off considering the amount of memorabilia on the walls. "So, tell me Ariam." He began to ask as he motioned for them to take a seat anywhere they'd like. "Now that they can't hear us. Do you think you'll really take over the family business one day or do you have a secret passion?"

Ariam chuckled at the look on Lemmy's face after mentioning their lack of interest in libraries. "Haha, maybe my father and my tutor just made me read too much at home, they really wanted me to get a good education before I went to Castlelobruxo." Ariam winced a bit internally, despite all the respect Ariam has for her Isadora was not a very kind teacher. She was strict and like Ariam's father, demanded perfection, making her the idea tutor Santino wanted. "It does seem like our world is changing though, so I bet the other school change policy too." "Indeed, I can only hope that Castlelobruxo follow in Hogwart's footsteps." All the history lessons did mean Ariam knew of the events leading to the way things are today, but denying people schooling just seems wrong, to Ariam it's as simple as that.

"Glad to hear you agree with me!" they smiled at Lemmy's approve of their choice of spell, they do believe it was a great choice, it certainly got used time and time again in the various duels they've seen. "We can trade dueling strategies, it's always good to experiment a little." Ariam wonders how good their advice really will be, the nervousness for their first duel against other schools has been looming in the back of their mind for a while. But that's not for another few weeks, don't worry about it, Ariam tells themselves, pushing it to the back of their mind.

The sudden movement caught Ariam off guard a bit but they quickly caught up and listened to Lemmy's advice, jumping up the stairs and running towards the young boys room. "Woah..." Ariam uttered, their eyes were greeted by many decorations themed of a quiddich team, a stark contrast to Ariam's minimalistic room. They chuckled at the room being compared to a harpies shrine before sitting down on the edgy of Lemmy's bed, thinking about their answer to his question. "Well, probably? I don't much of plan for what I want to do in the future, taking over the family business seems as good as any other choice. The piano is a passion of mine, but it will probably just remain a hobby. What about you? "

Lemmy shot Ariam an understanding look when they wince a little at the memory of their pre-schooling education. "Ah, tutors. Didn't have a private one myself, but my grandmother was quite strict. She wanted me fully prepared for Hogwarts whether I liked it or not." Another similarity the two youngsters shared. One day he would appreciate the effort they put into his education, but oh how many days had he been cooped up in the family library when all he wanted to do was to play in the garden.

Lemmy showed his appreciation for Ariam's acceptance of new policy with a beaming smile. Not that he expected a negative response from them, but it was always a pleasant surprise all the same. "Deal. if we meet again we must share any tips or tricks we learn on the dueling stage." It was so nice for them to agree on so man things. Passionate duelists who admired the same spells and were of like mind as well! What a catch this Ariam was. The true test would come shortly though when they saw Lemmy's room.

"Pretty neat, huh?!" The part-Goblin beamed with pride as he showed off all of his Harpie's collectibles. Yet it would be their future that they would discuss instead of sports. "The piano! How wonderful. I never had much talent for musical instruments, but my do I love a good concert. I do see myself following in my parents footsteps though. I love the idea of traveling the world and meeting customers. No telling if I'll be any good at the smithing though. I'll begin to apprentice under father over the summer breaks to see if I have the knack for it. We'll see."

The conversation would have to end there though as Lemmy's mother's voice called up after them. It would seem that business had concluded and the pair's time would be at a close. "Alright, Ariam. Sorry that we can't chat longer, but it has been a pleasure to meet you. I'll walk you back down to your father." A final handshake and an escorting arm would lead the way.
Lemmy leaves the thread.
