Seinaru gathers up the courage to speak up about his question, “Well, I–would like to know more about you. Talking to a senior is a new experience for me.” Well damn not him immediately not including Hanako after knowing the truth on what the senior would do with the new first years.
Wow, first day in Hogwarts and he’s already been approached by two seniors! Though one is already… eherm, something, while the other seems quite intimidating. After listening to Cash’s response, he nods, understanding the new acquaintance he made with a sixth year student. At the corner of his eye, he saw… a vulpine? Causally knocking off such things as it doesn’t seem to care that some had their eye suspiciously... well it's Hogwarts, he isn't too surprised.
Seinaru would then take a sip of water to dissolve all the food down, before he was greeted with the exact same vulpine that he met at the corner of it’s eye as the fox jumped towards Seinaru’s lap with enough pressure to make him spit his drink out.
“PPFFFTT–”
Well thank Merlin for not spitting towards someone and instead it landed towards the floor. “What the…???” Seinaru looks down to see… the fox. The SAME fox. On his lap. Don’t get him wrong, Seinaru adores foxes, especially arctic ones. But this was all too sudden.
“Uh… hello?” Seinaru greets the fox on his lap as he gently pats its head. Meanwhile, he was covering his mouth with his left hand as he coughed up the rest of the water stuck in his throat. Merlin, that frightened him for a second. “Well you look friendly..” Seinaru mutters as he gently pats the fox's head, completely forgetting about the fact that he spilt his water out because of the vulpine.

"... Well, it isn’t that friendly, to be honest."
“Hmm~?” Hanako hummed, giving an almost sickly sweet smile to Seinaru. Letting him know he choose the wrong answer, and that Hanako was going to remember it. “You wound me, Seinaru”. He said, feigning mock hurt. He supposed the boy wasn't as spineless as he thought. Perhaps feeling a sense of bravery now that another senior had joined their little chat. He wondered if Seinary knew Irownwoods was pretty much just as bad, if not worse- than Hanako.
"See, midget! with the way you bizarrely sitting in this part of the table like you were welcome here, make him uncomfortable "
“I was here because Cu Sith took interest in him” Hanako corrected, gesturing at the big snake between them. Her eyes still fixated on Seinaru as if he were the most precious gem in the world.
Ironwoods then started to go on about how Hanako always had ulterior motives. Which was frankly, true. There were no lies said. But it certainly was annoying to have it announced for the whole 1st year table to hear and listen in. Not that he cared much about what little firsties think of him. It was just annoying they were sprouting all this when they both knew Ironwoods wasn’t the most saint-like Slytherin to ever exists either.
Hanako raised his eyebrow as Ironwoods mentioning about why he’s doing this. Were they referring to admiration? As if Hanako would seek admiration from a bunch of useless 1st years. He was frankly starting to get offended at the words Ironwoods decided to spew without stop. But he supposed he deserved it in a way. This was just the natural way they both conversed. Like they were both close to strangling eachother, and yet barely manage not to.
But…Hanako could test them a bit, no? Especially after they touched his hair so recklessly…
“Hm.. pretty interesting isn’t it?” Hanako started, a small playful but fake smile on his face.“ You seem to think so negatively of how I welcome the first years. Yet it’s only this year you actually said anything about it. How so? Suddenly you have a lot of free time on your hands?” Hanako poked, a tinge of amusement in his tone, his eyes briefly flickering to where their prefect badge used to be.
His attention wouldn’t last the long as he saw a familiar red/brown fluff of fur. The grand feast was chaotic enough as it is. Hanako had no doubt he had a part in it. Was he even surprised they simply smelled the trouble brewing and decided to join in? Still, it was a welcome. At the very least, Hanako would know Burnett wouldn’t play hero and start scolding Hanako for his antics. He hardly listened to Seinaru talk to Ironwoods about a question they had. His eyes however was glued to Burnett, sceptical but happily curious what he was up to.
Cu Sith seemed positively happy about the fox, which made Hanako roll his eyes. So if Burnett was in human form, she would screech at him. And somehow his fox form changed that? “CUTEEEEE” he hissed lightly at the fox, though not moving from where she was. Still between Seinaru and Hana.
It was then that the fox jumped on Seinaru’s lap and made him spit his drink, making Hanako chuckle a bit. Finally. Some fun. “ Hmmm I wouldn’t trust it just yet, Seinaru. You know what they say about foxes, tricksters, and whatnot”, Hanako hinted, a sly grin on his face as he watched the younger boy so innocently pat Burnett’s hair. Somehow, Hanako was annoyed.
“I’ll get it out of your way, Seinaru. So you can eat in peace or whatever~” He started to reach out, intending to simply grab the troublemaker with his bare hands and just snatch him away.

The Slytherin Table 2024-2025
The fox blinked up at the white-haired young man when he spat out his drink, looking innocently clueless.
It then made small noises akin to barking but softer and nuzzled against the underside of the first year's jaw briefly; almost apologetically while the student tried to recover from their water mishap. Once Seinaru said hello, the fox stared at him. Its tail began to wag wildly once it received gentle pets and it responded with a stream of noises indicating its evident pleasure, pressing its head against the hand petting it, chittering and chuffing.
It was the sound of Hanako's voice that caused its ears to perk again and its head to look around, as if noticing the Japanese sixth year for the first time. Rather than look vacantly innocent or blank, however, the vulpine adopted something that looked undeniably like a grin and seemed to wink at him.The fox seemed surprised at Cu Sith's response to it though it couldn't understand the snake. It was still drastic enough a difference from how the pet treated Jack Burnett for the fox to notice. It seemed to raise a brow somewhat, but otherwise refocused its attention on her owner who was telling Seinaru that he wouldn't trust it. The fox yapped loudly at Hanako in reply and stood from where it sat on the first year's lap.
When the honey-brown-eyed teen began to reach out, the fox nipped lightly at his hand and leapt from Seinaru's lap, aiming for what seemed to be Cash's shoulder, yelping as it went.

“I was here because Cu Sith tok interest in himThe talking gnome speaks. "Like hell I believed you'They quipped. But then again. Cash subtly landed their green eyes on the black and yellow Emerald Gazer snake that was identical to Cash's own back in the dorm. True to Tone's words, the snake stared at Seinaru like the boy hung the moon and the stars for her.
Unlike Tone, the snake is more believable and less deceitful than her owner. To mask that they were in the wrong for assuming things - not that Tone needs to know about it - Cash spewed some fact about the loose screw senior which is Hanakao Tone to whomever firsties that listen to them intently.
From the corner of their eyes, Cash could feel that Tone was somewhat annoyed with them because the young Ironwoods had unfolded his secret to the masses. "What with the sudden quietness, dwarf?got your tongue or something?"They jabbed the other senior. At Cash's jabbed, Tone did not go down the banter without a fight.
“Hm.. pretty interesting isn’t it?”The boy started. Seeing the faux smile on Tone's face made Cash want to slap that smile away "What is?"Cash inquired. The former Slytherin's Beater might regret asking such a trivial question, but they need to know where this conversation they had with the goblin might headed.
“You seem to think so negatively of how I welcome the first years. Yet it’s only this year you actually said anything about it. How so? Suddenly you have a lot of free time on your hands.”The boy said. The flicker of Tone's eyes didn't go unnoticed by the former Prefect. Without the badge, Cash felt a bit desiderium.
The young socialite took pride in their accomplishments. Before Cash entered their 2nd year they managed to succeed put into the Slytherin's Quidditch team as a Beater. However, that didn't last that long until they became the first-string player. Then their accomplishment kept getting better and better.
In their 3rd year, Cash managed to have both the title of honorary Duelling Co-Caprain and Headliner's writer. They had crawled from becoming part-time to full-time writer for the school's newspaper. And lastly, in their 4th year Cash successfully became a Prefect. Not only just an ordinary Prefect.
They could say they were a trailblazer to show that being a Parsel and a Prefect was a possible thing since they were the breathing, living, walking proof of that. Cash took a deep breath. Their green eyes landed on Tone's. "You were right,"They started. "I had a lot of free time on my hands now"They continued on.
"Unlike you, I was pretty busy for the last three years,"They added. Cash then flicked their long hair over their shoulder like the pompous pureblood wix that they are. Hearing the question that Seinaru threw, their attention for a brief moment was focused on him. “Well, I–would like to know more about you. Talking to a senior is a new experience for me"The boy stated.
There was a glint of mischief in their eyes. With Seinaru's question, it is the perfect moment to bring up Cash's past accomplishments. "I was a Slytherin's Beater from my second year up until the beginning of the fifth year last year," They said. One. "I had been a Headliner's writer. From back-up then promoted into a full-time writer for the paper"They bragged on some more. Two.
"Honorary Co-Captain for our house since I am not a Duellist"Cash explained some more. Three. "And the highlight of all it, I was a Prefect once"They concluded.Four. Once Cash was done with their little monologue, their eyes back to the Hobbit again. "Hear that, midget? I was BUSY"They poked.
"I accomplished something during my time at this school. What did you accomplish besides being just a mere sub-par Duellist?"The former Viridian Viper Duelling Co-Captain asks their fellow yearmate.
Then somewhere deep within the chaos of the grand feast, Cash could hear the banging and clattering of dishes accidentally being dropped or mutters of protest here and there. At this moment, Cash missed their shiny Prefect badge. They couldn't get up for patrol and gave out possible detention to the offender(s).
The young Ironwoods wasn't the type of person that easily got startled. But when Seinaru let out his yelp of surprise following a spray of water coming out from his mouth, Cash jumped a little. Small droplets of the water hit Cash's ankle. "What in the Merlin's beard?!"Cash let out their surprise too.
Their green eyes then landed on the creature on Seinaru's lap. A brown/red fox perched on the boy. Seeing bizarre things at Hogwarts had become a normal custom after going to the prestige campus for six years. Cash watched Seinaru petting the fox while Tone commented not to trust the vulpine too quickly since the nature of a fox is a trickster.
And when Tone started to reach out his hands to snatch the fox out of Seinaru's lap, Cash slapped both the offended hands quite hard. "Get your grabby Hobbit's hand away from it,"They stated. "This fox was not some sort of a dog that you could cuddle and just took it to your heart's content,"Cash added some more.
"Have some respect for it if you don't have respect for yourself," They said as they eyed the fox carefully. It seems the fox and Cash shared the same brain wavelength. After Cash slapped both of Tone's nasty hands, the vulpine tapped loudly and nipped at the living gnome's hands. What Cash wasn't prepared for was the gravity force that was coming toward their way.
To get away from Tone, the fox decided once again to jump from Seinaru's lap onto their shoulder. "Woah there,"They exclaimed as the fox pushed them back a bit. The first year that was sitting beside Cash also got knocked over by the sudden force. Instead of apologizing, Cash could care less about some unworthy little first-year.
Cash caught the vulpine by its torso and thanked Merlin for years and years of being a Quidditch player. Their balance wasn't that horrible as they caught themselves who was almost toppled over because of the mischievous vulpine. "Where are you going? Are you in a rush, buddy?"They asked as they put the fox down between them and Seinaru on the long wooden bench.
Seeing the eyes of the fox reminded them of their dogs' boba eyes like back home. Cash tried very hard not to melt at the sight, smiled at the adorableness of the creature, and gathered all of their willpower not to pet the fox no matter how cute it was.

By Cash’s endless speech about their achievements, Seinaru would nod, secretly holding back the motive to say ‘okay that’s enough buddy’. That made him remember a memory where Chihiyo compared him to his older sister’s achievements. Ah, whatever. Those were past memories and him being in Hogwarts is a whole new experience that he will definitely not keep it to waste.
While a few droplets trickled down Cash’s ankle, Seinaru gestured his hand as an apology as he coughed out some water by covering his mouth with his hand to prevent it coming out fully. By Hana’s offer to take the fox off Seinaru’s lap, Cash already did the move that he wanted to do, to swat Hana’s hands away. But no one’s stopping him, so just right after Cash slapped both hands from Hana, Seinaru swats Hana’s hand away. “No no, it’s perfectly fine. The fox can stay as long as it likes.”
Seinaru was surprised by the fox who jumped from his lap towards Cash’s shoulder. Meanwhile Seinaru continued to finish off the porridge he ate earlier before he was interrupted by the commotion a few moments ago. Well he didn't had anything interesting to continue with, and he was hungry so he should just finish off his food. His first day at Hogwarts was… interesting. It wasn’t even exciting, he wanted to question things so bad because of his inexperience with the Wizarding World, he doesn’t get 60% on what’s going on.

The Slytherin Table 2024-2025

Colin was late for the sorting ceremony! He and Liam had been messing about outside, trying to catch a glimpse of the firsties as they crossed the lake and perhaps send some flowers or purple sparks floating over them! But they never got the chance and just ended up finishing their long conversation from the train, whilst watching Greebo stalk about in the weeds. They both knew that these moments would be their last together for a long while! What with Liam being in Ravenclown and all! It had been a sad journey for both of them. Bittersweet really. The summer had both its terrifying and its exciting times!
Going back to Hogwarts felt more like coming home again for them both than it had ever done before. Neither knew, just yet, what the future would hold for them. Memories flashed through Colin's mind as he and Liam walked up towards the castle. Angus and Alex had been such prats all through the time they'd spent in London. They'd overheard Ma and Da arguing. Again. Neither one would say anything. They just sneered meanly and blamed Colin and Liam both for what was going to happen to them all. And wasn't it bad enough, Alex said, the little ones in St Mungos. And worse than that, Angus chimed in, twas all your fault Caileann! You and Liam! Blood traitors and monsters!
Colin had wanted to set Angus on fire again, but Liam got him to calm down. Barely. Ma had barely recognised Colin and Liam's presence when she left for America with the two brats. And she said nothing at all to Da. Only that she would be gone for some time.
As they got up to the doors of the great hall, Colin looked into Liam's eyes, and Liam looked into Colin's eyes. This would be their great parting as Liam would go over towards Ravenclaw Table when he might sit near Clair or Bailey; while Colin himself would head for Slytherin Table. He didn't really want to sit with friends, but he didn't want to be alone either. They nodded to each other. They would stride into the hall, as usual, as if they owned the place. Whatever problems or troubles were awaiting them at home would just have to wait until exeat weekend or Christmas holiday.
Colin smirked as he loped into the hall and headed over towards he house's table. Greebo hopped up onto the table, keeping pace with his boy. The sorting ceremony was already in progress! Colin heard Headmaster Lear call out a name and some wee danger noodle would timidly climb up on the old stool and have the Sorting Hat dropped on his head. Sometimes it almost swallowed their face they were so tiny! Then the hall would cheer --- or jeer --- as the tender little babes would take their places among those older kids who had survived the ravaged of life at Hogwarts. As he made his way along behind the Slytherin bench, he heard an odd name.
"Meyra Lancaster!" called the Headmaster. A tiny little girl went up from the queue and clambered onto the stool. Colin thought back to his own sorting, warring with that dratted Hat as it threatened to separate him from his twin brother. He'd wanted nothing more that summer than to be in the same house as Liam. They were both so certain they'd get Ravenclaw! Da and Uncle Colin were Ravenclaw, so it seemed only natural they'd follow in their heroes' footsteps. But for him, it wasn't to be!
Colin saw an empty spot up ahead. He hopped up onto the bench, his bare feet making no sound. He strolled along the ancient wood, polished by the bottoms of decades worth of Slytherin students as they gathered here for meals and school functions. The Hat cried out: "Gryffindor!"
Colin smirked. He cupped his hands and turned towards the poor ickle danger noodle, calling out amidst the applause and cheers: "GRYYYYYYFFINDOOOOOOORQUE!!!" He chuckled softly, wondering if Kim or Keith heard him! He watched as Greebo sauntered along the table, sniffing delicately here and there. Colin hopped over a kid, inconveniently placed between him and the spot he'd scoped out to at last alight.
Greebo's ears and stance were alert. "Aye, laddie! I smell him too!" Colin briefly looked down at the surprised first year. "Pardon us mate, we're just passing through!" And with a merry laugh, he at last Colin came to a stop. He nodded towards sixth years Cash and Hana before crouching down next to what appeared to be a brand new Slytherin danger noodle! The kid had white hair, like Colin's own! And it was a bit messy, like Colin's own! Well, not quite as messy!
Greebo's eyes tracked the red fox as he leapt up onto Cash's shoulder. Colin smiled. By way of greeting, Colin said to the first year, just loud enough so the fox could hear as well: "I smelled that fox a mile off, lad!" Colin smiled, arranging his kilts before checking out the food on the table. Greebo sniffed at the new boy, perhaps interested in taking over the pats and chin scratches from the fox. "I'm Colin, by the way!" He nodded towards the fox. "And that is the best red fox you'll ever meet at Hogwarts!"

Vikus sit at the Slytherin table all alone after classes. He sit there on his own and looking at the other fellow students talking with one another. He was thinking it been few day days and at his new school and he hasn't found any new friends yet. He was worried that he will be alone for the rest of his school years. He Thought to himself " Has long as I do my best in all my classes I can become an Auror like my parents." He decided to rather enjoy his dinner and then continue with his homework that he doesn't cause himself to ruin his grades. He will never forget the his own morals not even if it comes to classwork. He drank his pumpkin juice and when he was finished with it he will go back to his common room to continue his assignments from his professors to get high grades. He sit there and wonder longer about the way he should get new friends and maybe they can help to create a study group to make assignment much easier but yet again his pride also steps in with his thoughts "why should I use someone else's ways of study if I can do my best own my own to achieve my goals." He waited a few minutes before going to his common room. After a few minutes has passed he went to his common room

He didn't recall sitting down, only that he did. He had gotten up from the stool of disappointment, and sat at the table of misery. He wasn't a Gryffindor. He wasn't placed in the house his family had been in. Why. That was the simple question. If he wasn't a pure blood and if he didn't know better he would have argued with the hat, perhaps even yell a bit at the headmaster demanding he try again.
Though Oliver knew deep down. That the hat never made mistakes. That he wasn't ever going to belong in the brave and bold house of lion. That didn't mean he had to like it. In fact he hatted it. The look on Aaron's face, he stared down at the table. Ignoring most of what was going on around him. Not paying much attention to the sorting.
Though he could still hear, of course. He felt a wave of envy each time that stupid hat shouted Gryffindor. Every cheer from that table, he had been so sure of himself. So sure that he belonged there. Not here. He had never seen himself in any other house. He had never been told anything else. His family always told him the sorting hat was never wrong, and always knew to put an Armani in Gryffindor. So this, it felt very wrong. Not right at all.

The Slytherin Table 2024-2025

A new face suddenly popping up out of nowhere immediately gave Seinaru a jumpscare. He was practically shivering in his timbers due to the attention that he’s getting by these seniors. He didn’t even plan for his first day to be like this! Aargh, he’s too confused! He looks up at the white haired boy who had the appearance similar to an… arctic fox? Oh how Seinaru was quite curious now about the senior!Hex colour text: #6D7EB9
“The best fox I'll ever meet? Well that’s amazing to hear, Colin.” Seinaru would gulp down all his food by a cup of water before he took a good look at every single senior that he’s being surrounded by. Hanako, definitely not trustable with that sly smile of his. Cassandra, eh… he has no idea whether to trust them but they do look intimidating. The fox, which he doesn’t know the name at all but is starting to connect with since… well… a fox. Seinaru’s most favourite animal of them all. Colin, messy white hair who definitely looks like an extrovert… hmm… unsure.
Seinaru’s mind hadn’t realised that his eyes were looking up at Colin for a little too long before his mouth decided to take action by suddenly murmuring to Colin in a hearable tone, “... can I touch your hair?” Seinaru took a moment to figure out what he said before he jumped in his seat, embarrassed by what he had randomly confessed. “Ah! So sorry for the random question! I mean, your hair just looked really nice. It seems like I can give it a touch? Yea but of course you won't let some random first year touch your hair right? Haha, haha.”
Seinaru chuckles to himself awkwardly. Congratulations Seinaru, you have now embarrassed yourself that bad until you have started to fumble with your words. He clears his throat before shutting himself with a piece of bread, slowly turning away from the seniors around him as he was now facing the dining table now. Well this is even more embarrassing. By looking at the other students currently feasting on the dining table, he just analyses them before eyeing on the other houses. He’s heard that Slytherin were the meanest & cunning house… which he can’t deny. Most of the faces don’t look too trustable. If he could, he'd like to dash out of the dining hall just to head to his dorm. But he doesn’t have the confidence to do it at all. He’d look cringe walking outside like he’s some main character.
Seinaru was praying that the senior would brush off on what he asked so randomly and continue on with his life. He looses way too many aura for embarrassing himself like that and acting like it didn't matter to him which it DID, HEAVILY.
(OOC NOTE: To the people who don't understand the slang 'aura', it means a lighthearted quantification of a person's cool factor. Example, 'I lost -50000 aura when I accidentally fell down in front of a rock that I was aware of!' or another one, 'I gained +1000 aura for befriending a Quidditch player.' Of course, it doesn't need to always have numbers.

The Slytherin Table 2024-2025

Another newly declared Slytherin joined the table just then. Reddish hair, sad looking. Colin smirked. Poor kid must be overwhelmed being sorted into the Best House in all Hogwarts! He jabbed a sausage with his fork and took a bite. Mmmm. Hogwarts sausages were surely the best! Colin watched as the new kid kind of slumped on the bench. Maybe something was wrong?
Like really wrong.
The white haired kid next to him spoke up then. Colin looked towards him and noticed that the boy was staring at him. At least he seemed genuinely happy to have met Jack! Colin smiled. "Yep! He's housebroken and everything! And he likes cats! This is Greebo, by the way," Colin said, nodding towards the black cat on the table. "He likes people well enough, so won't likely hiss at you!"
The boy was still staring at Colin. Colin wondered why. Did he have leaves in his hair again? He reached up to check. It wouldn't be the first time, and anyway, weren't he and Liam messing around down by the lake, checking out the first years as made their journey across the water! He was just so happy to be back --- home. Especially after all the things that happened during the summer!
Colin returned the boy's stare.
"Can I touch you hair?" the boy asked. Colin munched on a block of cheese.
Colin smirked. Yes, definitely home! The greeting was somewhat unexpected, perhaps far more unexpected for the first year than for Colin himself! The boy jumped in his seat! Colin smirked. He shook his head, still holding the new kid in his stare. "Sure!" He leaned in closer. "I probably won't bite either! Have you ever patted a wolf?"
Poor firstie! He stumbled through some explanation. At least the kid didn't mention his scars! That was a plus. Colin shook his head gently as the first year turned away, back towards the table. The other new kid caught Colin's attention again. He didn't seem to want to say anything at all. And Colin wondered if he were okay.
He thought back to his own sorting. Standing in the front there with Liam at his side. He --- then it struck him! He had felt so horrible the way that dratted Sorting Hat had torn him away from his twin! Colin wondered. "Oi!" he called to the new boy across the table. "Laddie Red Hair! Ye alright? Ye look sad! Like me on my sorting. Do you have a twin that didn't make it into the Best House? Maybe some brothers or sisters in Gryffindorque?" Colin sighed but gave him a friendly smile. "Honestly," he lowered his voice. "Sometimes I think that Sorting Hat actually gets us wrong..."
