Making up for Mistakes Made
Serena glanced over at the girl as she said she only knew one person's name. The Hufflepuff thought it was a bit strange that she did not introduce herself after saying but she quickly shook her head, dismissing those thoughts. They reminded her too much of her mother. Serena's mother always insisted it was good manners to introduce yourself when asking for someone else's name. Serena personally thought it was a little unnecessary to constantly introduce yourself - especially when people often knew who you were. Rumours spread faster than anything. "Serena." She introduced herself, dropping off that wretched surname that she disliked. It carried too much stigma against it. Whether that was from a pureblood or a student who recognised the rumours. Either way, her first name would suffice.
The Hufflepuff diligently continued to clean up, throwing as much rubbish as she could into her black bin bag. Once it had started to fill up, she twisted the top of it until she was able to tie a knot. It took a few attempts as the plastic material kept slipping out but she successfully tied the knot closed. Serena carried over the large bag, almost tripping over it as she waddled her way across the grounds. She dropped it besides the rest of the trash, ready to be taken into the school or disposed off.
After she had completed, she looked around and noticed the kind people who had pitched in were all busy working away on different tasks. A few of them had started to move the floorboards, others helped clear the trash or take down the decor. Serena noticed a few lone chairs that had yet to be stacked up, which she quietly made her way to. One by one, she picked them up and wobbled her way over to the pile of chairs, where she stacked them. They were not overly heavy. She was just not very strong. Her physical fitness would be the death of her, that was noticeable as she struggled trying to lift them all onto the stack and pile them up properly. Serena knew she needed to work on that.
But then again, there was a lot that she had to work on. Her knowledge of magical spells was severely lacking too. She was never as good as she needed to be. Cleaning was far more tiring than it looked. The Hufflepuff finished stacking the chairs as she heard a voice. The Gryffindor girl asked if they should leave. She nodded, "I think so too, we look like we're done!" She replied, a bit more energy in her voice than before. She was actually a little proud of herself for helping out, even though she did not need to. Perhaps it was because it made her feel like she was capable or more responsible than she first thought. Whatever the reason was, she was also relieved it was done. Her arms were getting tired of lifting and her lower back was hurting a little from the sheer amount of times she had to bend over to pick something up. She really needed to just lay down again. Slothing around was definitely her forte. None of this active, fitness thing. That was not the Hufflepuff's way. That was not the Serena way.
Nodding in agreement with the boy, "Thanks guys, it went a lot faster with you all. Think we did an alright job!" Serena claimed as she rubbed her hands onto a napkin to clean them up a little. The second year quickly picked up her bag and belongings too, "See ya!" She gave a quick wave of her hand before turning on her heels and heading out.

Koko nodded when the Hufflepuff - Serena, she committed to memory - introduced herself. "It's wonderful to meet you. I'm Koko." She smiled; the stench in the area was lessening immensely. In fact, the twelve-year-old was finding it much easier to breathe.
The whole part of the Campgrounds looked much nicer, actually. It was almost as beautiful and welcoming as it had been before the Blossom Ball had taken place, but there were still a few discarded and lonesome pieces of litter around the edges. Koko quickly bent to pick them up and placed them in her black plastic bag. It was beginning to fill, though not as much because she had also been stacking chairs rather than picking up trash. Stacking chairs was a much cleaner job than picking up trash, and they both were pretty much a requirement.
Koko relieved one hand from its task of holding the bag, and she brushed a stray strand of hair from her face. Her arms ached. She might have pulled a muscle somewhere, but to feel the weight of the guilt yanked off of her, the girl found that it was entirely worth it. "I do agree that it looks nice. We did a wonderful job of this," Koko said, her eyes bright with accomplishment. She actually felt useful for once. She had done something well. That might not surprise the average person, but it surprised Koko. She was used to either servants doing things for her, or doing things with magic. Never had she done something the Muggle way, at least not like this.
Koko tied the black plastic bag, not being able to spot any more trash in the Campground area. "Yeah, I think we're done here. Have a great day!" Koko grinned, and then she skipped off to wherever happy little girls skipped off to - likely the Great Hall. She was absolutely starving.

Making up for Mistakes Made
As if it were a miracle, the awful, awful cleaning was finally done. Well, that was an overstatement, it wasn't that bad. And it kind of felt good to be contributing to the school in a positive way, as cheesy as it sounded. But what did not feel good were her sore arms and back from picking up the dance floor. Now she knew how old people felt like all the time.
When finally getting a break and looking up at the aftermath of the cleanup, it truly didn't look like a dumpster fire anymore. Of course, there were still singed patches of dead grass and a lingering smell of spoiled food from the trash bags, but it was a vast improvement. Especially because it didn't resemble the literal apocalypse anymore. The real question was why did it take so long for them to clean the aftermath of the ball? A lot of people were probably scared of coming back, some students were really affected by the event, but that didn't mean professors couldn't just scourgify the place. It wasn't that hard. And if she said this to people, they'd probably say not to rely on magic, blah blah blah... But what took two hours for Marla and these other people could take five minutes with the wave of a wand. It was just stupid.
Asking if they were permitted to leave, it seemed that everyone agreed that their work in the campgrounds was done. Relief flooded through Marla's body, so much that she grew a bit faint. Cleaning wasn't terrible, but it was definitely not one of her favorite things to do. All the redhead wanted to do was go back to her dorm, curl up into a ball, and fall asleep reading a book in the common room as always. At least she'd get a few points for her house though...
Before leaving the campgrounds going back to their daily affairs, everyone began to say goodbye and thank each other. "It was nice working with you guys, we really did put a dent in this mess..." She remarked, once again looking around at the now clean field of grass. "Anyways, thanks for helping out, I should probably get back to the common room. Bye!" Marla gave a tiny wave and began to walk in the direction of the castle, letting a sigh of relief escape her lips.

Making up for Mistakes Made
Alexx continued to work with the others until everything had been finished successfully. As they all began to make their leave, the blonde girl smiled at the progress. Her eyes sparkled just a little, too. Even if she wasn't happy about the circumstances in which she was doing this, it was nice to see them capable of working together and doing things to accomplish something. They had moved the floor, even, something she thought she couldn't do. Alexx let out an exasperated sigh, dusting her hands off a bit, still really disgusted by all the filth that she had touched today.
"Looks good," She said, nodding. Alexx was terrible with emotions, but she meant so sincerely. It did look good, and she was proud. "Yep, I think we're done." Nodding, she turned to face back towards the school, ready to take her leave. Alexx would surely be taking a nice, long bath in the Prefects Bathroom (of course, only after washing her hands thoroughly, so that she wasn't just bathing in her own filth). A nice scrubbing of her hair was in order right about now.
So the Slytherin Prefect started making her way towards the castle. Her hand gave a gentle wave to the group, and she even smiled at them a little bit. "Bye," She called out, nodding her head as she looked at them. Yes, a bath would be perfect right now.
