Aria had been awake since 4 in the morning. She really didn't like dinner the night before, (salmon) so she made the stupid decision of not eating anything. Because of this, she woke up very early in the morning with a grumbling stomach. She laid in bed looking up at the top of her four poster bed, wishing she had eaten something the night before. Every minute she would check her watch, hoping that it was closer to breakfast. But the time seemed to be going so slowly, and she just kept growing more hungry. Then Aria got an idea.
I know there is food in the kitchens. Maybe if I could go grab just a little something...
But Aria stopped herself. If she left her dorm right now that would be breaking rule number four: You may not be outside of your commons rooms before 6:00 am 7:00 am without permission. But she was so hungry! And it would only be this once. Plus it wouldn't really be a big problem... as long as Aria didn't get caught.
So Aria's decision was made. She would go to the kitchens, and take a little snack, and then return to her common room without attracting any attention to herself.
Aria snuck out her common room and quietly made her way to the kitchens which was surprisingly easy. But now it was time for the hard part: Taking the food. But something caused Aria's stomach to drop. She was right at the door to the kitchen when she heard a noise behind her.

Tossing and turning, turning and tossing, Nora hadn't stopped all night. Currently, she was lying on her back, bed sheets twisted in her legs and arms splayed out on either side. She stared up at the ceiling, silently prayying it would fall on her and knock her out, so she could finally get some shut-eye. At this point, she wondered why she bothered going to bed at all, if she was only going to wake up every five minutes. Why don't they teach us a spell for stuff like this? Nora wondered bitterly, as she turned on to her side.
Boy, was she hungry. Maybe a morning snack was in order? Nora reached her hand under the bed and pulled out a medium-sized tin box. Prying the lid open as quietly as she could, she peaked inside. Empty; blast it. She usually stored all kinds off treats in there, but she hadn't recieved a package from her parents recently, nor had she visited Hogsmeade, so it wasn't too surprising that she was out. Well, no worries. She could always pop down to the kitchen for a bite to eat. Nora slid the box back under the bed, making sure to cover it up well. Sure, she liked her roommates well enough but that doesn't mean she trusted them.
Nora swung her legs off the side of the bed, stood up, and quietly slipped out of the room. Once she was out, she took up a quicker pace. She had no idea what time it was, but honestly? She didn't really care. It might have looked a little dumb to an onlooker, how brashly she was walking down the hall. She wasn't really making an effort to be quiet, mostly because she knew it would be in vain. Nora was just naturally loud. As she turned the corner, she spotted a younger student near the portrait entrance. It was a brunette girl, and Nora could tell she'd heard her footsteps. Oh well, better make some fun out of the situation.
"Going for an early morning snack, are you?" Nora questioned. She crossed her arms, trying to look like a prefect.

Going for an early morning snack, are you?
Aria whipped her head around in fear and instantly ran through her entire mind for an excuse, but could think of nothing.
I- I'm not- I didn't-
Aria took a deep breath and gathered her thoughts. She stopped and took a good look at the person who had just spoken. It was a girl with fair skin, but not to pale, blue eyes and dark hair. She had her arms crossed and a look of authority on her face. Was she a prefect? Or a student? Aria didn't want to ask if she was a prefect because that would sound suspicious. But what if she wasn't? What if this girl was sneaking a snack too? Aria decided she didn't want to risk another detention, so she thought quickly for an excuse.
Sorry, I lost my sweater, and I decided to go looking for it... I have more sweaters of course, like this isn't my only sweater but I'm just chilly and that is my favorite sweater, the one I lost I mean...
Aria stopped talking. At this point she was just babbling. She looked like an idiot. She knew she failed with this excuse, so she crossed her arms and hung her head low in defeat. Aria was caught.
