Ravenclaw v Slytherin Quidditch Game Finished

~ * ~
So much had happened in a short period of time. One of Ravenclaw's chasers had had the Quaffle again, but luckily, Elijah had saved it when the girl had attempted to score. The Ravenclaw beaters had all attempted to hit targets on the Slytherin team. Ruby had been one of them – thankfully, she had been paying enough attention and was able to react in time to dodge. However, one of her teammates wasn't so lucky, and had been knocked off her broom. Ruby winced, feeling a small twinge of guilt that she hadn't been able to stop the hard fall – but she had been involved in a play. Even so, that play hadn't gone particularly well. They didn't hit their target, and Alexx had to do the lap around the pitch as a penalty.

All of that was what had already happened, though, and the game was still tied. There was still hope left. With Alexx temporarily out of the picture, she glanced over at Elena, who seemed to now be sharing a broom with Koko. That left Ruby to deal with the Quaffle, so she moved into an open space, near enough to Elijah that she would be within his range. Hopefully, he would be able to pass to her without anyone interfering, and then she would try to score – but she couldn't get ahead of herself. She had to focus on the game as it was currently. She hovered in position, ready for whatever came her way.

Missed again. Amanda grunted in frustration as the bludger whizzed past Elena. She gripped her bat tighter, causing her knuckles to turn white. She looked around the field with a determined expression. Her competitive nature was taking over, even though it already had been there for most of the game.
The bludger was headed her way and Amanda had to think fast. Then her smarts kicked in and she began to visualize a strategy. Hopefully her teammates were thinking the same way. She hit the bludger with a powerful swing, desperately hoping that this time, she would hit her mark.

Cecily watched the events play out, still staying a bit away from the action. Yes, she would love to be in there, going for the Quaffle, but there would hopefully be many more games following this one, and much more time to have her moment. Though cheesy, she really did want a "moment". She didn't get noticed for much else around the school.

She continued to keep a keen eye on all fo her teammates, ready to swoop in at a moment's notice. Really, if one were to see it as such, a save that ends up putting one's team up a player could be the pivotal moment in a game...maybe that would be her moment. Plus, it could look epic.

Ravenclaw v Slytherin Quidditch Game Finished
Sorry this took me so long, I have been waist deep in one of the next larger expansions that we are working on. At about 10k words a day for the last several days, I have had a hard time finding the time for this moderation.
Solomon would wave his hands, a whistle would make a shrill sound. "Foul! Alexx Severin from Slytherin!" Had the attempt took down another opponent it might have been worthwhile. Warren was doing just about nothing on the field (Note: he decently left Discord. I think he might have quit the community.) Slytherin was also down one more. @Alexx Séverin needed to make her way around the perimeter of the field before she would be allowed back into play and she would have to do it quickly.

The Seekers @River Dewlight and @Dan Palmer would scan the field and try to locate the snitch.
River Dewlight searches for the Snitch.
Roll: 10 + 8 + 3 = 21 [DC is 23]
Dan Palmer searches for the Snitch.
Roll: 10 + 13 + 2 = 25 [DC is 23] success!
Dan's eyes would land on the snitch! A flit of gold in the dark, stormy sky. His hands gripped on the slick, cold shaft of the broom he would keep his eyes set on the snitch. With any luck he would grab the elusive snitch and secure a victory for his team before they are all taken out. At least that would be the likely hope, Ravenclaw was out for blood.

The wind would blow harder, the rain pelted their faces. Members of the crowd found cover under umbrellas as the soaking rain weighed down the youths in this Quidditch display.

One of the beaters would perhaps notice this diversion in his path. @Amanda Sparrow had targeted Dan. When the bludger whizzed in her general direction she readied her bludger and with a hard smack she cracked the bludger hard and sent to sailing straight for Dan.
Amanda attempts to bludger Dan.
Roll: 5 miss
Dan attempts to avoid the bludger.
Roll: 13
Her attempt to strike down the Seeker would fail. She would not know, at least yet that he had found something. Once Dan make his find known, it was likely the entire team would converse upon him.

A flash of lightning followed by the rumble of thunder a second later. The storm was growing in intensity. Solomon was unsettled on the ground. A pair of medics had already dragged Marcia off the soaking wet field and brought her someplace dry. He hoped nobody else fell to the ground but the students seemed hell-bent on doing just that. If they did not kill each other, at this rate the storm might help.

The Keeper, @Elijah Huang had possession of the quaffle, that made him an unfortunate target. He was not built to carry the quaffle across the length of the quidditch field on his broom and even if he somehow made it, his skills were elsewhere. No, he had to relinquish his hold on this thing that made him an absolute target. He would eye @Ruby Cazares across the field, she might be able to make it to the Raenclaw rings before the other team noticed.
Elijah passes the Quaffle to Ruby
Ruby attempts to obtain Quaffle from Pass
Roll: 7 + 8 = 15
Arc attempts to intercept the Quaffle
Roll: 8 + 5 = 13
Lavina attempts to intercept the Quaffle
Roll: 5 + 17 = 22 success
The keeper would attempt to send the quaffle to his team mate, it was better in her hands than in his own. With a mighty toss, well perhaps not particularly mighty, that was why someone else was going to make that very journey. Clever boy. The Ravenclaws would see the attempt and try to intercede. A duo of Chasers, @Arc Perscivious and @Lavina Cloven would rush to the site of the pass as would a single Slytherin chaser,  Eyeing the arc of the quaffle the three would scramble to a point of convergence.

There would be eight hands vying for the coveted leather sphere. Lavina, the ridiculously lucky perhaps Ravenclaw would intercept the pass and she would attempt to rush back towards the Slytherin rings. Elijah would be faced with a familiar sight -- the determined or perhaps excited expression on Lavina's face as she attempted to again score for her team.
Lavina attempts to score.
Roll: 3
Elijah attempts to protect his goal.
Roll: 17 blocked
Elijah would dive in front of the ring as Lavina hurled the quaffle. His gloves would grip the slick quaffle and he would hold it tight. Not today Lavina! Again Elijah had possession of the quaffle, he was back to where he was mere seconds earlier. All eyes on him, he could either try rushing the goal himself this time or pass the quaffle again to one of his teammates.

@Angelica Rowley was going to take down Elijah. They were already down one member and Elijah (once again) had possession of the quaffle and seemed to be a rather effective gatekeeper of the rings. The bludger was headed in her direction, she would wack the bludger with her bat and try to take down the good keeper Elijah.
Angelica attempts to bludger Elijah.
Roll: 3 miss
Elijah attempts to dodge.
Roll: 18
Nobody seemed to be able to touch Elijah today. He was fast, his keen sense for danger would keep him safe as he moved just in the nick of time to avoid calamity with that bludger that shot past him erratically.

@Emma Hill was also trying to thin out the snakes nest. She was going to try to take down @Koko Riddle. There were already down one Beater, this would severely hamper their defenses. Once the bludger came her way, with the *crack* of her bat she would send the bludger flying in Koko's direction.
Emma attempts to bludger Koko
Roll: 2 miss
Koko attempts to dodge.
Roll: 14
Koko would save herself from a painful end. The bludger would shoot past her. Koko and @Elena Jones had only one option -- to fight back. They would team up, their focus on...
Random Target: 1 - River, 2 - Hengist, 3 - Arc, 4 - Emma, 5 - Cecily, 6 - Amanda, 7 - Lavina, 8 - Angelica.
Roll: 6 Cecily
The duo would target @Cecily Quinn. There would be nobody to save her from the pair's brutal assault as they performed the dreaded Double Headed Dragon.
Elena & Koko perform the Double Headed Dragon on Cecily.
Roll: (7 + 6)/2 + 16 miss
Cecily attempts to dodge.
Roll: 7 + 19
Fortune was on her side as the two worked together to deliver what would have been a crushing blow had it hit its mark. It would seem that the rain was making everything too slippery wet. The bludgers were not going where they needed to be. The quaffles were not making it into the ring. However, the snitch was literally just a a lucky grab away.

Quaffle: It is in Elijah's possession. Elijah can leave his goal and attempt to score or he can pass the Quaffle to another player. I will add this move to the play list because it is an oversight that such does not seem to exist. A PASS would be considered Elijah's action, he would still be able to guard his goal this way. There is a risk of course, by passing the Quaffle it can be intercepted. While there are no premade plays that have interception as an option (those plays are just sample plays, you can make all the plays you would like) an interception can be done by ANY player as an attempt to intercept the quaffle. What stat does this? ACCURACY. It is a contested ACCURACY roll between the user that is passing and the person attempting to intercept. If the user that is passing wins the roll, then the quaffle reaches its intended target.

Blatching: There was an attempted blatching. Alexx would be called on the foul for that, effecting her next round action.
The only person who did not post this round was @Warren Kirland

If she was being completely honest, Emma didn't mind the outcome of the last round. All the bludgers missed, another score was once again blocked by the Slytherin keeper, and the rain only continued to stick to her face. The only thing she wanted to be told was the seeker had found the snitch; it would just make her day.

On the bright side, none of their players were down and Slytherin remained on defense. And it was going to stay that way. Pulling a strand of wet hair from her face, she looked from teammate to teammate and raised her bat, scanning the field for an unsuspecting player. With the crack of her bat, she sent another bludger flying his way without a single thought of luck or injury. She didn't want to jinx the game, after all.

Honestly, he was beginning to feel useless. He was glad that his team was doing well and putting Slytherin on the defense, but the only thing he'd managed to do all game was miss a save right at the start. One upside to all the waiting, however, was that he was getting a few ideas by watching the outstanding keeping by Elijah.

'I know he's the enemy, but wow is he doing great,' Hengist thought as he watched Elijah save attempt after attempt. He hoped that if it came down to it, he'd be able to do even half as good a job as Elijah was. So, he continued to watch the motions of the quaffle and chasers, staying ready for any goal attempts by the opposing team.

There would be time to mope that night, but right then, Angellica wasn't about to allow another miss cause her to lose hope. Her mark might not have received the bludger, but he did get the quaffle and that was problematic. She needed to figure something out. Shifting positions to get her bat on the opposing end of a bludger, the blonde zoomed through the air, catching a look from her captain before resuming the play she had begun with a grin on her lips.

Steadying herself she took aim on her mark, reaching back to swing as the bludger came closer. In the moments before her swing, she took a deep breath. When the ball shot at her through the air as she surmised, she met it with her bat, giving a hearty sound deep in her throat as she swore she would hit her mark regardless of cost.

Once again, the dark-haired boy did not manage to what he was intended to do. His effort to catch the Quaffle was yet again fruitless. Thankfully, Lavinia, as she had always been, managed to intercept the ball from reaching the other snakes. Unfortunately, her attempt to score was denied once gain by Elijah.

The bad news kept on pouring, just like the rain. None of their bludging attempt managed to connect. And to put a cherry on top of a bad carrot cake, Dan seemed to have managed to locate the Snitch! The time was getting desperate. And desperate times called for desperate measures. Her captain was already on to the next strategy, though, and Arc could not agree more. With a nod, the boy marched onward to probably the last part of the game.

River’s brain was going fuzzy. That was something it would usually do whenever she was too focused on something specific for too long. Right now, the snitch had been keeping all her focus. Spotting that bloody thing was definitely not easy, especially not in this insane weather.
On top of all that, she could feel her head begin to ache, as her hair, for once, was pulled back in a secure pony-tail, which was very uncommon for River, and her head did not seem to like this change. Still, it was for the best, as having her heir fall around her face at this time, would probably have been even worse.

With no current success of finding the snitch, River turned to see how the other seemed to be doing. Apparently, all their previous plans had not been successful, and things seemed to not go their way. The slytherins had the quaffle, and no one seemed to have been knocked off their broom. At least we still have all our players still in the air... She though, and attempted to surpress the feeling of getting more and more angry with that bloody snitch which would be the key to the game.
