Just a fun thread for anyone to join!
I have this Green Sparks Charm in my trunk btw
<-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
It was a random Tuesday in October. Aria was exhausted from a long day of classes. There was one more class for the day though, and it was the most boring class of them all: History of Magic. While Aria loved most of her classes at Hogwarts, this was easily one of the worst classes. There was no hands on learning, no fun! Just reading from a boring text book.

Aria entered the classroom and heard the usual chatter of her fellow students. Soon, everyone settled down and the class started. The professor came to the front of the classroom and began droning on about the goblin rebellion. Now Aria was usually one of the most focused student in the class, and always got the best grades. But today, she was going to be different. She was going to save her fellow students from the boring class. She pulled her wand quietly out of her satchel and quietly but clearly said an incantation under her breath that she learned from Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Verdimillious!

She did a forward slashing wand movement. Instantly, green sparks shot up from her wand! the whole class looked around to see who had shot up the green sparks, but then they looked in another direction as something else had happened!

HISTORY OF MAGIC CLASSROOM
2024-10-??
@Aria Wright
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
| Mamori slouched in his seat, pink hair spilling over his eyes as he half-listened to the Goblin Rebellion lecture. A month into his first year, he had already formed strong opinions about his classes. History of Magic wasn’t exciting, but it beat Potions, which left no room for error. At least here, his imagination could roam.

Idly doodling a goblin with a sword on his parchment, Mamori drifted in thought. The rhythmic scratching of quills was a soothing backdrop—until a sudden green flash jerked him back to reality.

"What the-?" Mamori blinked, trying to clear stars from his vision as a result of that sudden green flash. Instinctively, he leaned back in his chair, creating a bit of distance from the commotion. His eyes darted around the room, taking in the varied reactions of his classmates — some gasped in surprise, others whispered excitedly, and a few even looked ready to join in on the fun.

As the initial surprise faded, Mamori simply found himself watching the scene curiously and with a little bit of amusement. His eyes landed on Aria, who had caused all the ruckus. Aria Wright — textbook Ravenclaw, buried in books, always the first to raise her hand in answer to a question in class. What in Merlin's name had gotten into her today? Did a Bludger hit her on the way to class? Or did she make some kind of bet with a friend? He had to admit, he felt the teeniest bit of admiration for the typically bookish girl's streak of defiance at that moment.

While a part of him was secretly thrilled at the disruption of what he found to be a sort-of-tedious lesson, another part — the part that sounded suspiciously like his mother — urged him to stay out of trouble. He settled back into a comfortable position and was happy just to watch all hell break loose without contributing to it. After all, there was a fine line between harmless fun and making the already undesirable position of History of Magic professor even less appealing, especially with the constant shuffling of instructors in the past year.

I'm fully aware that you're on the lookout for someone to join in on the mischief your character is stirring up in class, but hopefully you won't mind my character hanging around just to watch the fireworks!

Apologize for the godmodding, it wasn't my intention to overstep, and I'll be more mindful in the future :cryhappy:

Sonya was absolutely and unequivocally bored out of her mortal mind. Who in God's name decided History of Magic was a smart idea? The only reason she was there in the first place (And during her Herbology class, which she decided to skip) was she had to make up some assignments for a few classes, including DADA and Transfiguration, and the back of the History of Magic classroom is quiet enough for her to do so.
At least, it was, until a flash of green caught her eye. She looked up and saw green sparks had stolen the attention of the entire class.
Looking around, Sonya saw a first year named Aria Wright, whom Sonya remembered from the Sorting Ceremony, hide her wand.
Not wanting Aria to get caught, and wanting to add to the chaos, Sonya reached into her cloak and grabbed a few dungbombs. She then carefully rolled them across the floor, and they went off on the other side of the room. As the class had its attention diverted that way, Sonya looked in Aria's direction and gave her a thumbs-up. Sonya then returned to her assignment, which just so happened to be about trolls. She wrote about bad-smelling things, then used bad-smelling things to distract people. Ironic, somewhat.

Poppy wasn’t as bored as her classmates. She found history as just story time with tests involved. She hated testing but at least until then she could make her notes funny, while keeping them functional enough. She started to wonder about if her notes would make class more comical. Maybe she could teach one day. Definitely not anytime soon though. She wasn’t ready to be a leader in any way, shape, or form. She just wanted to get through her classes with good grades, and maybe have some friends.

Good grades were enough to make her parents proud, but they would definitely be happier if she got involved with a sport. Probably dueling, Poppy found the idea of getting thrown off a broom that was high up in the sky terrifying. Flying for fun could maybe be fun, but flying and fighting would never be her thing. Even if her mother did so back in the day.

Just as she was afraid she got too distracted, the sparks, and then the foul smell came. It gave her another time to jot down what she missed. She didn’t want to possibly get in trouble, but she was rather happy that something fun started to happen in class.

Elizabeth was starting to doze off when Aria cast a spell followed by Sonya's dungbombs. Then she had a brilliant idea. She would join in on the chaos! After all, chaos was what she sometimes liked and this was definitely one of those times for sure.

Ducking into her bag, she rummaged around her books, quills, and parchment before finally finding her wand. Now, what spell did she want to cause more chaos with? Ah yes, two spells, one for ensured safety.

"Colloportus." She muttered, pointing at the door. Then she looked away and got ready to say her other spell. This was certainly going to be way more fun than she had expected today. And then she had another spell idea.

"Fumos." She murmured even more quietly. It might be a bit more chaotic now that no one knew who they would hit but it would be worth it. Then she pointed behind her and whispered a final spell to finish things off, "Tarantellegra."

This was definitely worth spending her time doing especially if she was bored enough to almost doze off. She would have to thank Aria for starting something interesting other than the boring lecture on whatever had been happening before.

Eirene was trying she really was but all this talk about Goblien rebellion was kind of hard to wrap around her head. She had even bought a brand new set of pens quills and loaded her bag with parchment. The young girl wasn't expecting such a cultural shift when she had entered the school. Who still uses quills in this day and age? In front of her sat a piece of parchment where she furiously scribbled down notes about dates, key figures, and battles yet she couldn't for the life of her remember their importance.

However a flash of green caught her eye, Eirene had dismissed it at first, it seemed like weird occurrences were the norm at this school. Perhaps one of her classmates had accidentally set a spell off, she wanted to save them some embarrassment of being called out by their classmate. But then came a foul spell that caused her to drop her quill down and cover her nose, it made her feel like throwing up her breakfast. How was she supposed to learn in this circus environment?! Suddenly three more spells fired off and Eirene felt like screaming. How long would this chaos continue before an adult stepped in??
