"It's good of you to try, though, Ser De Wynter," Destrian mused with a mischievous look in his eyes. "But know that awareness is the most important thing when it comes to magic. Never be unprepared, my father always told me. That was until his hand was bitten off by a Swedish Short-Snout.." When Marcus told him to come along, he rose and followed him to sit himself next to his new companion. he looked at the other faces sitting at the table, smiling almost nicely. But it was more cocky than actually friendly. Of course, he did wish to get to know more people. He ought to have people around, how else would Slytherin strive with their help. "I agree with all that Marcus says," Destrian noted aloud with the slightest nod of his head. He then continued to look around him, observing the other tables. "It ought to be easy to best them, I think. Most of them seem halfwits. There's a reason we are at this table," he said to the other students, "We are meant to thrive."

Marcus scoffed "Only a small percentage of students we would need to be cautious of in the other houses, like i already told you" he said looking at the previously stated ones in Hufflepuff then to Ravenclaw's table, pretty much ignoring Gryffindor for now "it's like magic itself predetermined us winning with this crop" he says with a soft chuckle and a shrug  "But we shouldn't get overconfident as fate's strings are ever changing" he added then glanced toward Destrian "When do you want to start Heir Dayne?" He asked curiously with a twitch of a smirk on his slightly tanned facd his ruby red eyes staring at Destrian occasional looking to everyone else "I mean obviously we should start with our house but i mean after that" he stated then adding "Leave Gryffindor for last i would say, make them realize that siding with us is the only path to take." he added that with a wicked grin on his slightly tanned face "I would prefer going after the Puffs first but its entirely up to you Heir Dayne...I am just along for the grand ride that is our years at Good Ole Hogwarts' he stated snickering softly at his joke-Good Ole Hogwarts-

He nodded silently as Marcus talked, looking around him without even trying to not look suspicious. He just really wanted to win that cup at the end of all of this. Their house just had to win it. Why else were they divided. It was all about who was the best wizard of witch and which house was to have the highest amount of points. "Indeed, we should start with Slytherin," he said as he turned in his chair to look at their own table again. "There should be a unity, or else we can forget even getting close to becoming a strong house. Afterwards, I think we should get in touch with the smart people of Hufflepuff. I'm sure they'll be easier to manipulate. Besides, wisdom is power. And while we are intelligent, it doesn't make is smart or wise. So we should see that we get in touch with them.

"And I agree to leave Gryffindor for last. They are proudest and bravest of them all, it's said. So let's see how brave they are when there's a strong group of wizards and witches standing before them."

Marcus rolled his eyes "I don't think they would listen to reason Heir Dayne maybe something to show that we aren't to be messed yet..extremely amusing" he whispered then added "Let me test something" he whispered to Destrian once again with a grin, taking his wand out putting it underneath the table and out of sight of the staff, the wand is currently pointed at the claws, mumbling a hair-loss spell with a modifier of an area effect as a silver almost translucent light bursts forth from his wand attempting to hit the claws then he moves on toward the puffs and gryffs in that order with the same spell putting his wand away as he finishes, he covers his mouth to keep from snickering once the spells take full effect on the targets "Give me an alibi" he whispers to Destrian with a sly grin "Iron proof alibi so they won't suspect" he whispered once more then eat some of the food that was out as if minding his own business and making it seem he was truly innocent of what just happened to the other tables, cutting up his food with his knife and fork he begins enjoying his breakfast.

Destrian was a little startled by the sudden burst that came from beneath the table and looked over at the chaos at the other tables. A hair-loss spell. He blinked and looked at Marcus again, eying him closely when he was told to come up with an alibi. "That was a bit extreme now, wasn't it. You ought to be more careful. The professors are sitting just a few meters away from us," he said as he nodded towards the long table with the Head of Houses sitting there as well. With a sigh he took Marcus' wand and hid it in his robe. "You'll get it back when we leave. As long as you have no wand with you, you couldn't have cast the spell, right?"  He grabbed a piece of bread and started eating, trying to forget what had just happened while the chaos still resumed at the other tables.

She just wanted to eat her breakfast in peace. She had a bit of a sweet tooth and it shown on her plate, mostly fruits, some rolled in sugar and some already naturally sweet left in their true state. She did not bother with the baked goods although there was a part of her that wanted a sweet crumbly muffin or a cinnamon roll but during her very short tenure in House Slytherin she had grown somewhat paranoid. The fruit was fine, and there might have also been an equal amount of bacon on her plate. A girl needs to get her protein from somewhere!

Friends were not something that she would or could acquire quickly. Her parents actively prevented from from socializing in her childhood and she never understood why but in all honesty she did not really care either. She did not miss them. She did not want them. That was, until she realized that she did not have them of course. While some Slytherins were cocky and proud, ambitious and cruel... She was different but in many ways the same, the sorting hat was not wrong in its determination. She was not powerful in the terms of magic spells or relationships, her parents seemed keen on avoiding both despite allowing her admission into Hogwarts. The controlled environment, perhaps they reasoned, would allow her to grow in a safe, reliable manner. But that was simply not true, there was something very wrong with this eleven year old and it was her mind. She did not think like a youth. It was not hubris as much as it was envy and avarice that compelled her towards her ambitions. She was weak, at least in terms of magical manipulation, but there was something dangerous about her that was not yet revealed.

There was a new guy. The cocky expression on his face reminded her of Marcus. Oh god, they are reproducing. She thought to herself as he took a seat. The two of them went back and forth, Marcus going on about Slytherin rules. Thoreau put it best when he said, "any fool can make a rule, and any fool will mind it." She sighed as she popped a crunchy strip of bacon into her mouth. "Blindly supporting each other..." why bother, he just does not want anyone embarrassing him when he screws up. Her opinion would have been more pronounced of course had he made this self-indulgent statement after their future altercation, but that would be a debate for later days.

She would turn towards Destrian and extend her hand. "Welcome, I am Erin." They were too busy with their plots of world domination. She would retract her hand and Marcus would make his first great error, expect her to cover for him as he cast a spell. She would scoff, that was why he wanted Slytherin support. No matter, she was not going to intervene on his 'prank.' It would bite him in the ass later. The Slytherin table had already seen his reckless display, the chances of so many kids keeping a secret was almost null.

Accusations would erupt, that someone at the Slytherin table had done this. It was quite obvious, it was not worth it to cast that particular spell onto yourself to deter blame when there were simpler spells that could have been easier to brush off. There was also the fact that the spell had an area of effect, areas of effect had an epicenter. She would plop her head into her hands and let her face mush as she pondered the possibilities.

She could point out that it was Marcus.

There was no benefit in doing this for her besides sullying his reputation and popularity. While she was jealous of him, it was not to the point of foolhardy self-determent.

She could defend him.

No, that would mean defending the 'Prince.'

"New guy," she would announce between bickering. "Hey, you!" She would repeat if he was distracted. She tossed a grape at him, if it hit it would bounce off the side of his head. "Toss something at me," preferably not syrup-covered pancakes. She would purposefully allow it to hit before she threw something else at him. A slice of bacon. The goal was to not mess him (or herself) up for that matter but to get others to react as a stray bit of food hit them or they emulated their behavior. People were simple enough that they would follow suit. The fact that they kept it between themselves, she could very easily explain away. Nothing she threw was messy, they were sharing their plates (poorly). She had no qualms playing the role of a stupid girl that failed to think things through.

Distraction she mouthed to him as she feigned a laugh. "Nothing messy!"

Marcus’ spell had caused quite some chaos. Chaos Destrian hadn’t wished for. Honestly, he realised that pranks weren’t really his thing then. It was childish. And he hadn’t missed the crying girl who ran out of the Great Hall either. All because of some balding spell. It was more harmful than funny, even for Dayne. But he decided not to say too much about it and let whatever happened happen. The other Slytherin boy couldn’t have made it more obvious that the mischievous spell had come from their table, and surely they would get in trouble because of it. Something Destrian didn’t wish for either.

Hey, you!

He turned his head and was greeted by a big green grape. It landed on the side of his head and continued to roll along the table and finally settled between his cup and the toast. Destrian looked utterly confused, and a little offended by the seemingly random action. “W- What..?” It was clear that she wanted him to toss something at her, but he didn’t understand why he had to do that. Was she insane? She threw bacon at him next and he shied away a bit, stil looking utterly confused. But then when she mouther ‘distraction’ and his eyes widened in understanding. So she wasn’t just throwing food at him for the sake of throwing food.

Dayne picked up the slice of toast and tore a piece from it, throwing it back at her. The only ‘mess’ that would come from that were the crumbs. He tore and threw, and tore and threw again until he accidentally hit someone else. It was probably a second year student, but instead of getting angry he just threw something at Destrian again. And slowly more chaos started at the table of Slytherin. The fact that more people were now throwing at him wasn't great for him, but he found himself laughing stupidly.

He picked up the grape which had been thrown at him and tossed it back at Erin, hitting her between the eyes. The grape left a wet mark where it hit her.

The Slytherin's boy reaction made Mary sick to her stomach. He wanted to be a jerk fine, but he could at least take responsibility about his actions. And he was the one talking about maturity?! The black haired girl had nothing against Slytherin House, after all it was her father's house, it was just the boy’s actions that made her mad. She wanted to let go, it was probably not worth it but she knew it was them and probably the boy that answered to her, even if she had no prove. She wanted to get back to her plate and all that made her lost her appetite. She stood up and started to walk towards the door, she noticed someone at the Gryffindors table panicking about having lost some hair. That’s what made her change her mind, and she walked up to the Slytherin table and stoped at the left of the boy.

I have nothing against Slytherin and if you knew me you would know, and yes I have no prove that it was you, but I’m not stupid. Around you nobody seemed surprised about what happened. Now if you’ll excuse me I have better things to do than lose my time with you. But please enjoy your fine meal.”

She stressed the last words quoting them after him. Once she finished her monologue she walked back towards the doors, hoping nothing would happen to her. *Stupid, impulsive ass* was all she could thought about her.

The throwing of food back and forth had come to an end when a girl from Hufflepuff approached their table. Destrian watched her approach Marcus. A brave Hufflepuff student indeed. First year, it seemed. He felt another piece of food bouncing of his shoulder but he didn't pay it any attention. Instead he was staring at the girl who spoke her mind so bravely against Marcus, who was deemed 'dangerous' by other students. When she had done and said what she had to, she turned around and quickly made her way back to the doors from which she had come, quick as not to lose any of her found bravery. Destrian found himself admiring that.

At first he had expected him to hate everyone and everything here, only wanting what was best for him and Marcus, but now he started to feel sorry and regret even supporting a cruel jape such as a balding spell. He licked his lips. His father would hate him for feeling sorry for the other houses, especially Hufflepuff. His father had always hated Hufflepuff the most out of all houses. But here Destrian was starting to feel sorry for all of those tables with students. They all just wanted one thing; becoming a great wizard or witch.

For a moment he looked towards Erin to see if she had something to say, and then turned his head to Marcus to see what his reaction would be. It was only then that he looked at the damage they had done to the other tables. There was some panic among the now bald students, and anger. Most of them would hate their house now, and hate him even more. A great start for the first year of school..

It was childish. It was impulsive. That was part of what it meant to be a child, reckless actions and the misuse of one's excessive energy. Her strip of bacon was thrown aloft, turning end over end in its meaty transit. The cured meat missed the heir by a fair but not egregious breadth and pelted some poor girl in the back of the head. The bacon got stuck in her curly hair and she busted out a laugh at the poor girls expense. She actually did not intend to but it just came out in time for a hunk of toast to sail across the table and land in her mouth.

She coughed on the dry toast. It was better than an over easy egg to the face admittedly. The second bit of duck bait sailed over her shoulder and barely accosted another student. That was the point, to be the harmless genesis of chaos. In the end, nobody would remember the origins. Some would take to arms, meaning cinnamon buns would become cannonballs and grapes a hailstorm of bullets as their small exchange would grow to a battle and then eventually a war.

That was the intention at the very least until a single Hufflepuff approached the table.

“I have nothing against Slytherin and if you knew me you would know, and yes I have no prove that it was you, but I’m not stupid. Around you nobody seemed surprised about what happened. Now if you’ll excuse me I have better things to do than lose my time with you. But please enjoy your fine meal.”

Brave. Foolish also. But brave indeed.

She let out a sigh. She was not a particularly nice person, she hated more people than she tolerated. She found herself perpetually angry with no outlet. She would stand up, an armament of fruit in hand -- she hurled a banana across the room, aiming for some wizard hopeful's back as well as a few grapes she randomly tossed. Yes, she was sewing seeds of chaos as she prepared herself to address the Hufflepuff. "Didn't do it," she claimed simply. "There is nothing funny about going bald and none of you did anything to make me mad," she was not lying but that did not mean that her statement was believable. "But I have cleaned my plate and lost my appetite for more," she added as she bucked beneath a spoonful of scrambled eggs that shot past her and exploded on impact with the table as if a mine had went off.

"And I find myself alone in a room full of people once again," she extended her hand. "Care to join me, Slytherin and Hufflepuff outside?" She would look over at Destrian and mouth time to go. It was not an order but a recommendation. They had planted those seeds of chaos and change and now they were starting to germinate. Between the piles of hair on the ground and the food being wasted as it has become re-purposed as a tool of war she was left with two options, participate in this revelry or use this as a means of escape.
