Interacting with @Mylo Atkins, @Uri Davies as Anichka Volosin, @Lemmy LaRue & @Cass Ito as Acacia Murillo
OOC Note to Cass Ito & Lemmy LaRue: I apologize in advance if I needed to owl for any interaction. I just needed an entrance to come in. No need to actually interact with Colby unless you would like to. It just seemed like perfect timing that your characters came to the wall the same time that Colby was using a wall to "skate".
Colby could not help but the raise her eyebrows at his comment about being too nice. Being too nice meant that more people could take advantage of you; step all over you. Her brother, Darius, although young, was always showing kindness to those around him. And guess what it brought him? Bullies. Children were brutal and it seems that Mylo may learn that the hard way.
Speaking of being nice, Colby could have waited for a response from the international girl, but instead Colby, being a Sigma that she was, began to make way for the ice skating rink. "You can join us when you're ready," she called out to the girl. Now there was a difference between being extremely nice and just independent and not rude. This was the latter. Colby was not going to stand around waiting for others to make a decision. She was just going to go for it.
Mylo seemed to be into her idea and she waved him along with her. His idea to eat before made Colby lift her eyebrows again. It was like he was a mom where he was always worried about safety. "You can eat, but I'm heading to the skating rink," she said. She'll eat afterwards. Now it was up to Mylo to walk after Colby or to go with his own plan to eat before skating.
When Colby got to the skating area, she saw that there were so many skates to choose from. She searched for her size and switched out her shoes for the skates. She had never skated before, so she was excited to have a first time to skate. When she finally stood up on the skates outside of the rink, she felt her knees wobble a little bit. It was one thing to balance on a whole foot, this was balancing on a thin blade. She had to hold onto to something. She held onto the wall of the rink as she made her way to the entrance. She looked at the random people on the rink and saw a range of skills. Some knew what they were doing, while others were holding the wall for dear life. She would most likely be the latter.
Colby, staying with the wall, stepped into the rink. She could feel the slide happening under her feet. She held onto the wall even tighter, hoping not to fall. She was about to take another step against the wall to further her adventure in the rink when she had to stop. A small boy with a big smile on his face had seemed to cut her off as he skated right to the wall in front of her. Colby, not knowing how to take a step back, did not catch her footing and fell right on her tush, feeling the hard, cold ice. "HEY!" she said at the boy, though it was more at the situation.
Colby, using the wall as though it was a life or death situation, pulled herself up. At that moment, another person had made it to the wall who knew of the small human. She rolled her eyes. "Do you guys mind? I'm wall skating," she said, trying to get them to move (which they can obviously do better than her) so she could keep going around the ice rink with the help of the wall.

| Sports! Alyssea was somewhat glad to have a break from it, with how Hogwarts pulled out from the summer games now. It was a bit of a shame that Hufflepuff wouldn't be competing in Broom Racing for a second year in a row but, alas, she knew her racers definitely deserved their break. The spring track had been a rough race with the Cockatrice's fire breath and endless trees. The mention of Quidditch had Alyssea beaming. "I'm the vice-captain of the Hufflepuff broom racers! I also used to do duelling but switched to Quidditch recently. What position do you play? I'm a Chaser. Good luck on your match." Alyssea heard that some of the international schools had strong Quidditch teams but she'd never seen them play to know just how hard-hitting they were. The two headed over to the tree Alyssea pointed at as she smiled for the umpteenth time. As she moved closer to the center and towards them, her movements became more like water; fluid and connected in one big motion. Her legs weren't disconnected from her head anymore. It was these moments when she enjoyed skating the most, when everything felt as easy as breathing. Without a single thought, Alyssea spun backwards and set off into a toe loop. Just a single jump, nothing crazy like a double or triple; she wasn't up to that level yet. To others, the way she skated off after landing the jump may be showing off. On the inside, Alyssea couldn't help the grin crawling onto her face as her chest bloomed with pure joy. Landing jumps was always the highlight of any skating session, however little they may be. It took a few moments to reorient and find Acacia and Lemmy again, but once she did, she headed back to them. "Look at you go, for real! You guys are naturals at this." She was about to say more when another person arrived behind them, arms clinging to the wall desperately as they skated. Alyssea could sympathise with them, though the sudden yell had surprised her. "Right, right, let's keep moving. Meet you guys at the next tree?" She asked Acacia and Lemmy. |

"A Quidditch player!" Lemmy repeated excitedly. "That's fantastic!" The young lad had been a fan of the sport for as long as he could remember and he often attended matches with his family. "I'm from Holyhead, Wales! Homes of the Holyhead Harpies of course! What guts it must take for you to play." As impressed as Lemmy was by the sport he would be lying if he said flying was his cup of tea. Not that he was afraid of it. Though he came in a small package, his spirit was quite large and courageous. Perhaps one day with practice he would become an adequate flyer, but surely nothing like the people out on the pitch. If he was impressed by Acacia's sport of choice, his mouth fell open as Alyssea claimed to be involved with every sport known to wizard-kind!"My goodness! You've played in all of those! That's incredible!" The part-Goblin was so impressed by his new friends. Perhaps one day he would be as accomplished too! "I'm not too sure about Quidditch, but my mother was quite the duelist and I hope to follow in her footsteps once school starts."
They would continue to glide around the ice as the conversation brought up a mutual friend. "You know Ariam too! That's delightful. You must tell them I said hello." This was but a snapshot of what Lemmy hoped the future held for him. A wide network of friends from all over the magical world! However, the topic of mutual friends would have to wait as Alyssea gave them a target and soon enough Acacia would be chasing Lemmy back to the wall. Surely her legs probably reached it before his, but the lad couldn't turn down a bit of competition. Perhaps sharing the same spirit as Acacia. Yet his chance to continue the race was cut off by a nearby shout.
"No, of course I don't mind." Lemmy responded with a chuckle, oblivious to the fact that he had cut off this newcomer. "That's why we're all here, silly." It was an innocent blunder on his part, both cutting her off and his air-headed response, so hopefully this new skater wouldn't mind him too much. The large, toothy smile he flashed to her hopefully helped. Lemmy reached out a weirdly large hand considering his small stature to try and help her up, but she needed no aid. "My name's Lemmy by the way! That's Acacia and that's Alyssea who just did the most fantastic jump if I do say so myself. We are going down to the next tree! You should come!" Lemmy would hold to the wall with one hand, but was much more comfortable as he waited for the others to see if they would join.

The white haired teen smiled at her as she confirmed she was from Hogwarts. "I hear Hogwarts has Houses. What House are you in?" Tone asked, curious. Back at Mahoutokoro they didn't have Houses, they had robe colors, so the idea of them was unfamiliar. If it hadn't been for Red and some of the others, Tone wouldn't have even known about this. But he did and that was great. When Rai paused to try and think about any fun things she'd done it seemed as if she was having trouble. Tone raised a brow, dismayed by this. How could she NOT remember having any fun over the year?! "How is that possible?! If you haven't done anything fun, we have to remedy that this summer now. You HAVE to have some fun and make some good memories here! When else will you make them?" Tone exclaimed with a shake of his head. Rai didn't seem to recognize the names of his friends but that didn't deter him at all. It was a big school, it made sense some people wouldn't know some other people he'd met there. She asked if he'd encountered or stumbled onto anything interesting in the past year too and Tone tilted his head a little. "...normally I'd say yes. But this year wasn't exactly one of my best ones." Tone told her. "I focused too much on getting my robes to change color and didn't pay much attention to my relationships... so... as a result of this, they all suffered and I completely regret what I did..." Tone said with a sigh and made a face. "I'm spending this summer and all of next year trying to make it up to those I neglected, even if some of them don't seem like they want to forgive me. But that's okay, I'm stubborn so I'll get through to them eventually even if it seems hopeless at the time." Tone said with a smile. "But enough about me! I'm not usually doom and gloom, that's never any fun to talk about. We should talk about you! What kind of things do you like to do? What did you do before to have fun?" Tone asked, curious. "You ever play any quidditch?" That was always a good topic to talk about, really fun too. Flying was seriously the best and also induced alot of adrenaline rushes. ——— [ mahoutokoro - year 4 - navy robe - beater ] ( codes by uly. ) | ———————— |

Acacia was starting to get attached to the little goblin boy. He was tiny, short, and very enthusiastic about quidditch which seemed like good qualities to her. So when a slightly less short girl managed to knock herself over and blame it on him, who was perfectly innocent in this situation, she wasn't very happy about it. No need to be so rude to a complete stranger (even though she probably would have said the exact same thing. Perhaps her and the other girl were too alike for her tastes). "Do you mind?" she snapped back "You cant blame him for the fact you can barely skate". Never mind that she probably couldn't skate better than the girl either.
Alyssea talking distracted her from her fuming, and she turned around to face her again. "I play chaser as well!" she said with smile. Now that quidditch had been mentioned, she was completely over her quick rage at the bad skater girl. Not holding grudges was something she had been working on. And it was working! She was barely angry anymore. A few years back she would have just punched Colby in the face rather than snapped at her. "Duelings cool though" she said to Lemmy "A few of my friends duel". She sighed when he welcomed their new intruder to the skating group.
Oh well. At least she wasn't freakishly tall like some of the other first years. She was very thankful she was tall for her age when she saw some of them. "Sure" she said with a sigh "Its not exactly cramped on the rink. Come skate with us". Unable to resist a challenge, she added "If you can even keep up". Alyssea could probably help out with teaching the new girl how to not nearly crash into anyone else.

❂ ⌜ A Summer Camp Tale: Opening Feast ⌟ ❂
❂ July 15, 2024 ▎ --:-- ❂▪ ◚ ◚ ◚ ❂ ◚ ◚ ◚ ▪“Oh, houses… yeah, Hogwarts has those. Four houses. I'm in Gryffindor.” Does Tone know how the whole sorting by house works? That she doesn't know. Maybe his Hogwarts friends already explained how they are sorted by personalities or qualities that are related to one of the houses. To tell the truth, Raizel isn't a fan of the whole sorting thing. Perhaps it's because of some people judging others based on the house or that illogical hatred of some students because you're in a certain house.
She will admit that she sometimes judges a person based on their house, just to get an idea of their personalities but she's not gonna hate someone just because they are in a certain house. Then there are those who throw tantrums just because they didn't get into the house that they wanted like their whole life depended on it (it probably does.). Maybe it's because she is still young that she doesn't understand those. She shrugged those thoughts for now, focusing on Tone. She let out a sheepish chuckle, scratching her cheek lightly.
How indeed does she not remember anything fun that she had done before? “I guess nothing just struck as fun lately.” She answered which isn't a lie. What used to be fun for her had gone stale ever since she had dropped duelling, like all motivation and determination had been drained out of her. Who wouldn't feel the burn out when you keep losing your duels despite how hard you were trying? She had tried her best yet her best wasn't enough. “But I am hoping that this summer will be different. I'm already planning on entering some of the events they have. Not all, just a couple of few that caught my interest. Maybe those will be fun and thrilling.”
At least, that's what she hopes. Again, finding anything fun had been so hard for her. She then went quiet to listen to Tone and boy, it seems like she isn't the only one having a rough time. Broken relationships due to your own neglect. In a way, she could relate. She was too focused on her goals as well, barely having time to even have fun or even hang around with her friends, probably why her friends started disappearing one after another. Maybe that was her own fault for not keeping in touch with them, for being too invested in something. “I sure hope things work out for you in the end. The people you speak of sound very close to you.” Raizel told him.
“I used to duel…” Yeah, duelling was fun during those times, it’s all she ever does. Challenging anyone that she sees even the older students and of course she loses every time but she didn’t mind it. It was giving her experience that she was certain she could use on her official duels but that didn’t happen. In fact, she learned that she was just… bad at it. So she stopped, not wanting to be a burden to her team. “But not anymore. I still practice spells and sometimes practice flying and yeah, I played Quidditch once.” she winced, recalling that first ever Quidditch match she played. “Got hit by a bludger and blatched by our opponents but still won the game and somehow survived till the end. A miracle if you asked me.”▪ ▫ ◙ 560/200 ◙ ▫ ▪

Rai's words about there being four Houses made Tone nod a little. So there were four of them. He hadn't remembered how many there were, only that there were some. "Ah, I see." The nearly fifteen year old said and tried to think about what Gryffindor was. He didn't really know how to tell them apart from eachother. Or was it not easy to do so unless you asked beforehand? "Do you like it?" Tone asked, curious. As Rai spoke about how nothing seemed fun lately, the white haired teen shook his head a little. "Well, that's not good, we've got to make you have some fun before summer is over. But thankfully, summer camp is a great time to have some fun!" Tone said, ever the optimist and nodded when Rai spoke of some events camp was offering.
Apparently, some had managed to catch her interest, and Tone smiled at this. "That's great! Which ones are you thinking of participating in? Maybe I'll see you there too!" He said and nodded when Rai expressed hope that things would eventually work out for him in the end with his currently broken or frayed relationships. "Same. I mean, I guess I'll have to work to get them back. But that's okay, I'm good at persevering and don't ever give up." Tone said with a nod, determined to get them all back eventually one of these days. "You used to duel? That's fun, I've never really tried it out, been too busy with quidditch and all of the clubs I'm in. Not to mention the time spent on lots of homework and studying..."
"How is it?" Tone asked, curious. When Rai said she didn't do it anymore, the white haired beater nodded. From the way she spoke about it, it seemed as if the reason why she'd quit was a sensitive topic and because of this Tone didn't pry into the reason as to why she'd stopped doing it. Then, she spoke of quidditch and told him how she'd taken a bludger and gotten blatched by all her opponents, yet despite this her team had ended up winning the match. "Ah, I can totally relate to that. I remember not being able to hit anyone with my bludger in a previous game and feeling as if I wasn't able to contribute much to the team. As a result, I ended up working really hard to improve my accuracy and I think I did a good job this time..."
"I can't wait for the match this summer. I'll show them all how much I've improved over the year!" Tone said with a bright smile. "If you like flying, maybe I could take you for a ride on my broom sometime! It's always nice to be with a friend." He offered and grinned at her. "Or... we could have a little race or something through the snow." Tone added. There were quite a lot of things they could do together and he would ensure she would at least have some fun when she spent time with him. "You still thinking of going back to your tent after this?" He asked, curious. After all, he didn't want to end up keeping her from taking a rest if that was what she really wanted to do. "We can always meet up and do something later or even tomorrow if you want to rest soon." The white haired teen said with a lil nod.

The response from the small person only made Colby turn her head to the side in confusion. She did not care if he minded or not. It was a figure of speech to let him know that he was being annoying and cut her off. But it seemed to have flown way over his head. Immediately, he began to introduce himself and the people he was with and their intentions on the ice rink.
"That's nice," she said, not caring too much about the other friends that he introduced her to. Out of the individuals introduced, one of them seemed to be really nice. She not only offered for Colby to join them, but even challenged her. Colby loves to take on challenges. Only problem? She needed to know how to ice skate first. She would never be able to make it to the other side if she couldn't even stay on foot without the wall. "All good," she said, rejecting the offer.
It seemed that their next step was to go to some tree on the other side of the ice rink. Colby, slowly getting up from the ground and holding the wall for dear life, would watch them race. She decided that perhaps it was time to call it for the night. Her legs were hurting her to wear the skates. She turned around and using the wall for dear life, she made her way towards the exit. She took off the ice skates, and finally felt her feet relaxed from standing on one thin blade.
Still wearing the outfit from the snowman, Colby made her way towards her tent. She was not returning it to the snowman or the people who put together the wonderland as much as Mylo expected her to. If anything, she knew she was going to need this sometime during camp now that she knew it was winter wonderland themed.

Mylo didn't really understand the way the girl didn't seem to want to take a single bit of advice, he knew that some people didn't like having people tell them their opinions but she seemed very opposed to everything they were saying, even though Mylo was only saying it to because it would be the best course of action.
Not really wanting to ice skating before having had some food Mylo took a deep breath and looked over at Colby. "You go on, I'm going to have something to eat first. It all looks very good and I'm actually quite hungry." Hoping she wouldn't take offence to it he smiled at her, gesturing to the table.
Watching her walk away Mylo went to sit down, looking around the table at the various foods that decorated it carefully choosing what their meal would consist of. Though halfway through their train of thought he remembered the girl who had come up to them and quickly turned around, a bit embarrassed about forgetting and hoping she didn't think of them as rude.
Gesturing to the open spot next to them Mylo invited her to come and sit next to them, as it was the polite thing to do. "Sorry, feel free to come and sit down. Or go to the skating rink if you'd like to! Although I do suggest you have some food before you go, even if it's something small."

Akari's head immediately snapped up, slightly startled, when she heard her name being called. Her eyes searched for the origin of the voice, and when they landed on a familiar face her eyes widened.
It was Drew. The cute American boy who had taken her to the ball all that time ago during her first year at Hogwarts, but sadly following that visit, they had lost contact and had not since reconnected.
He was all grown up now, a lot taller and even more handsome than she remembered. Something pulled innocently at her heartstrings, gently reminding her of how much she had started to like him back then. But while no longer investing in the happenings of her last situationship, though she hated to admit, the outcome of it was still effecting her. Especially, since the girl who she was told was nothing and she making drama out of nothing about, was now dating said boy. Hence, she had no desire to feel feelings again that would only lead to getting hurt, as she so harshly learnt. So, Akari quickly put a stop to and shut down what ever emotions tried to bubble up to the surface after seeing Drew's face.
However, Akari kept eye contact with him, gazing at his sweet grin as she finally nodded her head. "Of course I do, Hi Drew" She replied softly, though a trace of caution was accompanying her tone as she spoke and her body language slightly rigid. "Yes yes, sure" She then replied upon being asked if he would be able to join her using her hand to signal the open space in front of her.
She raised a glass to her lips take a sip of its contents before returning her attention back to the boy in front of her. "So how have you been? It has been quite some time since we have last seen each other no?"
