Mom,
I know I haven't written much this year, and I'm sorry about that, but I'm worried. Dad sent me an owl that got here yesterday that said you were going into labor, and I still haven't heard anything back from you guys. Seriously, why did you send me to a school where phones don't work? Are they a boy or a girl? I know the ultrasound said boy, but man, I want a sister... what's their birthday? And their name? Why do I not know the name of my own sibling, mom?
I guess I have to write other stuff, too, just to make the trip worth it for Evers... Leo's been doing well at Hogwarts. He likes the castle a lot, and my socks even more... I think we're going to have to go shopping when I get back. Oh! Scott's mom said yes on that whole America thing, please tell dad to reassure Mrs. Alexander that Scott will be fine in America- he says that she's been 'fretting', whatever that means.
Have I told you about Alexx yet? Man, she's the best. She's in Slytherin, in my year, and I think she'd remind you of yourself if you ever met her- really smart, really ambitious (she's a prefect, newspaper writer, AND on the quidditch team!), and so, so pretty. I really think you'd like her. She's going to America, too, because I think something happened with her parents... but I didn't want to pry.

Please do not worry so much- they'll bring out the wrinkles in your forehead. Your father and I are both perfectly grown, completely capable adults that can worry enough for ourselves without you adding to it. I'm sure you've burdened your friends with these worries, you could never keep anything to yourself- Scott and Alexx, you said? Well, they sound lovely; once you return from Chicago, I expect you to invite them over at some point in August. Perhaps we could throw a party, of sorts- or maybe just a small gathering, if you prefer.
I suppose you want to know about your brother. Scout Emerson Prudence Procoppio, born on April 13th, 2019 at 10.48 AM, weighed 5.2 pounds (I know how you detest the metric system, darling) and was 17.6 inches. I know, he's a little on the small side... but I expect that you'll be a wonderful older sister to him. Goodness knows that I'll need you to help raise him to the good, strong, and responsible boy he'll grow up to be. As for the magical side of him, well... I think this time around, it would be quite impossible to hide it from him. It's inevitable that he'll know of the wizarding world, what with you going off to Hogwarts for school.
I'm glad that Leo likes it at Hogwarts- I'll admit, I was dubious when you first got the poor cat. He was just so little and scrawny, and I do wish that you had gotten something more sensible instead, like an owl. Then you wouldn't have to keep on borrowing poor Evers... but what's done is done. We don't have time to go shopping before you and Scott go to Chicago, so you'll have to have your father take you, which I'm sure you'll enjoy. If you really need it, I can send you with a debit card for Rosemont- I know you hate it, but I'm sure Scott would like to experience shopping at an outlet mall in the US. London really doesn't have anything quite like it.
And Alexx sounds lovely, dear- I'll have to meet her. I certainly hope that she'll rub off on you, then... I suppose that your joining the newspaper team had something to do with her prompting? Really, you should get more involved with the school, maybe join some clubs, too. Make the most of your time there, darling; you're there for what seems to be a long while, but really, it all flies by incredibly quickly.
I miss you too, darling. Please take care of your robes, they're expensive and I don't want to have to stress about them fitting you right, after what happened last year... Enjoy your last months of school, won't you?
