Dear Cass,
I assure you I wasn't trying to stalk anyone, I was actually at that tree first! I just wanted a nice drawing of the lake from a good spot on the tree. And I certainly have no romantic interest in Prat, I'm not interested in guys, or Alex for that matter, and none of our families have any problems with each other, I barely even have a family it's just me and my dad! They don't know each other at all, trust me. I have no interest in stalking anyone at all, I'm not a creep.

My first year was great, I'm just glad my grades aren't that bad, I was so worried that I would have horrible grades and then get kicked out of Ravenclaw or something. I did have a few awkward moments where I couldn't get into the common room back at the start of the year, I hate riddles.My father never did know much about Hogwarts, he was a Thunderbird at Ilvermorny, we only moved here two years before I started school at Hogwarts. What was your favourite part of Hogwarts? I love watching the sports, Quidditch matches, duels, and broom races, they're all so fun to watch!

I was at camp, in the same tent as Prat, Alex, and Kenzie no less, we were in the star gazer tent. It had a mini treasure hunt game, it was great. I did the water race and the battle of the seasons, I was on team winner but got out annoyingly soon. I did go to the mistletoe spin, Kenzie convinced me to go but we didn't get to dance together. Your one was completely normal? Wow. In my one some girl tried to cast filpendo on Kenzie and I punched her, right on the stomach. I do feel a little bad but she started it by trying to hex someone, Kenzie out of all people, Just for landing under the mistletoe with her. It was a whole drama.

Some time after summer camp ends

Dear Sky-boy,
Not sure if I believe you there. Hiding in trees is very stalkerish behaviour, and that notebook was probably your secret book of notes on Prat! Very stalkery. Maybe you two are secret rivals then, if you aren't in love and your families have nothing to do with it. You should duel at midnight! It would be super dramatic and secret rivaly. Do you want to become a duelist one day? Or are you a quidditch guy? Or broom racing. I hear all three of them are awesome.

I'm not sure you can get kicked out of a house, and I'm sure your a nerd who belongs in ravenclaw deep down. Grades are a super boring thing to worry about. You need to get up to more things if you have time to sit around all day stressing about them. The Ravenclaw common room requires riddles to get into? That must be funny for all the older years to see. But that's us now this year! So you can laugh at all the firsties who get stuck (you should probably help them after you laugh a bit though). My favourite part of Hogwarts was all of it. Classes and things are boring, but otherwise it's awesome!

The stargazer tent sounds fun, what was it like? I was in a cozy cabin tent, and it was amazing. More cabiny than tenty, but still so cool! We even got bunk beds. And what? Your mistletoe spin sounds wild. What did Kenzie do? Surely the mistletoes weren't that bad. I didn't even end up kissing anyone, but I did turn one mistletoe into a matchbox. Why didn't she just Flippendo her mistletoe instead?


It feels like first year went by so fast, and its crazy to think that we wont be the newest at the school anymore this year. We have to tell all the firsties that you have to catch wild pigeons in cages before they let you into a house. It's our duty as new second years!

Dear Cass,
I don't think I can duel at all, though I do go to the duelling club often just to watch, the action there is great! Broom racing is also fun to watch but I'm personally more interested in Quiddich, I want to be a beater. I was even at an unofficial Quiddich match at camp with Prat, he was the seeker and I was a beater, we were on the same team. What about you? Which one do you like the most? And my book isn't even a notebook! I can show you it Sometimes it's just full of the sketches I do at school, there's no words in there.

Of course I will help the first years get into the common room, especially the ones that are bad at riddles like me. Though I can see the appeal of watching it, I wonder what the new first years will be like, how many of them will be trouble makers? What is the Slytherin way of getting into common rooms? Is it just a plain old password? I can't wait for my second year, Hogwarts is so fun.

My tent was nice, the stars were really pretty and Kenzie brought everyone cookies! We slept in sleeping bags that made it easier to watch the stars as we fell asleep. The girl that cast Flipendo didn't do it properly but Kenzie still twisted her ankle, some strange girl from a different school came up and started yelling something about wizards screwing stuff up but Kenzie defended me. It was definitely a weird dance, I didn't even know mistletoes were involved, Kenzie just told me it was a dance, a normal dance. Before that whole thing I did get under a mistletoe, I just kissed the girl I was with on her hand though. We didn't have much apart from all that.

Wild pigeons? I suppose it will be fun to watch the first year attempt that, but who will even believe it? The first years can't be that dumb, at least the one in Ravenclaw shouldn't be.

Of course you can duel! It's not as hard as it looks. Just point your wand, cast a spell and bang other person on fire. And it's all part of the rules! Dueling is awesome. I'm one of Slytherins co-captains so you will have to come and watch my awesome commentary on matches sometime. To tell the truth Broom racing is awesome as well! I got to broom race once at summer camp. It's like dueling on broomsticks! Quidditch is great though. If I could play all three sports I would. Seeker is my favourite position, though I like chaser as well. And yes, you better show me that notebook. I want to see your secret notes on Prat!

Wouldn't you like to know how to get into the Slytherin common room. You aren't coming in here to stalk Prat more! I will be keeping an eye on you this year. Can you believe school starts again in only a few days? It feels both so long and so short of a holiday at once. It's going to be so weird to be back in the dungeons, but older now. I'm taller as well! I'm going to be so tall. I'm going to be taller than you soon sky-boy. You better watch out.

We don't need them to attempt it, just to believe that they are going to have to. It's important! It's part of being a second year. And it's not optional. You are helping me with things this year. And lots of ravenclaws are really as sharp as a marble, don't worry.

Dear Cass,
I suppose duelling can be simplified to just that, but it's still nothing I want to try myself. Though the difference in injury would be interesting to compare, I'm sure burns will be more painful but on the other hand falling from a broom also hurts a lot. In the unofficial quidditch game I was a part of at camp I got knocked out, I got hit by a Bludger and fell off my broom. Quidditch is seriously a great game, I love it despite the pain. Broom racing does seem really fun, to me it isn't as great as Quiddich but it still seems great. I'm surprised you're duelling co-captain, you don't seem like the type. You'll have to tell me about it sometime, what's it like?

I don't want to get into the Slytherin common room to stalk Prat!! I'm just curious, the common rooms are quite interesting, I like the Ravenclaw one a lot. Please stop calling me a stalker for Prat. The holiday does feel weirdly short, I suppose it's cause Summer camp took up a lot of time, it was like a month long! Not being the youngest in the common room is definitely going to feel weird.

Sure, I guess it does sound like a fun time. Do Hogwarts even have wild pigeons? Either way I'm sure it will be a good time.

The day before school starts

Dear Sky-boy,
If you haven't tried it, then you totally should. Find some friends and come challenge me someday! I totally know loads about dueling now. I got to referee one last year between some older years, and it was awesome. They knew so many cool spells! It almost made me want to pay attention in class. Almost. Why didn't you just dodge the bludger? That's some serious mistakes you made there. Just kidding, I'm sure you are really good at doing beater things. Did you at least knock some of the other team off their brooms? And what do you mean I don't really seem like the type? I'm really professional! And responsible! And good at dueling things! I don't really know what its like yet since I only got made co-captain during the hoildays.

I can smell the lies from here sky-boy. I know you are up to something! What's the ravenclaw one like? I'm allowed to ask because I'm not a stalker like you. It does feel like I spent barely any time at home. Oh, and I wont be the shortest one in the common room anymore! I can tower over all the baby first years! That's going to be wonderful. Or I could find some stilts and tower over everyone.

It's not long till school now, so this is probably going to be my last letter to you. I have things to do! I want to try and find my stilts now since writing to you reminded me. Get ready to become short!

A few days after school started

Dear Cass,
Ha maybe I will, will probably have to have Prat or someone there as backup though. I've never refereed anything before, how is it? Must be fun to see the upper years do their stuff with their hard spells. Yeah I did manage to knock a sixth year (I think) off his broom, it took both me and the other beater to do it, but still. I even took a hit from him without falling off, it was probably the best dodge I have ever did, even though I didn't dodge it completely. Sure Cass, good luck on all the duelling co-captain things, I will have to go see you referee a duel sometime.

I feel like since you won't tell me what the Slytherin one is like I shouldn't tell you what the Ravenclaw one is like, it's only fair. I think I'm pretty tall for my age, a lot of the people I see in our year seem to either be my height or shorter. So I won't have to worry about that.

Feel like I haven't seen you much since school started, how's everything going?
