@Erin Ryan @Reid Kovacs
mentioning Hjørdis and Professor Browne

If she were full Veela, Dymphna would be spitting fire and sprouting wings. When Erin’s fist went flying towards Reid, her wand shot up to point in her direction. “Enough!” She bellowed, voice seeming to echo around the ballroom. She knew that Reid could handle himself (he proved it often enough, Whomping Willow anyone?) but was quick to jump to her friends defense, especially in a physical altercation.

For possibly the first time in her life, the Ravenclaw cast a spell without thought, without wondering what the consequences would be of her actions but she was acting on instinct and didn’t care if she were to get into trouble. “Tarantallegra,” which would cause uncontrollable dancing. It was fitting for the ballroom, for the event itself and for Erin whom she’d been enjoying her time with up until these last few minutes.

Whoever the spell would hit (if someone else got in the way), they would have to dance their way straight to the Hospital Wing. Luckily Hjørdis and Professor Browne were there to help with whatever needed to be done next. Detentions given out? Expulsion? Would anything be done about Erin, someone known for causing trouble?

Interactions: Erin Ryan (I am so sorry. Rosie is trying to be intimidating. Don't laugh too hard.)
You know, Rosie probably wouldn't have lunged at first. She was a passive girl, not stepping in unless it was for self defense. She was just trying to enjoy their graduation, though some unfortunate circumstances had now been occuring. And it was very hard to make Rosie angry. Sad was easy, sure, but mad? That was a whole adventure in itself. But something had snapped in her as Erin attempted to sucker punch one of her closest friends. She didn't have a lot of friends, and he was by far the closest.

Sure, he was somehow the boy girls went for the most, and Rosie thought that was kind of gross. And people would think her lunging would be because she liked him, but it wasn't that at all. That was gross. Cooties. Reid was her bro. He would probably do the same for her.

"Hey! Leave them alone!" Rosie shouted, her eyebrows furrowed as she stepped forward towards Erin. Her fists were shaking, but she was about to let them fly. First this poor kid, and now her friend? When did it end? Did bullies have no self control? Around a professor? Oh, shoot. That reminded her. A professor was literally right next to her.

Oh well. She wasn't a prefect anymore.

As much as she had just gone through a dramatic narration in her head of her fighting this angry Slytherin, Rosie was frozen in place. Back home, they fought with their fists, not with their wands, but regardless, Rosie wasn't using either. So, she used her next best thing. Her voice. "Th-They didn't do anything to you!" Rosie stuttered, gesturing to the boys. "Leave them alone!"

Rosie didn't want to be a hero, but this girl was obviously bad news. The professor would probably handle it, but Rosie couldn't keep her mouth shut. It was the thing she did the most, talk. And if her loud comments were what got her punched, punished, whatever, than so be it. She was closer to the situation now, fists clenched near her dress and face ready for a fight. If she wanted to fight anymore of her friends, she'd have to go through HER first.

Which wasn't difficult. Rosie was short. She was a ballet dancer, she didn't carry a lot of muscle on her arms. And she was probably known for one of two things. One, the whole furry incident at the Lock In in her first year, or as a prefect. And she wasn't the most scary prefect, unlike some of her other friends who were prefects at the time. The only other thing some people could use against her was her crush on Serena, which nobody knew, and nobody would EVER know.

Rosie nearly fell back from the sudden spell that went by her. She whirled her head around and saw Dymph! Rosie grinned and stuck up a thumb. Good job! She was probably doing more than she was with her yelling.

Oliver watched in horror as Erin hit Reid. His eyes went wide, completely shocked. He had a soft spot for Reid. He was who Oliver always imagined he'd be. For that reason, he felt it should be him to beat up Reid and overthrow him, not Erin. She had no deep reason like he had. With that, Oliver put his hand to his tie and from within drew out his wand. A genius idea Oliver came up with before the event, using his tie like a sword sheath.
Oliver raised the tie up to Erin and boomed "flippendo!"
His mind ran through the events of the bathroom, his head in the toilet at the hand of Erin. It raced to being hung on the Quidditch poles by older students, then flashed through all the countless times kids were horrible to him in his two years here. All that pain built up into this single moment.
His wand lit up with incredible light, but something was off. Oliver looked down just as the spell was cast. He was holding his wand backwards. The wand was aimed right at his chest. The light smashed him like a lorry, smacking him across the room and crashing through the food table. It was an exceptionally brutal knockback, Oliver was weak and slow physically, but it paid off for his great talent spellcasting.

Oliver groaned in extreme pain, covered in food and dip sauce. The table was in half underneath him and with that, Oliver begun sobbing uncontrollably, having humiliated himself in his rising moment.

Well this was a right shit show that was unfolding while Quinn was frozen in silent aggravation. He won...but not by his own merit. Of course he knew his methods were childish, and reckless but he needed this. Like really needed this, because despite the shitty year he had. Quinn was really trying his hardest to act normal and his usual silly self when he didn't fully feel like his normal staff. Nevermind the fact his bones were aching from all his previous growing and it was really starting to irk him.

All of these thoughts were beside the point because Quinn now whirled around to the scene that was very quickly unraveling before him. Like moths to flame, most of them went running even some of the professors. The flame in this case being Oliver and the Moth's everyone else. Well except for a few which was Professor Jensen who he for the most part found impossible read and then the young Marissa who came over to the food table he was very closely near. She seemed to be crying or starting too.

'One thing at a time Healy . One thing at a time.' He sighed to himself and stood up fully folding his jacket once off his shoulders and placing it on the table. He briskly walked over to the young Hufflepuff. "Aye no need to be so glum broc. If this were ah irish parteh it'd be lively. Sadly it ain't, and we gotta clean it up." He started to grin, it was almost...feral? It came vanished as quickly as it came and he assumed a much softer smile. "Ah sadly only know yah by name Marissa, but ah love what ya did with this place. The words fantastic and amazing don't do it right justice. Nor does the brutal events over yonder either." He pointed in the direction of the pseudo fighting.

"It's up to us to fix this party up right." He chuckled playfully punching her shoulder. "So come on let's try to salvage what's left of this fun party." He gave her 30 seconds before he took his boyish but tall figure over to the more lively portion of the party. He walked over briskly facing away from Marissa his face changing to that of stone. He had a slight frown upon his facade and no smile.

Quinn would never admit it and hated admitting it as well but he had a lot of anger issues. Like a lot, he just hid it well and some of it was biological granted but right no-. "What in the bloody hell!?" He exclaimed right as something small but fast came flying by him. He quickly turned his attention to the loud crash where Marissa was only to see the spark of the whole situation lying half under a table. Did...did that just happen? He wondered before his anger and other thoughts disappeared.

"Well if ye all are done gawking how about we help the sad boyo out huh? Rosie, Alexx could use some help!" He yelled loudly to the others more panic then he wanted in his voice. But he made sure to add weight behind his tone as he turned on his heels and ran to the boy. "Aye ye alright?" He asked his thick irish still coming through. It wasn't too hard for him as took his time to find footing and move the table or what was left of it from underneath him. "An how bout ye Marissa? An what the bloody hell did ya do to make ya self look like this much of an eijit?" He asked. There wasn't any foul intentions behind his words, just genuine curiosity and worry as Quinn knelt down to him.

"An don't worry about that lass over there trying to make ye life worse. If she's got problems with ya she can answer to ar chlé agus ar dheis" He raised both of his clenched fists grinning again. Man Quinn had really become more violently recently. "So ye two? Ye done gawking and sobbin and ready to do something to make this party less of a disaster?" He asked immediately changing subjects. He hated bullies above anything else, in fact the word made his blood boil. But the situation was quickly escalating, the professors were standing around like idiots and he had a possibly injured strange boyo in front of him.

Since when the hell did Quinn become the responsible one?

INTERACTING WITH: Erin, Oliver, Dymphna, Rosie, etc.
It was like the Shot Heard 'Round the World, but a punch. Reid was needless to say, very surprised when Erin retaliated with one mean hook to the face. Her strength caught her off guard and he felt a sharp pain from his nose to his forehead. He was young and his bones were easily broken, especially the cartilage on his face, rightfully, blood dripped from it. But it didn't phase him as he's had his fair share of broken teeth, bruises, and bones - blood was a must for all schoolyard troublemakers.

His younger, younger years was full of it and he felt the same emotion now as he did before. Rage. The Hufflepuff was a quiet one, polite in most regard, but his worse vice was his uncanny fury. It ran redder than Gryffindor colors and thicker than mud. it had an impeccable habit of landing him in worse situations with a blinded vision. "Goddamn -" Pain, of course, brought that easily on anyone, but his white-knuckled fist was already raised as Erin pulled away from him.

It caused him to stumble back a second, both from the pain and the yank. Girl or not, everyone was equal when it came to the schoolyard battlegrounds. Before he had the chance to realize and hear the incantation, Reid had unknowingly blocked Erin from a spell that Dymphna had cast. It hit his back and all of a sudden his feet had begun dancing, it only made him even angrier. "Really!?" he shouted. Who even hit him? He was so close to Erin, it was near impossible not to hit him.

But it was too late, his window had closed, his legs wouldn't even give him the time of day to land a hit on cursed Erin Ryan. The wizard was stuck dancing as his nose bled, which to him was embarrassing enough as is. Not only that, but he also saw Oliver get knocked back by his own spell, he felt for the student. But right now, he couldn't even get his hands steady enough to grab his wand - not like he had a spell to stop this anyway. It seemed that no matter of how much he avoided trouble, trouble always seemed to find him.

"Trouble usually finds me."

{ Interacting with Alexx Séverin, Oliver Hart & Erin Ryan, mentions Dymphna, Reid, Caradoc, Quinn, Rosie etc }
"But...?" Hjørdis encouraged Alexx to continue speaking, curious as to what she was going to say. The young prefect seemed to trail off mid-sentence, which always sparked the Scandinavian's interest. The arm wrestle quickly became a spectator sport. More children came over. A rather small girl [ROSIE] appeared that Hjørdis was unfamiliar with. The girl was a little worried about the the situation, which was rather sweet. She was soon followed by one student that made Hjørdis quirk her eyebrow a little. Kovacs. He smiled at her, which she returned with a very short nod of her head. It was a greeting of sorts. Just not a very friendly one. But they weren't friends, she was simply his teacher and she thought he was not a great student.

Turning back to the arm wrestle as Healy announced the start of it, Hjørdis watched it curiously. She had no doubt that the Professor was stronger than the young badger. He was certainly tall for his age and perhaps rather strong but he was still young. He needed a bit more muscle in the arms. The real curiosity fell onto seeing what her colleague would do in the situation. It was a good test of character. The Irish were proud - she knew that all too well. Backing down from a challenge did not come easy to them. Watching someone challenge the Irish Professor was a good way to learn a bit more about her colleague in a rather short amount of time. His actions would speak louder than his words did. In truth, he had barely said anything in their interaction and she knew very little of him. The arm wrestle told her far more. Her eyebrow quirked slightly, going up and down very quickly as she watched the scene unfold. It seemed the man was deep in contemplation himself - until he threw the match and allowed the young badger to win. Huh... Hjørdis had not made any judgements before this moment and had no idea what to expect.

But she did not have time to react to it. A squeal had already pulled her attention away from the arm wrestle. The source of the sound was found near Dymphna. Far too close to her, for the Slytherin's liking. The young Kovacs was matching towards the group with determination in his steps and a voice that held a lot more power than Hjørdis would have imagined from the boy. At least in front of her, he was rather timid. It was in that moment that his badger instincts seemed to kick in.

Her colleague immediately followed in suit to deal with the situation. Her mood had turned sour far too quickly as she watched the scene unfold. Hjørdis turned her head ever so slightly as she heard the sigh come from the young badger that hadn't rushed to the scene either. One thing at a time... It was solid advice. But she did not like the sense of defeat that seemed to come with it. As though he was almost too used to this.

Children did not follow rules in the slightest. This was the disadvantage to working with them. The rules clearly stated no fighting, with or without magic. Punches were thrown. Spells were fired.

Ryan made the mistake of throwing the first punch. Dymphna made the fight magically, breaking every rule about not using magic outside of the classroom. The boy that had been with them [OLIVER] followed suit. Hjørdis could not help but mentally facepalm when the boy went flying past her and into the food table not too far from where she stood.

"Stop crying," She ordered the young boy who had flipendo-ed himself backwards into a table [OLIVER]. Her voice cold and firm. She was done messing around. Whilst she respected the fact that he stood up for himself, she could not help but think it was his own mistake that led him getting hurt. Crying about it would solve nothing. He had tried but he had also failed. Hjørdis did not bother saying anything else towards him nor did she help him. Healy was already running towards the boy. She had no idea what he was going to say or do but she left it in his hands nonetheless. From their brief encounter, he seemed rather capable and reliable.

With that, Hjørdis was by the group within a matter of moments. Near a Kovacs that appeared to be dancing. She ignored it. Whilst she could have countered the spell easily, she had a feeling that the boy would lunge into another attack if she did. "Ryan." She said loud enough for the girl to hear over the chaos. The Slytherin student who seemed to be the cause of all of this - at least, judging by the first to throw a punch - so Hjørdis ignored everyone else for the time-being and focused on her, "I rather not spend the rest of your school life babysitting you." Erin was a smart girl, Hjørdis had no doubt about that. They both knew that every action was making matters worse.

Hjørdis might have let the situation go without a detention at first, if there was a suitable explanation for it. But the idea of that seemed to be fading quickly. The second this turned into a fight, it sealed the fate of how this would go. And yet, every single action made the detention grow longer for them all, especially Erin. Hjørdis was not a patient woman, by any means. Her tolerance level might be high when it came to herself. But this time there was one fatal mistake: Erin had involved her cousin. And no one hurt her cousin. It would not take a lot more to make one day's detention turn into seven year's of going nowhere without a Professor present.

Did all of these children need to be individually reminded of the school rules? Short of a few, most of them were happy to jump in and get involved in the fight - whether magically or physically. It really frustrated the woman. Her voice was the only hint that she was done messing around. It was firmer than usual. Her stoic face was just cold looking.

“Enough!”

Dymphna shouted. Erin might have even been compliant if it was not for the fact that she one had a plan and two she was in the midst of a scuffle with two boys and if she desisted now she would be on the floor broken and she knew it. This was as much an act of violence and bully-ism as it was self-preservation.

"Would love to..." she grunted with exertion as she attempted to break away from Reid's grip. "Get back to our dance, but I am a bit preoccupied!" Erin announced. Her knuckles sore from hitting Reid in his not-very-soft face.

"Goddamn -"

Reid complained, his fist raised in turn. It was by pure providence that the former Head Boy had involved himself in the scuffle. He being one of the missing and just most recently returned. It was still a mistake, an unplanned incident but it worked in her favor as her plan deviated from one of instinct to something better.

"Hey! Leave them alone!"

Some girl (Rosie Parker) Erin did not even recognize shouted. "It's a two on one!" She pointed out as she tried to pull away from Reid's grip. She was dealing with both Reid and Oliver at this moment, not that Oliver counted as a whole boy, but at least twenty-percent of one. And Reid, well let's say she was surprised he could take a punch. She expected the teen to shatter once her fist met his face, mostly some pretty thing for the girls to fawn over.

"Th-They didn't do anything to you!"

She insisted with a stammer, the assertive authority of a remedial bouncer at a nursing home juice bar. "We're actively fighting!" Erin almost narrated, her voice exasperated. The heck was everyone else seeing here? Oliver was slapping her in the face and pushing her back like a toddler having a tantrum and Reid was about to engage in a game of fisticuffs that he chose to enter. "What fight are you watching!" The contents of her stomach curdled as the moist fingers of a one Oliver Hart pushed at her again. She attempted to knee him again.

"Leave them alone!"

She demanded, Erin scoffed. "Just sit back and watch the show like a normal Hufflepuff." She would try to snatch Oliver's wand away from him as he withdrew his wand from his... tie? With every intention of disarming the boy she leaned forward. She would not have the ability to react to both. She saw Dymphna also draw her wand and point it in Erin's general direction. She met the part-Veela directly in the eyes as if to say that might be the last thing that you ever do girl. Erin was an absolute mad-woman it would seem, willing to take on the whole dance-floor if need be. A bit of an exaggerated reaction to a wee little bump on the dance-floor from an ill-bred, repugnant youth. Perhaps the teenage snake was simply mad, unable to control her emotions and her violence. Alas, wait -- that was the one thing she had utter and complete control of. She chose to act or rather react with violence and to sever the tethers of rage. To perform such pronounced and cliche acts of cruelty.

“Tarantallegra.”

The familiar voice declared, striking Kovacs from the rear.

"Flippendo!"

Oliver announced as she crossed her arms over her own chest, expecting fully to feel the wind knock out of her before she sailed across the room. She was bracing herself to prevent another fracture. Tuck and roll, who cares if you are in a dress. There was no shame in surviving or escaping unscathed.

However, she felt nothing. Not Dymphna's Tarantallegra nor Oliver's Flippendo. She would then notice Oliver slide across the dance floor and crash into the snacks table. Presumably he avoided the other students or they dove out of the way. He only narrowly missed Quinn Healy. A calamitous result as the contents of the table landed on his sweaty, rotund frame.

"Really!?"

The dancing fool complained, his legs spasmed beneath him giving the illusion of dance. His arms likely flailed as he endeavored to remain upright and hold his balance. Erin peered past Reid's shoulder at Dymphna, "thanks Dymphna." Were they allies? Was it a mistake? Was Dymphna totally into Erin? Maybe, but it did not matter. If they were allies, that would be apparent soon enough as there were so many witnesses and gratitude was an expectation often of alliances and friendships. If they were not and that spell was intended for her, she just sent a bull of an irate boy in her direction by placing the blame at her feet.

She could hear Oliver sobbing. Good, the noise would help coupled with the looks of shock and dismay. Rosie and Dymphna's protest. She looked around, breathing heavy. She wiped her potentially bloody hands (from Reid's face) onto her skirt. Professor Jensen was making her way across the dance-floor. She was not dressed for a fight. Too much white. White hair. White dress. Pale skin. She looked like a effigy made of hospital sheets.

With no need to defend herself, unless Rosie was feeling particularly suicidal Erin would raise her hands in mock surrender as she looked Jensen in the eye.

"Ryan," the Slytherin Head of House called out.

"Jensen," Erin echoed.

"I rather not spend the rest of your school life babysitting you."

Jensen scolded.

"But I so enjoy your attention Professor," Erin replied. It was likely that they had spent a great deal of time together. Erin was a unique creature, difficult to engage and even harder at times to endure. She usually kept to herself, calamity often followed when she interfaced with her peers but for the most part Slytherin as an aggregate was safe from her 'reckless tyranny.' Still, it was a regular occurrence to find Erin in a detention or remedial program of sorts. However, this incident was the first one with so many direct witnesses.

Her eyes never diverting from Professor Hjørdis Jensen, she would reach behind her and with the palm of her hand give Reid Kovacs a push with the palm of her hand. "Have I become relevant ma'm?"

Just a trick of the lighting they said...

It was a complete disaster. Why did everyone have to get worse?! Marissa was still sulking in the corner by the snack and drink table, holding back tears as the idiots of the year continued to fight. Now knowing who was who from what she could gather, Erin, Oliver and Reid were having some sort of wrestle. Rosie was trying to stop them, same as Dymphna. The professors were shouting but the fight was not stopping. Why did everyone have to ruin it? Marissa wished for once in the time she had been here, a small event would go smoothly and not end up with people being hurt. But here she was.

Quinn Healy came over. He was once a prefect for Hufflepuff, she could tell it was him from his thick irish accent and how tall he was. Ginger hair. A lot of things were noticeable. Mari wiped a couple tears away as he came over and began to speak words of encouragement and on how well she had done with the party. He seemed nice, a soft smile on his face as he looked down to her. Marissa looked up and smiled lightly as he suggested they go fix the mess of the fight.

Just before Marissa was going to walk over, there was suddenly shouting and a bright light. Before she knew what was happening, Oliver had landed just beside her in the snack table, causing most of the food to fly everywhere. The drinks started to leak onto the floor as the damaged had been done. Reid was now dancing but seemed extremely annoyed. But Marissa was fuming. She did something she thought she would never do. The Hufflepuff picked up some of the messed up food and threw it at Reid, Erin and Oliver in rage. “Get OUT!” Mari shouted, but it was more like a scream. They had ruined her party. She just wanted them gone.

After her small burst of emotions, Marissa ran back to the corner and started to silently cry, facing away from the others. She covered her face in embarrassment as she was prepared to probably get in trouble.

"Very relevant indeed miss Ryan, please join me as I walk you back to your dorms."

The Head of Hufflepuff's voice would be one of disinterest. Another child feeling so confident in a world of chaos. Either she, like many her age, had not the singlest of clues for what was yet to come and it scared her. Or she would feel this gave her power. Something that helped her further in getting there. That special place. Caradoc would snap his fingers and the girl's legs would start to rapidly freeze up. The ice growing up til her neck, til she would be unable to move anymore. A following wave of his wand had the girl floating out of the room in a straight line through the door. "Time for your head to cool down a bit, lass"

He'd turn to the Head of Slytherin and check if she were up for checking up with the remaining students inside the ballroom. A quick nod should have sufficed he felt. Agreement between two colleagues while they both handled different aspects of the issue. Perhaps even keep the party going? Caradoc felt sorry for poor Marissa. Yet it would seem someone else would need his attention tonight.

With a rather annoyed look he made his way through the crowd. Miss Ryan's floating icicle under his watchful eye. Time for some detention it seemed. The professor would seem a bit sad by all that had happened. Why could they just not have fun?

As soon as Oliver heard Hjørdis ordering him to stop crying, his sobbing turned into a quiet, scared whimper. He wanted to be strong but crying came easy to Oliver. He had literal control over it and his feelings were weak. This time however, Oliver had seriously busted his butt over the table. He was struggling to move.

On hearing another voice, Oliver looked up at Quinn, whimpering as he tried to listen with all the background noise interfering. Unfortunately however, he couldn't understand much to a word he was saying. At first he felt he was checking on him, asking if he was okay, that'd be fitting of his house. However, when the red haired Hufflepuff raised his fists, Oliver begun to doubt that. He wasn't sure if Quinn was challenging him to a fight for ruining his friend's party, but from what he comprehended it seemed so.

When the food was thrown at him by Marissa, he instinctively moved his body slightly to catch it in his mouth, chewing happily on the treat. When she begun yelling to get out however, he didn't even think of refusing. He had tried to use a spell on another student in a party and completely destroyed all the food and drinks. He attempted to get up but his legs and back were so bruised that the muscles failed and kicked out. Oliver was forced to perform a slow crawl out of the room, heading out the corridor on a slow journey to his bed. Oliver proceeded to lick the food off his arms as he crawled.

On watching Erin being transported out of the door, Oliver grew a miniscule but cheeky smile. Hardly a victory but enjoying the sight of Erin in trouble. Although she probably enjoyed the attention.

Oliver makes an attempt to leave. He does leave if his crawling isn't intervened.
