You are teleported to the heart of a maze. It is obvious that you as well as your peers have been magically teleported to this space. The air here is full of colors, illusionary butterflies flit past you. You see one fly right through a classmate and then flutter off. The instructions here were simple, find a partner and traverse this maze but beware, errant adventures turn out to be the fool. Yes, it would seem that this is a place for both tricks as well as treats. This year’s maze was fairytale themed, if one would have read the muggle-books, they would find the things here rather... familiar as if they were teleported right into the book itself, a fairytale come true for some. Those that had not read the books would simply find this a normal maze.
As you look around you notice that there are 4 paths that you can take. One to the North, one to the South, one to the East and One to the West. Moss covered flagstones mark the paths of this natural maze. Which way will you pick.

C.) Travel East
D.) Travel West

The usual 200+ word count rule has been reduced to 60+ words. You and your teammate(s) must stick together. If you are unable to make a decision which path to take by the end of this week, either the majority decision wins or a roll will be done to determine your path.

Dammit.
Teleportation--that was certainly annoying. However, it was probably essential to prevent cheating. Still, Koko couldn't resist feeling a little annoyed. She looked at her teammates, Sapphire and Ruby, and then analysed her surroundings. North, East, South, or West. West or South would be appealing to the girl, who wanted to travel into the heat of the storm--storms came from the West, and the heat came from the South.
"I think we should go west." Her voice was full of sudden conviction, even though she hadn't entirely thought her decision through.
The girl was as well-equipped for a magical maze as one could be--she had her wand tucked into her jacket; she also had the knife which she had taken from Kaegen. She had never let go of it, for fear that she might have to use it one day. She wore combat boots, steel-toed ones, and her school uniform under the jacket. A Slytherin scarf was wrapped around her neck. Her hair was tied back into a single plait with a green bow.
The maze reminded her of multiple fairytales which she'd taken the time to read. A little bit of Snow White, and a lot of Alice in Wonderland. "We're all mad here," she breathed in remembrance. Alince in Wonderland was her favourite fairy tale, and Koko couldn't help but hope that she got to meet the Cheshireor the Mad Hatter.
"We should stick together," Koko mused aloud.
Why did she want to go west in such a maze? What if the Queen of Hearts was ready to behead her giong west? She just felt a calling from the west. Perhaps it was the colours, perhaps it was something more, but she wanted to go that way... Oh well. It depended on what the others said.

Teleportation... Brilliant... the white haired girl thought sarcastically. "I think we should go west," her sister said with conviction. Storm central, she thought with an eerie grin.
"Sounds like a plan," she said. Her wild hair was retained by a black headband, and her combat boots could pack a punch. She was ready as she would ever be for the maze that she'd been teleported into.
The caramel haired girl seemed to have zoned out. "We're all mad here," she muttered, which was probably some sort of semiconcious thought. "We should stick together," she added.
Sapphire nodded. "That would be advantageous to our team. Some of the things out here may need more than one of us can offer. Anyways, we should be able to get through this if we work together. I just hope we don't have someone yelling, "Off with their heads!"" She muttered the last part, remembering the fantastical tale of Alice in Wonderland. She loved the story, but it was a bit disconcerting, how much this maze seemed like it.
"Here's a suggestion. Trust nothing and no one that you think could be dangerous besides your teamates, and never lose the group." It was a quick rule, but it would be useful, and useful was exactly what the girls needed...

So they would hopefully go west. It would all depend on what Ruby said. A small smile grew across Koko's face as she pondered her sister bringing up the Queen of Hearts' famous line; that would mean that Sapphire knew more than most other pureblooded children. At least they had taken the time to enjoy a Muggle story.
West... There was a Wicked Witch of the West to contradict all of the stories about villains coming from the north, but Koko knew that her and Sapphire together could take the witch down. A shiver ran down her spine as she realised that she might very well come across threats worse than a green-skinned witch.
"So, we'll go west. Majority rules. Still, Ruby, it depends on you," Koko said.

You and your partner(s) decide to go West. The trail curves to the right slightly before turning abruptly to your left. It continues down and after a minute or two, the relatively narrow path finally leads to a more open space. The cooling air is suddenly replaced by warmth as if you had stepped from a typical spring day into the midst of summer. The scorching rays of the sun glares, how was it summer so soon? This area is enclosed by four limestone brick walls. The ground is very fine sand. The area has a romantic Greek aspect at every corner with beautiful architectures. Right in the middle would stand a tall large willow tree with it’s golden leaves and vines swaying at the softest of winds. Behind this tree, about 5 feet away was a golden gate leading back into the maze.Ruby Reyes has not responded and therefore your team will continue without her. The general 30 stats will be distributed evenly for Sapphire as she had not included them.
However, should you and your partner attempt to proceed, you’d find your feet stuck to the ground, sinking actually. You would notice that the solid sand you were stepping on a few seconds before had liquified into mud somehow. The mud is now at your ankles, soon reaching your calves. “Leaving so soon?” A voice would suddenly ask. Should you look for the source, you’d find that sitting atop the tree, behind a curtain of leaves was a cat like figure that seemed to blend into the shadow. It smiled, baring it’s sharp gleaming white teeth. Who knew cats could smile? “Would you care for a game?” it purred.

"Bloody hell! This mud..."
Yes, they were now stuck in mud. "My leggings..." Koko grumbled angrily, her golden eyes flashing with menace. And to make matters worse, a new voice jumped out of the colourful haze. A voice... But also a wide smile. A wide smile belonging to a cat.
"I knew it!" Koko yelled. "I knew that it would be Alice in Wonderland themed! That's the Cheshire
The animal then asked if the two would care for a game. "Of course," said the Slytherin slyly, and then she listened carefully to the riddle.

What am I? ”
Hmm... Well. It's not a bird. It's not a hippogriff. It could be a dragon... But dragons don't necessarily have beaks, and they don't have much to do with death. Only one more option...
Koko shared a glance with Sapphire, and the two seemed to have a shared moment. Koko smiled with confidence. "My dear cat, I believe that the creature the riddle defines is a Thestral."

A beak and pair of wings I have, neither feathers nor fur I wear, as dark as death itself I am, what am I? Sapphire ran the riddle over in her head a few times, considering what it could be. Dragons don't have feathers or fur, but they're not necesarily dark as death itself... They also don't really have beaks... she thought, running the options over. Hippogriffs have feathers AND fur, and they aren't "dark as death itself", so that's out of the question.
She ran through the creatures she knew that were related to death, and an image of the black, skeleton like horses came to mind. Looking over at her sister, there was a sense of recognition. They'd both come to the same conclusion.
Sapphire let Koko do the talking. "My dear cat," she said calmly, "I believe that the creature the riddle defines is a thestral." The white haired girl nodded and crossed her arms, still sinking in the quicksand/mud nuance. If she wasn't right, they were both at fault...

“Thestral, that is correct.” Said the cat, once again, smiling menacingly. The feet of both sisters would come free. The cat would add, “enjoy the makeover.” Before disappearing into the shadows. If Koko and Sapphire were to look down, they would find themselves in two different outfits. Kiko would be dresses in a lacy blue dress while Sapphire, a pink one. However, Koko would feel the most uncomfortable shoe wear on her feet. Hard and solid, were a pair of glass slipers. Any attempts in taking it off would be futile.

They had done it. That much was pleasing to Koko, but they could always do more. It hadn't been that hard to guess Thestral... It had only taken some critical thinking.
All of her thoughts came to a screeching halt when the cat said the word makeover.
Koko had no mirror, but the least she could do was glance down. And glance down she did, and when she did so, she saw a blue dress that had lacy hems. "What the..." She glanced down further and saw shoes. But not like her combat boots, which she thankfully hadn't put her knife in. Otherwise her foot would be cut open, because she was wearing the most tight - and beautiful - slippers known to mankind. They seemed to be... Either crystal or glass...
Koko tapped her heel on the ground and heard a dinking noise. Yep, glass. Ouch. These would kill her feet. Koko bent down to try and tug them off of her feet, but then she realised that they were actually stuck. Well shit. Koko's poor little soles would die in great agony and suffering. She couldn't believe it. "Sapphire, I think they're stuck," Koko said hesitantly. This sucked.
