I frowned at the walls of my dorm room, wondering why I was still at school. I didn't trust nor like magic, and I didn't have any friends here. So really, I didn't have any reason to stay besides being magic. And apparently that was good enough for my parents. I missed my friends in New York, and I didn't want to leave them again. Sending them letters would look weird, and I couldn't use my phone to text them. So it was like I was ghosting them. Lovely.

I sighed and got up off my bed, deciding to go outside and get out of the Thunderbird walls. Who knows, maybe I'll meet someone there. As long as it isn't Basil, I think I'll be fine, but I don't exactly want to test that. So I was cautious as I walked outside, getting ready to run at the first chance of Basil. But luckily I didn't see him and could enjoy the fresh air in peace.

I looked around and breathed in the scent of trees and grass. It was much better than the stuffy walls of my bedroom, and my head was feeling slightly clearer. But my mood hadn't completely lifted. I was still annoyed about my parents sending me to Ilvermorny again, and the annoyance of wizarding summer camp was still fresh in my mind.

During break, I would have to apologize to my friends about not seeing them over the summer, or contacting them for the past two years. I had to hope it would work. Maybe I would send them a letter after all. I laughed aloud at the thought of sending my non magic friends an owl, and got some strange looks from other students. I stopped laughing quickly, and instead sighed sadly. The year was off to its normal lonely start. Great.

I don't break the rules, I expand them for my need.
