In her own little corner of Brighton and Hove, Parker Anita Jacqueline Loveless grew up being known as the prissy blonde girl who never wanted to play. Well, it wasn’t her fault. No one in her dumb muggle neighborhood was ever worthy enough to even talk to!
Her father, Jason Loveless, was a halfblood wizard particularly known for his wild, brash personality during his Hogwarts days. He was the open, accepting type and never discriminated against others for their blood type. On the other hand, her mother, Louise Loveless (née Bellamy-Fairclough), was a cold, elegant pureblood witch whose family had grown so small and insignificant that they were forced to give up their purist sentiments and allow the woman to marry Jason, lest the bloodline completely disappear. Despite having married a halfblood, Louise still carried a negative attitude toward muggles and muggleborns, and it was from her that Parker began fostering the same ideals.
Parker’s surname may have been Loveless, but that didn’t make her any less lovely. Louise prided in having a daughter who she claimed inherited the refined Bellamy-Fairclough features—namely her sharp blue eyes, straight nose, and pointed chin. Everything else was Jason, though, from her numerous freckles, to her nimble fingers, and to her dirty blonde hair.
Although Louise wanted to live in her—frankly dilapidated—family mansion out in the English country, Jason wanted to return to his hometown of Hove. There, they would eventually own a spacious beach house that soon welcomed Parker and her two younger sisters, Casper and Spencer. The Loveless family weren’t particularly close, but they weren’t particularly distant either. They danced around each other within the house, never discussing awkward or controversial subjects and partaking in constant small talk until the lights went out.
This was quite alright for Parker. Her younger sisters were annoying, her father was uncouth, and her mother was overbearing. She liked to keep to herself, watching others from afar while keeping mental tabs on anyone who could possibly be worthwhile. By the time she was eleven-years-old, Parker sprouted into a vain, strait-laced girl who rarely talked to anyone her age.
(Of course, that didn’t mean that she wasn’t lonely. It was Parker’s fault that she found herself unsatisfied with any social interaction she managed to have.)
Her Hogwarts letter arrived fully expected and without surprise. After all, Parker started showing magic when she was only two, having manipulated her already long hair to float lazily in the air, as if she were deep underwater. She only hoped that she would find someone—or, even better, someones—who a girl as great as Parker Anita Jacqueline Loveless could finally associate with.
