Alia sat at the most isolated part of the library, her A History of Magic copy opened and she was studying for the class she enjoyed most out of the ones she'd attended yesterday. She was flipping through the chapters, reading the footnotes, examining the moving photos. Getting bored and frustrated from the lack of events and terms that felt familiar in the text. She put the Ribbon Marker in the chapter titled "The Witch-hunt," and walked over to the stories and fiction shelf, wanting her imagination to get a glimpse at the magic. Her history textbook still in hand, she ran her fingers through the sides of books. Examining the shelves up and down in order to find something interesting to enjoy. After a few moments she caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a completely out-of-place book. She read what she could see from the moderately thin spine of the book. The Adventures of Martin Miggs, the Mad Muggle. That can't be right. Her dad was obsessed with that series. It was pretty much his childhood. She laughed to herself when she thought of telling her dad that his favorite childhood author might have been a wizard. She reached for the book, stretching out to her full body length. It was just out of her reach. There were a few other students in the library with her. She could ask somebody- "That's not necessary," she thought to herself. She carefully set the book in her hands down onto the floor, and grabbed the legs of a nearby ladder as quietly as she could. She set up the ladder to the left of the comic and began wishing she had studied some spell from her book of spells that could have helped her out here. She was just high enough to grab the book, which seemed to be the second edition in the six-book series. She leaned over and her hand just missed the book. Then it went lower, then what felt like winds from the west blowing her face came rushing. This all happened in a matter of half a second before she realized she was literally falling with the ladder. With a loud crash and boom from the echo, she hit the floor hard. Luckily she wasn't too far up, but it hurt. "Shi-" Her head spun when she realized many people were staring and getting closer in an attempt to help her up. "-oot."
