This school did not suit Clément. Not at all. From its white, glimmering towers, to its magnificent french gardens, and then its fountains- all of this gave Clément the impression of being in a fairy tale. In contrast to the school he attended, Clément appeared to be a perfectly normal boy, if not always carrying a sad and a bit annoyed look on his face.
That was, if he wasn't playing cello. Cello was the only thing that lightened up the poor little boy. It was more, much much more than just an instrument made out of wood and strings to him. It was what made him smile, it was what gave him joy. And more than anything else, it was what attached him to his father.
He had therefore insisted that he brought his cello to school. No matter if the teachers disapproved, as long as they didn't take it away from him, he'd always have it with him.
One afternoon, he was strolling through the long, magnificently adorned castle corridors, head in the clouds as usual, when he suddenly bumped into a human body.
"Pardon Sorry." he muttered without looking.

@Elisa WagnerSo far, Beauxbatons had been wonderful for Élodie. Sure, she hadn't talked with a bunch of people yet, but just the atmosphere and the vibe and the academics were perfect. She was finally getting more of the freedom in her life that she'd always wanted, and she was making sure to savor the moments she had, afraid that her parents would come to rip it away.
After her classes had ended for the day, Élodie found herself making her way to the gardens, just like yesterday... and the day before that... and the day before that. Élodie figured that she had managed to find a place at the school where she felt most at peace. It made sense that she'd want to spend loads of time there.
Élodie wove her way carefully and gracefully through the corridor, making sure to not bump into anyone, reaching a hand up to fix a strand of hair that had fallen out of her half-up-half-down hairstyle. Apparently, she wasn't as careful as she thought she was, feeling a shoulder bump into hers and a quiet 'Pardon'.
Élodie immediately apologized, starting in French. "Oh I'm sorry!" she said before switching to English, "That might've been my fault there." She spoke softly, her voice sweet and elegant. She took a moment to observe the boy. His hair was brown and looking a little messy, distant-looking copper eyes, and was around average height. Élodie notices he looked quite sad.
"Hey, are you alright?" she asked after observing him, her eyebrows furrowing, slightly concerned for the boy.Lovely Creature in Effect

He was already walking away, ignoring the person's apology, when, for whatever reason unknown to Clément, the person asked, "Are you alright?" in a surprisingly soft and caring voice.
Clément looked over from his shoulder. He could understand English alright, due to his past trips with his father out of the country, although he couldn't speak it. The girl, for it was indeed a girl he had bumped into, was asking about him. Nobody ever asked about him- well, if you don't count his mother.
"Quoi?What?" Clément asked emotionlessly, looking straight into the girl's eyes. Speaking of which- the girl was really pretty.
Clément nudged himself, Je vais pas rester ici, debout, toute la journée, quand même! I'm not going stand here all day, am I?, he thought a bit impatiently to himself. But he couldn't seem to draw his eyes away from her. There was an invisible force drawing the boy to her. It was strange, really strange. It was something Clément never experienced before, an odd feeling.
The first thing he thought of was a kind of curse. A curse that would make someone want to stare at you. Et- et... te trouver jolie And- and... find you good looking, Clément added in his head.
With an extraordinary gush of determination, Clément turned away his head. But his feet couldn't seem to move.

@Elisa Wagner as Clément CantegrelÉlodie cocked her head to the side as the boy answered her emotionlessly. She thought momentarily as he seemed to stare, her silence meeting his own as he looked over his shoulder. Eventually, the boy broke eye contact and turned away, but his feet were not moving.
Élodie furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "D'accord, quelque chose ne va pas." Okay, something is wrong. she thought. Taking another moment to figure out what she should do, Élodie took a deep breath and walked towards the boy, tapping him on the shoulder and speaking again, this time in French.
"Je t'ai demandé si tu allais bien... si tu ne l'avais pas compris avant." I asked you if you were okay... if you hadn't figured that out before. She asked softly, hoping her words didn't come off as too terribly rude as she observed the boy's reserved and somber body language. Taking a closer look, it was a wonder that no one else in the school had seemed to realize that something just wasn't quite right and that something bigger was happening in his life. She wondered if anyone who knew the boy had bothered to check in on him. She waited for his response with a certain kindness in her eyes, pushing a strand of her hair back over her shoulder.Lovely Creature in Effect
