Gryffindor Scavenger Hunt
Reaching up into the chandelier, Raine managed to pick up a random feather. Eyeing it carefully, she realized that it was a peacock feather! These things were really expensive...at least for a first year to own. Smiling to herself, Raine tried to concentrate and let herself float back to the ground...but the only thing that happened was her floating a little higher. Raising an eyebrow at the spell doing the opposite of what she asked of it, the girl finally realized that she would only continue to float while the spell was active and she was concentrating on it. Looking down at the floor briefly, she gauged the distance between where she was at and the floor.
Shaking her head, she realized that she wasn't doing what her brain was suggesting she do. She was reckless and fearless, not stupid. But she didn't need to worry too much about getting down since all of a sudden her spell was canceled and she was slowly falling back down to the ground. A slight panic filled Raine at the sudden lowering of her body, but as she looked around she saw her Prefect, Aurelia with her wand out and pointed at her.
'She must have canceled my spell. Thank you, you perfect Prefect!' Raine thought happily. The girl continued to float down until she finally landed in the older girl's arms bridal style and Raine breathed out a sigh of relief before smiling cheekily up at her Prefect. "Thank you! I'm sure if you didn't help me I would have broken a few bones coming down."
After being set on her feet, Raine thanked the girl again before scampering off to search somewhere else. She wasn't sure where else she should look. Everything was most likely gone. The only other place she could think to look, and it was probably empty, was the room connected to the Great Hall that was only accessible to the teachers. But surely something would be there, right? The whole of the Great Hall was at their disposal wasn't it? Raine started to move over in that direction, only to trip near the Hufflepuff table.
Wincing at the pain in her knees, Raine groaned as she looked under the table. Nothing was in plain sight, as she suspected, but instead of risking getting in trouble going to the room meant only for staff, Raine would reach under the Hufflepuff table and feel on the flat underside of the table. If she didn't find anything, there was no love lost as she already had a pretty nice quill she could use.

Gryffindor Scavenger Hunt
[quote]At this point, Marla just wanted to go back to her dorm and jump into bed. However, she had gained a little hope after actually finding something other than day-old scraps under a cushion. Gross. It was a... A board game of sorts? Apparently gobstones, according to the packaging. She didn't really know what they were, but they seemed pretty cool. Between acquiring the game and the broom? So far the scavenger hunt was truly a success.
But maybe not so much for a nearby girl, who had fallen down from where she attempted to grasp something. Thankfully, she was caught by... Aurelia. Okay, good thing that the poor girl was saved, but Marla wasn't exactly a fan of the prefect. She had caught her and Kyle during their act of rebellion and ordered the two to detention. Well, the prefect was just doing her job... Didn't mean that Marla couldn't hold a grudge.
Never mind that, there was one more round and the redhead needed to act fast before everything good was taken... She panicked, glancing around the room and finally set her eyes on a robe laying on the floor. An unlikely spot for something to be hidden, but it was worth a shot. So she hastily walked over, throwing the robe off of the spot on the floor, Marla swore she could have seen something under there... And hopefully she was right.

Thank you all for participating this event! Gifts will be given out soon. For those who haven’t found anything, do not fret, there are consolidation prizes: 80 Chocolate Frogs for those who have participated in all 4 Rounds, 50 Frogs for 3 Rounds, 30 for 2 Rounds and 15 for 1 Round!
After saving the girl from falling to her death, Aurelia had waited for exactly 10 more minutes before announcing, “That is enough of searching. I believe most of the gifts have already been found.” The girl eyed those with more spectacular gifts, the brooms. She remembered hiding three brooms, and all of them had been found. “There are some chocolate frogs in the wagon over there.” she pointed to the wooden cart across the room. The chocolate frogs were intended as prizes and Aurelia was supposed to hide them along with the rest of the gifts. However, Aurelia had an odd fear of the confectionery and never was she going to even touch one. She hoped Sorrel would understand why she hadn’t hid them. “Take as many as you wish. After that, please follow me to the ballroom.” She said and turned on her heel, starting towards the exit of the Great Hall.

Meenauh groped nothing in the helmet and closed the visor.
If one would start researching the concept of luck, read through different scientific explanations of the phenomenon, it'll all end up the same way: 'It cannot be harnessed.' Luck is the aggregation of the unknown factors, which sort themselves out in different ways at a certain point of time, a certain place and for every individual. Everyone has to take their best guesses and hope because those variables are truly random if they stay unknown to each of the individuals. One person is not luckier than the other. It is just about remembering the times the sequence of events turned into one's favour and comparing to other times when it didn't. So the unknown variables will always stay random and thus, unharnessed. For muggles.
What would have happened if everyone in the hall would have drunk the Felix potion? How would the hunt go? How differently would the reality be forged by reducing the unknown variables and cheating on random events, avoiding failures? Meenauh still had that question as one of the multiple questions, saved for research in future.
And then the prefect Aurelia announced the ending of the hunt and asked to follow her into the ballroom. Ball? Again? What? Meenauh looked at her school robes that she didn't have time to change. Then she tried to remember which dresses were packed in her trunk, waiting for the proper occasion and rushed to the dorms to change.
