Lucretcia sat in her tent looking at the starry sky that lay overhead. It was calming and peaceful being night time all the time while in the tent but she knew she couldn't stay here the entire time or she would probably get nagged at by someone about it. Or worse they would let her mother know and then SHE would nag her about it. She put on a plain black long sleeve shirt and black jeans with a studded belt. She then laced up her knee length boots and slid on her long jacket, finishing things off with slinging her messenger bag over her shoulder. She looked in the mirror and using a simple charm her mother taught her did her make up, black eye liner and dark maroon lipstick. She nodded to herself and made her way out of her tent.

She looked up at the sky, shielding her eyes from the sun with her hand she grimaced. As much as she loved the snow it somehow managed to make the sun even brighter it seemed like. She flipped up the hood of her jacket and looked around. There were groups of people running around, chatting, laughing, going this way and that. She rolled her eyes at all the commotion and made her way away to try and find somewhere quiet.

She wandered over by the stands and found a bench to sit on and she look up towards the goals of the pitch. She had seen a few games but the sport had never really caught her. The way some of them flew, the robes billowing she couldnt help but admire it but it just wasnt for her. As she thought about it inspiration hit and she dug inside her bag and pulled out her notebook.

She grabbed a sketching pencil and began to make a few rough lines, looking up and visualizing players flying around as she looked back at her book and making more lines or adjustments as the world around her faded into the background.

Cass Ito was bored once again. Generally it wasn't good for anyone involved when this happened, due to their strange idea of what was entertaining. It tended to involve detention afterwards, for one. After sitting around in their tent for hours (about five minutes) with nothing happening at all, they had decided to wander the campsite and look for something, anything to do. Despite being surrounded by sights that would amaze any muggleborn, they were still bored. Kicking a rock as they went, they wandered down the path between the tents. They really needed to visit a friend and see the insides of some of these, because that was an actual igloo.

Feet having chosen the path for them, they found themself at the edge of the stadium. The stands were massive and mostly empty, apart from a dark haired girl drawing on a nearby bench. In Cass's experience, artists were generally very cool (even if some of them did have a weird habit of stalking people from trees). If asked to draw something, they would probably produce a comically bad sketch simply for the laughs. Truth be told they were perfectly capable of sketching say a recognisable picture of a house but it was another one of those little things that they refused to do. Behave and concentrate for one. Plonking themself down on the bench beside her unannounced, they attempted to peek over her shoulder at the notebook. "Whatcha drawing?" they asked.

Artist girl looked kind of pissed at the world, and Cass was like 90% sure she wouldn't be overjoyed to be bothered. No matter, they were going to bother her anyway. She looked like she needed to enjoy something, and Cass was a master at cheering people up (or at the very least distracting them with a more immediate, more dangerous problem). They wondered what school she was from- perhaps a new firstie? If she was lucky, she would get spared from attending Hogwarts. According to their stepmother, the other schools (or buexbatons at least) generally had less instances of stabbing and quite the ah... reputation Hogwarts had for strange events.

Lucretcia was working on adding some detail to the fliers in her drawing, action scenes were always more difficult to do. Especially with the flowing of robes and the movement of hair. Shading and shaping were taking the majority of her time on this particular project she had given herself and she was so consumed by it that she didn't notice the approach of the other kid until they plopped down next to her with far too much familiarity for Lucretcia's liking. She turned a withering gaze towards the kid with a slight frown. What was with the kids at this camp and just inviting themselves into other people's company. Is this how normal people acted? or did she just keep attracting the attention of weird extroverts. Maybe she had a note stuck to her back inviting people to bother her.

With a sigh she lowered her notepad so the new kidd could get a better look at the quidditch game she was drawing, with no discernable markings on anyone to denote what teams they may be a part of. "Quidditch match...seemed appropriate given the...well" she gestured to the pitch they were sitting at as she looked back towards the kid. they was probably only a year or so older than her. Which school did they go to? Impossible to tell.

Lucretcia moved some of her hair behind her ear in an idle fidget before rubbing the back of her neck. "did you uh...need something? am I in the way of an activity thats about to start?"

Artist girl was certainly good at death stares. Sadly for her, Cass had no plans to leave anytime soon. She clearly needed to cheer up, though they were still undecided on the best way to accomplish this. No matter, they would find out soon. People were a puzzle much more interesting than any stupid math or riddle. It was interesting that she was drawing a quidditch match though. Perhaps she was a fan? It wasn't a bad sport actually. The gears in their brain turned, trying to puzzle out what position artist girl would play. She looked far too small and skinny to be a beater, so that was out. Maybe a seeker? It would be strange to see her on a sports field though. She looked far too unenthusiastic for such things.

"Quidditch is fun! You play?" they said to her "I like the way you draw broomsticks, they look really alive". Compliments were a game, all wrapped up in nice smiles. Some people were strangely averse to being told they did good at something, and others wanted to be told they were good at a specific something. Artists generally got told something was "nice" a lot, and appreciated specific compliments and feedback. It seemed like a safe bet to go with. "And nope, you aren't in the way of anything. Yet" they replied. They weren't dumb- it was clearly a "why are you here go away", just a very polite one. Unfortunately for everyone involved, "go away" didn't work on Cass. They were staying till this girl cheered up, even just a little bit.

Speaking of their mission, artist girl was only getting more annoyed sitting around. What was a thing that artists did that wasn't boring? Seeing as she had mentioned quidditch, their first idea was to drag her into a game. What if she didn't have a broom though? While it would be possible to borrow one for her, it would take time. Enough time that she would probably walk off and have second thoughts. So quidditch was out, unless they wanted to just use one broom. Which would be awkward if she already knew how to fly. Perhaps they were thinking along the wrong lines... She wasn't drawing quidditch. She was drawing the stadium.

They jumped up off the bench, reaching a hand out for the girl to pull herself up with if she needed to. She seemed like the type to completely ignore it and stand up on her own, but it was the principle of the thing. "Come on artist girl" they said "I just had the best idea ever". They made sure not to phrase it like a question. Artist girl could not be allowed to slither away when the time was ripe for adventure! "We are going to the skies!" they pointed towards the top of the stands. "So you can draw the stadium from a different angle or whatever. But mostly for fun!" they said.

Lucretcia looked back down at her notepad and at her drawing. She had put so much worry into making the robes look good she hadn't been stressing over the brooms. She tilted her head a bit, they werent bad. she nodded

"Thanks, I don't draw things like this often...and no I dont really care for Quidditch. I just...I dunno...Draw?"

She wasn't sure why the other Camper was still lingering around, and seemed overly interested in her. Did they want something? was this part of some elaborate game or...hold on kids prank each other sometimes at camps don't they? find someone different to pick on and then do...something?

As if expecting an ambush She would give a quick glance around, not really seeing anyone else other than her and this new person when they spoke up again, excited and pointing to the top of the stands. her gut instinct was to roll her eyes and tell them to shove off but damn it all if they didn't have a good point. The higher vantage point would give a better angle to see the stands from, and she didn't have alot of experience or knowledge of these so it would ultimately help her drawing to get to see them from the higher angle.

She tapped her notebook a few times with her pencil before she finally offered a shrug to noone really. If whoever this was tried anything funny She had strong enough nails to do damage and worst case scenario what were the chances this kid would keep their composure against extended vampire fangs. She started to stuff her things into her messenger bag before getting to her feet, ignoring the extended hand and slinging her bag over her shoulder.

"Not a terrible idea...Lead the way I guess." after a moments hesitation her eyes shot to the side, if there was trouble she should know the campers name just in case. sliding her hands into her pockets she looked over

"Lucretcia...and you are?" her tone still cold but more distant than hostile

Drawing, though not an activity Cass commonly participated in was one that Cass could acknowledge was at least interesting. It wasn't like reading or whatever boring things that many Hogwarts students seemed to "enjoy" (Perhaps brainwashing was a suspect here?). It of course was not as exciting as quidditch or any other sport, but she could certainly have worse hobbies. They followed the girls gaze around the stadium. Was she waiting for someone to come rescue her from Cass's cruel enforced fun? They smiled again, trying to make sure she wasn't genuinely worried about Cass dragging her up the stands to push her off or something.

They would certainly never do such a thing. The chaos they made always had good (perhaps not for the ones who had to clean it up) intentions. "Thank you, thank you! I knew it was a great idea" they said with a dramatic showmans bow. "Im Cass. Cass Ito" they looked back over their shoulder with a grin on the first step. Artist girls actual name was a very long one that would require nicknaming. The obvious choices were probably Lucy or Lu or Cia or something. If someone didn't introduce themselves by their nickname, they tended to just find one based on their behaviour. The perfect nickname would reveal itself in time.

After making sure Lucretcia was following them, they began the walk up the steps of the stands. It might take a little bit longer than they had expected to reach the top of a stadium made to seat thousands, but they weren't worried. If they ended up reaching it then not having time to get back before curfew, it would just be more of an adventure.

Lucretcia adjusted her messenger bag as the pair of them started to walk towards the stands. Cass could be short for a few different things. Cassandra? Cassidy? Cassius? Cassidea maybe? were they Celtic? Lucretcia should be better sussing things like that out, but her general misanthropy and distance from people made it difficult to figure them out. Whoever they were behind the bravado and confidence was anyone's guess, Lucretcia couldn't help but think the over the top display was a show but she could very well be projecting her own insecurities into assuming everyone had them and tried to hide them.

The pair of them had started to climb the long stairs to the top of the stands and either because of her Dhampir blood or maybe just being in decent shape she was able to take the growing physical strain from climbing so many stairs in pretty good stride, at the very least despite her slim body time and pale skin she was seemingly better with physical exertion than she would appear at first glance.

Lucretcia was glad in this moment that she wasn't sweating as she thought about how gross her face would get if she started sweating off her makeup, add on how long it may be sitting there it would undoubtedly turn into acne soup on her face and she didnt know any spells to help with that. Perhaps she was wearing too much makeup? no thats crazy talk, push thoughts like that away.

it was around this time she realized how deep she had been in her own head the entire time they were climbing the stairs and she looked over at Cass. The other camper looked around their age, maybe a year or so older? She cleared her throat trying to break the silence and not seem like a total git.

"I am starting Hogwarts soon...which school do you go to?" While not the most exciting conversation topic, at the very least she knew it would be a place of common ground, it was unlikely Cass shared her interest so better to go in this direction.

Cass was very happy with how quickly artist girl had agreed with their idea. Normally all the brooding goth people took a bit more convincing. This was going to be amazing, because clearly the top of the stands were the place to be. Even if they were a bit of a walk to get to. She wasn't keeping up that badly either, which was good for a person whose hobbies seemed to be sitting around looking into the distance and then putting that distance down on a piece of paper. Impressive, but certainly not athletic. The stairs however were perfect and terrible exercise for any nerds who felt like not being noodles anymore.

"I'm a Hogwarts student as well!" they said to her while practically bouncing up the steps "A second year Slytherin". Perhaps artist girl would be joining them in the dungeons, but she seemed more like the nerd type. Though people had a tendency to surprise you with houses. "What house do you think you are going to be in?" they asked "Slytherin is the best house without question, but hufflepuff is pretty cool as well". House rivalry wasn't normally something they were big on, but it went out without saying that theirs was the best. Were they a bit bias? Probably. But were they right? Beyond question.

They kept the stream of questions and banter as they walked up the stairs, in an attempt to make the whole walking up a slope in a straight line less boring. They had a feeling that she wouldn't be a very big fan of them taking off running to make it go quicker.
