Job Description: The psychically sensitive parts of Leonardo's family historically seemed to make their starts in the wizarding work culture by this humble way with the exception of Leonardo himself, who had taken to living as a Hermit away from it all up until his fall from grace. In trying to get his life together and in knowing it is likely he has been cut off from his own right of inheritance, he realizes that he must find a purpose in his life and find a way to make income should the worst be realized. With many variable methods of Divination at his disposal and a mastery of Astronomy his to command, Leonardo reluctantly began to open his Inverness cottage for a barebones Fortune Telling business with specializations being in the realm of Cartomancy, Tassography and Oneriomancy. As he would soon discover, it would be merely the mention of his infamous surname that would draw interest from several curious or otherwise needy candidates to his door--for the better or for the worse...

Yes - you can claim it for free. However, you need to submit the homework via the report card (instead of answering the question, please just state that you were Professor of Astronomy (Dec 2020 - July 2021) and this is your one free OWL/NEWT etc). Once it's approved, it will show up on your report card and be considered 'claimed'. There isn't a way for me to just give you the OWL, unfortunately, so I need you to claim it through the homework system and show us your report card to approve this - Hjørdis (3rd July)

Job Description: After graduating Hogwarts without many career goals to pursue, Adam finds work in London at the Phineas Spencer Crumb Genealogical Library & Museum (referred to familiarly as "the Crumb" by those few witches and wizards who visit it), a small, independent outfit run by an elderly man called Otto Crumb. Otto's library, hidden away in South Kensington where it is dwarfed by the nearby Muggle museums, is dedicated to tracing the history of London's oldest wizarding families. Like its proprietor, most of the library's patrons are old folks studying their ancestry or working on genealogical surveys, but now and again the occasional young person will stop by. Adam's job as Mr. Crumb's aide involves reshelving books, keeping the card catalogues tidy, sweeping and dusting the reading room when necessary, and helping visitors with their inquiries to the best of his ability. On slow days (of which there are many), he takes advantage of the library's collection to practice his Gobbledegook, write letters to friends, or enjoy extended lunch breaks in Hyde Park.

Job Title: Bouncer
Job Description: Having been kicked out of the house / strongly encouraged to move out by his parents upon graduation, Dolf tags along with a group of boys from Durmstrang and travels with them as far as London, where there are new, better job prospects to explore. He settles in Greenwich and starts looking for work in security or defense, but the closest thing he can find is a "help wanted" sign seeking a new bouncer at the Pint & Pistle, a magical pub run by fellow Durmstrang alum and Polish witch Jadwiga Choroba and her family. The pub, situated close to the Thames, is a humble establishment that borders on dingy, but it draws a regular crowd of witches, wizards, and other magical folk who prefer the atmosphere to some of Central London's busier pubs and clubs. Although hesitant to hire him due to his age, Jadwiga warms to Dolf during his initial interview and agrees to take him on — on the condition that, in addition to his duties as a bouncer, he helps with other jobs around the pub as well, like running empty glasses to the bar or cleaning the bathrooms. Dolf accepts these terms, telling himself it's only temporary, anyway, and settles in with the Choroba family. While at work, he shares stories about Durmstrang, listens to Jadwiga's tales of the old country, mans the front door, and helps keep the rowdier patrons at bay.

Job Description: She never had to work. The Alptraums had always been well-off; the majority of their wealth coming from old money. Of course, that never stopped any of them from doing odd jobs and "favors" throughout their history. They didn't have to, but most did work until retirement, or other interests struck; whichever came first. Xailah was no exception to the desire to keep busy.

After her graduation from Hogwarts she immediately began looking for jobs, but her search was cut short with the news of a surprise marriage. She'd be wed over the summer to Barrow Leveret, and subsequently choose to travel the world with him as his companion. Wishing to pull her weight in the relationship- as Barrow was working as a saleswizard for quidditch merchandise- Xailah would continue to look for any job that would take her.

It was by luck she'd come across a club, while traveling, that was in need of a spare hand. Chauncey Darling was a renowned owner of several high-end club chains across the wizarding world and was looking for new attractions for the club life he had been growing over the years.

Chauncey couldn't take Xailah on as a permanent fixture in his collection due to the traveling habits of her and her husband- which she staunchly refused to give up or change- but he was happy to bring her on as a temporary addition to his club scene. If she was consistent while under his watchful eye, then he'd consider making her a more prominent face in his shows- and maybe even introduce her to his cabaret.

Xailah was permitted to do gogo gigs and occasionally stand-in for absent performers at Chauncey's club chains, if she was in the area; but if there wasn't any performance work to do, she would take up menial tasks unprompted, such as serving food and drinks, or mending costumes for performers. It was busy work, but she enjoyed it. But the best part was when she went home to Barrow and they got to exchange stories about their day. That was what she enjoyed the most.

TL;DR: Xailah will be doing small gogo and performance gigs while traveling, as well as occasionally helping out with little tasks and jobs she finds in the clubs she visits.

Job Description: If there was one thing Rosie loved in Hogwarts, it was certainly Quidditch. An athlete at her core, there was nothing she imagined that would be more fun than playing Quidditch as a job. So, in her last year of school, Rosie attempted to get on the Yorkshire Quidditch team for an immediate ride out of school. And with her luck... She was accepted! Second-String! Not... Great, but a start! The job had to start somewhere, and Rosie was thankful to be there at all.

Dmitri was listless.

He has never had to think about the future save for when his next duel was going to be, and yet here he was, out of Hogwarts, expected to get a job. The answer should be simple, right? In fact, multiple UK dueling teams both minor and major had sent him owls with offers to sign him after his stellar Hogwarts career.

However, deep down, the boy knew it just wouldn't be the same.

Maybe it was because he'd start at the bottom of the rung again, after all these years being at the top. Maybe it was because of the fear that he'd be just another duelist in a league of other just-as-good or even-better duelists in the country, relegating him into another nameless wannabe. Or maybe it was just because he missed his godsdamned team—the Vipers—that he had helped establish and watched grow and left with an unexplainably heavy heart on his graduation day.

Whatever it was, he felt like he had to take a break—some time away from dueling—to find out if he still held the same great love for the sport as he once had.

And so his replies to all those owls were the same: I'll think about it.

Dmitri now spends his time at this new-age, hipster, cottagecore wizard library called The Pinetrail Bibliotheque checking out books, arranging crystals, lighting scented candles, reading to children about The Nargle and The Hare several times a week through gritted teeth, and picking pesky flowers out of his hair courtesy of said children. Sometimes, he got to do cheap tricks with his wand like sparks and fireworks to an apt audience the maximum age of which is five. He treasures these moments most of all because at least he can say he's putting some of his dueling skills to good use… stretching his spellcasting muscles and whatnot.

The older patrons of the library (including the middle-aged chronically-optimistic quidditch-mom who owned the library called Jane Dugall) has made it a habit to keep reminding the broody, snarky wizard to "smile" more often because that will help attract all the pretty girls—and boys (read: new-age)—into asking him out on a stroll among the Scots Pine trees outside and maybe get an ice cream cone or two despite his incessant protests. He can't complain too loudly, though, or he feared the older ladies would stop bringing over baked goods.

Though there was no real pressure from her family to work or even become independant yet, Frost decided to put down chasing her dream career for a bit and work full-time at her family's bakery. Frost's personality and affinity for people had always attracted customers, and her love of baking was a bonus, she was a natural. It seemed only too obvious to work at the bakery where her skillset would shine. Having helped out around the bakery with her family since before her bisnonna passed, the transition would come easy to her, familiar with how it ran.

The choice between working at the bakery and chasing her actual dream career as a healer was a difficult one at first. However, her father's exhaustion wasn't lost on her- having to run two businesses wasn't easy work. Frost's older sister, Evangeline, had taken the duty of assisting their father with the matters of the larger and more crucial business of their wand shop. Frost knew her talents lay elsewhere, deciding to assist her father with the bakery instead. Any way she could help him and relieve him of some burden, she would.

Putting her true passion aside to help her family might set her back a little, but it would be worth aiding her father. She hadn't been too upset either, her new job would give her more time to visit her friends and such at their own jobs and lives than a job as a healer would.

Job Description: Since coming to Hogwarts, Cecily hadn't known a life outside of Quidditch. If she wasn't in class, on her broom, or thinking about being on her broom, she was lost. She had never been naturally inclined towards academics, so when time came to complete her OWLs, she wasn't the most dedicated to any of the subjects— except for flying. It had been in the back of her mind for a few years now, the idea of being able to play Quidditch professionally. And when she had tried out for the Holyhead Harpies alongside her dear friend Ami, she really hadn't expected to hear back, being so young and fresh out of school. In fact, she had planned to move back home for a time while she figured out where to go from here. But there it was: an offer to play second-string for the acclaimed women's team. Maybe it was her years of captaincy bolstering her status, or maybe it was the impressive scoring record of her final match at Hogwarts, but she had gotten a foot in the door of the professional Quidditch world, and that was all she could ask for.
