Raizel vs Sere
ReducioRaizel casts Flipendo at Sere.
Wisdom DC: 9
Wisdom Check: [d20: 18] + 8 = 26 > 9 → Success
Accuracy Check: [d20: 1] + 8 = 9 → Crit Miss
New Target: Wall | Lea → Tatsu chose Lea
Accuracy Check: [d20: 12] = 12
Evasion Check: [d20: 18] + 15 = 33
12 < 33 → Miss
Sere vs Raizel
ReducioSere casts Flipendo at Raizel.
Wisdom DC: 9
Wisdom Check: [d20: 12] + 8 = 20 > 9 → Success
Accuracy Check: [d20: 19] + 7 - 2 Rictusempra = 24
Evasion Check: [d20: 19] + 7 = 26
24 < 26 → Miss
The pressure of the clock ticking down struck the Gryffindors this round, trying to pull together enough strategy for this round and the next. Unfortunately, it seemed now that the exhaustion would hit as both struggled to hit their target. For Sere, the tickling created an obstacle of strange proportions and while she had almost willed herself to remain still and in control against it, another fit shot the Knockback Jinx slightly off target. It would still take Raizel all of her effort to get out of the way, moving just in time to avoid the speeding spell, but had that last giggle attack not occured Lea was certain the older gryffindor would have felt the impact of Sere's carefully crafted magical punch. It was a good thing she had calibrated into the younger Gryffindor's moves, finding the rhythm in the dance as Sere kept an impressive hold of her wand even when inflicted by Rictusempra.
While having previously focused on spells that could damage and debuff or keep Raizel out of danger for a little bit, she decided it was now time to be straight forward- the two would be casting the same spells against each other as she copied Sere's Flipendo. While Raizel had far more experience with the wand movement, the sharp moves cutting through the air, her previous dodge sacrificed any aim the Gryffindor might have had. Instead the spell came whizzing closer to Lea than Sere, the Hufflepuff instinctively stepping out of the way as she watched the spell crash into one of the nearby walls, dissipating against the stone. They seemed to be getting tired, but hopefully they could pull themselves together for a final round. Both would definitely need the Hospital Wing after this, though, Lea only trusting her healing capabilities enough to keep someone stable but not fully heal the wounds they both sustained.

Date : February 2nd, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said "Flipendo!"
Her seventh action was The Knockback Jinx, but because of the tickling sensation Sere was failed to throw the spell accurately and Raizel was able to avoid her offensive spell. Ugh, is casting Flipendo prefectly always be this difficult? Sere noted that she has to practice on this spell harder because she thinks that this spell is gonna be an important one if she wanted herself to give a big impact on her next official duel.
Now her focus is on avoiding the spell that Raizel's going to cast. In this condition, is it even possible? Sere stared intently at the second year while trying to hold back the tears in her eyes. The tickling sensation turned into a rather painful numbness. The British-Korean girl could hear that Raizel is casting the same spell: The Knockback Jinx.
Crap!
Sere could see light from the tip of Raizel's wand, indicating that the girl had successfully cast the spell. Oh no. Sere was about to close her eyes when she realized something and said inside herself to stay opened it. Wait a minute, where is she aiming actually? Sere could see that the spell is ricocheted to another direction. The girl felt a sort of déjà vu. She remembered very well that the same thing happened to Raizel back then during the Winter Games, the only difference is that the spell was ricocheted towards Sere and now it's ricocheted towards Lea, the moderator.
I hope she's not taking it hard to herself. Sere looked at the talented duellist, preparing for her final action in this duel.WC : 265/200

❂《 ⌜ February 2, 2024 ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Of course, this was too good to be true. How could she forget how her luck will take the turn for the worse when it matters the most, how the universe would make a laughing stock out of her by putting her in an advantageous situation only for it to drag her back down. Either that or she was just not built for duelling. This happened before, her spells going astray, the power that it has been too much for her to control or she made the usual mistake of quickly casting back a spell while still recovering from a dodge attempt which is what happened this time.
She almost hit her teammates during the official duel, twice and this time, she almost hit Lea which also happened twice by now, the first being in a different situation. She felt like cursing at her performance, eyes staring at her wand filled with frustration, grip tightening around it that it might actually end up breaking in her grasp despite how weak she is physically. Exhaustion wasn’t helping either, the mental strain of casting spells after spells was starting to take a huge toll on her. As if her fleeting sanity wasn’t enough to torture her.
She could scream right now, just let out that frustration that had been building up for years but she didn’t. That wouldn’t be too professional of her now, would it? Instead, she would muster her remaining sanity to keep her head cool, her hand steady but if one would look her in the eyes, fury is there, dangerous fury.

Raizel vs Sere
ReducioRaizel casts Flipendo at Sere.
Wisdom DC: 9
Wisdom Check: [d20: 11] + 8 = 19 > 9 → Success
Accuracy Check: [d20: 4] + 8 = 12

Sere vs Raizel
ReducioSere casts Flipendo at Raizel.
Wisdom DC: 9
Wisdom Check: [d20: 6] + 8 = 14 > 9 → Success
Accuracy Check: [d20: 4] + 7 - 2 Rictusempra = 9
Evasion Check: [d20: 19] + 7 = 26
9 < 26 → Miss
Perhaps a bit of an anticlimatic end, but a fair one- both of them were likely very tired and keeping the clock going any longer wasn't going to change anything. Any last bit of effort within their reserves would be expended now, a final attempt to change the game or keep conscious. Both were now casting the same spells, full intention of getting in another forceful blow through the Knockback Jinx.
Raizel would be the first to act, fury pushing her forward yet perhaps a bit too far. While the older Gryffindor would get the jump, her quick casting lost any of its aiming- certainly closer than the last attempt had been, but the spell would find itself shooting off and away from Sere. The younger lion seemed focused despite the Tickling Charm, keeping a good distance between Raizel's wandpoint and her location even before the spell vanished into the space between. It looked like a good sign for Sere, a potential to turn things around.
But her capacity to keep control would wane too as both dodging and forced laughter took more effort than anticipated, it seemed. The spellwork was strong enough to keep the spell- Sere had studied well in her classes apparently- but it didn't hold the same speed as Raizel's just before. Plus with a sudden tickle attack, Sere would find her own cast facing the same fate as her opponents. Still closer to Raizel than Lea, the spell careened off and away into one of the nearby walls with a muffled crash as the impact dispersed. The jinx didn't have much of a chance to begin with, Raizel's fury translating more to light feet or perhaps the sheer will to not feel any pain. It was- a little unsettling, so the Hufflepuff quickly glanced away as she raised her arms and stepped between the two to signal the end of the duel.
"It looks like Raizel is the winner! But congratulations to the both of you- I hope it was entertaining or informative..." She'd pause for a moment to let them collect their breaths and for her to assess the wounds a little more- both of them could certainly walk, but with how much pain Lea couldn't be too sure. "How are you both feeling? Should we be heading to the Hospital Wing?"

❂《 ⌜ February 2, 2024 ▎ --:-- ⌟▛▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔Raizel had discarded the debuff strategies that she had in mind and went in with full force. There was only one goal right now and that’s to knock the poor first year before her, blinded by that rage that she had suppressed for years. Sere doesn’t deserve it of course, it wasn’t meant for her after all. She was just unfortunate that the older Gryffindor had decided to give in to it at this very moment, her desperation for that win that she doesn’t get to taste during the official duel adding fuel to it.
Unfortunately… or rather, fortunately, that powerful knockback jinx missed its mark even though Raizel didn’t like that one bit. It was a good cast, yet that aim of hers, that blasted aim of hers ruined it once more, much like what it always does. Her opponent seems to be trying the same thing, using the same spell as hers to turn the tides. Raizel can’t have that. She manages to stay away from its trajectory, successfully avoiding it. Good. Next time, she will-
That thought of hers was interrupted by the Hufflepuff stepping between them, signaling the end of the duel. She won? Then why does she feel so unsatisfied with it? This wasn’t the outcome that she was hoping for. Her opponent is still standing after all. This can’t be the end, they still need to continue. It can’t end like this. No, she wants her opponent down for the count!
Wait, that’s not right at all… she shouldn’t be thinking like that.
She closed her eyes, letting herself calm down. Breathe in, breathe out. Desperation, anger, such dangerous emotions. She mustn't let those consume her again. Once she got her bearings back, she looked over to Sere and then to Lea. “I… I think I can manage going back. I’ll just sleep this off.” she told them with an exhausted look on her face. “Thanks for the duel and it is rather informative.” Raizel thanked them with a small smile to try and ease up some more before picking up her things. A frown formed slowly on her face once she had her back turned on them.
Informative indeed. It made her realize that this sport is not for her and it’s slowly draining her sanity and has the highest chance to turn her into a monster instead of an Auror. She have to get away, not just for her sake, but for others as well.

Good Practice, Rather than Best Practice
Date : February 2nd, 2024 Color code : Written|Thought|Said Sere is never wrong about one thing : Raizel and herself, both has similarities that's very hard to explain. Like now for example, how both of them chose an offensive approach in the last round. Efforts that were both in vain, but showed a strong determination as the lionesses to maintain their pride above anything else until the end.
Sere lost in this duel, and just as she stated before : She knew that she didn't want to be defeated. She didn't want to lose, but right now it didn't feel like she had lost. She remembered her goal to stand until the very end and now she had succeeded. Her performance was still far from perfect, but what just happened wasn't something bad to regret. I will train myself harder to be even better.
Raizel's smile at her seemed like a farewell for everything related to duel. The duel piste, the duel opponent, and the duel itself. Sere took a deep breath and whispered, "The sleeping lion will wake up at its greatest; its grip will be firmer, its claw will be sharper. Comeback stronger, the bravest lioness."
After Raizel's back getting further away, with the remaining effects of Rictusempra Sere tried to stand up. "Thank you for moderating this duel. It was informative for me too. I hope we can interact again in another better situation, Lea." She held her stomach while smiling a little, very little, "I'm going to get some fresh air to ease this pain. See you when I see you."
Hmph, the fresh air was just a lie because Sere walked quickly towards the library. This girl intended to take a pile of parchment and a quill, then began to evaluate herself. As usual, the typical stubborn ambitious Sere Nade.
