The Virtanen Summer Fest

Right, when I said yes to some people having their pureblood parent drag their non-pureblood kid along, I assumed that it would stay an exception and not become so common, but I am now getting owls from people asking for the same.
I am sorry to say that I am going back on that and only allowing kids living in pureblood families. As in residing with only pureblood parents/guardians, as the Virtanens would not invite this many non-pureblood families to drag their non-pureblood kids to a pureblood gathering. Non-humans are also not considered pureblood.

This concerns @Swan Clark, @Eugenia Karageorgiadi, @Ehsilat Wilst. I'm sorry.
Hi everyone,

since I posted this, I got some feedback addressing insensitivity and double-standard, as my own character is not a pureblood, so I want to elaborate and explain where I am coming from here.

Firstly, about the post itself- No one did anything wrong or inconvenienced me and it is not at all the message I wanted to send, I am sorry if it came across that way. My tagging people was not meant to call them out, but I did it in a sense of "Hi, the requirements for attending this event changed due to unexpected high request of what was intended to be an exception and this affects you, you and you". The people I tagged here are also not the ones I got owls from.

Regarding Opeila- yes, she is not a pureblood. For anyone interested, the complete story can be found in the first post of my ency, but here is the short version: At 12 years old, a series of tragedies resulted in Opeila being sent to Finland (this happened in 2020 before I was staff, when residing abroad was still an option on site) where friends of her grandmother took her in. Opeila's mother was a pureblood and the heir to the Crane family, an old English pureblood line, which she turned away from when her first marriage to another pureblood failed.
The Virtanens are an old Finnish pureblood family who took Opeila in as one of their own out of loyalty to the Cranes and Opeila has been with them since. Opeila has also been attending pureblood events as the adopted child of a pureblood family ("your whole family may come but not your adopted kid" would be a pretty rude requirement to put into an invitation after all), and this is the same thing I am still offering- hence my wording "children residing in pureblood families" rather than "pureblood children".

On this note I would like to remind that the Virtanens are the hosts of this, not Opeila. Opeila herself will never be hosting a pureblood event due to the hypocrisy that would be, but she is rooted in this pureblood family now and they will not send her away or leave her at home whenever they host or go to an event.
The event is invitation based and when you post here accepting the invitation, that is implied permission to have the Virtanens know your family well enough to send them an invitation. I was willing to handwave one or two invitations being sent to individuals in non-pureblood families (on that note, bringing the non-pureblood child along would already be inappropriate and toe the line of being rude, given the event is labeled pureblood and there would be no necessity to bring them, as there is another parent that can take care of them while the other parent went) but IC I cannot explain away the Virtanens sending invitations out to so many non-pureblood families as marrying outside of the wizard society is something they frown upon. OOC I don't want to randomly allow some and some not, especially as there is no connection to any ongoing plot between me and any of the ones who asked, so I decided to take this back.

This is not because I don't want your non-pureblood characters to get pureblood plots, for me that has been a fun journey so far and I hope you can find a way to make that possible if that is a plot you want! But this event is a pureblood event. It doesn't make IC sense for the Virtanens to offer up events as "stepping stools" for non-purebloods to enter the pureblood community.
