@name name | MENTIONINGCharisse Woods was bored, which wasn't exactly a rare occurrence. She was so bored that it was painful, almost. Humming a light tune that wouldn't leave her head, Charisse wandered near the great lake with an idle sort of spring in her step. It was only her first month in Hogwarts, but she already seemed to get in the groove of things.
There was a secluded spot just on the outskirts of the great lake that Charisse had made into her little personal sanctuary. It was well oblivious to those walking along the big paths, although students might just stumble upon it if they had the courage to venture out so far, but the chances were quite low. Obviously going so deep into the forest could prove fatal for students, ignorant students that is, but not much for Charisse. She had never had any desire to go too deep inside... not yet anyways.
The afternoon had an unexpected coolness to say it was during summertime. The Gryffindor donned her usual robes. Her school skirt which ended just above her knees danced around with the wind playfully, almost in rhythm with that untamed honey gold hair of hers, if it wasn't having a mind of its own. By now it had grown to around her waist, remaining an unruly and disheveled mess. Her mother always sighed every now and then when the hair she so very neatly tied up returned to her in a tangled mess from another adventure in the manor fields.
Her hands buried themselves into the tangled nest of hair and ruffled it whilst she walked down a slope - not too far from where she would normally take a turning off the path and lay on the soft grass, and then she would gaze at the great lake lost in thoughts. It must have been about an hour or so, her thoughts drifting around before a silhouette stumbled into her view, just a few meters ahead but disappeared again after a few seconds or so. The unknown made the girl feel agitated. Her brown hues widened as she tried to make out the figure, while she raised to her feet and pressed her back against a tree trunk. Following her perhaps? Intriguing yet scaring thoughts began to fill her mind as she turned her gaze.
She made out the individual as a fellow student. A Ravenclaw girl to be exact. The Gryffindor had never seen anyone around here whilst on her visits...
How strange.

The sun pierced through the clouds, casting dappled light under the tree at the edge of the Forbidden Forest and the Great Lake. The area was a serene haven, with the gentle rustle of leaves and the soft lapping of water creating a peaceful ambiance. The ground was covered in a carpet of fallen leaves, and the air was crisp with the scent of pine and earth.
Elena nestled against the rough bark of a sturdy oak, the atmosphere tranquil and soothing. She had a book resting on her knees, its cover adorned with intricate golden patterns. She regularly reached into her bag, nibbling on chocolates that melted smoothly in her mouth, offering a comforting sweetness.
This spot had become her sanctuary, despite others claiming it too. As soon as classes ended, or during weekends, she would change and hurry there. Deciding she had spent enough time there and noticing the gathering clouds, she stood up and brushed off her sweater. She was packing away her book when she heard a faint rustling. Rising to her feet, her sixth sense tingling, she scanned the area.
Soft noises emanated from the Forbidden Forest. This place had never frightened her. Her Ravenclaw heart, insatiably curious, yearned to explore the forbidden zone. Elena observed the surroundings, eyebrows furrowed. Was it a creature? Her instincts told her otherwise. Someone was there. She pushed back her blond hair, adjusting her clip, and squinted her blue-gray eyes.
Elena picked up her bag and started moving toward the sound. A few meters ahead, she saw a vague silhouette, crunching branches underfoot. Her thoughts raced as she slipped behind a tree, observing the stranger. Suddenly, the silhouette vanished from her view. Frowning, tightening her grip on her bag, she stepped out of her hiding spot... only to come face to face with the stranger!
The two girls collided, tumbling to the ground. Elena stood up immediately, wary, her heart pounding. Her eyes fell on her "attacker," who turned out to be a blond girl wearing Gryffindor colors and a stunned expression that triggered a nervous laugh from Elena. The relief, coupled with the absurdity of the situation and the disparity between the perceived threat and Elena's stress, made her collapse back to the ground, shaking with laughter.
After a few moments, she sat up on her knees, wiping away a tear that had formed at the corner of her eye. She tried to speak, her voice still tinged with humor. "Elena, and you?" she said, a smile evident in her tone.

Then another as Charisse groaned in pain, rubbing her arm before lightly shoving the girl's elbow away from where it had jammed into her side. “Oww - ” She whined, wincing as she shifted onto her knees. “You okay?”
The girl blinked owlishly, taking in the utter mess their little collision had wrought with a suspicious hint of disgruntled awe. If her head hadn't hurt so much, it might've been quite comical, even funny in a way.
Hearing Elena's not so subtle laugh made her face bloom into a Cheshire grin. Cici took a moment to study her interlocutor more carefully now. She eyed her dirty blonde hair and scattered freckles, the dark grey-blue eyes perhaps the most striking feature about her. Like most of the girls she'd seen, she was what one might consider dainty.
“Charisse Woods,” she beamed, “Pleasure to meet you even though it's in such circumstances.” Her attempt to stifle a hysterical giggle failed catastrophically. “Honestly, the fact that you’re not screaming in pain or trying to start a fight like most students do leaves me in total resp - ” The rest of the words were cut off as the Gryffindor choked on a laugh, pulling an exaggerated face as she coughed and spluttered.
…
A breeze came. It played with her tresses giving it the same buoyant ripples as the Great Lake so close by. Charisse plucked at a leaf in her hair unceremoniously. It tugged at her hair. “Soooo...” She offered a friendly smile. “What brings you here at this point of the day?”
The clouds looked like cotton candy in the sky. I wonder how it would taste like...referring to ayla as charisse since she likes to be called by her middle name; for more info look here⠀ooc

Elena took deep breaths, trying to stop her uncontrollable laughter. She managed to turn it into a huge grin as she looked more attentively at the blonde-haired girl. She was the kind of pretty that hadn't blossomed yet, a future butterfly still trapped in its chrysalis. She pushed her cascade of blonde hair behind her shoulder and tilted her head as she listened to the newcomer's introduction.
“Charisse Woods,” she grinned, “Pleasure to meet you even though it's in such circumstances.” A loud giggle escaped her mouth. “Honestly, the fact that you’re not screaming in pain or trying to start a fight like most students do leaves me in total resp—” She cut herself off as she burst out in laughter, Elena joining her in her euphoria.
A moment passed as the two girls calmed themselves, and Elena managed to stutter, "The situation was honestly too funny not to laugh." She cleared her throat, raising an eyebrow. "But beware, I could attack you any second," she joked. "Pleasure to meet you, Charisse." She looked down, checking for injuries. Verdict: a light scratch on her elbow and a sharp pain in her left knee. I've seen worse. She always had a high tolerance for pain, but these were mere sores, nothing worth tearing up over.
Both girls sat down where they were, the spot surprisingly comfortable. The Gryffindor brushed a leaf out of her hair—or at least tried to—and smiled at Elena. “Soooo...” she said. “What brings you here at this point of the day?” Elena, who was tugging on her sweater, trying to brush the dirt off it, looked up at Charisse. She nodded toward her bag. "Reading," she declared. "This is one of my secret spots." Even though I'm getting disturbed a lot these days. She didn't mind; Charisse seemed nice. "What about you?" she asked, tilting her head as she always did when she was confused or asking a question.
A moment passed when Elena heard a faint rustle coming from the woods. She turned around, slightly startled. What was that? Did I imagine it? She turned back towards Charisse, half worried, half excited. "You heard that?" she asked, trying to hear it again.
