Lost in the Library
Interacting with Ash Brown~
I wander into the library ecstatically searching the shelves of my new school, Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I look around for awhile but my happiness soon drops a tad when I realize that many of the books are about magical concepts that I do not understand as my classes have yet to begin for me. I smack my forehead and mutter half to myself under my breath "Of course they don't have classics like Agatha Christie's 'And then there were none' or "The murder on the orient express.' No Narnia, no Lord of the Rings, no Wings of Fire even! Not like these aren't interesting but I don't exactly understand any of it." I sigh and mutter under my breath "Does this school have *any* books written by muggles?"
Out of the blue, I hear the friendly voice of someone behind me. "Actually, it does have a few. Would you like me to help you find some?"
I turn around and blink a few times as I realize that the voice belongs to a Hufflepuff girl. I nod slowly my eyes shining with excitement again "I...I'd love that actually...would you really? I'm new here so I don't know where anything is hehe. The other day, I got lost on my way to my dormitory." I chuckle and rub the back of my neck nervously. I pray to myself "Please don't let this girl think I'm annoying...Please God....Please..."

The second-year classes seemed a lot more interesting than the first-year classes had been— well, everything except the History of Magic was...
Funny it had to be their last class today. It would have been much better if it was Potions, DADA or Charms, but never mind.
Ash made her way towards the library with her quill, parchment and some chocolate frogs hidden in her pocket which could perhaps help her with the boredom she was going to suffer in the library while doing her History homework. She wished she could join the laugh going on in her dorm, but that wouldn't have been fun without her friends.
Stepping into the library, Ash found herself an empty seat and dumping her quill and parchment on the table, she went off to get the History of Magic textbook. The library was always a little populated and obviously, it was impossible to find complete silence there, but a specific voice among the noise grabbed her attention. She looked around and spotted a girl at the end of a shelf talking to herself, audible enough to Ash.
Books written by muggles...? Ash thought. She had seen a few books by muggles authors there. Should I help her?
She hesitated before approaching the girl. Putting on a smile to hide her nervousness, Ash finally spoke.
"Hey! Actually, it does have a few. Would you like me to help you find some?"
The girl turned around and blinked at Ash which made her wonder whether she'd startled the girl. She could tell she'd never seen her before anywhere. Was she a senior?
"I...I'd love that actually...would you really? I'm new here so I don't know where anything is hehe. The other day, I got lost on my way to my dormitory," the girl replied happily.
So... she's a firstie? Ash thought.
"Yep!!" Ash smiled. "Oh... that happens, I kept getting lost when I first arrived at Hogwarts, but you get used to all of it later— don't worry about that!"
The thought of losing her way more than a thousand the last year always made Ash frown at herself. The awful of all, she still struggled to find the Potions classroom in the dungeons...
"Follow me!" Ash moved around to find a muggle author's book and finally spotted one. She jumped to catch a blue-covered book and gave it to the girl.
"Here it is! I think you can find more muggle books on this shelf... but I'm not sure." She shrugged.

Lost in the Library
As the Hufflepuff girl replied to Sara, she felt excitement course through her veins at the prospect of being able to find some of the books she had read and loved from her old muggle library. And maybe, on top of that great pleasure, would be the fun of making a new friend....
She chuckled on hearing of the girl's past experiences from when she had first arrived at Hogwarts.
"Huh, so I'm not the only one then, thank God." She said laughing awkwardly. She started putting her hands into the pockets on her Gryffindor robe when she stopped and chuckled Sorry, bad habit of mine. Half the time I don't know what to do with my hands. They just feel strange dangling down doing nothing sometimes.
As the girl smiled and said Follow me! Sara walked after her taking casual interested glances at the multiple rows of bookshelves filled with books with red, blue, gold, green, and many other colored bindings. She passed by a strange book that had a magical lock on it. She picked it up and blew some dust off. On doing so, she saw some strange letters and artwork she couldn't read.
Strange.... she thought. Must be runes. She placed it down with a shrug and followed after the Hufflepuff girl quickly in order to catch up. She was holding a blue paper back covered book with the title "The Two Towers." I grin and hold it excitedly Dang, I have a copy of this book at home but wasn't able to pack it due to storage space. Thank you so much! What's your name, by the way? I chuckle Cause I don't wanna have to keep calling you "that friendly Hufflepuff girl from the Library" every time I see you. Oh and mine's Sara Stonely.

"Yo, I get you." She chuckled which might have sounded more like a laugh. "Don't worry, I don't think that's a bad habit... I too start cracking my fingers when I have nothing to do with my hands."
As Ash handed the book called 'The Two Towers' to the girl, she saw her smile widely.
"That's alright! And woah that's cool! I read this book here last year and it's cool. Thought you might like it." Ash returned the grin.
Oh, my History homework... She suddenly thought and regretted that it popped into her mind. She would rather do her muggle-world Maths homework than write a whole damn parchment about Runes. Sure she didn't hate History, but she never liked it as well— doesn't matter whether it was about muggles or wizards. History is History Nor did she have a brain good enough to memorise happenings in the past. Learning spells were much easier...
Again, she didn't hate history.
She ignored the voice in her head begging her to leave everything and finish her homework and replied to the girl, laughing at the mention of "that friendly hufflepuff girl from the library."
"I'm Ash... Ash Brown. Nice to meet you, Sara!!" Grinning, she extended her hand to shake it with Sara's.WC—222/200
