It was Akihiko’s second time playing quidditch internationally, and this time he was actually on his team this time, instead of some mashup team. Not that Uga—whatever wasn’t great to play with, but playing with his team was more his style. Except that it meant he would be benched until Miharu Goto was down. It had been hard convincing his parents to allow him to attend the game, ever since they found out he was second string. And of course Botan’s parents were thrilled that their son was doing better than Akihiko, which had earned him a stern talking to from his parents about the ‘最小限の努力¹’ he was putting into sports. They had strongly encouraged him to drop it, but he refused.

He smirked at his team, smiling before announcing "私たちは勝ちます！²" to the team.

Pedro, by all accounts, should be nervous. Instead, he could barely keep still on his broom. He was new to the team, the other beater was his senior of two years (@June Selwyn). That did not matter, though. He would earn his spot on the roster not only through his sweat but also through the blood and tears of his opponents. It was time to lock-in. Pedro canceled out the world around him. Closing his eyes, he mumbled. "Pedro Pedro Pedro Pedro Pe." A vision of a raccoon spinning in a circle filled his brain. This was a ritual Pedro recently started partaking in as it made him connect with his 'more ferial side' as he liked to put it. The reality is much more likely that it was a catchy song and he pretended it was his fan's (of which he had none) chanting and cheering his name.

In the role of Beater, if you hit an opponent with a bludger the bludger will then ricochet off that user and target a second opponent of choice (must be declared, if not declared the target will be random and can be an ally but not yourself).

In the role of Beater, if an ALLY dodges a bludger during the round, there is a 20% chance that you catch that bludger with your bat and you send it at a RANDOM enemy target.

Aryaan floated in the air for just a second after the referee had announced the start of the game, dazed.

It was not the stadium that had him, or even the upper years that they'd be taking on -- Mahou had their own scary upper years, after all. No, it was that the referee had not actually said something along the lines of 'lets keep this a clean/fair/insert-appropriate-term-for-boring-here game'. No they had just asked for an exciting game.

And boy, could he give them excitement.

"ARE YOU READY FOR EXCITEMENT, FOLKS. CAUSE WE'RE GONNA BE BRINGING THE EXCITEMENT" he all but yelled out to the heavens and the earth, even as his grip on his broom tightened.

He had promised. Now all he had to do was deliver.

Walking onto the field for the first time in an official match was Nerve racking for Meg, atleast she thought it'd be. However as she stood on that ground as a Second string keeper for her School, All she could feel was pride for making it into the team. Meg muttered to herself "i got this, i got this, i got this" is her way of keeping her mind focused, making eye contact with her teammates and opponents, Meg gave everyone a curt nod.

Here it is, the Summer Quidditch Game, the one that Miharu had been waiting for. This was her chance to try again, to be better this time. Last summer games, her performance wasn't that great and naturally, her parents were disappointed. She too was disappointed and would prefer for something like that to never happen again.

While Haru is not that competitive when it comes to sports or even in studying, Quidditch is different. It's the only one that she truly would love to excel in, to be the best of, the one where she always tries to aim for that sweet victory and come out on top, not just for herself, but also for her team. She can't let them down, not again. Whatever happened last time, she'd rather not repeat it and be more of a disappointment.

Focus. Deep breaths, in and out.

While she knows someone on the other team and… did he just winked at her? Maybe, she was too busy getting her focus that she only caught a glimpse of him. In anycase, that won't stop her from doing the best she could in this game. The only allies she has here is her team, nothing more and nothing less.

The time has finally arrived. It's Mateo's very first Quidditch match and he's excited and nervous at the same time. Tho he's been training for this moment his whole life, he couldn't help but wonder what'll happen during this match. He's happy that he got the position he wanted, first string chaser. With his broom in hand, Mateo followed his team onto the field and mounted his broom before hopping onto it and pushing down hard so he could begin flying. He was ready for his very first Quidditch match.

While Alphonse's original summer plans had been thwarted with his mother's cruel sentencing of dwelling in the winterscape purgatory that would be the 2024 Summer camp, stripped of his broom privileges, and coerced into the daily chores of kitchen duties, the only scheduled event of his summer could not come fast enough. Luckily, thanks to his mother's mercifulness, the Haitian boy was granted the privilege of participating in unofficial broom racing and unofficial quidditch before the big day. Whether Sarai's bestowed kindness resulted from her son's hard work, charm, or something else was entirely unbeknownst to the boy. Alphonse wouldn't question the woman's motives, though; he'd simply display his gratitude by demonstrating exactly how he earned his role of first-string chaser.

The Suzuki was only a second string. Sadly, Kanae joined the team a bit late after she let go of broom racing. Quidditch was a better sport for her because playing in a team of course but as a second string, she couldn't play much. Yes, she was disappointed but she'll get her chance someday. Kanae sat on the bench with the other second strings as she watched all the first-strings in the pitch. 'Good game...'

The Castelobruxo keeper was suspended in air on their Comet 180, tying back their long inky tresses that once spilled across their shoulders with a gold ribbon. As they did so, Azul’s amber eyes narrowed at the team across the field, trying to gauge their counterparts’ movements. This was their first international quidditch match and yet, Azul’s ambition did not falter at the daunting notion. All their previous games had been just brief skirmishes that held no victory and didn't draw as much of an audience. Here, they could see students from Hogwarts as well as the other international schools filter in to the audience stands, filling the once silent air with cheering and excited murmurs as the last of the spectators found their seats.

Azul's amber gaze wandered from the opposing team to the more familiar sight of their team, exchanging assured nods and grins that held both excitement and perhaps a little bit of unease at facing the opposing senior players.
