Some people are just terrible with dates. I've been married to my husband for almost 11 years, he was there for every one of his childrens' births, and I STILL have to tell him all of our birthdays.
I even have to tell him his parents' birthdays.
He knows the month but I could tell him the day before where we going for dinner tomorrow for so and so birthday and when I remind him at lunch he's like "We're going to blah blah birthday dinner tonight?!"

He also never knows when national holidays are. It just isn't on his radar.

*shrugs* I'm sure your boyfriend knows you care, you just don't have a brain for dates.
