Guin was so lost in her own world that she almost didn't notice a younger boy skating towards her, or at least trying to; A for effort for sure. Guin put her toe pick into the ice to stop her rotation, momentarily dizzy as her vision continued spinning. In an effort to stop the feeling, she blinked slow, which worked, but she almost missed the boy introducing himself as Prat, a rising second year Slytherin. "Hi, I'm Guin," she said back. "Soon to be fourth year of the same house." Prat proceeded to compliment her skating and ask for tips on how to skate. Being Guin, Guin never really turned down people asking for advice, because it made her hella proud and gave her an ego boost.
"Thanks," she said in response to the compliment. "So, I feel like more than half of skating is falling, so don't be scared of falling when you're just starting out. Plus, falls won't hurt too much if you're not jumping or spinning." She faced the younger boy and placed her feet in a "T" position; left foot facing him and right foot perpendicular facing the right. "This is going to be your starting position. Make sure to bend your knees and hold your arms out to balance. Then, push out using your right leg and glide on your left. When you start feeling off-balance, just put your foot down and repeat the push with your other leg." She demonstrated a few pushes, getting a sense of déjà vu remembering how this was how her first coach taught her to skate as well.

The Feast began to pick up in energy, voices clambering louder as more people filtered into the space, the food quickly being dispersed across the tables with the growing appetites that dominated the gathering. Between good food and the company of one her best friends, Emily was relishing in the good times she was having.
The talk of the Ilvermorny boy clearly sparked something in Scout as Emily looked at her. Of course Scout meant nothing but good intentions but Emily couldn't help the sheepish laugh over her statement. "Just try not to bite him too hard if you're going to give him a few words...!" Emily admired Scout's tenacity but knowing that boy, a whole new situation would arise if it ever came to it. There were as many types of trouble as there were people.
Her concerns were quickly brushed away when Scout began talking about a boy she met from Uagadou. Huh, fancy that. Emily smiled at the prospect of both her and Scout meeting new people from different magical schools, despite the fact that one experience sounded more... pleasant than the other.
"I guess we both got lucky, huh..." She said, almost half mocking herself. It was an entertaining coincidence though Emily had a strange take of meeting that unpleasant boy being lucky. Lucky to have encountered such a rude and brash boy, that is. Not that she would ever let that get to her. She was still startled by what transpired on that day but that wasn't enough to spoil her mood even days after it happened.
She took notice on how empty her own plate was compared to Scout. Something was on her mind, she could tell. Quite unlike the Scout Emily was very familiar with. Then again, everybody has their little bouts of "brain time" every now and then. Emily wasn't going to pry though, blissfully assuming she was okay and that it wasn't anything serious. If it was, she'd let Scout discuss it on her own terms. She deserved that privacy, it being hers after all.
Still, Scout had to eat. Emily managed to hoke around her plate and dug up one of the last few meatballs she had left after dissecting her cheese tornado. She hovered it in front of Scout's nose, a smile curving at the side of her mouth.

At least Mylo had packed a few warmer items for the evenings which left them with enough to keep warm. But Colby seemed quite agitated, which was understandable as she was probably quite cold, but not bringing anything warm was not something Mylo thought to be a smart idea. The evenings could get quite cold and a jumper or two were always useful.
Knowing that they had a jumper that he had brought but didn't wear often he decided to offer to let her borrow it, on the condition that she brought it back to him of course. "Yeah, that's fair. I do have an extra jumper that's quite warm if you would like to borrow it? As long as you bring it back to me at the end of camp I'd be happy to let you wear it for the month. It's just a plain black one but it's really quite warm."
He hoped that she would either take their offer or go to one of the organisers and have them lend her something to keep warm. The fact that she had just shared that she was a first year made a lot of sense to Mylo, as it explained why magic wasn't her first thought. They hoped she would use more caution in the future but they had a feeling that would be easier said than done.
Although her next comment really really irked Mylo. She apparently really didn't care if she hurt others, biting their tongue they decided not to say anything. She most likely hadn't seen or experienced people getting hurt from those kinds of actions and thus didn't know the damage it could do to people, so Mylo gave her the benefit of the doubt hoping that one day she would be a little more empathetic towards others.
Although the way she was manhandling that hat made them regret offering his jumper, and left him hoping that it would stretch back to the original design. Although now she did seem more appropriately clothed for the weather.
As they were stood there another student came up to them, she seemed to have a bit of an accent to her greeting so Mylo assumed she was from one of the other schools. Which Colby had already asked so Mylo would know in a second if that was true or not. Not quite sure why the student had come up to them though he smiled politely and greeted her, waiting for the answer from Colby's question.
"Hi."

- Opening Feast -
This was not in any way okay. The big "Wintry Welcome" sign appeared to be teasing her as Acacia walked up to the opening feast from her tent. Sure escaping Columbia's sweltering heat would have been nice, but she had not in any way packed for snow. Her boots would be fine, but the one jacket she had packed was for rain and was not helping in this cold. Choosing to stay in her denim shorts from earlier hadn't helped either. But cold or not, she was at least going to try and enjoy this camp. Even if the theme the organisers had chosen majorly sucked.
Despite the whole "everything is freezing" thing, the feast didn't look all that bad. Maybe if she wasn't dying of cold she would even say the whole thing looked almost impressive. Making a beeline for the hot cocoa bar, she wrapped her fingers around a warm cup of deliciousness. It smelled crazy good and certainly tasted it. Though she was definitely letting it cool down first. Deciding to take a walk while she drank, her wandering feet led her over to the ice skating rink. Ice wasn't something that one found in the rain forest often, unless some fancy pureblood had magiced it there to show off their latest hobby. It certainly wasn't something she had ever had the chance to try before.
Dropping her finished cup into a bin nearby, she headed towards the racks of skates. Sadly ice-skates were not among her shoe collection and she was going to have to make do with these. Her desire to give skating a go warred with her (wonderful) taste in shoes for a minute, till she let out a long sigh and grabbed a pair. Sometimes you had to make sacrifices. Lacing them up and feeling great remorse at leaving her boots (hidden behind a few others- she was not letting boots that beautiful get stolen), she stepped out onto the rink. And immediately fell over. Her but hit the ice with a thud and an outraged "OUCH". She had expected ice to be slippery, but this was ridiculous. How did you even walk?
Scooting along to the edge of the rink where she could grab a railing, she pulled herself up and stuck like glue to the side of that thing. She wasn't the only one desperately clinging to the wall either- an absolutely tiny part goblin blocked the way slightly up ahead of her. A small mean part of her brain made a snide remark about how he wouldn't have far to fall anyway. Her thoughts immediately ganged up on it and started kicking it. Castelobruxo was better. She had a home, she had friends, she was happy. Sharp tounges and quick fists had no place here. While she had been fighting a war with herself, an older girl had come over and started giving the shorter kid advice.
It turned out that skating was more about sliding than walking. Overhearing the other girl's advice, she bent her own knees and slowly made her way forwards with the wall for support. This was actually quite fun once you started to get it. She gave a laugh of her own and let go of the wall, picking up speed ever so slightly. Unfortunately, she was certainly no master yet. She was destined to make contact with the cold, hard ground a few more times and one of those times was now. This time it was her poor arms that got to catch her fall. Falling itself wasn't so bad (not nearly as bad as from a broomstick) but now that she had let go of the wall how was she meant to get back up again?
Short-lived as her skate was, it had taken her over to where the tiny boy and the girl had ended up. It was embarrassing to have to ask for a hand, but unless she wanted to scoot all the way back over to the wall it looked like she was going to have to. "Hey! Could I uh.. get some help here?" she smiled at the pair.

Prat complimented the ice skater who looked lost in her act of spinning previously, she introduced herself as Guin, a Senior Slytherin. Proceeding the compliments he decided to ask her for tips.
This sport on ice was new to Prat, one he'd seen and heard before but did not had profound interest before. Perhaps it was the company of like minded friends who too planned to partake in this activity no matter their inexperience or perhaps it was the fear of missing out which steeled his resolve enough to seek help from a someone more experienced.
Guin gave Prat a few words to which unbeknownst to her, somewhat relieved his fear of falling over, much less his fear of embarrassment however. Shaking these thoughts off Prat decided to focus on her words as she told him to form a T shape with both his feet;left feet facing forward while the right faced sideways, perpendicular to the left one. Holding his hand out to maintain balance Prat decided to push out as his body started moving albeit wobbly, but moving nonetheless.
The prospect of how he'd share his newfound skill with his friends in the camp, somewhat wondering and later to his mother, who he believed would certainly enjoy this considering her penchant for the cold weather,Before coming back to the moment in the rink with he cold wind blowing past his now cold and red cheeks.
With time as he gained confidence in himself Prat could now do it without spreading his arms as far wide or legs as shaky. Feeling himself glide over the ice was akin to what he imagined flying would be like without a broom. Making his way back towards Guin after a while, Prat thanked her for her time and made a last query for how he could learn the spins and other moves she was performing when he first saw her.

---------------⊹₊⋆.˚୨୧⋆.˚₊ ⊹---------------The little red head could not countain her excitment when stepping on the London Quiditch Stadium for her very first Summer Camp as a witch. She was surprised but mostly in awe when admiring the snowy landswcapes surrounding her. Sure she knew magic, but her mother, though she was a great witch, mostly used house keeping magic at the farm. The magic unraveling in front of Elena's eyes was way beyond what she was used to.✧˖°.——⋆˖⁺‧₊☽❀☾₊‧⁺˖⋆——✧˖°.
The only down side for this wintery scenery was Elena's clothes : when reading the information about the camp she may have been a little impatient and missed some important facts, like the "winter" part of the Summer Camp. Her enormous bagage, weighing approximately as much as an oliphant according to the young girl, mainly countained some shorts, skirts and tank tops, with only one cardigan to get some warmth. Nevertheless the ginger girl was not feeling an ounce of cold, as she was heating up her body by hopping around and running towards anything catching her eyes.
After exploring for a bit, the girl quickly focused her attention to something that she had been thinking about since her arrival : the famous feast ! She circled around the tables, smelling the marvellous scents of different seemingly tasty meals and snacks. As she was getting started with a nice cup from the hot cocoa bar, she observed her soon-to-be fellow classmates, mingling and having fun. It was weird for Elena to see so many people her age, but the feeling was more a mix of hope and excitment than fear and shyness.
She continued her itinerary among the different dishes and food stands, meticulously picking what delicious cuisine to try next, until she felt like she was gonna explode.
Now completely full, the redhead decided it was time to get some exercise and try on the ice rink. Elena had never tried ice skating but was eager to test her skills. She put on some comfortable white skates and tested the sharpeness of the blade with her finger : they seemed brand new, which mean she would be able to skate swiftly around the rink. Not waiting any longer, Elena stepped foot on the icy ground and started chaotically moving around. The first seconds was not grand as she was trying to find her balance, putting her weight on the side railing, but she quickly got the hang of it. The girl started to take on speed, feeling the fresh breeze in her hair. The girl did not expect it to feel that nice and greatly enjoyed the activity. Being more confident step after step, the girl decided to attempt some figures ; feeling like she was able to do anything, even fly without a broom, the girl jumped into the air while rotating, feeling the weight of her body disappearing. The lending quickly brought her back to reality as she lost all control of her speed and movements, and went crashing on the railing before ending, rear-end first, on the cold ice.

| Now she couldn't help the laugh that came out. It was the good kind, the one that helped her loosen up and feel less anxious about what to say. Lemmy talked so much that she promptly forgot how awkward it was to get to know people for the first time. There was no doubt her cheeks would hurt from smiling after today. It had been a long time since she felt that pain. "Look at you go!" Alyssea cheered as Lemmy glided forward. One glide turned into two and two turned into a few more as he travelled across the ice. The difference between her and Lemmy when it came to skating for the first time was that Lemmy was unafraid. It took Alyssea multiple sessions to get her groove because she had been afraid to fall. Lemmy was already sailing ahead with the basics! When he ended up nearing the center of the rink, she followed suit, lest he had to figure out how to get back to the wall on his own. What good was a mentor if they only left their students to the wolves? "You did really good! As for turning, you might find it a bit scary. Watch me for a second." Alyssea hummed as she skated a few paces forward and then shifted her weight to one leg. The other leg drifted in a semi-circle across the ice as she let it guide her new direction. When she almost hit the three-sixty-degree turn to face Lemmy again, she shifted her weight to the other side and balanced it out. Her knees wobbled. Turning was one of her least favourite skills, despite being very important. "There are other techniques that get you to fully lift your leg off, which is scarier," she chuckled, "I'll guide you to the wall myself. Just take my hands." Just as she was heading back to Lemmy, a voice called out to them. There was a red-haired girl on the ice, which Alyssea could only guess she didn't know the technique to getting up. She skated between them. "You alright? The ice hurts the first time, but it gets better later. You gotta kneel like you're gonna propose to someone and then push up from that knee." Alyssea got down to demonstrate, having one leg at a ninety-degree angle and her other leg's shin grazing the ice. Then, she put both her hands on her bent knee and pushed back up in one fluid motion, repositioning her center of gravity again. "It's risky for me to help, but if you can't do it, I'll try." Though she had to focus on two people, annoyance wasn't scratching at the back of her head. Instead, content sat on her shoulders. Today was definitely a good day. |

She should've just gone to a quiet table, sat down, and eaten in peace and quiet, but noooooooooo, she had to talk that shit about the tourist. As a stall, she looked down at her Korvapuusti and picked a piece of ann shoved in her mouth as she was starting to go a bit pink with embarrassment.
She knew she couldn't stall forever and finally started to try to speak but this was also proving to be a disaster. She understood English quite well because it was spoken in her classes, but she never really spoke it. She was always very quiet in class, never volunteering to be called on because she wasn't comfortable speaking it. "Minä menen..." I go to she began before trailing off, realizing she was speaking the wrong language and going redder by the minute. "Vybachte, ya ydu do, ni... chort," Sorry, my name is, no... shit no, wrong again, she was now beet red but she finally managed to get some words out in broken English with a thick Finnish accent, "Sorry... I no speak English often..." She took a deep breath before she managed to say, "My name... is... Anichka. I go to Durmstrang." It was clearly very difficult for her and the looked on her face made it clear she wished she could vanish on the spot.Interacting: @Colby Vilder, @Mylo Atkins

Sere couldn't hide her surprise at the time she entered the London Quidditch Stadium. She is like an ant in a vast field. However, it's not only about how large the stadium is that amazed her, but also the concept of Summer Camp which is so perfectly designed. It's winter in July!
This is her first time attending Summer Camp. Sere lied to her family about the obligation to attend Summer Camp. Actually, Sere Nade's thoughts remain the same, that an event like this is not suitable for someone as stiff as her. But as much as this kind of event unsuitable for Sere, her current oppressed home condition is the most unsuitable. She felt reluctant to be present near her parents for a long time. Pieces of memory in December are still clearly etched inside her head.
Sere took a deep breath, lifted her travel bag and stepped closer to one of the long tables. Opening Feast is the first event of the next around-one-month Summer Camp. Sere feels like she won't complain much about anything because starting from the most basic thing -the theme of this Summer Camp- is the season she likes the most, Winter. So, the whole month is basically already fulfilled with things that she likes, right?
Sere chooses a bowl of fresh vegetables salad, a dish she hates the most but she has to put it into her body for the health matter, sat on one of the bench, and ate it. The grassy taste of the vegetables she doesn't like is really decreased by the quality of the vegetables itself, plus there are so much to see around her. So many people were walking here and there, some going into their tents, some chatting, others playing with the snow, and various other activities that really attract Sere's attention.
I hope this is gonna be the start of an exciting month.Interacting with : I'm going solo![]()

xxxxxThe first day of camp was a strange one with the heat of the London sun quite unlike what Gellert was used to and the snow that reminded him of home. There was a beautiful meaning to it somewhere as he always hoped there would be. However, for now all he desired was a cold drink and good food that reminded him of home. There were many people already here eating, so he took an empty spot and grabbed some of the food available as well as a cold drink rather than hot chocolate and began his methodical consumption of his food, by methodical, it was ravishing. It was all a rush to him in this new place with the sight of new people he never met before and the sight of heat mixing with the snow. It was making him very nervous, very nauseous indeed. he had come to summer camp with one focus in mind but he did not know if he could even stay here anymore. On the first day, he was already overwhelmed by the sights and the sounds and he dare not stay any longer or he felt like he was going to explode. However, he sat down and ate like everyone else and perhaps was waiting for someone to notice he needed help.
