Such a dangerous sport
Raine watched from the sidelines in the Gryffindor seats of the Quidditch pitch, her hands clenched as she watched her best friend fly through the air. She wanted him to have fun. She wanted him and his house to win. She wanted him to experience what it was like to be strong and have a sense of accomplishment from a group activity.
But she damn sure didn't want bloody bludgers being shot in his direction!
Gasping again as another bludger nearly missed Arc, Raine gritted her teeth. She knew she wouldn't act upon it, but she wanted to hex the mess out of Marcia Kingsleigh. How dare she target her best friend?! When Slytherin scored the first goal, Raine groaned right along with the other Ravenclaws and a mingle of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. Some members of the other two houses had bets going on, she was sure, which was why some were rooting for Slytherin to win, but Raine was hoping for Ravenclaw's victory. Arc deserved this victory.
Watching closely, the Gryffindor saw the Snitch close by and wanted to yell out where it was located to the Ravenclaw Seeker, River Dewlight, but she knew that would be cheating and chose to stay quiet instead. Man, if she had only been in Ravenclaw, she would have caught that Snitch already. She was sure of it. She was the only one to cheer and clap when Arc went to grab for the quaffle twice, even though he lost the chance to fully grab and hold onto it to his teammate. But it didn't matter. Ravenclaw had scored and had tied the game!
Raine smiled and continued to cheer for her friend, hoping that he would be able to grab the quaffle and make a goal for his team.
