]The nurse could be heard loudly sighing as the door opened, the older Hufflepuff helping Primrose laughing at the reaction as they dropped her off in one of the beds; the poor Gryffindor she had pulled down the stairs with her earlier being placed in the bed next to her as the two older boys that had helped them waved her off and went to their respective classes. Primrose winced as she tried to straighten her leg, small tears in the corners of her eyes as she tried to sit more comfortably.
''Falling really is your specialty, isn't it- Miss Edwards?'' The nurse sighed, worry in her eyes as she helped the Gryffindor student next to her sit properly. A pout on Primrose face as she looked away from the woman, embarrassed beyond belief.
''No, My specialty are fluffy creatures...despite it's normally Louis fault I fall! He keeps tripping me or scaring me!'' She whined, leaning back with a 'humph'. She couldn't blame the older Gryffindor now though, her cousin had been in class when she had been walking up the stairs with two upper-classmen, asking if it truly was worth reading ahead in her potions book- it was honestly her weakest subject of all time. Then a painting had made a snide comment, earning a snide remark back and Primrose not really focusing on walking up the stairs- leading to her sadly loosing her footing and falling backwards; bringing another student down with her as she fell down. She was grateful the other students were there, lord knows if they would've been able to get to the Hospital Wing on their own like this.
The entire way here she had been apologizing, she felt awful. Normally her tripping on her own feet didn't hurt anyone else, sure they'd fall but getting hurt? Nope, never happened. Primrose was nervously biting down on her lower lip as she winced once more when she tried to move her leg again.
''I'm seriously sorry! Honestly, one hundred percent sorry!'' She pleaded with the Gryffindor, putting her hands together in an almost praying-pose. ''Please forgive me, I really didn't mean to!'' The Nurse sent her a look, the 'you are being way too loud' look.
''I swear I'm going to have to harass the herbology teacher because of you soon Miss Edwards! All my materials are running out!'' She barked, walking away from their beds to greet another student and get him in a bed.
Primrose rolled her eyes at the nurse, focusing once more on the student.
''Are you okay? Nothing broken, right? I'll uh- get someone to hex me! Turn me into a ferret! Just please tell me you aren't like- hating me right now!'' She was pleading at this point.

[quote]Marla Quinlan was furious. Why, you ask? Because this complete utter fool dragged her down the flipping stairs when she fell! And the Gryffindor had a test today!
It all started when she was walking to Astronomy class. It was a good day so far. Sunny, beautiful, and she was minding her own business when this poor girl fell. Marla stood in place, not knowing what to do, and before she knew it, the Hufflepuff had grasped onto her robes, dragging the redhead down with her.
And now, she was sitting in the infirmary. The place she hated most out of everywhere in Hogwarts. Because of a stupid. Girl. Marla's eyes that were usually brown with a golden hue, were now dark, almost crimson. This all reminded her of a conversation that she had with a friend around a month ago in the abandoned bathrooms. Emile Yorke. He had explained to her that one time he fell down the stairs as well and had to go to the infirmary and hated it. Marla could say the same. Not only that, this most definitely wasn't the Hufflepuff's first time getting hurt at Hogwarts. The nurse seemed like she was sick of... Miss Edwards coming into the infirmary. Miss Edwards, huh? Marla didn't know her first name, so she supposed that she'd call her that.
''I'm seriously sorry! Honestly, one hundred percent sorry!'' Miss Edwards urged, pressing her hands together like her life depended on it. Marla turned away from "Miss Edwards" and rolled her eyes before turning back to her. The last thing Marla wanted to hear was the desperate screams from a dorky Hufflepuff. 'Please forgive me, I really didn't mean to!'' It seemed the nurse agreed with Marla, since she gave Miss Edwards a look of impatience, telling her to lower her voice.
"Its... Fine." Marla spoke with her teeth gritted so tight that you could see the bones in her jaw. The Hufflepuff did, in fact, seem like a nice girl, and in any ordinary circumstances Marla would probably enjoy the girl's company, but god, was she being overbearing.
''Are you okay? Nothing broken, right? I'll uh- get someone to hex me! Turn me into a ferret! Just please tell me you aren't like- hating me right now!'' Miss Edwards rambled on, and on, and on, and.. On, and... You get it. Marla was trying to wait until this Miss Edwards got tired of speaking, but that didn't seem to be working. And so, she responded to shut the girl up.
"I'm fine. My wrist hurts a little but other than that, nothing bad. There's no need for you to get hexed, turned into a ferret. And I don't hate you." She said the last part with the smallest smile possible if you could even call it that. The most it was were the corner of her lips being slightly upturned. "Plus, I should be asking if you're okay. You took the brunt of the fall." She reasoned in an attempt to calm the Hufflepuff down.
"Anyways, I'm Marla Quinlan." The small Gryffindor introduced as she played with her small golden necklace, her eyes starting to revert back to their original color as her anger watered down a little.

The Gryffindor seemed as furious as Primrose expected her to, causing the girl to flinch a little when the girl looked away.@Marla Quinlan
"Its... Fine."The forced words caused her skin to crawl and for a second she felt like she might as well be eaten by the earth itself, only to perk up slightly when a less uh- forced answer came her way.
''It doesn't look well- sprained badly from here..believe me I'd know'' The last part was nothing more than a whisper to herself as she cleared her throat, straightening her back, only to wince and look down at her leg that was already starting to change in it's color. That wasn't good. ''Check if you can move all your fingers though, for uh- safety sake?'' She sent a nervous smile. Primrose let the one hand that didn't hurt go through her hair, it needed to be redone completely that's for sure.
"Anyways, I'm Marla Quinlan."The words clearly made the young Hufflepuff cheer up, as she sent a big happy smile to the Gryffindor.
''Primrose Edwards! I'd shake your hand but, if I try to get up from here I'm pretty sure I'd fall...and I don't want to hurt your wrist more'' She rubbed the back of her neck, the nurse returning with annoyed muttering under her breath.
''Well, Miss Edwards. It looks like you once more will have to drink this'' The nurse placed the god-awful drink on the table next to her bed- and one could clearly see the color drain from Primrose face.
''They taste awful though, why can't we just let it heal on it's own?'' She begged, the nurse shaking her head. Muttering something about Primrose Potions grade most likely not handling that much. True, but also she was getting the feeling this nurse was tired of Primrose whining about her potions homework when she got hurt all the time. Hint taken.
''And you Miss. Quinlan.'' The nurse turned to the Gryffindor, carefully taking her hand and looking it over- moving it every now and again with much care. ''I'm going to put this under wrap, just to make sure it's stable. Magic can do a lot but for now you just need to rest your wrist as much as possible. If it still hurts tomorrow, come on back to me and I'll see if I don't have something for it- but it's most likely just pain from the fall and some bruising that will for sure appear.'' Every word caused Primrose to pale more than the liquid she was trying to force herself to drink with her healthy hand.
''I feel awful'' She muttered, looking at the girl with nothing but regret. She had really messed up this time, oh god what if she was a quidditch player? Weren't all Gryffindors super into sports?

[quote]Confirming Marla's theory about Miss Edwards' clumsiness, she mentioned knowing how it felt to sprain a wrist. For this Hufflepuff, she's probably broken both wrists at least ten times. That's an understatement. Maybe twenty. Either way, Marla had never seen a person this clutzy. Not even another Hufflepuff. But then again, her grandmother was a Hufflepuff and acted nothing like one. Elegant and cunning like a snake, but somehow her grandmother was a badger. Marla's grandmother was god awful though, and weren't Hufflepuffs supposed to be nice and calm? The Huffle-hag that she had to call part of her family was this close to being a Death Eater. Ugh.
"Check if you can move all your fingers though, for uh- safety sake?" Miss Edwards suggested. Marla nodded and wiggled her pointer finger a little. There was a pain in her fingers, but it wasn't agonizing. Uncomfortable, nonetheless. At least she hadn't broken anything. The last time Marla seriously injured herself was when she was around seven when she broke her arm and couldn't participate in gym for months. And that was the only tolerable thing in her school. Not only that, but her family, who were, in fact, wizards, didn't even fix her arm for her! How outrageous was that? She could've mended her arm in seconds but nooo. The poor Gryffindor just had to have a weird hard paper mache mold of her arm keeping it in place for three months. Isn't that just spectacular?
"Ehm... It hurts but not too bad. Probably'll be fine in a week or so." She said after a while of silence, and moved herself to the side of the bed, letting her small legs hang from the edge. She kicked her feet in the air, evidently bored, and clicked her tongue. There wasn't very much to do in the infirmary, which made sense, but that didn't mean it wasn't inconvenient.
And eventuallyβΒ no, finally, Marla could stop calling Miss Edwards, well.. Miss Edwards, because she introduced herself as Primrose. A beautiful name it was, and it fit the girl quite well. She had beautiful curls in her hair that were once delicate but now was a complete mess due to the fall from earlier. Either way, she was strikingly pretty. With greyish blue eyes that could take someone aback and lashes that matched. Marla honestly felt a little insecure next to the Hufflepuff. She had awful frizzy red hair and brown eyes that were so boring that if you looked into them for two seconds you'd probably fall asleep.
'Well, Miss Edwards. It looks like you once more will have to drink this.'' The nurse said, disappointment laced into her tone of voice. Marla could definitely see why the nurse was annoyed. If the same person kept on coming into her infirmary over and over again? She'd be annoyed too. But Marla sort of pitied Primrose, especially because as soon as she spotted the drink in front of her, the Hufflepuffs' once lively face almost looked corpse-like.
''They taste awful though, why can't we just let it heal on it's own?'' Marla made eye contact with the nurse as she shook her head, giving her the 'how do you deal with this all the time?' look. But it did suck that Primrose had to drink that. Marla could smell the damn thing from her bed. It was like rubbing alcohol mixed with rotten eggs. She covered her nose tightly to block out the smell, but somehow it still wafted up her nose anyhow. It was disgusting, Marla was just hoping that Primrose would down it quickly so the infirmary didn't smell rancid anymore.
"And you, Miss. Quinlan," The redhead jumped when the nurse had said her name. She grabbed Marla's hand, examining it and turning it every now and again, "I'm going to put this under wrap, just to make sure it's stable. Magic can do a lot but for now you just need to rest your wrist as much as possible. If it still hurts tomorrow, come on back to me and I'll see if I don't have something for it- but it's most likely just pain from the fall and some bruising that will for sure appear." Marla raised a brow, finding that ridiculous. She read a book one time about healing spells just a month ago, there must've been something she could do! Maybe the nurse could perform Episkey on her wrist and it would help? The small Gryffindor sighed in defeat, knowing that the nurse would have done Episkey, or any other healing spell for that matter, if it would help the girl out.
"Uhm.. Alright. Thank you." She murmured, giving Primrose the most subtle stink eye ever. But soon enough she regretted doing that as she analyzed the Hufflepuff's face. It was riddled with guilt, and Marla was just making it worse. She didn't want to bring Marla down the stairs with her. Hell, she didn't want to fall down the stairs at all! A stabbing feeling in her gut occurred when Primrose muttered, "I feel awful," to which Marla gave her a small smile.
"At least I get to skip astronomy now." The redhead joked, giving Primrose a nonchalant shrug in an attempt to make her feel better about the situation.

Primrose almost gagged when she forced the potion down her throat, her entire face scrunching up as if she had eaten a lemon. The potion bottle were firmly placed on the table next to the bed with a smaller slam as she tried to fight through the need to shake her entire body from pure disgust.
''Maybe you will learn to not, do this if you get to drink this enough, hm?'' The nurse gave her a look from across the room. The Hufflepuff glared back, a little bit jokingly as she shrugged.
''Tell them to make the stairs stop moving and the robes shorter and maybe I will?'' She grinned only to wince as she felt something most likely shift correctly into her body. She pulled a slightly sore hand through her hair, fixing the mess the best she could in the reflection of whatever metal thing was next to the beds currently. ''Well, could be worse'' she sighed.
Primrose quite wished she could be pretty without trying, something she felt the lucky Gryffindor next to her did quite well. Good genes must absolutely run in the girls family, something prim decided when she looked the girl over curiously as the nurse helped her. There was something familiar to the girl however, she might as well have seen a relative of hers around- most students had siblings running around like no tomorrow. Or Louis had picked on the poor thing, or helped her- both was just as likely with that arse. She leaned back onto her bed with a huff, stuck in her self-pity until the girls voice caused her to be brought back to reality.
"At least I get to skip astronomy now."
Primrose looked at Marla with a confused look that quickly formed into joy and then a melodious laughter escaping Prim as she tried to cover her mouth and not laugh.
''That's something, I suppose. And maybe, just maybe this nice nurse here could convince the potions teacher to cut me some slack?'' She fluttered her eyes at the nurse jokingly who simply scoffed with a small smile and shook her head.
''If you keep whining about that potions class of yours whenever you come here, I may just ask the professor to give you extra works- Miss Edwards.'' That shut her up as she sent a stink eye to the nurse but returned to smiling quickly.
''I've never really been that good at Astronomy, are you good at it?'' She curiously asked Marla, she was very curious about this slightly familiar girl. She must've seen her in the corridors or maybe a connected class? Quidditch? Who knew!
The nurse carefully wrapped Marla's hand, giving the gryffindor a pat on the back before noticing a Slytherin student trying to sneak someone out- quickly rushing to scold the two.

[quote]Marla grimaced as she had to watch Primrose gulp the healing potion down. That looked and smelled absolutely terrible. And the poor girl had to taste that. Ugh.
"How did you not throw up while drinking that? It's quite remarkable, actually." She said, genuinely impressed. There was no way in hell Marla would be able to stomach that. She'd die before having to chug that monstrosity of a potion. It literally smelled like rotting death.
And soon enough, it seemed like the Hufflepuff and Gryffindor were bonding. Marla had mentioned that she would at least miss astronomy, to which Primrose let out a laugh to. Was it funny? The redhead wasn't exactly joking, she was happy about missing a class, but the blonde's laugh was quite contagious, and Marla found herself laughing with the girl.
"That's something, I suppose. And maybe, just maybe this nice nurse here could convince the potions teacher to cut me some slack?" Primrose joked, batting her eyelashes at the nurse, who shook her head humorously. Even though the nurse seemed a bit annoyed that the Hufflepuff was there all the time, it seemed like the two had a bond. So maybe it was a good thing that the girl always got hurt? Well, not good. Something good came out of it though.
"If you keep whining about that potions class of yours whenever you come here, I may just ask the professor to give you extra works- Miss Edwards." The nurse threatened, to which Primrose simply rolled her eyes. This made Marla let out a small laugh. They were like one of those really cheesy comedies that you'd see on TV in the sixties or something.
''I've never really been that good at Astronomy, are you good at it?' The Hufflepuff eventually asked.
"Pssh. No." Marla simply responded, followed by a small snicker. She was honestly terrible at the subject. And even though she liked her professor, most classes were a little boring. Though sometimes in astronomy it was outstanding. Like that one time in class where they looked at the stars and there were about a million. That, she'd never forget. But most of it, she would.
"And what about you? Any classes you prefer?"

"How did you not throw up while drinking that? It's quite remarkable, actually."
Primrose looked at the Gryffindor with a shrug.
''My mums side of the family are wand-makers and potioneers, I've had to drink a lot of weird stuff when I was sick. My auntie Evanora would insist these awful potions smelling like mud were great for colds...I never noticed a difference though'' Primrose muttered with a grimace, just remembering the taste made her insides turn. No, the girl had quite the stomach because of her family; her mother doing one hell of a job teaching her daughter to at least try everything once- as long as it wasn't lethal or something of course.
''It's all 'bout drinking it fast enough to not feel the taste really? Or just hoping that uh- it doesn't come back up'' A cheeky smile appeared on her face as she carefully put her legs over the side of the bed, yelping slightly from how much it actually hurt.
''Bloody hell, Primrose why do you do this to yourself'' She muttered, glaring at her knee.
"Pssh. No." The snicker made Primrose look up, happy someone else had a difficulty with the subject. There were some subjects Primrose were amazing at; that one however? Not so much.
"And what about you? Any classes you prefer?" Now that was a hard question, the words spinning in her head as she pondered; just what classes did she actually prefer.
''I like Charms, as well as defense against dark arts- even if I'm a bit all over the place sometimes, the classroom just has too many cool things for me to ignore!'' Primrose reached for the potion bottle on the table, giving it to the nurse who accepted with a rather low thank you, smiling as she walked over to dispose of it. ''Herbology is super fun too, as well as flying although it absolutely terrifies me! Humans shouldn't be that high up in the sky, I'm telling ya.''
''What about you? Aren't most Gryffindors quite sporty and stuff? Though, if you are like a saint and miracle in potions I would love some guidance'' Her potions skills were less than fun, her clumsy self often causing more than one accident when she actually entered the classroom- now if that was a big or small classroom entirely depended on the day and what house she shared the lesson with.

[quote]Marla grinned widely as the Hufflepuff explained her family. All of them were potioneers and whatnot, which the Gryffindor found absolutely, positively, freaking awesome. Marla didn't even know what her parents did, her mother was out of the picture and she never really talked to her father, she never was very interested in what he did career-wise until now. What sucked about Primrose's situation was that she had to try a bunch of gross stuff. Marla was most definitely not up for that. No thanks. Marla was adventurous, but... Not that much.
"It's all 'bout drinking it fast enough to not feel the taste really? Or just hoping that uh- it doesn't come back up" The Hufflepuff suggested with a nonchalant smile. The small Gryffindor was unsure if she should laugh or grimace in disgust... But went with the latter. She let out a small giggle in response to the other's positivity, laughing even harder when Primrose murmured, ''Bloody hell, Primrose why do you do this to yourself.''
And speaking of why people did things to themselves, for some reason, the two girls had lead their conversation to discussing schoolwork. Urgh. The young Gryffindor's worst nightmare.
''I like Charms, as well as defense against dark arts- even if I'm a bit all over the place sometimes, the classroom just has too many cool things for me to ignore!'' Primrose had responded with an almost unnatural amount of enthusiasm. Marla liked all of her classes, but they could get repetitive after a while. She just wanted to get to the classes where they could explode things and begin dueling. Now that would make Hogwarts ten times better.
"Idunno. All the classes are great but they have their downsides." Marla reasoned with a shrug. Soon enough, Primrose had gotten onto the topic of flying, which caught Marla's ear. Flying? How could one be scared of flying? Okayβ actually, that was a reasonable fear. But for the Gryffindor? She was never scared of flying. It was absolutely amazing. And it was as if she was meant to fly, or play quidditch, because in a Gryffindor scavenger hunt earlier, the first thing she found was a broom! That wasn't a coincidence, it was a sign that she needed to get on the field. Not to mention, Marla would be a wicked seeker.
"What about you? Aren't most Gryffindors quite sporty and stuff? Though, if you are like a saint and miracle in potions I would love some guidance," Primrose had asked. Not all Gryffindors were sporty, but she was about right. Most of them were very... Intense. Brash. Headstrong. All things that were very common in athletes and Marla was no exception. She wanted to be on the quidditch team so bad that it hurt, and during flying lessons, she'd even pretend that she was searching for the snitch, or getting chased by a bludger.
"Most of us are sporty. Some of 'em are weird, though. I'm not gonna lie to you," she joked with a smile,"I'm not amazing at potions, but I've gotten a few O's in it and nothing's exploded on me yet, if you ever need help." Marla offered gladly with a smile. In the beginning of the year, she had nobody to go to when she was confused about class. If Primrose was having in trouble in school, Marla might as well try to be the guide that she never had.

[font=Arial Narrow]"Idunno. All the classes are great but they have their downsides."@Marla Quinlan
Well, that was true she supposed. Primrose herself had to say some were worse than others though, her face clearly displaying the comment put her pretty deep in thought before she decides to just leave the topic be. No need to get a headache considering the pros and cons of every subject on Hogwarts, that's the headmasters job.
"Most of us are sporty. Some of 'em are weird, though. I'm not gonna lie to you,"
Primrose let out a laugh, now THAT was true.
''Not to be mean, but that's true. You lot are stuck with my cousin, and he is weird enough for all of you'' The hufflepuff stated with a grin, she had more than once ended up trying to pass by a Gryffindor or two setting up an odd prank or having a really odd argument- and being the 'typical hufflepuff' according to her friends, she simply couldn't let arguments or misdeeds go by. It was a mixed bag of what the results of her meddling varied greatly.
"I'm not amazing at potions, but I've gotten a few O's in it and nothing's exploded on me yet, if you ever need help."
Primrose looked as if she had hit jackpot, her face lighting up right away as she leaned forward; once gain flinching from the pain on her leg but trying to ignore it.
''You'd really do that? That'd be so nice! I am awful with potions and honestly I'd loove some help'' If she had known that falling down the moving stairs would bring her an angel of miracles and potions she would've done so earlier! The extremely dark bruising on her knee was starting to die down, her leg feeling better as the potion did it's thing. The Nurse may give her nasty things but they worked for extremely awful sprains and breakage...she was pretty sure something was not okay in her body when she got here but- meh.

Left, Right And Down
Marla jumped as Primrose began to laugh. Having a few weird Gryffindors.. It was a bit funny, yes, but sadly true. Most of them were nice but Marla couldn't really bring herself to talk to them. They all just... Skeeved her out. Ugh.
''Not to be mean, but that's true. You lot are stuck with my cousin, and he is weird enough for all of you'' Primrose joked, which Marla let out a small giggle to. She knew how that one felt. Her cousin, Rowan, was one of the feistiest and mischievous Hufflepuffs she's ever met. Maybe it was a tradeoff? Primrose had to deal with Rowan, and Marla had to deal with her cousin.
"You have to deal with my cousin then! And he's a handful. Set off a dungbomb under each bed in the Hufflepuff dorm last year apparently. Good luck with that bloke. Mental, he is.." She said, a smile tugging at her lips as she spoke. Rowan was insane, but she loved him. He always knew how to cheer her up. Specifically, one time after she'd gotten yelled at for sneaking out into the backyard at night to play in the rain, and the next day he actually made her cookies. It was a small gesture, but all the little things added up and the two ended up having a great friendship.
After Marla had mentioned that she would help Primrose out with potions, her eyes went so wide that she looked almost deer-like.
''You'd really do that? That'd be so nice! I am awful with potions and honestly I'd loove some help.'' Marla gave her a shrug and a nod. It wouldn't hurt to help a fellow student in need, especially one that she liked. It did suck that Marla's wrist was hurt, and she did scrape her hands a little... But through missing class, at least she made a kind-of friend? Primrose was nice, funny, and quite different. It would be a shame if they didn't cross paths again.
"I should probably get going. Infirmary's filling up already and the nurse might need the bed.. But it was nice meeting you. Owl me any time if you need help with your subjects." Marla said with a smile as she hopped off the mattress and went for the door.
