Veda picked up her trunk and groaned. She was not an active kid, never was. She was great at all classes in school, muggle school, she corrected herself, except for Physical Education. She looked around, and looked down at her ticket. She did it again. There is no platform 93/4s here. As soon as Veda was about to leave, thinking to ask a security guard and most likely make a fool out of herself, she caught a glimpse of a robe. "Mom! Over here!" Veda said, then looked at the witch just before they disappeared into a pillar.
"Did you find it?" her mom asked. Veda nodded and headed to the pillar, glancing around nervously. Then cautiously, she stuck her hand right at it. It sunk through the pillar, disappearing. Veda's eyes widened, and she quickly pulled her hand out. It was still intact. Here goes nothing, She thought. She grabbed her moms hand, and before she could think twice, she ran into the pillar. Except it wasn't exactly a pillar. It was a gateway.
There was a giant train with writing on the side called the Hogwarts Express. Veda looked around and saw tons of witches and wizards hopping on the train, hugging their parents, and looking for their lost luggage. She accidentally locked eyes with a girl her age, but quickly looked away. Her mom was just in awe.

Venus was so excited since the last month, as her journey of school was to be started. She was to meet new people for the first time and maybe make a few or lot of friends.
I hope I'll be able to make a good impression to the people I'm about to meet!
Venus was standing by her Father while her mother was busy coaxing her elder brother Edward, who was just a year older than her. She was both excited and nervous. Venus was hoping to be sorted into the house of Slytherin as the other people of her family. By this time her mother came to her and hugged her while her father patted her on head.
Her brother was gone by now, seeing his friends calling him. He had already taken his seat, bidding bye to their parents.
Venus was standing in the midst of the crowd, getting ready to get up on Hogwarts express, start her magical journey.
She had bed bye and when she was about to get in, on the train she looked at a girl, who was also looking at her and then the latter looked away.
She might be a first year too.. she looks a bit confused!
Venus did not delay further and got up in the train.
She found her brother, her brother introduced Venus to his friends and then Venus departed towards other compartments, which were empty.
She found the girl who she had seen in the platform.
Ah! I must try to befriend her!
Venus took a deep breath and got in the compartment.
Hey! If you don't mind then may I have a seat here?
Venus tried to say in a steady voice, though she was nervous.

After a bit, Veda's mom finally let go of their hug and bid her goodbye. Veda boarded the train and found an empty compartment. She wanted to make friends, but she didn't want to make the first move. That happened a lot in Veda's life. She didn't have friends at school because of that, nor met her other family members on her mom's side. Well, that might be because her mom didn't talk to them after getting married to her dad. Veda quickly shook that thought out of her head. Not time to get mad at him now.
Just as she was about to open up a book, Veda heard a voice and looked up. "Hey! If you don't mind then may I have a seat here?" the girl she met glances earlier said. Veda grinned inside. No making the first move it seems.
"Sure, go ahead!" she said, trying not so show her excitement. "My name's Veda, what's yours?"she asked shyly. Veda never had met a girl her age that was a witch. Hopefully there wasn't like a bow or something you had to do to greet them, or she just screwed everything up. Veda set her book back in her bag and waited for the girl to answer her.

Venus sat next to Veda keeping her trunk on the bunk and adjusting her other luggages in the suitable places, while Veda sat waiting for Venus to introduce herself.
Nice to meet you Veda! I'm Venus, Venus Emerald Frost. I wonder if you're well acquainted about the Wizarding World? I saw you struggling to process things going on in the platform. I suppose you are a muggle born? Correct me if I am wrong.(said Venus politely and in a overly curious tone while still managing to keep a smile for she didn't want to create a bad impression of herself. She hoped that she wasn't being a creep.)
Venus waited patiently for Veda to reply, hoping that she had not said something rude or offensive to her new friend...
I hope that I've not scared her or offended her...
Venus could hear the train's whistle blow just then and realised they were heading towards Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, the school where all her ancestors had been to.

Veda smiled, not offended by Venus's questioning. Then she jumped, startled by the train moving. No going back now, I'm stuck on this train,she thought. "Well, I consider myself a muggleborn. My father was a wizard, but he left me with my mom before I was born. I don't count him as part of the family, so I don't count myself mentally as a half-blood. I know I am technically one, but still," Veda rambled, then blushed and cursed herself. Way to trauma dump on a girl you barely know!
Though it was true. Veda was a really kind girl. She had compassion and empathy for everyone. Well, everyone but her dad, Woods. She resented him. Veda quickly got rid of those thoughts for the second time today.
Anyway, uh, what about you? Muggle born or Pureblood or Halfblood? She asked, scratching the back of her neck. Gosh she was so awkward.

Venus realised that Veda's life was not easy unlike Venus's. Though Venus had passed much trauma and problems, but it was nothing compared to Veda.
Venus felt extreme empathy for Veda.
Poor Veda! How rude life is to her!
Venus smiled at Veda gently and nodded softly, she thought to not go further in the topic as she could see Veda loathing on her father. How rude it is of the cruel man! He left his to be born's mother and his child alone in the dark!
Veda then asked,"Anyway, uh, what about you? Muggle born or Pureblood or Halfblood?"
Venus half smiled while answering to this inquiry of Veda's.
"I'm a Pure-blood Veda..", said Venus still feeling much empathy for Veda.
So do you know about the house system in Hogwarts? All my family members have been Slytherin. Probably I'll be one too!
Said Venus in a startled voice, not being able to think of anything she could talk about with Veda..
Venus waited for Veda to answer hoping that she hadn't said anything hurtful to the latter..
