Boys Aren't That Scary

Alliasta had gone out into the courtyard to get some fresh air. She loved this place. There were a lot of people around and they were all talking to each other, smiling and having fun. Other people's laughter had always felt peaceful to the girl.
But there was another problem, there were too many boys here... I mean, Alliasta was friendly to everyone, and talking to girls she didn't know didn't seem scary at all. Because she had a large family and that's why she could socialize easily. But the only problem is the boys. Alliasta had always had a hard time actually talking to boys.
Alliasta was very close with her male cousins, but this only applies to her cousins. The girl was thinking to herself why she had such a problem. Suddenly she bumped into someone. She immediately raised her head to apologize. Oh she bumped a boy. Alliasta's face turned red and she just stood there, not knowing what to do. The boy was around the girl's age and was a Slytherin boy. But she realized her mistake and immediately shook her head and came to her senses. And she felt he had to apologize to the boy.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't looking ahead! I really didn't mean to hit you. I just, um... uhm."

It had been a normal day for Klynn. He had his lessons, read in the libarary, took a walk around the grounds. A nice relaxing day. He'd had words with some of the few friends he felt he had, and then was content to sit with a book in the courtyard. He had recently received a new book from his Aunt who, while was going to get him a new muggle book at the start of each school year, got him this one as a congratulations on getting through first year. This one: Jurassic Park.
He had only just started it and was halfway through chapter 1 as he was walking with it in hand. Suddenly he felt someone walk into him causing him to stagger back a bit and drop his book in the process. After getting his footing back, he shot a glare at the person in front of him which only softened as she let out an apology. He sighed as he picked his book up.
"It's fine. My book is undamaged and I am unharmed. Now- are you okay? Your face is bright red."
He spoke in his usual monotone voice, uncaring that he may sound either sarcastic or harsh. He awaited the girl's response and hoped he wouldn't have to deal with an unwell student in front of him.

Alliasta swallowed hard when the boy looked at her sternly, but then she was relieved to see the boy's gaze soften. The boy's voice sounded a little harsh to the girl, but Alliasta thought she deserved it.
She became even more tensed when she heard the boy asking her a question and that this was especially the case with her blushing. Normally talking shouldn't be this hard, but now it's not like that. But Alliasta swallowed one last time and then began to speak.
"I'm sorry, I'm just not used to talking to boys, especially those close to my own age."
Her voice was a little low when she spoke, but even speaking gave the girl courage. Then Alliasta realized she hadn't introduced herself. She spoke louder with a smile.
"I'm Alliasta, Alliasta Karin Holista! I just graduated to my second year. I guess you're my age too, right?"
Alliasta took this time to examine the boy. The boy had pale skin. Her eyes were amber, just like one of Alliasta's eyes. This caught Alliasta's attention, she loved his eyes. His hair looked blonder because of the sun. Alliasta looked away, feeling like she was examining the boy too much. Then she made eye contact again, waiting for his answers.

Klynn's eyebrow arched upon hearing that the cause of the girl, now known as Alliasta Holista, blushing was due to him being a boy and she can't talk to them. He was confused, how is that a reason to blush so much she looks like she's about to go: Boom!
He released a sigh and looked back at her. "I see, well, my name is Klynn Seacrown, a pleasure. To answer your question, yes, we're in the same year."
Klynn held his blank look as he observed the girl in front of him. He noted her pale skin, similar to his, and her black hair. Howver, what he took note of the most was her eyes. They were heterochromatic, one being blue and the other being amber. Ironic, the amber was the exact same shade and colour as his colour contacts, while her other eye was the same colour as his natural eyes colour.
"Look, I apologise as well for bumping into you, but I was looking for a spot to sit and read my book. So, sorry for not paying attention."
He looked back at Alliasta, his blank look holding an apologetic feeling with it despite the monotone look never actually changing.

Alliasta looked gently at the boy she now knew as Klynn, her face was still red and she could feel it because it was so hot. But she didn't mind. The boy was in the same year as her, just as the girl had predicted. Weird Alliasta has never seen him around before.
Alliasta smiled a little more as she listened to Klynn's words. The boy had a really calm and monotonous facial expression. For some reason, this put Alliasta at ease. So talking to Klynn was more comforting for her. This reminded Alliasta of her cousin.
"Oh then it's good for me that this good mistake wasn't just mine! So, were you reading a book? What are you reading?"
For a moment, Alliasta thought she was being too rude.
"Oh I didn't mean to be rude! If you don't mind me asking!"
Oh why was it so hard? Okay, Alliasta took a deep breath, she just had to calm down a little. Then she opened her eyes and looked at Klynn again.
"Um, am I being too weird? If I am, I'm sorry! But it felt better talking to you!"
Alliasta was now calm. Only slight redness had left on her cheeks. But this is not weird like before. Now it is look more cute.

Klynn sighed as he saw the girl blush and slightly ramble, so he flicked her forehead to make her stop. He looked at her in exasperation, why was she so bad at this.
"Okay, let me stop you right there. Know this, I am not as scary as I look. But, if you are uncomfortable around me, but still want to talk, we can go sit down, and I can help from there."
Klynn is not a people person. He can hardly keep a conversation in a pleasant tone. But, he had one friend who basically told him to work on his people skills, and he couldn't really say no. So, he decided that he would try and make a friend in Alliasta.
He led her to an empty bench he found where he sat down and opened his book. He told her to sit down as well, and to just trust him in what his plan was. However, he didn't know if this would help, or if it would simply cause Alliasta to be scared off from him. It wouldn't be the first time someone was scared of him, but after having pleasent experiences with other individuals that were previously unknown, he secretly hoped that he'd be able to make a new friend.

When Alliasta received a flick on her forehead, she stopped further nonsense and stopped and listened to the Boy. Klynn had tolerated her as much as possible, so Alliasta stood and listened.
Alliasta was glad to hear that Klynn would help her talk to him. Yes, a little help right now would be great. She didn't want to act like this, but this girl couldn't help it. It was something in his personality. She thought men should always be dominant. This was not the case in her family, that is, her family always gave importance to women, this was a superiority status that Alliasta established for herself. Boys have always been tougher than girls. That's why the girl had such a problem in her own mind. She understood this better when she got older, but she had always been habitually shy of men.
When Klynn motioned for Alliasta to sit down, she did as he said and just sat down. She was already excited. She would have a male friend. Alliasta turned her attention to Klynn's book. Wonder what genres he liked to read. Maybe Klynn was into certain genres, just like Alliasta, and that would be incredible. One commonality between of them.
"So... what kind of books do you read? Besides, I don't think you're scary. I'm like that with every boy."Ability: Lovely Creature is in effect.
