With her books and equipment on her hand, she glanced at the seven greenhouses, each with their different shade of mossy green; some darker, some lusher, some greener. It was a cheerful Saturday afternoon, after Transfiguration. What she could think of right now is what her Transfiguration professor had lectured her about. Electrons, neutrons and protons. Trying to recall on what she'd researched about the structure of an atom, she murmured, "Protons. electrons, neutrons. P-E-N. Okay, easy enough," she then tried hard to think of the other half. Trudging along the crossy pathway of stone and half-grown grass, she mustered aloud, "R-T-C. Ernest Rutherford, protons. J.J. Thompson, electrons. And James Chadwick, neutrons. 1Good,"

Being too focused on the atomic structures, she'd banged her ankle on some weird-looking angular stone. "Dude, can't you see I'm not in the mood right-" She stopped, trying to make sense of what's happening right now. "- now, never mind," It was as if her mind went crazy. Why was she talking to a stupid stone? And to think that it was going to reply you or something, Audrey thought desperately, looking around, hoping that no one noticed her.

It was then she heard a slight squeak. Where is it from, she didn't know, but what she did know is that she was about to be late for her Herbology class, her old pink-and-white watch ticking furiously like a hare hopping around (in fact, orbiting around) the glass pane, as if it was trying to escape the hemisphere. Hurriedly, she got hold of her Herbology textbook, her wand, and all her belongings, stuffed it under her cloak, and took very big steps towards the greenhouses.

But that didn't work for Audrey.

As careless as she was, she almost hit a nearby student next to a tree, coincidentally trying to walk fast, too. She looked at her short, sort-of navy-blue hair and winced. She could tell immediately that she was also applying for Herbology as she held the same book as hers. What a coincidence indeed. She could hear her enthusiastic tone, but did not care to listen properly, for she was trying to find out which greenhouse they should go into. Her mind then went blank. Mandrakes. Dragon-hide gloves. Extinguo. Flashes of images had appeared in her mind, and being cautious enough, she opened her eyes half-heartedly, and said, "There's nothing much to learn in the first class of Herbology," Desperately hoping that the girl would listen to her words, she tried to explain, "It's probably going to be some rules and regulations, and some items that we're gonna use. Get it?" But what makes her think so? Audrey muttered. It doesn't even make any sense at all, reading the future when I'm not supposed to. Trying to avoid her blueish-black eyes (just like her hair), she felt something weird. All this time, she'd been there, quietly listening to every word Audrey had just said.

You see, many of her friends just randomly cut her train of thoughts. But this girl didn't. She just stood there, motionless. Audrey felt as if her heart was about to burst. She's just like me, Audrey thought silently. She knows what I'm thinking. She knows that I need a moment of silence.

To her, being silent represents an introvert to what other people see, but an extrovert to her mind. But again, no one would understand what she meant. No one but her.

Just then, a silent 'chirp' echoed around a certain greenhouse. Turning towards the unknown sound, she'd realised that the bird, as if it could read their minds, began circling around a lush, mossy greenhouse. Does that mean that this is their greenhouse? She knew that the other girl also felt the same way as she did. Only one way to find out. Grabbing her pale hands, she bolted towards the greenhouse in the middle. The warm wind ushered through her knees, the radiant sun shone under her black hair. "The sun," Audrey murmured. As she slowed down, Audrey gazed at the newly-found girl, both drenched in sweat and happiness. Every second with her quiet smile is like spending an eternity.

A week late!!! I'm really sorry about that Audrey, I'm going to reply fast next time ):>
Running as fast as she could under her heavy robes, Ash emerged towards the seven figures which were supposed to be the Herbology greenhouses. The visible greenery inside each of them was beautiful and charming, but not calming enough for Ash, yes, not at the moment.

She was late for her Herbology class...

After her Transfiguration class, she simply lost her way out of the castle. Ash wasn't used to a place too enormous before and thus had problems memorising the corridors and ways and all that at Hogwarts.

I'm so stupid...

And she was there, facing the seven greenhouses. Ash knew she should enter her greenhouse right away, but she foolishly stopped at a large rock protruding out of the land and leaned on it, panting. If she walked further, she would pass out, and why not, she had a whole damn heavy book adding more weight to her robes. Her eyes looked around randomly for a reasonless reason, but they stopped spotting a girl who was facing the greenhouses.

Ash wondered whether the girl was late too. She hadn't looked at her face yet since the girl was back facing her, but Ash could tell she was in the same year as her from her height, well unless she was a senior having a short height like Ash...
She still didn't have the strength to stand up and approach the girl, so she just stuck to her position and looked at the girl rather curiously. Ash saw the girl trip on a stone and talking to it, speaking something like "Dude, can't you see..."

WELL, WOW, I'M LATE FOR MY CLASS AND I'M LAYING DOWN SHAMELESSLY HERE? Ash knew she wasn't in her right mind (WHEN WAS SHE EVER IN HER RIGHT MIND—?). She just stood up and began walking towards the class, trying to divert herself from the girl.
But perhaps that wasn't going to happen.

While walking for the greenhouse, Ash almost collided with the girl and hit the tree. Bet, it would be impossible to find out whose fault it was because both of them didn't seem to be in their right mind; no, definitely not the girl after Ash'd seen her talking to a stone... And okay...? It was enough to evoke a strange amusement inside Ash.

"Uhm— hey, I didn't mean to—" Ash optimistically began apologizing for colliding with the girl, knowing it could be kind of her if she did, but the girl's words stopped her.

Oh, Ash knew her! She definitely was as same as her year, and a fellow Hufflepuff!! Of course, they'd met in the common room, the great hall, classes and everywhere, although they never really had a conversation. How foolish of Ash she didn't know her name yet.

I'M SO STUPID!!!

Internally screaming and cursing at herself but having a really calm face outside, Ash actually was listening to every single thing the girl spoke. She couldn't tell whether the girl sounded panicking or calm or gloomy or happy at the moment, it was really confusing. But she could tell that the girl seemed to have some effect on her. Ash chuckled as the girl spoke about what was going to be inside the herbology class.

Almost letting go of the fact she was late for her class, Ash just decided to hear the girl out and waited for her to complete, now grinning for some reason nobody knew.
Does curiosity make a person smile creepily with all their teeth visible?
Ash knew, or felt that the girl needed a moment to calm down, which she provided, because it felt like she understood her. Yes, mischief she was, but after all she was also an introverted kid who opened up only in front of particular individuals. And anyway, you won't see a mischief screaming and dancing every time, everywhere and anywhere, because that's something maybe only someone who's not normal would do (WAIT IS ASH NORMAL—?).

When the girl stopped speaking, the only sound around them was of chirping birds, and with Ash still smiling at her, and to her surprise, the girl smiled back at her.

Before Ash knew it, the girl had grabbed her hand and went towards the greenhouse in the middle.
The air was hot and the sun shone brightly on them. As they slowed down, the girl said in a mutter "The sun", to which Ash's smile spread across her face wider.

So much happened in just a few minutes, and all Ash at the moment was that she wanted to know the girl she just met— she had provoked her amusement and curiosity, after all. So she decided to break further the already-broken-ice.

"You've calmed down?" Ash chuckled and kindly extended a hand towards the girl, looking up at her. "I'm Ash. Ash Brown, and you are...?"

"Audrey," she replied frantically. "Audrey Gallant. Nice to meet you," She felt a little closer to Ash every moment spent with her. Reluctantly, she grabbed hold of her Herbology books, ran towards the First Greenhouse she'd seen. "C'mon, we're really late!" Panting furiously, she took a stop and opened the greenhouse door. As the both of them trudged in the greenhouse, a middle-aged woman, dressed in her black-but-muddy clothes, stared at the both of them. Audrey could tell that this is not going to end well. But there's no going back now.

The First Greenhouse, lush and bright, filled with radiant types of green, are filled with, Audrey could tell, lots of flora and fauna. And of course, when there's something good, there's something bad in the way, too. Immediately, they were traumatised by the radish-looking plant that seemed to walk and talk. Audrey slapped herselves in the cheek, trying to get herself out of this dream.

It wasn't a dream.

Ow.

"Well, that was unnecessary," a student bellowered. "Imagine being late for-" Audrey, along with Ash, she could tell, was staring daggers at the young First-Year student, as if saying, do you even have the rights to talk? The student then went silent, but Audrey would've sworn that someone had put a mouth-binding spell on them without anyone noticing. Immediately, Audrey sat on the second row of the many seats, even though there's only two more seats available, but both of the seats are just right next to that annoying student. Grunting, she shifted her seat closer to Ash, hoping not to get involved in anything with that Squib-looking person.

As the woman introduced herself, the newly-made Herbology Professor began lecturing us with the rules and regulations of the First Greenhouse. "See," Audrey muttered while glancing around the some familiar, some unfamiliar faces of First-Years. Time was ticking. One second by one second. But yet she felt that time was fooling her around. Staring at the cock for what seemed like eternity, she was awakened by a loud yell. She jumped frightfully, almost knocking on Ash. "Gosh. Oh, I'm sorry" - she looked closely, trying to figure out what was going on - "What was that?"

As the girl introduced herself as Audrey Gallant, Ash shook hands with her, oblivious to the frantic note in her tone.

Just as the slight concern of being late for her class completely left Ash, she heard Audrey say "C'mon, we're really late!", which brought her back to her senses.
"O-oh, yeah right. Let's go!" And she emerged into the first greenhouse behind Audrey.

Well, no wonder, it was even more beautiful when viewed from the inside. Ash wished she could take a full look at the greenhouse, but there was something utterly distracting her...
They were greeted by the bewildered and perplexed eyes of every person present there. Of course, why won't they? Ash had lost track of time since she didn't have her wristwatch with her on the spot, but she could bet they were really late.

Ash responded to their unspoken words with an awkward shrug and a baby-im-not-even-here-im-a-hallucination-ish face. Looking away from everyone, she was about to get a seat with Audrey when a student, who sounded much like Ash's muggle school enemy, got up their seat and shouted something like "That was unnecessary", "Imagine being late for", and the next moment they were silent at Audrey and Ash's murderous looks.

Most unfortunately, the seats were only left beside that UNNECESSARY-BEING-LATE-FOR student. Well, there's no way out now. They just took the seat. Ash let Audrey shift closer to her, making sure she was comfortable and secretly winked and grinned at the pathetic annoying kid, hoping that would annoy them since it always worked on Ash's muggle school enemy.

Audrey was right about what would happen in the herbology class; Ash had a rather easy time listening to the Herbology Professor reciting the rules of the class, the greenhouse and all that. While a part of her brain was listening to the lesson, the other part was wondering if Ash and Audrey could be friends. Ash decided to ask Audrey to be friends once the lesson was over and smiled to herself.

The atmosphere was peaceful now, with the UNNECESSARY-BEING-LATE-FOR kid not bothering to bother them. Unexpectedly, just when the Professor was telling them about something related to Men and Drakes, there was a shriek all around, good enough to deafen the lot of them.

"WHAT—" Ash shouted at first, but her tone reduced to a soft sneer the next moment. "— the hell was that..."
She was so busy shaking her head violently to overcome the high-pitched ringing in her head that she didn't mind Audrey jumping and almost knocking her. Well, she wouldn't have minded that anyway...

Thankfully, the ringing began lessening inside her head soon and she could hear Audrey saying and looking closely at her. "Gosh. Oh, I'm sorry. What was that?"
"Oh, I'm good, don't worry!!" Ash grinned and showed a thumbs up. "You good, Audrey? That Uhm, I think that was a Man...Drake...?" And she pointed towards the many plants at a corner not far away, there was this half-radish, half-ginger-like plant, the Professor was just talking about.
