Frozen Solid Completed

"Sounds fun! I hope Christmas comes soon. I'll have to go home for the holidays though but I think first snow will fall before it so we'll have plenty of time." Airlia smiled: "My mom rules a town and she believes that following etiquette and being a lady are the most important virtues in this world. She forbade me from participating in most games."

Airlia smiled.

She thought about her nickname options while the other girl fussed over them and then once more added that they should part take in all sorts of winter games: "I think Ari is nice but people will start calling me Arilia. I rather like my name the way it is and wouldn't want to cause confusion like that. So maybe Air? It's rather fitting don't you think?"

"Ice skating is something I've actually done. It's a loved winter sport in Finland and while my mother thought it was dangerous she caved in when my father pressured her to let me learn figure skating." Airlia said and thought back to all the graceful tricks she'd learned to do on ice: "I only did it for a few years before I twisted my ankle in front of mom and she didn't let me try it again after I healed."

Airlia sat there with a frown thinking back to how fun skating had been. She'd been pretty good too even if she hadn't been allowed to compete.

She wondered how long they would have to be here. Their last class must have been over by now so once they were released they could just go to the common room and keep talking. Hopefully avoiding any more trouble.

They could not risk another trip to the healing wind since surely they would have to stay the night then.

Those sentences made the girl frown, a skeptical look on her face.
''Not to be like- mean but your mum sounds suuper strict? She'd hate my family- though maybe not my pa's side.'' The girl hummed, cringing internally at the thought of her paternal grandparents and multiple cousins on that side. She was pretty sure one or two were Durmstrang students for some peculiar reason.
''There are more things in life than looking all pretty and prancing around! What about Loyalty? Happiness? Laughing and running around barefoot in the grass?'' She shook her head.
''Nope, you so have to visit my family during a break. Get dirty and play with uh..well depends on what lives with us at the time''

''I like Air! It's super cute- and fits you, because you like look part Veela or something'' Primrose rather straight-forwardly, nodding to herself as she curiously looked at the girl as she spoke. That was no lie, the girl was beautiful beyond Primrose imagination. Her father spoke constantly about Veela and the stories surrounding them, so the girl often used it as a way to describe extremely beautiful people. Her blue eyes not doing her any service in hiding her curiosity.

The words were like pure wonder to Primrose, growing up around London didn't leave much to do for fun other than the creatures her mum brought to her.
''You are from Finland? That's soo cool, I've never left England- other than to visit family in Wales I guess?'' Primrose got a thoughtful expression on her face. ''Oh! And once we went to Romania to go look at some dragons for mum, but that's about that!'' She giggled.

''Well- I'm not super good at skating on ice and all that, but we should totally do it once winter comes! Maybe we are lucky enough to be able to join my cousin and his mates when they skate? They are like- super good!'' She was so excited, only for the nurse to clear her throat.
''Once you girls are ready to leave, just tell me and I'll get someone to help me clean these and you girls can run off, and no forests!'' The nurse called as she walked past with another student. Primrose simply rolling her eyes.
''You can't stop the centaur knights ma'am!''

Airlia didn't comment about her mother. She didn't feel comfortable enough to speak much about her: 'Ladies don't whine or disrespect their parents.'

The girl spoke fast and jumped from subject to another excitedly. Airlia had a tough time keeping up. "I don't think I'd be allowed to come. To your house I mean... Things are happening back at home and they need all the time they can get with me. I won't have time to visit even if I was given permission." Airlia had a small smile that didn't reach her eyes as she spoke. She felt bad about not being able to do the things other friends were doing.

"And you'll lose toes if you run barefoot in Finland through most of the year." Airlia chuckled changing the subject. "And I'm not a part veela. Not acceptable to... You know, marry something else than a pureblood of the opposite gender."

The girl spoke about traveling and made a joke with the nurse. Centaur knights seemed to be sticking as a group name.

After it was silent for a moment Airlia said: "I haven't traveled much either. Just the Scandinavian countries, like Norway, Sweden and Denmark. And Russia of course but those weren't holidays. Just visiting some well-respected families with my parents."

She smiled and looked at Prim. Her skin had gone back to its normal color and the potions side effects seemed to have stopped, she looked okay to walk and although she might need some rest it would definitely be better to get that in the dormitory where beds were softer than in the infirmary.

"Do you think you'd be okay to leave?"

When the other girl nodded, Airlia called the nurse over who quickly performed some cleaning and drying spells to their school clothes. She then separated them with privacy screens so they could change.

After that, she gave last warnings and instructions for them to take it easy, to drink something hot before going to bed and not staying up late so they could recharge through the night.

Nodding and promising to do so the two girls left for the common room, glad to be out of the infirmary.
