Dear Father,
I scared you with that opening there, didn't I? Don't worry I wont go around calling you 'father' like you said you had to do! I heard from mom though that you've been cooped up in your office for the past week and it's making even the niffler sad, the NIFFLER dad. Please do take care of yourself no matter what or I guess I'll have to skip class to go get you out of there myself.
Mom didn't want to tell me but Louis told me that uncle Lawrence tried to contact you again, I wish you would just tell me what is so bad about him so I'd know already. Louis has this smug look on his face whenever he realizes I don't know anything about my own Uncle. Then again, I suppose I have the upper hand in everything else- right?
Please remember to take breaks and I'm sure the school has sent letters home about my uh- Lake incident. I'm fine, thanks to a housemate of mine name Airila Winter. I think you'd really like her actually, she is super kind and quite clever! Maybe she can come visit during the breaks, if she gets permission from her parents? I really do think you'd like her tons! She is super pretty too! Like the Veela you told me about as a kid! I'm sorta jealous honestly. Louis says I look a lot like your mom, is that a bad thing?
I really considered not writing this in here, but I have to ask- for Louis sake since he refuses to write letters about it in case his mates read it or something. Is Auntie alright? Have you heard any news about Uncle Thomas from the Ministry yet? He can't be that hard to find, right?
On a a more positive note, I have found out I truly am awful in potions. Disgustingly so. But as you'd expect I'm suuper good at charms so I feel like it evens out. I miss you lot at home, especially eating breakfast with you all. I feel lonely here, I just keep tripping and falling all the time..maybe it's all about getting used to it.
Please write back as quickly as possible.

Beloved Prim,
You did indeed scare me quite a bit with that start of yours. I was worried I had somehow gotten a letter from Louis to his dad or worst case scenario you and your Mother was furious with me. It did get a chuckle out of me to be fair though.
I want to begin this letter by reminding you of formatting, try to not jump around as much in your letters. I know you are excited and just like your mother cannot focus on one subject for too long, but try your best.
And yes, Lawrence did try to contact me again. I'll make sure to inform both your mother and Louis to not bring this up to you again in the future. He has done things I do not want you to get wrapped up in, until him and I can come to an agreement please refrain from trying to contact him. Just do like I said and try to not tell people you are part Crane, there comes nothing good with that name. However about your Aunt Evanora, she is doing alright. She is still going strong and doing her best to return things to normal so Louis can return home to her as quickly as possible. The Ministry doesn't have much news about Thomas, however they suspect he may have left on his own accord. This is however not a conversation for children, but for adults. Do me a favor and don't think of such sorrowful subjects while you are at Hogwarts. Enjoy yourself! Make friends, meet your potential future partner- whatever kids do at Hogwarts nowadays that doesn't include almost getting killed every year because of the dark lord.
The school did inform us about your dip into that lake, we always told you to be careful and to watch where you walk for a reason Prim. Your mother should be sending a care package with objects from both the creatures and us. I hope you remain careful in the future, I know you will start getting used to the robes eventually. (I know I tripped on mine quite a few times my first year.)
I love you dear and no matter what subjects you are good or bad at I know you will excel with a good tutor or friend to help you. Maybe ask Miss. Winter who you befriended to help you?
I'm sure your mother would love to meet her as well, if she is anything like you describe even Louis won't be able to dislike her. I have heard of her family, so I ask that you remain as respectful as ever and careful should you ever be fortunate, or unfortunate to meet them. People with a renowned name attached to them can be dangerous Prim, you should know that better than anyone.
I've returned home for now, but please do keep sending your letters to my office. It's easier since they won't risk getting eaten by Potter or any other critter around the house. Please tell your mother to stop adopting these things faster than we can build shelters for them, I found an Occamy in my socks. My socks Primrose. My favorite Socks.
