"Oh..." He heard the fellow Gryffindor say. Emile feared that he had made Lamik feel bad. From what Emile could see, Lamik seemed to be someone who asked a lot of questions without thinking about how the other person might feel. This wasn't particularly a bad thing in Emile's eyes. In fact, he wished he could be like that sometimes. Not caring what others might think or feel of you seemed like pure bliss to him. Emile's days were usually spent worrying about whether or not people liked him and whether or not he was being the best person he could be. He spent at least five minutes every morning deciding what robes to go with out of fear people might think he looked stupid or make fun of him. In short, he was the type of person to worry in extreme amounts about how people thought about him. It was a big flaw. Emile wanted to learn more about Lamik was what he concluded after his thoughts.  "Well..." Lamik said, seeming to want to change the subject.

Emile looked up at him, his green eyes losing a bit of their sparkle. "I didn't mean to make you feel bad, if that's what happened. My grandpa is sick and it's hard..honestly maybe it's better for me to tell someone what's going on instead of bottling it up." Emile said, doing his best to make Lamik feel better, and he also was quite truthful within his statements. He was someone who never showed anything rather than a smile, not wanting to cause drama or make someone feel bad or angry. He was a chronic bottle upper (even if that isn't a word). He needed to find ways to actually cope with things healthily.

"I don't mind. My handwriting is terrible too Emmy, so I have a bit of experience reading stuff that's not so easy to read. I would like to see what youve written about me though. It is about me, after all." Lamik said, and Emile had to admit he did have a point. Still though, this would be a monumental moment. His first time showing the contents of his journal to anyone. Emile's hands felt a bit sweaty. His hands also started to shake ever so slightly. This notebook was basically..Emile. Everything he saw and knew. He thought for a moment. Maybe it might be good to show it to someone. "Okay, then. This is a one-time thing, okay? And only look at the things about you." He ordered, slowly holding out the page with the contents about Lamik and what Emile perceived his character to be. "You're the first person I've ever shown my notebook to, so don't be too critical." Emile said, trying to laugh and joke a bit.

"My grandpa is sick and it's hard... honestly, maybe it's better for me to tell someone what's going on instead of bottling it up."

Lamik nodded slowly. "It usually is better to talk about whatever you're feeling. And you didn't make me feel bad. Well- you did make me feel bad for you, but unfortunately, there's probably nothing I could do to help. Not that I'm not going to try."

Taking the notebook from his new acquaintance's hands, Lamik scanned the page it was open on as fast as he could, trying to avoid reading anything that wasn't about him. Once he got to the beginning of the newest addition to the notebook, the boy started reading through it strangely slowly- stopping every few moments to think about the words written down. "Well it doesn't seem like you dislike me, that's for sure." Lamik handed back the notebook with a grin before adding quickly: "Which is a good thing, of course. Though I suppose all of your thoughts on me could be affected by all of my deep dark secrets..." Lamik obviously didn't actually have any dark secrets. He didn't really have any secrets at all, for that matter, but he still found that saying what he did was for some reason funny.

"It usually is better to talk about whatever you're feeling. And you didn't make me feel bad. Well- you did make me feel bad for you, but unfortunately, there's probably nothing I could do to help. Not that I'm not going to try." Lamik said, nodding slowly. Emile agreed with him one hundred percent. It did make his spirits go down a bit when he said that he wouldn't try to do anything to help. Maybe Lamik just wasn't the type of person to care too much about others? Though it didn't really seem like that to Emile..he was a bit confused with the type of person Lamik was. Maybe he was someone who also didn't really show his feelings like Emile? He had told Emmy to let out his feelings, but he also said he wouldn't try, so it was a bit of a confusing situation for the prefect.

Even so, Emile couldn't help but appreciate Lamik's words. It was true that there wasn't really anything Lamik could do to help, and it was nice to see that someone could be real with him. After the incident with his parents, and after that the wolf..situation, everyone always tried to say anything to make him feel better, even if it wasn't the truth. It was kind of like a breath of fresh air to hear Lamik's words. "Well, thank you for the support. Maybe I can talk to you again. Maybe that sounds stupid, I don't know." Emile said, letting out a slight laugh.

Emile watched in silence and anticipation as Lamik looked through the notebook. He had only written good things about him, but he still hoped he hadn't done anything that might offend him or make him feel bad. That was definitely the last thing Emile wanted in this situation. "Well it doesn't seem like you dislike me, that's for sure." Lamik said, hanging the notebook back to Emile. "I absolutely do not dislike you. You seem like and are a very nice person!" Emile felt immediately ten times better after he had his tiny little beat up notebook back in his hands, even though that sounded a bit weird in his mind. It was quite obvious the notebook being back in his possession made the Gryffindor feel better. "Which is a good thing, of course. Though I suppose all of your thoughts on me could be affected by all of my deep dark secrets..." Lamik said, and Emile was already very curious to know what these secrets might be.

"Secrets? What secrets? Maybe it's not my place to ask, but I'd love to learn more about you." Emile said, getting his notebook out again.

Lamik laughed when Emile asked about his secrets. He obviously didn't understand that Lamik was joking. That was fine, of course. In fact, it was sort of nice to talk to somebody that was so adamant on finding out every little detail about him. "I don't really have any big secrets, Emmy. I was joking." Smiling, Lamik rested his head in his hands, propping it up with his elbows. "A few interesting quirks and talents, I suppose, but no actual world-changing secrets."

The boy found it a bit strange that while Emmy wasn't willing to share any of his secrets, he was very open about his curiosity. This fact didn't bother him much though, as Curiosity was something that Lamik was familiar with, after all. Ever since he was younger, occasionally prying into other people business was an activity that had become something of a hobby for Lamik. Though he definitely knew how to respect other people's privacy, sometimes it was much easier to just give in to his urges for what he thought was harmless exploration and investigation, a fact that had led him to discover and stumble upon many things that he was definetely not meant to actually know about.

“I don’t really have any big secrets, Emmy. I was joking.” Lamik said, followed by a laugh. Emile immediately felt his pale face head up and turn red. He was usually good at reading the mood or others emotions and how they were feeling, but this time he had massively failed. Though Lamik didn’t really seem to care that Emile hadn’t noticed it was joke, Emile was the type of person to always get embarrassed if he even made one tiny mistake, and this was absolutely no different then any of those other time. He looked up at Lamik, hoping his face wasn’t still too red and smiled weakly. “Sorry.” Emile said simply, not really knowing what would be better to say than that. "A few interesting quirks and talents, I suppose, but no actual world-changing secrets." Lamik added, and Emile immediately became extremely interested.

“What quirks? What talents?” Emile asked, getting his notebook out on instinct. He hoped Lamik didn’t think he was too weird. Emile lived by the saying curiosity killed the cat. He didn’t really care what happened to him if he was able to learn more. Lamik was quite the interesting character to Emile, as he hadn’t met many people who were completely transparent with their emotions and feeling or what they were thinking. At this point in the relationship, Emile couldn’t really tell if this was a good or a bad thing, but so far it seemed quite good. It was definitely good material for his novel or his book, and he was having a lovely time talking with Lamik. Though, he did wonder..what kind of person was Lamik? Was he what he seemed to be or something different? Emile was having somewhat of a hard time figuring him out. He tilted his head slightly and quickly scribbled something down in his notebook, probably along the lines of: someone who is extremely mysterious..blonde hair and blue eyes. Could be used for some sort of villainous or reserved character.

“Hey, Lamik, I’m sorry if I’m asking too many questions. I tend to ask more than people are willing to answer sometimes, so I’m sorry if it came off like that. Just tell me if you don’t want to answer anything or if I’m making you uncomfortable..” Emile said, realizing that Lamik might feel uncomfortable being asked all these questions and still not knowing barely anything about Emile. He would feel the same if he was Lamik’s shoes. Who was this werewolf novel writer person thing to be asking all these questions to a complete stranger? Emile didn’t really know either.

Lamik was just about to start explaining the in-depth version of the story on him learning to Persian Snap when Emmy interrupted him:

“Hey, Lamik, I’m sorry if I’m asking too many questions. I tend to ask more than people are willing to answer sometimes, so I’m sorry if it came off like that. Just tell me if you don’t want to answer anything or if I’m making you uncomfortable..”

Lamik stared at his new friend for a few moments. What in the world is he talking about? Lamik loved answering questions. This was mostly due to the fact that he liked talking, but the boy also believed that questions were one of the best ways for two people to get to know each other. This went both ways, as though it's much more difficult to notice, the things someone asks you tend to say a lot about who they are and what their interests are. From what he had gathered from Emmile at this point, the boy in front of him was extremely curious, like himself. Unlike himself however, Emmy seemed to be extremely shy and silent, a better listener then a speaker. He would make an AMAZING friend! Lamik thought, his mind kicking into gear as he started thinking of ways to be Emiles friend.

Deciding that the first obvious step would be to actually answer Emmys concerns, Lamik spoke up: "Questions are great. Ask away. Anything and everything."

Emile watched as Lamik seemed to go silent and think for a minute? Had he said something wrong? After talking to Lamik for the short time he had, he could tell he liked to talk. This wasn't-a bad thing at all, as Emile was the type of person who didn't talk as much as others usually did. He was usually reading a book or scribbling something down something random instead of talking. He was usually writing down what others said and analyzing that, so he didn't really give himself much time to talk in general. Maybe that was his problem, but he was thinking about Lamik at this moment.

Maybe I did actually say something wrong..gosh, Emile! Try to think about others more. This sucks. Something bad and good about Emile was that if he feels a bad feeling, he always takes it as a chance to write in his journal. This was one of those moments, and he scribbled down the feeling of worrying that you've done something wrong. The Gryffindor was 90% sure this was somewhere else in his notebook, as he felt like he messed up a lot, but he still felt it was important to write everything that came to mind down. How else would he be able to know what it felt like exactly? You never know if there would be something in the book about two people sitting together and then one of them stops talking.

Thinking about it more deeply, Emile noticed how stupid it sounded. Maybe he hadn't done anything wrong..maybe Lamik was just thinking. God knew Emile would think a lot. He looked at Lamik quickly, then proceeded to write down that feeling too. The feeling of hoping that it's actually too stupid to be something you did wrong. Wait, that doesn't sound right..I should probably rephrase that. But.. Emile thought, but soon he heard Lamik's voice which fortunately snapped him out of his thoughts. Reiterating what was said earlier, Emile went into thought a lot.

"Questions are great. Ask away. Anything and everything." Was what Lamik said, and Emile felt a rush of relief! Thank God! He hadn't ruined a friendship with this boy! He smiled slightly to himself before realizing that was probably looking stupid so he stopped, but still turned towards Lamik.

"Okay, good. I'm told I ask too many questions sometimes, so. Also before, you looked like you were about to say something..can I ask what that was gonna be?" Emile asked, in regards to the Persian Snap story, though Emile didn't know it was that story yet. The black haired boy waited in anticipation to hear the interesting boy next to him's story.

Lamik thought that it was completely absurd that some people think there is such a thing as too many questions. After all, how could someone be blamed for their curiosity? How could you dislike the fact that a person you're talking to wants to know more simply for the purpose of knowing? Lamik believed that the most useful tool in life is knowledge, and as cheesy as that was, he knew that even a wand was useless if you didn't know how to use it. As for knowing things about others? Even the most seemingly unimportant and random details could tell you something about the person you're talking to.

"Well, it's not that interesting if I'm being honest..." Lamik said, quickly pulling one of the stools beside Emile over to himself. Before he could position the wooden seat correctly though the boy's hands brushed- or at least they would have if Lamik hadn't frozen then and there. His large blue eyes suddenly becoming cloudy and his face gaining a blank expression, the boy stood there silently for a few moments, the back of his hand still touching Emile's. Then, as if awakening from some violent nightmare, Lamik snapped to attention and stumbled back with a sharp inhale of breath. As their skin lost contact, a small purple spark would flash from the place where they had touched and Emile would feel a sharp pain shooting through his entire body before disappearing as quickly as it came. Along with this, a sudden flurry of voices would fill his mind for just a few seconds- all sounding like Lamik and far to garbled and overlapping to understand.
