Aideen peeked her head into the Library. It was nice an quiet. She slipped inside and moved silently through the shelves. She had the habit of getting lost in libraries. Her mother once joked that Aideen should just live in them instead of their house. But then her face had gone sober as she muttered "It would probably be a nicer place than ours."

Aideen reached into her pocket and fingered her entire savings transferred into wizard money: just four sickles. She sighed. Reading might help with these dark thoughts. At random, she chose a book. The spine read The Tales of Beetle the Barf. Aideen frowned, then brushed a hand across her eyes, getting rid of her tears. Better. The Tales of Beetle the Bard. The young book worm raced through all five stories in a flash. Some were heartwarming. Some were deep. Still others were dark and terrible.

When she was done, Aideen stood up and stretched, mentally noting that this would be a nice place to do homework later. The sound and smell of books sat welcomingly in the air. Maybe she did not have to go yet. All the undiscovered adventures were calling her. Just one more.

Alexa stepped purposefully into the library. She was here for a book on potions, which was a subject she did not really enjoy. Suddenly, she tripped over a Ravenclaw girl. "Oof!" she grunted and went sprawling. Alexa lay on the floor for a moment, then sat up. She glared at the other girl with contempt. Not only had this girl tripped her, but she dared to be the house Alexa had always wanted.

Alexa shook her head. You're as bad as a Slytherin. She didn't do anything. You just weren't paying attention. And Gryffindor isn't that bad after all.

Making an attempt to be friendly, as well as getting to know her first person in the castle, Alexa said, "Sorry, I didn't see you there. My fault. I'm Alexa, who are you? I just love the library, it's so amazing. What's your favorite book? Are you wizard born? Sorry, is that to personal? What's your favorite subject?" Alexa paused, gasping for breath. Her mother had once told her that the best way to strike up a conversation was to ask the other person a question, but maybe she was being a bit overbearing. Smooth, Alex.

Deciding the best thing to do was to just wait for an answer, Alexa sat back, leaning on her hands. Had she just ruined her firs chance of making a friend?

Aideen had been sitting down, enjoying another book, when a stab of pain shot up her spine. Something went flying over her head, and there was an "Oof!"

Aideen closed her eyes for a moment in annoyance, then looked and saw a girl about her age sitting on the floor. Aideen blinked as the girl, who was revealed to be Alexa, hurled questions at her. "Uh," she said intelligently, trying to make a mental list of them all. "My name is Aideen, Ravenclaw First Year, and, ah, I think the library is awesome too. I haven't read many wizard books or attended a class, so I don't know about those."

She tried desperatley to remember some of the other questions. She didn't want to turn away Alexa, because that would be mean. Stalling, she tried a joke. "Ow. Where's the hospital thing, or whatever it's called? I think you kicked a hole in my back!" she smiled dryly, then realized that was even worse then telling the Gryffindor she flipping didn't care. "Sorry. Trying to be funny. Ha ha."

Alexa and Aideen had one thing in common so far: They both really wanted a friend. And so far this was going incredibley awkwardly. Tucking a stray strand of hair behind one ear, she sighed. "OK, OK, we should probably both calm down, because I'm pretty sure everyone's staring at us. What do you think of this castle? Pretty crazy, huh? I really hope I don't get stuck on one of those moving staircases."

Did that sound friendly and calm and conversational and genuine? She hoped so.

It was around that time again. Kamryn's potion class was having a test in due time. And as the young girl didn't much care for potions, she wasn't prepared at all. She's already given asking her brother for help a shot. Again. But this time he had "better things to do." Not that she could blame him. She wouldn't want to bother tutoring someone as dumb as she either. With a huff, Kamryn shut the dust old potion book she was reading and scooted out her chair.
She hated the library. She hated how it was always the place she'd be pointed to whenever she'd ask a question. She hated how everyone there was so much better off than her it seemed when it came to knowing things. But most of all she hated how quite it was.

As Kamryn got down from putting up her book she heard a massive thud followed by a girl's complaint about it. She ran to the sound. Not really knowing why herself. Once there the girl that she assumed was the person behind the thud was already up and kickin' once again. Holding what seemed like a pretty awkward conversation with another girl around their age.
The girl was holding a book bigger than anything Kamryn's ever read through. She decided to butt herself in the two's conversation. Stairs or whatever. Weird thing to be talking about. "'Ey there. You two awrite? Heard a big ol' bang from ooer there."

Mezarim held the books he was carrying close to his chest, he just wanted somewhere to sit and just read like he was doing back home. After all this changes after he got to Hogwarts had really got to him and just spending some time alone for once was going to be extremly healthy he thought.
The books was nothing important really, just some ol books with propably a whole lot of dust it was a miracle that he hadn't begun to cough and sneez from all the dust.

The tall eleven year old that could easily be mixed up with someone much older than he was entered the library, knowing that he was a Sterling wouldn't be difficult with the dark hair sharp feutures and his height it would be cristall clear for anyone really. The sterling history wasn't in some people's mind the best one, they would call it brutal and disloyal. Being followers of the one and only Lord Voldemort. Something Mezarim had been brought up being proud over.
His bangs were just short enought to end by the eyelids, if he would let his hair grow any further he would easily hide his brown eyes with the hair something his mother was much against.

The shelfs with books did amaze him and he couldn't help his mouth to fall open slightly, even in the family's large mansion with the library wasn't any competition to this. He was so caught up by all the books that he didn't notice his grip loosen around the books and just as he was going to continue into the library to find somewhere nice to sit down, did the books fall down with a thud on the ground. He ran his hand through his hair and picked them up looking around to see if anyone could see him. And Three girls caught his eyes, he could clearly see that none of them were from his house and he quickly got up books close he blew the bangs out from his face and glared at the girls. He hoped they didn't judge him and that he didn't put any shame to himself that this was the firat impression. He wouldn't want to make it the last.

With a harder grip around the books did he make his way towards the girls and cleared his throat

"What an marvellous impression was it not, I hope you aren't telling anyone about it.."
someone more confident wouldn't even bother walking over to the girls and talking to them, they wouldn't do anything about what just happened, it wasn't even such a big of a deal- But any mistake could cost him.. at least that was what he thought.
