A light breeze swept over the lake, creating ripples on the surface and rustling the leaves of the trees. The grass swayed lazily in the wind, gently brushing the edge of the water. The crisp September air carried a hint of mist, giving the scene an ethereal quality.

Elena stood in the shade of a grand weeping willow, its long, trailing branches dipping gracefully towards the lake. The tree's thick, gnarled trunk provided a sturdy support, its bark rough and textured beneath her touch. She leaned against it, deeply absorbed in a book. The volume she held was an ancient tome, its leather cover worn and pages yellowed with age, filled with intricate diagrams and delicate, handwritten notes. She twirled her Remembrall between her hands. It was bright red, as usual. Her memory wasn't really reliable. She ran her finger along the pages, captivated by her reading. She vaguely heard the distant rustle of leaves and the soft chirping of birds, her mind entirely empty, as it always was when she immersed herself in a book. Heavy clouds were rolling in, cooling the air. Elena shivered and nestled against the thick trunk.

This little spot she had discovered was away from the usual haunts of the students. It was her secret place. She came here almost every day, each time with a new book in hand. Hearing a faint noise, she lifted her gaze from her book. Something felt off. Was someone there? Her sixth sense was on alert, giving her the impression of being watched. She scanned the lake, where the water shimmered under the soft sunlight, reflecting the hues of the surrounding trees. The gentle ripples created patterns that danced across the surface, adding to the serene beauty of the scene. Seeing nothing, she resumed her reading, sinking a bit further into the crevice of the tree bark. She was quickly absorbed, all contact with the outside world severed. The wind still undulated, blowing a calming breeze over her golden curls.

As Prat wandered around the lake, his usual hideout as he finally found out the time to get back to it after the summer vacations. Before he could even reach the spot he saw a girl leaning along the tree reading a some ancient tome with diagrams and notes. Prat observed her from afar before recognising her as the Malnourished dwarf Witch they'd met at the summer camp with Alex and Aston.

"That witch" Prat remembered how she nearly ruined his prank at the camp albeit it wasn't her intention and decided to prank her now for his amusement. Seeing her engrossed in that book Prat grew curious about the book wondering what had her attention so bad. Prat had half a mind to throw sand at her but relented remembering how mad someone got last time he did that.

Slowly walking towards her Prat pulled out his wand, moving his wand in a hurried flame shaped motion while using the incantaion (in-SEN-dee-o), conjuring a jet of flames to set the far away part of the lake on fire before it sizzles and then fizzles out drawing her attention as Prat walked behind the tree.

Procceding to poke the blonde haired Witch with his wand in her back and going,"BOOO !!," seeing how she jumped up even after her sixth sense. "Hands up ! we've surrounded you from all one side." Prat proclaimed before putting his wand down. " I completely forgot you'd be attending Hogwarts this year. Welcome to HOGWARTS." he said in his perfect Headmaster impression while laughing at her.

Elena was sitting against her tree, deeply absorbed in her book, when part of the lake caught fire. She suddenly looked up, startled, watching the flames ripple before dying out.

What the-

Before she could finish her thought, she felt something tickle her back. She was about to turn around when someone shouted in her ear. "BOO!"

She jumped, her book flying out of her hands as she leapt to her feet, her heart racing. In front of her stood a dark-haired boy with laughing brown eyes. It took her a few seconds to recognize him, her mind still reeling.

That damn-

She swallowed her insult, glaring at him. "You!" She shook her head, smoothing her clothes and trying to calm her racing heart. "Merlin's beard." She crossed her arms and tilted her head slightly. "What are you doing here? This is my secret spot, go bother someone else." Her tone was half serious, half amused. She liked the boy, but he had an annoying tendency to get on her nerves. And he seemed to love it.

She sighed. How did I not sense him coming? Her gaze fell on the thick book lying on the ground. Ah. Right. Of course. She looked back at the boy, who was grinning from ear to ear. She chuckled when he welcomed her. "Hmm. I didn't expect the welcoming committee to be so..." Her nose wrinkled. "Thrilling." She could still feel her blood pounding in her ears and her heart echoing through her entire body. Why had she been so scared? Maybe because she hadn't expected to see anyone here. Actually, how had he found her?

Elena stepped forward to get her book back when she heard the sound of broken glass crunching under her feet. She froze and looked down. Shards of glass glittered in the sunlight, scattered across the ground. She frowned, then suddenly remembered she had been playing with her Remembrall.

No no no no no...

She knelt down, gathering the glass shards. She muttered through her teeth, "Damn it."

As Prat Booed the blonde hair rattail witch, he saw her visibly jumping up from the sudden surprise as her book flew out of her hands right into the air above them as Prat caught her book in his hands before she could even steady herself. This got a light chuckle out of Prat which soon turned into a full fledged laugh as he looked at her scared face like a deer in headlights before she regained her demeanor as she began cursing Prat but decided to hold back for some reason instead relying on the words "Merlin's Beard" to express her curse at him.

Hearing someone say "Merlin's Beard" made Prat visibly confused, telling her "Your spot??I've used this place with my friends for a whole year before you even existed in these courtyards, buzz off dishwashed porcupine." On another note he thought "How old is this toothpick sized badger??" Last person he had heard using that curse was his old Grandma ,which made him remember the vacations he had just spent with her. The fond memories pulled Prat out of his Pranking mood and instead he extended a Firm handshake towards her welcoming her to the school before offering her book back to her, in the midst of which she kept giving snarky and witty replies to Him,which much to his relief, he found quite funny to see with the expressiveness she'd say them and scrunch her nose.

She began gathering her things as Prat turned around to leave before they both heard a crunching nose which later turned out to be Elena's Remembrall, upon destruction of which Prat saw how she looked visibly sad, without saying a word he pulled out his wand going "Watch this you soup deficient witch" and made one identical sweeping motion while using the incantation (reh-PAH-roh) for the reparo spell to fix her remembrall and then left without looking back.

Prat Can use Reparo without having it in trunk as this is a forward dated thread and he'll be a Second Year by then.

Elena raised an eyebrow, opening her mouth to respond to the brown-haired boy when he called her a "buzz off dishwashed porcupine". She scoffed, looking at him with a disbelieving eye.

What the heck did he just call me?

She had never heard anyone throw out such bizarre insults. This boy was definitely strange. Elena wasn't sure if he liked her or not, and it stressed her out. She pushed aside her anxious thoughts, bending down to gather her things. She noticed that her Remembrall was broken, which saddened her. She looked up as she saw him pull out his wand. Her expression darkened when she heard another weird insult.

Where on earth does he come up with these?

Suddenly, he cast "reparo," and her Remembrall fixed itself. It landed in her hands. Surprised, the witch looked up to thank him, but he was already gone. She stood there, the Rappeltout in her hand, extremely confused. What the- what was that interaction ? He was definitaly a strange personn. She chuckled, finding the scene that had just unfolded very amusing. She stood up, retrieved her book, and sat back down in her spot. But her thoughts kept drifting back to the wizard she had just seen. She huffed.

I should start thinking of equally ridiculous nicknames for him, I have a feeling I’m going to see him again very soon.
