Marcus smiled hearing Rian speak and nodded respectfully to his fellow Pureblood, assuming he is one after all he seems to be taught Pureblood mannerisms
"I honestly don't mind Professor, if it helps the other students as well as my own house in learning, I volunteer to use some of the spells I have learned from my tutors and parents" He said to the Professor with a smile "All I ask is I receive the credit where it is due as well as House Points for the difficulty of said spells" He added with a smile like a true Slytherin, a favor for a favor after all.
Looking around for any objections from his fellow Students, he twirled his wand as he waits for the Professor to say yes or no to him, silently hoping he could so he can show off a bit for his house, standing up and leaning against the nearby wall tapping his wand on his arm as he crosses them along his chest, staring at the professor with his ruby-red eyes with a fake innocent smile on his slightly tanned face "Would you prefer light, grey, dark, semi-dark, semi-light, go ahead and pick." He said with a chuckle.

Destrian was aware that class had already started, but he entered nonetheless. He had heard someone snap at the teacher just minutes ago and was quite curious to see what would happen next. He opened the door, which creaked loud enough to have the teacher's attention. The look on the man's face was priceless. There was a cold rage in the man's eyes, an annoyed twitch of his eyes when he saw Dayne entering the room, shutting the creaking door behind him again. "You're late," he said. "I'm aware, professor. And you seem to have lost control over your class," Destrian replied as he gestured towards the muttering students around him. "I was at the door just earlier, but I couldn't help but get bored over your history lesson." He hadn't actually been there, but that's what he had heard someone say when he had opened the door.
The teacher sighed and gestured for him to sit, which Destrian did. The Slytherin student had a certain stride about him. His head was high in pride, his eyes cool. He was a Pureblood from a very proud family, that was a fact. He sat himself down and gathered his things, not being particularly quiet about it either.
"Fine! If it's magic you want, you'll get magic. But do not turn for me when you get questions on your test about the history of Dark Arts," he said as he looked at every single one of his students. "Grab your wands and do as I say."
"Today I will only be teaching you a single spell, but it is one of the most useful spells I will teach you. The use of this spell is commonly the way to end formal duels - if you opponent is disarmed, then they have no method of attacking and, therefore, are defeated," he said. It was clear that the professor was still a bit annoyed but he continued the lesson nonetheless. "Now, for your basic components of spellcasting. The wand movement is a spiral that goes clockwise and ends with an outward swish up and to the left. While performing this wand movement, you say the incantation “Expelliarmus” "
"You will practice this in groups of two."

I will make a group in which we can practice this, so that it won't be a total chaos here, alright?
PS Sorry Marcus! I just now saw your reply. I was hijacking the lesson, oops. Want me to edit?

Lex was almost invisible as he scribbled away on a piece of paper he found lying around. The class was much similar to his old one, such as the droning teacher. It's much more interesting (and easier to stay awake) while he's doodling things. Maybe a dragon- with a dog's foot for a face, no no that's not absurd enough. A cow, yes, a cow's head on its left foot. Lex ended up with 'whatever the whatever it is'. He had brought a pencil with him, having snuck in a few other stationery in his bag.
Most of the time he would only half-listen as he daydreamed and drew. Nobody noticed him so far, and that's good. It means he's not disturbing anyone, right? It felt a bit lonely but he was used to it... probably. A classmate offered a demonstration but he wasn't interested so he pretended to watch while battling a unicorn in his head. He propped up one hand and rested his head on it, his gaze wandering around to small cracks and whatnot. It was when the teacher announced "something-something groups of two" when he 'woke up'. He glanced around 'Great. Partner time. Just great.' he thought. He saw a few familiar faces like Arceus and Caitlin but didn't really try to ask as he fiddled with his twitching hands, not getting out of his seat.

Arceus guessed Caitlin was going with Marcus, he felt happy for her since she was a big sister to him and they seemed like friends. He looked around the classroom and spotted Lex in the back and waved to him. Well I hope he's ok with me being the partner he thought and with that went closer to him when the teacher turned. "Hi.. wanna be in a group with me?" He asked hoping Lex would say yes or he wouldn't have anyone to be with unless Cait decided to be with him. He moved even closer and listened to what the teacher was saying, "Choose a partner now we'll be starting shortly" he looked to Lex hopefully but saw that he hadn't even heard him, so he patted Lex on the shoulder and asked again "Hey wanna be in a group with me or have you got someone else?" I sounded rude didn't I? I don't want to lose a friend I'll never forgive myself "Sorry I didn't mean it like that way it's just your my only choice" NO! Not like that, that makes it seem like he's my last choice "I don't mean it like that either I just.." Ok I give up.
Have a nice day and peace out..

Destrian watched Arceus talking to Lex and chuckled. "You shouldn't be so shy. He's your friend, right? Just tell him that you want to team up with him. The worst thing he can say is 'no'," he promised him with a sly smile playing on his lips. But in a way he meant it well. He remembered being shy when he was younger and it had always been an obstacle. Once he got over it, he started feeling much, much better about himself. "And besides, you're from the same house. That should help lots as well, don't you think. So, really, there's no need to be this shy. If you would loosen up a bit, I'm sure you'll surprise yourself with what you're actually capable of." Dayne continued to stare at his books for a while, reading a bit about the spell they would learn. Defense is the best offense, or was it the other way around?
With a shrug he looked away from the two to see with who he could form a team for the practicing of their spells. He wanted a good partner. Someone with potential and someone with whom he could truly practice. It was important to make use of moments such as these, he knew, for one day you might just need the spell and it would be too late to practice.

Lex was about to zone out when Arcues approached and started to ramble on. He looked like he was listening, and he was but not completely. Some parts became white noise while the rest were crystal clear. He understood though. Hey, what's that? It looked like a new crack in the wall. No, he just haven't seen it, it's hard to spot. Hm...
He wasn't paying attention again. 'Snap back to reality, snap back.' He reeled his mind in and took a second to process what he heard. He stared at Arceus for a bit and raised his hands for a moment before lowering them with a look of realization in his eyes while mouthing 'oh' without sound. He was used to his old habit of signing his words far too much, that will have to change he supposed. He nodded "Sure, don't worry too much, I understand." and looked around for his wand... Somewhere... Aha. He pulled it out of the small bag he hid under the desk. Why was he hiding it? He wasn't sure himself.
"I never casted spells before, let alone seen one." He confessed, expression the same as always. He switched his wand to his other hand a few times before determining that he preferred his left. He raised his wand and turned to look at Arceus "Shall we start then?"

Arceus was happy about Lex agreeing to be with him, but to be honest except for Expelliarmus he had never cast another spell and was really nervous. "Umm.. ok then what shall we do? We have to learn Expelliarmus? To be honest I don't know what I'm doing." He chuckled "Ok so.. we should start off with saying the spell before casting it so we don't mutter the wrong spell and burn the school down.. I kind of know how to cast Expelliarmus already, but what do you think?" I'm talking too much aren't I? "It's kind of.. I don't know how to explain you just have to point your wand straight and say Expelliarmus, it might work more if you shout it really loud" He grinned knowing Lex would never shout out loud, he almost never talked either. He held his wand and fiddled with it in his hands, "I hate presenting it always makes me really nervous, what about you?" He asked, he wanted to talk to Lex more but Lex always kept to himself and rarely talked unless asked something. Friends talk a lot right? But is it this much? What should I do? What should I say! Why do you have to over analyze everything Arceus! He took a deep breath "Ok, let's get started"

Rian twirled his wand about. "Expelliarmus." Nothing happened. Again, he would do it. "Expelliarmus." Nothing happened. He wasn't quite sure what was wrong. He wanted to learn a actual spell today, and would stop at nothing to do so. The exercise given was to practice it on a partner, and Rian wanted to participate in this.
He was hoping a partner would come along and help him learn it. His father didn't teach him much of anything. He often said, "You should learn through your own hard work, not others." Rian never really knew what this meant. He continued practicing the spell. "What am I missing?" He scolded himself silently.
At this point Rian felt that he was far behind the other first years. They probably all already knew the spell and could preform it with perfection. Rian had experience with Herbs, creatures and potions but never even a simple spell.
Rian eventually gave up and sat on the ground, defeated. "Rian, you really are dumb." He scolded himself again. He began twirling the wand around, figuring he wouldn't be able to do anything. He might as well stay and watch, and maybe he'd get some kind of clue atleast. Maybe someone would come along and help.

Caitlin watched her basically little brother find a partner. Thank goodness he found someone. I would be partners with him but I do want him to make other friends. You go Arc! She looked around the room before standing up and smoothing out her crumpled shirt. She was generally wondering how the heck she got out of detention, she had seen many others get it for much less. Maybe she was just lucky but she did not believe in luck, what good had it ever done for her? Well, she better find a partner because they were going quick. She walked over to Marcus. "Mind if I join you? You are the only other person I know here besides Arceus and he has a partner now. I understand if you have someone else in mind." She said the last part quietly. To be honest she just wanted to see if he was all talk or not. He claimed to know all these spells that she had never heard of before and wanted to see them in action. She knew quite a few of her own. I wonder what would happen if we had a proper wizards duel... I wonder who would win.
