For summer camp, do you want to live in a giant gingerbread house with walls you can eat? Or perhaps you'd rather reside in an icy palace and sleep with your pets at your feet? Is sleeping under the stars more your forte, or would you prefer a softly rumbling train?

If your ideal summer tent is an ice age-style cave, the inside of an igloo, a beautiful floral meadow, or even the sunny summer beach, we've got the tents for you. Each group may choose one tent theme for the duration of the summer camp and enjoy the RP quirks and flavour that come with their chosen theme.

Please note that you do not need to officially sign up for a theme anywhere. However, any threads occurring in your tent should state the theme of the tent & include its description.

EACH GROUP MAY CHOOSE ONLY ONE THEME FROM THE THEMES BELOW AND RP AS LIVING IN A TENT WITH THAT THEME:

ARCTIC EXPEDITION Reducio Viewed from the outside, the Arctic Expedition tent is composed of sturdy, coarse fabric coloured a soft, cloudy grey, and appears to be sewn together with thick blue and red thread. The shelter is dusted with a thin layer of ice and snow, and appears to be battling some intense winds, even when the air inside the stadium is perfectly still. A large, dark blue flag bearing an illustration of the Quidditch Stadium can be seen fluttering in the wind, posted in the dirt next to a small wooden trail marker that reads "Arctic Expedition Tent #X". Inside, the tent is warm but utilitarian. Hiking and camping gear lines the walls, and from a cursory glance it's clear that the gear is genuine, should the occupants wish to plan any excursions. The ceiling is lined with ropes demonstrating various types of knots, as well as various colored cloth flags. On the rightmost wall of the tent is a large, detailed and accurate map of the Quidditch Stadium, including where each tent is located on the pitch. In the back of the tent is a little nook with a magical camera, set up to take pictures photobooth style. The camera is able to be removed, should you wish to take it on your adventures, but an anti-theft spell prevents it from being removed from the stadium. Eight sturdy beds with thick, blue duvets line each side of the tent, four on each side, with a thick, faux-fur blanket sat on the end of each bed. The tent is kept pleasantly cool to allow its occupants to make use of these. Under each bed is a small trunk that the tent's occupants are welcome to fill with little keepsakes from their adventures over the next month. On the bedside tables you'll find some pre-made hiking snack kits, which are regularly refilled should anyone get a little peckish during the night.	BELOW THE FLOE Reducio Unassuming on the outside, these dark blue tents each sit on their own private patch of ice, through which you can just barely see the rippling of currents and the silvery glint of fish underneath. The tent is quiet and still, and there's an aura of tranquility to the area that feels almost criminal to disturb. A plain wooden sign staked into the ice proclaims this as "Below the Floe Tent #X". Upon entering the tent, quite curiously, you will see an entirely empty structure with a floor of solid ice, the only feature to break up the monotony being the staircase in the center of the room, descending down below into parts unknown. Should you choose to take the staircase, at the bottom you will find yourself in an underground cave, a sheet of clear, transparent ice protecting the occupants from the water (and the creatures that dwell within it) floating above them. Icicles line the ceiling and a small, peaceful stream floats through the center of the room. Pool chairs and hot chocolate are readily available for those who'd like to take a lazy trip up and down the river, as the current reverses twice every hour. The eight beds on the edges of the room, just out of the water's reach, are lit softly by glowing lanterns, which are charmed to light up or go out at your instruction. The duvets and pillows are soft blues and greys, and upon lying on the beds you'll either be delighted or horrified to find that they're all waterbeds. Should you have trouble sleeping, I recommend casting your gaze to the waters above: while there might not be any sheep for you to count, there are certainly plenty of fish!
COSY CABIN Reducio Those who have attended a previous summer camp at the Hogwarts Campgrounds may find this "tent" to be particularly welcoming, as the Cosy Cabin tent is less of a tent and more of a log cabin in the shape of one, with its outer walls composed of fragrant pine logs stacked atop each other. Firewood is stacked up neatly next to the entrance, near a dark, wooden sign indicating that this is "Cosy Cabin Tent #X". Rather than a standard tent flap entrance, the Cosy Cabin tents have simple wooden doors, with various pots of paint stacked up next to them. Your first test as tentmates will be to select a color and paint your door. Inside the tent, a stone fireplace stands large and prominent against the back wall, its fire filling the space with cosy light and warmth. Above the roaring fire on the mantel sits a stack of parchment and quills, with a note in elegant, loopy cursive left next to it: "Let go of what no longer serves you." If you're carrying burdens and grievances from the previous year (or years), consider this your opportunity to release yourself of them through cleansing flame. In the center of the tent is a gathering space with a variety of comfy places to sit, and art supplies like easels, paints, sketchpads, and charcoals are readily available. Mugs and supplies for hot cocoa, as well as a little fondue kit, are set alluringly on the center table. Lining the walls are eight wooden bunk beds, four on each side, decorated in the same white, tan, and brown colour scheme as the rest of the tent. Each of them have their own little nooks for storage, and are far comfier than any bunk bed has the right to be. They're the perfect distance from each other for staying up late whispering to your bunk neighbor, and have a peculiar magical quirk of occasionally swapping bed occupants without warning during the night. Don't worry, this likely won't affect your beauty sleep! It'll just give you a fun little surprise in the morning.	FROSTFLOWER MEADOW Reducio This dome-shaped tent will immediately appeal to floral enthusiasts, as its tan, airy curtains that serve as the front entrance are parted invitingly, allowing the intriguing mix of soft grass, colorful, newly blooming flowers, and a slowly encroaching sheet of delicate white ice to spill out of the opening. However, anyone uninvited who attempts to get a closer peek through those curtains, or Merlin forbid tries to force their way in, will find themselves suddenly turned around, head full of static and cotton, and the pleasant scent of mock orange and gardenia lingering in their nose. No sign denotes which tent this is: rather, a large, elegant vase stands near the entrance, where each occupant can place a flower that they feel represents their inner self. Perhaps no better place does summer and winter meet than inside the Frostflower Meadow tent. A myriad of summer flowers bloom within it's walls, such as lilacs, sweet peas, and evening primrose, as well as an abundance of frostflowers, false flowers whose petals are formed by thin layers of ice. Vines and icicles decorate the ceiling in a delicate partnership, and thick, native grasses are what constitute as the flooring, lush enough to roll around in. A hidden pool resides at the back of the tent, enchanted to remain pleasantly hot, and an assortment of spa and aromatherapy supplies are in ready abundance. Surrounding by patches of tall grass and flowers, the eight beds in this tent are more large cushion than a traditional bed. Lightly scented with the flower of your choosing, there are enough pillows to sink into, and just let your worries slide away.
FROZEN PALACE Reducio On the outside, the tent appears to be a regular tent so as not to draw any suspicion, though those with keener gazes may notice the slight frosting-over of the silvery fabric near its peak and close to the ground. Should any who do not live inside try to touch the fabric, they may receive quite a shock as the cloth is freezing to the touch! However, those who reside within will be able to pull aside the tent flaps without getting frostbite and enter the airy interior. Inside, the tent air is slightly chilly and the palace-like interior much bigger than its exterior, with its walls appearing to be made entirely of ice and a snow-covered floor. Large arched "windows" on each wall provide a shadowy view of real-time silhouettes moving by outside, and those who are brave enough to place an ear to the cold icy wall may even hear the distorted conversations of those passing - perfect for gossips and people who like to eavesdrop. A tent-like ceiling is held up by ten large ice columns, and over the course of the camp, residents may notice stalactites slowly growing downwards from the high, arched roof above. Rather than bunk beds, residents of this tent may each claim a large, circular, and comfortable lounge bed, which each have a lowered portion perfect for a pet to curl up at one's feet. Meals may be taken at the icy table and chairs, and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. If you have an icy demeanor, this may be the tent for you.	GINGERBREAD HOUSE Reducio On the outside, the tent appears normal, if a bit run-down, lacking any sense of magic. It's a plain brown shade resembling mud. The tent has no noticeable attachments to connect it to the ground. One with a keen sense of smell might notice a strong smell of gingerbread and cookies wafting from the inside of the tent. To enter the tent, there are two simple flaps tied together with a candy cane-striped ribbon that its inhabitants can easily pull away. Inside, the tent proves that it is far more magical than the outside seems. The inside is roomy and comfortable, making each student feel warm and cosy. In the middle of the tent, there is a sitting area and coffee table decorated with cookie making supplies. On the side of the room is everything the students could wish for if they wanted to bake or decorate cookies. By the entry of the tent is a list with the name of each student, their year, and school. Next to the beds are different dressers that resemble giant cookies, each with the ability to fit the clothes of two different people. The bedding situation is just as warm and cosy as the rest of the tent. There are eight beds in the tent in bunk bed style. Each bed is fitted with sheets before the arrival of the students. The warm comforter and thin sheets, both gingerbread brown, smell vaguely of cinnamon and different spices. A ladder can be found to use to climb up to each bunk. If you're a fan of gingerbread or baking, this may be the tent for you!
GONE FISHIN' Reducio From the outside, each tent resembles a giant igloo crafted from glistening, enchanted ice that remains cool even in the summer heat. The entrance, an inviting arched tunnel, requires you to crawl inside, adding a touch of adventure and authenticity to your stay. The façade blends seamlessly with the lush green surroundings, creating a striking contrast that enhances the feeling of a true winter getaway. Inside, the interior walls mimic the look of perfectly sculpted ice blocks, curving gracefully up to meet a stunning glass dome that tops the igloo. This transparent dome allows natural light to illuminate the space during the day and offers an unobstructed view of the starry sky at night. In the centre of the tent, you'll find a large, enchanted ice hole, perfect for ice fishing. Surrounding the hole are fishing rods, ready for you to try your hand at this unique activity. The cool, crisp air inside is maintained by subtle charms, ensuring you remain comfortable while fully immersed in the wintry ambiance. When it’s time to rest, retreat to one of our luxurious canopy beds that line the tent's circular walls. Each bed features a semi-circular canopy resembling the top of an igloo, offering a cosy, private haven. The canopies are adorned with thick, insulating drapes that keep you warm and snug, while the plush bedding ensures a restful night’s sleep. Positioned to provide a perfect view of the central ice fishing hole, the beds offer a unique blend of comfort and novelty.	ICE AGE Reducio Upon entering the London Stadium's ephemeral winterscape, one may feast their eyes upon the towering, jagged snow-capped mountains and eroded boulders ahead that spark awe as they oversee the quidditch field's permafrost. You might be thinking: "I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder," but don't be so easily fooled. A closer inspection of the mammoth-sized peaks would reveal these massifs as more than simple decor to adorn the tundra, but rather lofty tents with charmed fabric and hidden cave mouths. These tents may be the most peculiar and incongruous compared to the latter tent themes, but wait until you see the inside and ask yourself: have you ever wanted to sleep in a cave, man? Step inside the "cave" and journey back millions of years into the Ice Age. Inside the tent, its dwellers will be welcomed to an orange, soft glow from the ambient flame that illuminates the inside and defeats the chilling draft of the outside. A cursory glance displays the walls embellished with interactive Parietal Art of fantastic and prehistoric beasts but lacklustre regarding space. Don't let your eyes deceive you of the tent's size; by adhering to the stony pathway straight ahead, the tent's occupants can continue their descent into an underground cave system that boasts mazes and soundproof rooms for an array of activities: painting, excavating fossils, and carving arrowhead necklaces or simply unleashing your most ferocious roars and hearing its mighty echo. Just be sure not to forget to grab one of the many enchanted lanterns available to willing explorers! Any weary cave-dwellers scouring for refuge within a cosy haven shall look no further; rather than the traditional bunk beds, residents of this tent will each claim one of eight large king-sized platform beds that line the walls. Each bed, four on each side of the tent, provides a small designated trunk and woven baskets to horde away belongings and keepsakes. They are adorned with thick, faux-fur comforters of various vivid shades and designs, and the mattress itself is plush and pleasantly cool despite the weighted faux-fur blankets, guaranteeing any spelunker a perfect night’s rest.
POLAR EXPRESS Reducio Look, it's a train, not on any tracks! These are the first thoughts students will have upon spotting this tent. A steam train locomotive styled as if it were ripped from history, a fresh make of those in the 1800s. The tall black frame of the conductor's cars has the only entrance. Behind this appears to be another car filled with coal. The side of the container holding coal is marked "Polar Express" in deep gold: the same deep gold is the colour of all accents on the train, from the door handle to the frames of the darkened windows. Upon stepping inside, students are greeted by an area filled with silky red seats. An enchanted kettle floats around filling any student's empty mug with hot chocolate. Tables made of mahogany are between each pair of seats. Four tables in total fill the tent, with enough room to sit four students at a table. What better place to sit down, snack, and drink bottomless hot chocolate with your tent-mates? When the events of the day are at an end, and students wish to rest their weary heads, the tables will fold into the walls of the tent, and the seats will fold out into individual sized beds. As the bed folds out, silky red sheets will drape the bed and black pillows will pop onto the head of the bed with the exact firmness the occupant desires. You'll be drifting asleep to the soft ambient noise of a train chugging along a railroad, your bed swaying softly as you take the train to dreamland.	SNOW FORT Reducio By far the most imposing of the tents, the Snow Fort tents are, as the name implies, less of actual tents and more of small, chilly fortresses composed of dozens of unmelting ice bricks. The whole structure gives off a notable chill, putting the area surrounding it at odds with the hot summer sun beating down on the rest of the stadium. A small, enchanted ice sculpture of two duellists locked in eternal battle stands vigil outside the entrance, the glowing inscription on the plinth denoting the building to be "Snow Fort Tent #X". Upon entering the tent, it would be impossible not to notice the massive duelling piste in the center of it, a raised platform of pure ice and snow that, should a duellist find themself slipping off of it, would likely be both painful and embarrassing. Behind the piste is a miniature fort within the fort, a separate room built of ice and snow that acts as a private, sound proofed room with a desk and a few scattered loveseats for any occupants who aren't keen to have to spend the whole month listening to their tent-mates solve their problems through combat. While they may look as frosty as the rest of the tent, the eight beds forming a circle around the tent's edges are actually warm and plush, making it hard to avoid just sinking into them and spending your whole day there. With their convenient placement facing the piste, you don't even have to get out of bed to watch the fun!
SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE Reducio On the outside, the tent is patterned with beautifully embroidered ocean waves in various shades of blue, ranging from the deepest navy to the brightest cerulean. An odd warmth radiates from this tent, and it seems to glow slightly, almost like the sun itself. It's a little slice of true summer in the midst of a July-and-August winter, and those who pull the tent flaps to open them will find them to be warm to the touch, like the tent has been sitting in the hot sun all day. Upon stepping inside, one will be hit with a blast of pleasantly warm, salt-scented air and humidity. Curly hair, beware! Take off your shoes at the entrance and feel the sandy floor beneath your toes. The tent is much taller than it is wide, and through the far wall, you can even see the ocean lapping against an enchanted shore, the sun shining brightly down on the salty waves. Maybe one of these windows swings open and you can find a way to go swimming... A three-story wall of blue-and-white-striped beds lines one side of the tent, and residents can choose to either climb the stairs or the ladder to get into their bunks for the night. Don't worry, the sheets are charmed to repel sand and water so you'll stay comfortable and dry all night! Some tables and comfortable wicker chairs line the other wall for seating purposes, and these are always stocked with refilling platters of sandwiches, soft drinks, and other summery snacks. STARGAZER Reducio You may be hard-pressed to find your way back to this tent if you've snuck out in the middle of the night, as the fabric of the tent has been charmed to blend in exceptionally well with the night sky, its cool, inky black surface covered with constellations, distant planets, and the occasional meteor shower and shooting stars. The area around the tent is set up for those astronomy-inclined campers who may be residing inside, with telescopes, star charts, and observation chairs set up around the tent's plot. Behind the observation area is a small broom rack, with enough space to hold one broom for each of the tent's occupants. The sign indicating which tent this is don't use numbers, but rather each Stargazer tent is denoted by its own specific constellation. Inside the tent, your attention will first be drawn to the rather peculiar ceiling: a perfect replica of the night sky twinkles above, displaying the winter sky on even days, the summer sky on odd days, and a beautiful facsimile of the northern lights every weekend. In the very back of the tent is - surprise! - another, smaller tent! Inside rests a small reading nook, with shelves dominated by dozens of books on astronomy, from the more standard non-fiction you'd use when revising for astronomy class, to the astrological mythology of various cultures, and even some fiction offerings. One book, black as night with embossed golden lettering, bears only an illustration on the cover depicting the constellation after which your specific tent is named, and makes a curious rattling sound when you shake it. Eight sleeping bags in shades of blue and red are scattered around the tent, as well as eight chairs to sit back, relax, and enjoy the stars. Fireflies, or at least the impressive mimicry of them, dance around the room, and you swear you can see a flash of gold every so often out of the corner of your eye. A small bonfire rests in the center of the room, filling the tent with gentle warmth and the ambient sounds of crackling logs. This tent may require mild moderation. WINTER CARNIVAL Reducio The tent, designed to resemble a classic circus big top, bursts with bright, cheerful colours that stand out beautifully against the green surroundings. The exterior, adorned with whimsical patterns and twinkling lights, promises a world of fun and excitement within. The entrance, a grand, welcoming archway, invites you to step inside and experience the magic of a winter carnival in the warmth of summer. Inside, the tent is a carnival wonderland brought to life. The walls are draped in bold, colourful fabrics, and every corner is decked out with festive carnival decorations. Strings of lights crisscross the ceiling, casting a warm, enchanting glow. At the heart of the tent, a large, crackling fire invites you to gather round for marshmallow roasting and storytelling. Surrounding the fire are cosy sofas, perfect for relaxing with friends. The air is filled with the tantalizing aroma of freshly popped popcorn, and a popcorn machine stands ready to serve up this classic carnival treat. For sleeping arrangements, the tent features charming bunk beds lining the walls. Each bunk is decorated with colourful, playful bedding, ensuring a cosy and fun sleeping experience. The beds are arranged to maximize space and provide easy access to the central fire, so you can fall asleep to the comforting sound of crackling flames.	YULE LOG Reducio Coloured the dark green of fresh pine needles, the Yule Log tent is covered in a fine layer of soft, newly-fallen snow and gently glowing from the strings of magical lights that adorn it. The whole area feels as though it's in a sort of stasis, as if the entire universe is holding its breath in anticipation of something as of yet unknown. From within, the sounds of birdsong and rustling leaves tends to filter out, and at night time the sounds of hooting owls and a crackling bonfire can often be heard. The stump of a pine tree stands next to the tent, the name and number of the tent carved into it with room left underneath for the occupants to carve their own names. Stepping inside the tent, you'll immediately be greeted by the satisfying crunch of snow under your shoes, the chill of the air offset by the roaring bonfire in the center of the room, magically heating up the tent far past what a normal fire would be capable of doing. The tent is alight with floating lanterns and petite balls of miniature light, and the ceiling's been enchanted so that it looks like there isn't any ceiling at all. In its place are dark, towering trees, revealing glimpses of a cloudy, snow filled sky. Careful where you walk! More than one of these trees are hiding a mistletoe sprig or two within their branches. If you don't pay enough attention to your surroundings, you may find yourself magically caught underneath one. Rather than beds, eight large cushions, reminiscent of sleeping bags, are laid out close to the fire (don't worry, they're charmed not to burn)! They're close another to allow the occupants to share stories and gossip around the fire, but are perfectly moveable should any of your tent-mates snore. The ingredients for s'mores are in ready supply, as are little bottles of powder that can be thrown into the bonfire to change its colour whenever you please.
