Potion | Murtlap Essence
Ingredients required | Honey, Dried Nettles, Murtlap Tentacles, Graphorn Horn
Roleplay (200 words min) |ReducioBea wasn't one to usually sit down in front of a cauldron, but her healing internship demanded it. Well not really. Nurse Sabo didn't demand anything. She supplied everything from her cupboards of supplies. Probably for quality control, Bea mused. How did she know that some random potion a student pulled out of their pocket would heal and not harm?
It didn't matter though. Beatrice needed the experience of brewing healing potions, and time was ticking down. She knew through letters to her parents that she was going to go home to her grandparents, her muggle grandparents, for the Summer. And then she wouldn't be able to brew anything whilst she was there.
As she sat in front of her cauldron, cold as the stone beneath her, she read the potion instructions aloud. "3 measures of honey." In went the honey, sticky, golden goo falling from the spoon in her hand. She then turned on the cauldron to a low heat as instructed and let it simmer until it was a sugary mess at the bottom of her cauldron. The nettles, 1 measurement, went in next. Beatrice stirred the mixture 3 times clockwise. Then she turned back to her chopping board. The murtlap tentacles were wriggling around. Somewhere there was a small delight in using her small knife to chop the wriggling things up. In they went. She then left the potion to simmer, noting the time as it was only supposed to simmer for 25 minutes.
Whilst she waited for that, Beatrice grabbed the graphorn horn from her satchel and placed it into the mortar. It was quite a large ingredient and Bea cursed a little under her breath as her shoulders moved, grinding the horn into a fine powder. Then, she waited.
Once the 25 minutes was up, Bea added a measurement into the cauldron and stirred again, this time anti-clockwise. She then let it simmer for 10 minutes. Once that was done, she waved her wand and finished the potion. As per the instructions, she bottled the potion and corked it, leaving it on the cold stone to cool down before putting it into her bag. She didn't particularly want to burn herself on the way back to her Common Room.

Potion | Blackfire Potion
Ingredients required | Sprigs of Mint, Bursting Mushrooms, Salamander Blood, Dried Wartcaps
Roleplay (200 words min) |ReducioSomething about fire called to her. The warmth, the glow. It soothed her. It was just a pity that it hurt so much. She'd decided after the numerous instances at the Hogwarts Balls that this potion was drastically needed. Usually at one of those things, something ended on fire. And it wouldn't be her next time.
It was a bright, clear day outside, and usually Bea would be out there amongst the greenery. Today was different. She'd purposefully set aside today for potion brewing. Grabbing her cauldron and bag of ingredients, she set herself up in one of the empty classrooms so that no one could disturb her.
Starting, she crushed the mint leaves into a paste and added it to the cauldron, along with the sliced bursting mushrooms. She was thankful they had been previously deactivated. She didn't particularly want to be harmed today. She could just imagine Nurse Sabo's deadpan look if she walked into the Hospital Wing. One of her own interns hurt by being stupid. Bea sighed as she stirred the potion three times clockwise. This would have been a lot better with a partner, and once more, Bea wished @Hunter Argentum was here. Even though they hadn't gotten along, his potions knowledge was far superior to hers. And they had called a truce of sorts... But he'd disappeared like smoke in the wind. She barely saw him these days.
As she finished her pondering about Hunter, she waved her wand and let it simmer for on a high heat for 10 minutes. In the meantime, she crushed her dried wartcaps in preparation. When the 10 minutes was over, she turned the heat to low and added the salamander blood. She stirred again, anti-clockwise, counting them as she went, "One. Two. Three..." Next she tipped in the powder of wartcaps she had prepared earlier. Bea then meticulously counted the 20 seconds needed, and turned off the heat. She then stirred again for seven times clockwise. Picking up her wand she waved it over the cauldron, completing the potion. In it went into her free vials. Hunter, she suspected, would be quietly proud.

Potion | Anti-Paralysis Potion
Ingredients required | Syrup of Hellebore, Stewed Mandrake, Unicorn Horn, Moondew, Honeywater
Roleplay (200 words min) |ReducioThe mandrake she had already prepared, stewed overnight so it was soft and squishy. She'd chopped it early this morning in her dorm before starting this potions venture. It had brought back memories of having done something in a similar vain with Hunter Argentum back in second year, and Bea felt a pang of something. It wasn't sadness. Surely not for Argentum. But Bea did miss their sparring.
Adding in first the Syrup of Hellebore and then the required measurement of mandrake, she stirredit altogether for 30 seconds. She then placed the cauldron on a medium heat for a couple of minutes so that it could boil together. This wasn't her first potion she had made this year outside of the potions classroom, and Bea was amazed at how much she liked it. No wonder Hunter liked doing this. And her Nan too, bless her soul.
As the potion bubbled away, Beatrice pulverised the unicorn horn until it was a fine white powder in her bowl. She didn't want to think about the magical creature it had come from. Unicorns were one of the special ones. The creatures her Da had read to her about when she was a little child. Ones that her Ma had spoken with reverence about. Trying to cast aside the morbid and depressing thoughts, she added a tablespoon when the two minutes was up. Next went in the Moondew.
And then Bea regretted it. Thick clouds of steam rose from the cauldron, which set her eyes watering. Rubbing them, she stepped back until all the steam had evaporated. Sniffing, she then poured in honey water, a mixture of some leftover honey and water from the bathroom taps, stirring all the while this mixture was being added. She waved her wand, leaving the potion to brew for a while. Bea then decided to clean her equipment. Once that was done, she pulled out a roll of parchment, finishing off some of her homework notes from Charms class. Fumbling on an incantation for the third try, the parchment becoming a black splodge, Bea gave up in an irritated huff. Checking her watch, she noted that 45 minutes had passed since she set the potion on to boil and it had turned a golden amber colour. She traded her quill for her wand and waved it over the cauldron. Once the potion cooled, she bottled it up, ready to begin the next potion.

Tonight would be the fourth night in a row spent in the Prefect’s Bathroom, and therefore her last, brewing healing potions and pastes for Simon’s birthday (which was now less than 2 weeks away). She had already brewed the Calming Draught and the Antidotes to both Common and Uncommon Poisons for his healer armamentarium in the making. He would gratefully, and happily, accept them as something to help others, and that was more than fine by AngelFyre, but she saw them at this point in time as one of her only ways to help keep her boy safe should anything befall him again as it had over winter break. She did not know what had happened to him exactly... or who might be responsible... as Simon himself did not recall the events that led to his injuries, but he did recall walking for miles, in pain, to find himself at his "father's" castle.
Even under that strain and the pain from what turned out to be a couple of broken ribs, he had his wits about him enough that he did not to seek help from the vampire coven within the castle, and AngelFyre was forever grateful for that decision on his part. He instead asked to be taken back home to London. That meant enduring an agonizing journey spent bouncing around in a horse drawn carriage while traveling over a rutted, less than pristinely smooth road. When that finally came to an end, he was faced with even more long hours that would have to pass, on a train, before relief would come his way.
She, of course, saw red when she learned he had been hurt and missing for days before showing up at the castle nearly a week after he should have originally arrived, and no one had ever bothered to let his Aunt know he had never shown up as expected. It crossed her mind that Simon might think the results of these brews of hers were just a start for him to be able to help others, but in truth, AngelFyre wanted him to have them handy for his own health and safety. She simply did not feel the need to harp on her reason for doing so. He was a smart lad and likely would figure it out himself.
Her focus this evening would be on her favorite of the four brews, namely because after having been set afire in dueling, AngelFyre could truly appreciate the relief that came from the burn-healing paste. Everything was laid out before her on the blanket; clean, prepped, and ready to go. She tossed the 3 Murtlap tentacles into the cauldron, and reached for her knife, beginning to chop the slick seaweed into small pieces. When done, she placed a glob of the slimy goop into her mortar and began to crush it into a paste. As more and more of the pieces were crushed, making space for additional seaweed globs within the mortar, she was able to add enough seaweed to yield 4 spoonfuls of seaweed paste, which she then added to the cauldron. Stopping momentarily to flex her wrist and fingers, and to wipe the goo off of her hand, she then reached for her spurtle and stirred the Murtlap Tentacles and Seaweed paste exactly 3 times, in a clockwise position, making sure that each tentacle was covered in the slimy seaweed substance.
With her wand she then magicked a flame under the burner and set it to a high heat. A quick, but deliberate, pass of her wand over the cauldron was made and she then let it brew for 35 minutes, after which the flame was extinguished. Next to be added to the mixture was a whole jar of honey. It smelled divine, but AngelFyre knew that it would also help to bind the ingredients. She also suspected that it would act as an antibacterial agent, keeping the paste itself from going bad over time, and maybe also helping to prevent infection on any burn to which it would be applied. After the honey had been added, she stirred everything again, but this time only 2 times, and again in a clockwise position.
She Incendioed another flame under the burner, setting it on a low heat setting, but timing it for 10 seconds exactly before quickly adding the 2 measures of Flobberworm Mucus to the cauldron. As wonderful as the honey smelled is exactly how not wonderful the Flobberworm Mucus smelled. She made a mental note to herself to bring a small jar of menthol with her on all future brews to place under her nose to help with the stomach turning odors. ugggggggh
She watched the brew conscientiously as it was now just a matter of time, letting it continue to heat on low as the liquid evaporated and the concoction reduced and melded together. She would occasionally stir as necessary, always in a clockwise direction, and then she finally felt the resistance against her spurtle she was looking for, signaling that the brew had obtained the desired thick, paste-like consistency.
The flame was extinguished beneath the cauldron for the last time, and a single sprig of Dittany was added to the warmed paste. AngelFyre was fascinated by Dittany. She loved the rich green of the waxy leaves and was amazed at its ability to grow new skin over shallow wounds. Of course that made it absolutely perfect in a burn healing-paste. She was not to stir the paste after adding the Dittany, so she just watched, a bit mesmerized at first, as it seemed to lay on top of the brew. Soon enough, however, it began to break down and was absorbed into the paste. At that point she reached for Godshall, her trusty wand, and waved it over the brew, imbuing it with her magic… and then with her love.
“Happy Birthday, mo chridhe (my heart). May you never have need to use any of these potions or pastes, but may they be a blessing to you, or whomever they are used upon, if you ever should have the need. Amen.”
She then quickly got the orange-colored paste (a color her younger self would have approved of greatly), packed into 4 airtight jars that were already pre-labeled with her own, handmade labels, scourgified her equipment, and got everything packed safely away into her satchel. As she was leaving the Prefect’s Bathroom to head back to her dorm room, it struck her that she was a bit sad knowing she would not be coming back here the following night. When she stopped to wonder why that was, she discovered it was not because she would miss the place, but the potioneering itself.
Hmmmm. That was something to ponder over the next few days, and she definitely would.

Potion | Muffling Draught
Ingredients required | 4 Drops of Lethe River Water, 2 Bat Spleens, 2 Eel Eyes, 3 Leeches
Approved, Zach ZaphiereRoleplay (200 words min) |
ReducioRenelle had acquired two new potions recently, the Forgetfulness Potion and Confusing Concoction. Surprisingly, they’d both turned out reasonably well - no explosions or anything. Evidently, this was proof of her Potions genius, and thus naturally, it was time for Number 3.
This time, Renelle elected for the Muffling Draught. Who knew if she might get tired of someone babbling on and on someday, and this would be a means of getting herself out if the situation might arise. Very useful.
According to her trust textbook, the first step was to add 4 drops of Lethe River Water to her cauldron. Renelle did so carefully, and then, continuing to reference the recipe, finely diced 2 Bat Spleens and added them to her cauldron. She stirred clockwise twice, and it was time to set it on high heat then leave the mixture to brew for 10 minutes.
The waiting was as painful as ever, but at last it was over. Reducing the heat to a low shimmer, Renelle added 2 Eel eyes to the cauldron (these ingredients really were quite random, weren’t they?), and stirred anti-clockwise, two times. She then ground 3 leeches into a sticky paste on the mortar, and added 3 spoonfuls of said paste into the cauldron.
Renelle stirred the potion five more times, anti-clockwise. With that, only the last few finishing steps were necessary. The Ravenclaw set her cauldron on medium heat and left it to brew for what she felt was a ridiculously long 30 minutes.
The last step; Renelle waved her wand over the cauldron, a gesture quickly becoming familiar to her. Finished!

Potion | Antidote to Uncommon Poisons
Ingredients required | 2 Fire Seeds, 3 Chizpurfle Carapaces, 2 Billywig Stings, 3 Measures of Powdered Graphorn Horn
Approved, Zach ZaphiereRoleplay (200 words min) |
ReducioIn the magical world, there was no shortage of uncommon and dangerous plants or animals. It was almost commonplace to stumble upon them nowadays. This got Renelle thinking - what if she, one day, found herself victim to one of those delightful creatures? If that happened, maybe it would be wise to have some sort of antidote, just in case.
See, the sorting hat did put her in the right house after all.
The antidote for uncommon poisons was slightly more complicated than the one for common poisons, but Renelle tended to be a 'go big or go home' kinda girl. Another lovely Saturday morning, and she headed down to the Potions classroom, pumped for what laid ahead.
The first step was crushing 2 Fire Seeds on the mortar until it broke into pieces, then adding them to the cauldron. Carefully referencing the recipe, she split open 3 Chizpurfle carapaces and added them to her cauldron. 5 counter-clockwise stirs, and it was time to crush the two Billywig Stings, and add the powder into the cauldron.
So far so good. Renelle would be so annoyed if she accidentally tipped the cauldron over at this stage, or dropped her wand into the brewing potion, or something like that. Especially since she liked her wand, and she doubted getting boiled in an incomplete potion would do anything good for it. And those ridiculously expensive ingredients simply could not go to waste.
She stirred twice clockwise, and waved her wand over the mixture. Setting it to low heat, it was time for her least favourite part of every potion-brewing experience once more - the waiting.
The potion brewed for a very long hour. Renelle hadn’t been sure if she was going to make it, but here they were. The next step was adding 3 measures of powdered graphorn horn to her cauldron, and then boiling on high heat for, luckily, only 20 seconds.
When that was done, Renelle took the cauldron off the flame, then stirred for the last time - three times, clockwise. A wave of her wand, and it was finished!

Potion | Baneberry Potion
Ingredients required | Angel’s Trumpet flowers, Butterscotch, Camphirated spirit, Devil’s snare, Dragonflies, Fanged Geranium, Flitterby moths
Roleplay (200 words min) | The first thing she did when she stepped inside her Notting Hill apartment was enter her potions room. Ingredients lined the shelves situated on the walls. Cauldrons, all of different sizes and shapes sat on her work bench. All were sparkling clean. Not a dust in sight. Dusana sighed happily. Merry really was good at her job.
She placed her bags down, knowing that in just a few short weeks she would have them packed and off to the center of London for Summer Camp. She wanted to have a good arsenal, just in case. Her first almost year had taught her that. Attacked twice, numerous student injuries including a stabbing and gauged eye. Dusana shook her head. Twelve months at the school as staff wasn't even up. No wonder there was a long list of Nurses before her.
She picked up her potions book, filled to the brim with a list of potions and poisons. She hummed as the pages flicked, her fingers stopping on one specific page. Banesberry Potion. A poison. Just what she wanted. Rolling up her sleeves, she got to work. She heated the cauldron to a medium heat. First she placed the butterscotch into the cauldron, the slight pop and sizzle soothing to her ears. Next she poured in the Spirits, and then turned the heat to low. Whilst that simmered, she turned to the Angel's Trumpet. Remembering that she needed protection, she looked around for where Merry had placed them. Oh! There they were. Over by her bookshelf, probably where she herself had left them last November. Trotting over, she picked them up and placed them on. They were heavy, brown leather and felt stiff on her small hands. She wrinkled her nose. She really ought to bring them to Hogwarts. She'd get much more use out of them there. Turning back to her bench, she ripped up the Angel's Trumpet and tossed them into the cauldron. She then removed a singular glove, stirring the cauldron twice counter-clockwise.
Looking at her next instructions, Dusana sighed. The gloves would have to come off fully. She chopped up the fanged geranium and the devil's snare and placed them into the simmering potion. The heat was then turned up to medium. The flying creatures, flitterby moths and dragonflies were next. She ground them into a fine powder and added them in with the rest. To complete the potion, she stirred four times clockwise and then waved her wand over it. Dine and dusted. Another potion to add to her weapons. .

Potion | Essence of Dittany
Ingredients required | Dittany Extract, Shrake Spines, Water, Flobberworm Mucus, Standard Ingredient, Dittany Leaves
Roleplay (200 words min) | She sat in her office, watching the grey clouds outside shift across the sky. It wasn't that Dusana didn't have enough of this, but after the events of the last Ball, the young woman was shocked. How could one magical night turn into something so devastating? If she had this maybe things might be different for a few of the injured...
Which was why she was here at her potions bench. The Hospital Wing was relatively empty today, save for a few souls who had miraciously injured themselves and required assistance. Sighing, brain in a pensive mood, she got to work. She added the Dittany Essence to her cold and empty cauldron. She'd crushed the Shrake Spines already, her hand crushing the sharp spines into a fine powder as she was remembering the Ball and why she was doing this. Setting the cauldron to a high heat, she flipped her hourglass for 15 minutes and set out tidying the workspace. She was meticulous about this. Ever since that accident with one Professor @Meabh Regan, she didn't take any chances near her potion station.
Once the hourglass bottom was filled, Dusana turned the heat down to a medium and tipped in the water. She quickly stirred three times anti-clockwise, add in the flobberworm mucus, and stirred again, this time five times anti-clockwise. Next in went the Standard Ingredient and stirred again, once clockwise. So many things all at once, but Dusana was a pro. She'd been creating potions since she was eight years old, albeit with her Mother before her time at Hogwarts.
At the end of the creation, she turned the heat off and added two Dittany leaves. She watched as they sunk to the bottom, swallowed up by the bubbling liquid. Once she felt enough time had passed for them to have sunk to the bottom of the cauldron, she waved her wand over the potion and completed it. .

She'd been able to sneak into the garden shed with her mother for the second day in a row. It was hard, hiding all of this from her muggle grandparents. Her father had given some excuse that her mother and her were growing plants or some such nature and weren't to be disturbed. Penelope had locked the shed with magic whenever she wasn't in there. But today, it was open for the young girl to enter and participate in the activities.
Her mother had already started the potion, and as Bea looked at the notes on the bench realised what potion she was brewing. A drowsiness draught. Her mother was humming, in her element and smiled as Bea looked over the bench. "Want to help?" Bea nodded in response. Penelope Langstreth nodded towards the standard ingredient sitting on the bench. "Add a measure of that. I've already done the first half, chamomile and all that. It's been brewing for an hour now." Bea nodded again. There wasn't much to say. This potion was taught in second year, and Bea had previous experience in making it. The young girl added a measure of the ingredient, and her mother turned the temperature to high. Once two minute was up, Penelope handed Bea two Valerian sprigs which the girl tossed into the cauldron. She then picked up the ladle, stirring three times counter clockwise, then one time clockwise. Penelope picked up her wand and Beatrice watched as her mother waved it over the potion. Smiling towards her daughter, silently asked for a empty vial, which Bea gave her. The woman filled it and handed it to Bea.

Potion | Burn Healing Paste
Ingredients required |
3 Murtlap Tentacles
4 Spoonfuls of crushed Seaweed
1 Jar of Honey
2 Measures of Flobberworm Mucus
1 Sprig of Dittany
Roleplay (200 words min) |
ReducioOpeila's final potion was one she wished she had thought of making last year already. With all the fires that happened constantly, it would have been a logical first choice, but... better late than never, right?
Another potions lesson allowed for some free practice and Opeila was not going to waste that time. Again she started by preparing the ingredients. For this one she had gone to Hogsmeade and purchased an airtight jar that she now set on the table, her usual vials being not suitable to store the paste in.
Then she began cutting the seaweed into small pieces before filling all of it into her mortar and crushing it into a paste that was enough to make four spoonfuls. That was the only thing that needed preparation, none of the other ingredients needed to be cut or crushed at all, which Opeila was pretty grateful for. Next to the seaweed paste she placed a jar of honey, three murtlap tentacles, carefully measured the right amount of flobberworm mucus and finally went to find one single sprig of dittany.
The whole preparation took her 15 minutes at most, before she could finally start brewing. First she threw in the three Murtlap Tentacles, followed by the seaweed paste. Carefully she stirred clockwise three times before turning the heat up high and waved her wand over it. One glance to the clock told her how much time she had before following the next steps and as always, she used it to clean up her table.
The mortar and knife were cleaned with a quick scourgify and her table hadn't been that dirty to begin with, so that didn't take her more than two minutes. Eventually she started chatting with some classmates, assisting with one or the other potion- and almost forgot the time. At 38 minutes she remembered the potion that was still brewing and sprinted back to her table, but luckily it still looked fine. Quickly she turned off the heat and added the jar of honey to the cauldron.
After stirring clockwise two more times, she turned on the heat again, on low this time and watched the second-hand of the clock for precisely ten seconds. Then she added the measures of flobberworm mucus, leaning away from the cauldron in order to not be splashed by any of it. The less she had to do with flobberworm mucus, the better, she had always been pretty grossed out by the little slimy creatures.
She continued heating the potion and stirred clockwise every now and then, carefully watching the consistency of it. Once it had reached a paste like consistency, she turned off the heat completely and threw in the sprig of dittany.
Once it had dissipated, she waved her wand over it again and filled and sealed it in the airtight jar.

With how flammable Hogwarts often tended to be, no potions arsenal could really be complete without a reliable supply of Burn Healing Paste. As the school year drew to a close, Bex found herself scrambling to cross off everything on her to-do list, and as such if she wanted to brew any additional bottles before summer arrived, she'd have to sacrifice some of her rapidly dwindling free time to do it. As such, she made her way back down to the potions classroom after classes had ended for the day, lucking out in that the room seemed to be surprisingly empty for once.
After setting out her cauldron, she added three murtlap tentacles to the pot. Once that was taken care of, she set up her cutting board and began cutting up the seaweed into small enough pieces, so that, once it was done, she was able to easily crush it into a paste in her mortar. Once she had enough for four spoonfuls, she added it to the tentacles in her cauldron, and stirred three times clockwise. Putting the heat on high, she waved her wand over the rather aquatic mixture before pulling out the draft of her current Headliner article to work on while she waited.
After around thirty minutes, Bex turned off the heat before cracking open the lid on a jar of honey and pouring it into the mixture. She stirred twice clockwise before turning the heat back on again, this time at a much lower temperature. She let the potion sit for ten seconds, counting out loud, before adding two measures of Flobberworm mucus to the mixture. Keeping the heat steady, she began kept an eye on the mixture, stirring clockwise every-so-often until it had become rather paste-like. Once she was satisfied with it, she killed the heat for the final time and added a single sprig of dittany to the potion. She waved her wand over the potion and, once it had properly cooled, packaged it up into an airtight jar, sticking a messy, handwritten label to the side of it.

| ─DRAVEN MIRADOR / second year | POTION 1 OF 4 / ENCY LINK─ |
| ── | SLEEPING DRAUGHT INGREDIENTS4 sprigs of lavender 6 measures of standard ingredient 2 “blobs” of flobberworm mucus, 4 valerian sprigs 1 head of gillyweed Draven had run out of sleeping draughts halfway through his first month back. It had gotten bad, worse than he would have liked to admit, the dark circles under his eyes looking more and more like bruises with each night he spent staring unseeingly at the top of his bed. So it would come as no surprise to anyone who stumbled across him during potions class, to see the ingredients going into his cauldron. His finished tincture was sitting on the front of his desk, a perfect potion bottled up and shining in the candlelight as he worked. He'd finished the class assignment earlier than most, and had started up on a rather rushed sleeping draft. It was a quiet process, one he'd memorized the night before, when he'd spent hours pouring over the ingredients list. A list that was nowhere to be seen as Draven was crushing lavender and standard ingredient in his mortar, turning the herbs into a fine powder. In his cauldron, flobberworm mucus and standard ingredient were bubbling quietly, a rather unpleasant smell floating up to the celling of the potions classroom. They had two hours left of class. Barely enough time to brew the potion. Draven's lips were pressed in a thin white line as he added a few measures of the ingredient to the cauldron, waving his wand over the top of the mixture. There was not much left to do but wait. And wait. And wait. The gillyweed had all been prepared, separate measurements of standard ingredient lined up meticulously on Draven's table, his knife, mortar, and pestle clean and packed away. Minutes trickled by slowly, ticked away by a clock in the corner of the room. Draven rearranged the valerian springs on his table, having blocked out the teacher as she droned on at the front of the classroom, talking about the potion the rest of the class was still brewing. They say I watched pot never boils, but this pot did. What seemed like a millennia later, the hourglass Draven had set beside it let its last grain of sand flow down to the bottom. Heaving a sigh of relief, the boy dropped two more measures of standard ingredient in, stirring up the flames underneath the cauldron. 'Heat on high temperature for one minute' the potion spellbook had said. Even the one minute seemed to pass by too slowly. Eventually, Draven added the last of his ingredients in, valerian springs and gillyweed following one after the other, boiling up beautifully into a dark purple potion. The familiar lavender smell was overwhelming and Draven drained his cauldron in two crystal vials, slipping them in his coat before anyone could say anything. |
