The young Hufflepuff looked out of the window fixing her gaze at the bright white full moon before she twirled around and faced away.
The night was surely beautiful, rather enchanting, but what Violet did not understand was why she had still felt so uneasy to the point she felt as if she would choke and die if she fell asleep.
Violet was brought out of her thoughts as the Slytherin spoke up. She blinked, surprised. 'A phantom', he had said. He thought she was a phantom.
'A p-phantom? Really, now!', the young girl thought to herself.
Seeing the boy's dazed expression, she suddenly found it hard not to giggle and ended up bursting out. "I'm sure I'm tanned enough,to not look like a ghost." , Violet smiled. She knew the Slytherin felt instantly awkward as he realised his own words, pacing away from her. A giggle left her mouth again, "Oh really now, that is totally fine. It's past 12 am, what do you expect. Quite funny it was, however."
Violet paused as he asked her to repeat what he asked her to repeat what she had just said. She bit her lip trying to remember and mumbled,"O-oh I totally forgot what I was saying? W-what were we even talking about before?" The uneasiness she felt before, lay unforgotten.

My writing still sounds so rushed, welp. But here it is finally!

Seeing the girl's positive - or rather, hopefully positive - reaction to his mistake - or perhaps "faux pas" would have been a more accurate way to put it; a contained giggle that eventually crept into an open, wondrous, joyous, absolutely childish in the best way, laugh, bouncing off the walls into its own melody, a thousand times more delightful than the music. For some reason it was not a laugh Archer could return and he could only smile back as she jested, 'I'm sure I'm tanned enough to not look like a ghost.' He nodded as she continued, 'Oh really now, that is totally fine. It's past 12 am, what do you expect. Quite funny it was, however.' Turning his head to the ceiling as a smile spread its way across his face, Archer's laughter came easily this time, 'It is quite late,' he agreed, looking back towards the girl, unaware that he still had not yet introduced himself and getting utterly lost in the beautiful moment. He shook his head, 'I do not believe I have ever slept past the Witching Hour.'

'Oh I totally forgot what I was saying? What were we even talking about before?' She replied with some level of perplexity. 'I forgot as well,' Archer admitted, 'It is nothing to worry about...' he said, trailing off.

It suddenly occurred to Archer that despite the romantic value of whimsy to the night, dancing with a strange girl when he ought to be asleep was in fact, a ridiculous situation. If anyone had been watching, they would probably have giggled under their breath and ran off to tell their friends and gossip, that is if a prefect doesn't find them first. Suddenly, he stiffened and his thoughts trailed off at the single, blaring word: prefect. He had been so lost in the night that he had forgotten that despite the whim, a broken was still a broken rule and a broken rule often resulted in detention, a reminder that their lives were not the faerie tales they sought to live in the dance. 'Perhaps we should return to our dorms. We still have classes tomorrow, after all.'

@Violet Rohr Feel free to agree or disagree with going back to the dorms. That was only an IC suggestion.
