Who Wants To Be Friends With A Mudblood?
Camden blinked as she stepped into the sunlight of the courtyard.
Wow, she thought. This is beautiful.
She turned in a slow circle. Then she grabbed a book out of her bag and sat down on the edge of the fountain and began reading.
Dragons are extremely dangerous creatures. Keep at least a one-hundred foot distance between you and the dragon at all times. When you feed it, toss the food to it from a nearby tree. When you fly on it--nevermind. You don't fly.
Camden rolled her eyes and shut her book. What kind of a dragon-taming book was that?
Camden was extremely interested in animals, especially magical ones. She was trying to find more out about them, since she couldn't take Care of Magical Creatures yet. But all the books she was trying to read were basically trying to persuade her to give up her fascination with animals.
Camden sighed. She still hasn't made any friends yet. With, like, anyone. She'd met a few kids, sorta. But never talked to them again. She wanted a best friend. Someone who got her. And someone who could understand her Scottish accent.
Hey, it wasn't her fault nobody responded to her because they couldn't understand what she was saying. Camden sighed again. Being a Scottish Muggle-Born in Hogwarts was a bit of a predicament. She just wished someone, anyone, wanted to be her friend.

Who Wants To Be Friends With A Mudblood?
Aleah went to the courtyard after her first day of school. The day before, the grand sorting ceremony took place, and Aleah was glad to be sorted into Ravenclaw. She had to admit it, but she often had a great thrust for knowledge that gave a desire to get full marks in every assignment. It was no wonder that she would’ve been sported into this specific house.
Walking absent-mindedly, Aleah hoped that she would find a friend soon. As she always told herself, life isn’t right without a best friend to be with you all along, Aleah found herself in the courtyard, surrounded by the fresh air covering all the grassy fields. Once again, her mind drifted into her thoughts. Not long after, she found herself thinking, I think that I’ve done well in class today… hope that this is true …
Suddenly, Aleah spotted a figure at the distance. She wanted to find a friend to chat with, and it looked as though luck was coming to her. Grinning, she saw that it was a girl, sitting by the fountain, reading a book. A bookworm herself too, Aleah tried over to her without hesitation, beaming happily.
Hi! I’m Aleah, nice to meet you! She then glanced at the girl’s book. What’s that you’re reading?
She then waited for the girl to answer.

Who Wants To Be Friends With A Mudblood?
Camden looked up as a girl approached her.
"Oh, this?" She smiled. "An attempt by an author to explain how to tame dragons...it's a bit ridiculous, actually."
She flipped through the book showing the girl the ridiculous instructions written in the book.
Secretly, Camden was hoping that this girl could understand what she was saying. Her accent was especially thick at the moment because she hadn't been talking all afternoon.
She looked back up at the girl. "Oh, I'm Camden, by the way. And...let me know if you can't understand me. I know my accent is a bit...much. I'm from Scotland, you know."
She flipped through some more of the pages in the book. She was hoping, hoping, hoping that this girl would want to be her friend. She desperately needed someone to tell everything to. She was going to explode if she had to keep all this information in her brain to herself. Normally, she wasn't a very talkative person, but she had a feeling that if Aleah was her friend, the first few days might overwhelm her...there were lots of things she wanted to talk about. One in particular...but that was only if Aleah became very, very close.
Camden glanced back at the girl, waiting for a reply.
