When Rai admitted to be curious to the muggle world, Samantha gave a short but satisfied nod. It was a very interesting world, though not as interesting as the magical world for her. Growing up in the muggle world, Samantha was used to it and didn't find it very interesting anymore. However, she could imagine the concept of texts being very cool to people who are used to sending letters with owls. The mention of Raizel's grandparents made the third-year student shift uncomfortably. Samantha wasn't really good at dealing with things like this. She never knew what to say or do when somebody mentioned that a loved one had passed away.

The huge longing to go home that Samantha felt, was quite a contrast to what Raizel was describing. Sam, not being the best at understanding others, narrowed her eyes and a look of confusion appeared on her face. "That's weird," she said bluntly, not really thinking about how the other might perceive those words. "If you miss them, you should see them. It sounds like you are just trying to make yourself suffer." She shrugged, it didn't make any sense.

"I know all the spells," she said confidently. Of course, she didn't know all of them but she knew a lot. Too many to start mentioning now. "You can just ask me if you need help with a spell. I know too many to name them all. I even know some spells from the next year," she informed the younger girl proudly.

It does sound weird, especially with how she puts it and all Raizel could do was just grin sheepishly at Sam’s comment. She understands that reaction and yes, she is right in a way, she does sound like she’s just making herself suffer. If she would miss them, why’d she even insist on staying at Hogwarts during the holiday season where she could spend her time with her family? “Yeah…” she won’t argue with that one but like she explained earlier, it was all for the experience and maybe, in a way to get used to being independent. She can’t always have her parents by her side after all. The time will come when she would have to leave them to venture on her own and there will be a time where they too will leave her.

If that was the case then perhaps next time she should instead focus on more ways to spend time with them. Maybe next time, she’ll do that. That thought made her pause for a brief second, looking like she was deep in thought as she stared down, a hint of sadness in those eyes of hers but that quickly disappeared the moment Sam said something about spells and that she can ask her about them. She even know some spells for next year? That’s even more brilliant. “Then expect me to come running to you to ask for them.”

This talk about spells though is just making her more eager to practice and she too had learned spells, advance spells. “Okay, think I’ll go do some spell casting practice. You just inspired me to do so.” the Gryffindor said, crawling out of the fort and standing up, a bright smile present on her face. “Guess I’ll see you later and it was nice meeting you.” Raizel said with a grin, giving some one last wave before going on her way.
