A Place To Relax
It had been a long day of classes and more classes. Maya could barely stay awake in every class, except for Herbology. She decided it would be best if she went to relax at the lake.
Finaly, I can relax! Maya thought leaning agaist a tree. Might as well swim. So she did. Maya took off her robes and wore a plain baige T-Shirt and jeans. She grabbed her glasses and placed them on her robes.
The water was cold, but it was nice. Maya dove under water, her curly, wild hair flowing behind her. She popped up to catch a breath and to make sure her robes were still there. They were, so Maya dove back under. She went farther out into the lake and it got deeper as she went. When she saw bubbles rising from the water, Maya swam back to shore. She didn't want to risk getting caught by any wierd animals. The water was starting to get really cold, so Maya got out. Her T-Shirt and jeans were soaked! She rapped her robes around her and resumed her spot at the tree. Hopefully nobody is here. Maya thought calmly. She picked up one of her books and read about Herbology. Maybe hogwarts wasn't so bad.

A Place To Relax
Going for walks outside was one of her favorite things to do after classes. It was a way for her to wind down and not think so much about academics. Journal in hand, she started towards the great lake. There were a few good memories there already and whenever she walked by, she liked to reminisce about the time she and her friends had gone swimming in the lake at night. Later on, when she was old and grey though it was hard to imagine now, she hoped to tell her own children about it. It proved that she wasn't Miss Perfect which she had heard whispered about her in the corridors sometimes. Only her friends knew that she had broken rules to go out and see the stars.
Dymphna breathed in the chilly air that had her hair whipping about. The weather would only get closer now. Soon, snow would fall and the lake would freeze over. Maybe she would even be able to get her figure skates delivered in case they went ice skating. It would be good fun to show her friends how to skate if they didn't already. "Oh, hello," she noticed that someone else was there. No one else had ever been out before when she had walked down, probably because it felt colder down by the water. "Have you been out here long?" It looked as though the girl had been since her hair had started to form a few icicles.
