Day of Rain
Feeling empowered and energized, Atlas waited with bated breath as she saw Lavinia quickly racing over to her. Loosening her grip on her broom, Atlas waited to see which hoop the girl would go for but to her surprise, the throw had been soft but Atlas couldn't pass up an opportunity to try out her signature move again.
Sprinting downwards, Atlas punted the quaffle into the air, kicking up off her broom as she kicked the quaffle in the air and rocketed towards Annie. Landing safely back on her broom, Atlas tried her best to dim her smile to no avail. No matter how the game ended she was going to be proud of her performance today as she heard a couple of her teammates cheering her on from the benches.
Annie had taken the quaffle from Atlas' kick and passed it to Aaron who had expertly performed a Finborough Flick winning the Hufflepuffs 10 points. Screaming loudly, Atlas cheered for her incredible team thankful she was a part of their wacky and overly competitive family.
Her cheering was cut short as she saw Lavinia coming in for another goal hoping to redeem her previous throw. Narrowing her eyes, Atlas watched as she saw the girl ever so slightly turn to the left before throwing the quaffle. Swooping up just in the nick of time, Atlas blocked the throw quickly tossing the quaffle to Annie.
Nodding, Atlas was worried that her excitement would soon be crushed or get the better of her causing her to fumble so she tried her best to remain calm and keep her head in the game (HSM reference heavily applied).
Pulling her from her inner thoughts, a loud whack and impact reverberated through the pitch. Her focus pulled to the other side of the pitch where she watched as Miranda and Neculai plummeted to the ground. Wincing in pain, Atlas could only imagine the pain they were in but still, she couldn't help putting her fist in the air in approval of her teammate's gnarly play.
Everyone always underestimated Puffs but that only made them play twice as hard. The announcer shouted over the crowd that Ethen had found the snitch as she squinted seeing her best friend zooming in a new direction. "YES YES YES!!! YOU GOT THIS TEBO!!!!! GO!!!" She screamed knowing her voice would damn near be gone the next day.

Cassius winced as his team took some brutal hits, one of which took his team's first string seeker out of the match. That was unfortunate but he didn't seem to be having that great of a match anyways. Hopefully the second string seeker would have better luck. Cassius hoped both Neculai and Miranda were okay after that particularly brutal hit.
Still on the bench, Cassius cheered his team on with enthusiasm, shouting some words of encouragement to Rohan for some great keeping so far.

Neculai already in serious pain from last hit was holding on to Miranda with all of his might. Trying to stay on the broom. Yet, it would seem that the Badgers wouldn't know any mercy this time. Another bludger was sent their way and before Neculai realised it he was already mid air plummeting to the cold, hard ground. Bracing for impact and hoping that his team could still win the game.

Ow. That was pretty much all Miranda had to say.
The world seemed to move slowly, every raindrop freezing with individual clarity - for a second. Then the pain finally hit home and she was knocked from her broom by the bludger one of the Hufflepuff beaters had sent her way.
After that...well, it was a long fall to the ground. The only thought Miranda had before she blacked out was that it hadn't taken her very long to be taken out. More practice would be in order.

Aaron continued flying around the pitch, and he even scored a goal this round! This tied up the game and he was beyond impressed with how the team was doing now. Atlas' first game as keeper and she had blocked so many goal attempts from the Ravenclaws! And a glance at Ethen showed that he seemed to have seen the snitch! This game was going their way, and no way could they slow down now!

He did it! He blocked another goal! Rohan was now really proud of himself (and a bit of his team), for letting through none of the attempts! He didn't even notice the rain anymore, and felt really in his element during the whole of the match. He very much hoped that they would win, but that was very probable with his team! Neculai, his captain and the teams seeker, had fallen off his broom, and was knocked out? Or so it seemed? He hoped he was okay. He did see some other things happen, but it wasn't completely clear through the rain. He just hoped there were no serious injuries.

Jorah aimed at Quinn, smacked the bludger, sent it flying and .....MISS! How did I miss! Hes huge! What had happened? Had the summer made Jorah this rusty? They couldn't afford any more foul ups. Things weren't lucking good for them. Channeling the spirit of a certain animated fish, Jorah whispered under his breathe, "just keep swinging, just keep swinging." That was exactly what he was going to do. Jorah turned his broom around and made haste.

They had successfully knocked the opposite chaser and seeker down! “Woooo that’s fantastic!” She yelled. “C’mon badgers, you are the best!” it was quite unusual for the girl to cheer so loud. But today was different. This was their first match this season, and she believed that the badgers should be winning. Also their own seeker seemed had spotted the snitch. This was just brilliant!

Perhaps emboldened by this goal, Aaron swooped in and snatched the Quaffle himself, determining that Ravenclaw WAS NOT going to get a single point more than they had already.
"And Aaron takes the Quaffle! This boy's seen some SERIOUS action today! Hufflepuff better throw him a party for all the legwork he's putting in this match! ...... Legwork? Broomwork?Whatever! Point is, the guy's the Chaser MVP for the badgers. Can he make a- Wait! Where'd Rohan go?! Aaron has a clear shot! Aaaand of course he gets a goal, no one's there to stop him!"
Now, it seemed that Aaron began to get a bit cocky. This time, he dove at the Quaffle, backflipped and kicked it away from Cecily, up into the air. Afterward, he grabbed the Quaffle in a front flip, and sped toward the umanned goals.
"Okay hermano, now yer just showing off. Another uncontested goal for Hufflepuff!!"
Then came Lavinia, trying to make Reid go away. Real pity she missed.
"And Lavinia Cloven on a blatch attempt! Emphasis on 'attempt'. Reid is just too damn good!"
The ref blew his whistle.

[font=PT Serif]Five for five. They started the season strong, he could hardly believe it and at this point, losing felt like nothing. Reid found it beyond him to see anyone break the record that Hufflepuff solidified now, a total dominance in the first season of Quidditch, a championship under their belt to boot, and now the opening game to the second season. This was everything he needed this year, to start the year strong.
His hits were precise, his arm was devastating, and he found himself surprised to even have stayed on the broom in the first place. So Reid raised his bat and gave off a long winded shout as he soared past his fellow badgers in the stands. Yellow jackets be damned, ❝ LET'S GOOOOOOO! ❞ Reid found that enough, he cut the victory lap short and flew down to check on Quinn and Ethen. He touched down on the sand and jogged up to the attending medics, most likely exiting with them too as well.
