Day of Rain
Howard would lose all track of what was happening elsewhere on the Quidditch pitch as his eyes were glued to Ethen. As soon as he had darted off, Howard knew he had spotted the Snitch. He held his breath as their Seeker stretch out his arm and inched closer and closer to the little fleck of gold that tore through the air. Any moment now! He is so close!
BLAM!
A series of foul words would escape his lips as a Bludger slammed into the Ethen. He could only look on as his body fell from the broom and plummeted to the ground. The sickening sound of flesh slamming against soil would soon follow. This sport seriously needs to consider security nets. Just as Howard was about to look back to the game, Ethen’s hand would rise into the air. “Holy crap! He’s got it!” Howard shouted as he threw his arms into the air. With a mad dash he would make his way out onto the pitch and attempt to help Ethen up off the ground. If there weren’t any bones sticking out that is. If Ethen were to accept his help, Howard would swing an arm around his shoulder and march off the field in victory. If not, he would still make his way off the field.

Day of Rain
With the snitch in his eye, there was no chance that Ethen was going to let it out of his sight. He knew that he would be a target now and needed to get it before the enemy beaters had a chance to obliterate him. As planned, Ethen connected with the masterful specimen known as Quinn. "Big badger time!" Ethen yelled out as he and Quinn performed a glorious Alley Oop to launch Ethen at the snitch.
Ethen couldn't help but laugh as he was propelled forward and in range to snatch the speedy and sneaky snitch while snickering sadistically. However, as his eyes focused on the snitch it darted down just as pain erupted in Ethen's side. He hadn't seen who launched the bludger at him but the pain was immediate and propelled him from his broom. Shouting with pain, he kept his neck cranked to stay focused on the snitch and launched his arm out desperately as he began to fall.
Despite how high up they were, it seemed that Ethen was able to quickly greet the ground with his body. Landing with an audible thud that sapped all of the air from his lungs. His body felt numb but his right hand was clenched around something hard. Wincing and groaning, Ethen lifted his arm momentarily in the air. Peering up at his outstretched hand, Ethen cracked a soft smile as she saw the gold glisten off the snitch perched between his fingers.
Ethen wanted to scream with joy and excitement. He wanted to jump up and down in excitement but he couldn't muster even a slight groan of celebration. Instead, darkness swiftly moved in to claim his vision as Ethen quickly fell unconscious from the combined injuries. Some might be concerned by the damage but Ethen would consider it a well-earned victory nap. His arm fell limp and back to the ground leaving him to the mercy of any teammates willing to aid him off to the medical wing.

Day of Rain
The icy rain was really starting to get to Atlas as she felt an uncontrollable shiver rip its way down her spine. She had been playing surprisingly well in her favorite weather but she wanted nothing more than to dry off in front of the fireplace.
Lost in her train of thought, Atlas saw Cecily at the last moment as she quickly swooped up throwing the quaffle cleanly through one of the hoops, as Atlas reached the hoop just a second too late. "UGH!" Atlas scoffed digging her nails into her broom as she shook her head angry at herself for letting her mind wander.
Trying not to let the score get to her, a veritable challenge, Atlas flew in front of the center hoop looking out at the pitch as she waited to have another Eagle attempt a shot. "No way is she getting another...over my dead body..." The young girl grumbled as she watched Aaron get hold of the quaffle and fly towards the opponent's goals.
Where is Rohan...
An easy uncontested goal from her teammate lifted her spirits as he flourished about sending yet another goal into their hoop. Turning her head, Atlas saw Ethen and Quinn preparing for an Alley Oop as Quinn sent Ethen sailing towards the snitch just before getting blatched by Rohan.
"NO! QUINN! " Atlas winced as she watched her captain fall to the ground. Quickly turning her attention back to Ethen, she could feel her heart racing as she knew her best friend was now unprotected.
A loud gasp escaped her lips as she saw a bludger racing towards Ethen before smashing into him knocking him off his broom. Her whole chest seized as she had to use every ounce of resistence to stay by the hoops instead of attending to Ethen. The bludger ricocheted off of Ethen and slammed into Aaron also knocking him from his broom as her throat clenched; tears already forming in her eyes masked by the torrential downpour.
"OOOOH And there goes Ethen! Yet another victim of Kovacs! I guess we're gonna see more of-.... Wait. He's holding his hand up on the ground. He's still conscious? What a trooper! Wait a second... HAAA! Ethen got it! Ethen Emrys has caught the Snitch! Hufflepuff wins!!
"Wha--oh my god...OH MY GOD! YES!" Atlas cried out as she wasted no time diving down to the ground as she hopped off her broom and raced over to Ethen's still body.
"Ethen! Hey Tebo...you did it you crazy monkey...you did it!"
Every fibre in her being wanted to pick him up and hug him but she had no idea what kind of injuries he sustained as she bit down on her lip gently touching his back as the medics raced out onto the field carefully hoisting him onto a stretcher.
Atlas quickly turned to face the pitch, so overjoyed that they were continuing their winning streak as she ran her foot over the wet grass conflicted emotions racing through her. She pictured this moment differently and although she was scared for Ethen she knew he was in good hands as she raced after the medics to be with Ethen in the Hospital Wing.

Day of Rain
Just as River got up into the air, gripping her broom tight, she scanned the area, hoping to spot the little golden snitch as soon as possible. It didn’t take long before a barely visible glimt of something small flashed a little over on the pitch. Without a second though she began speeding toward it, eyes squinting in determination.
She was not pleased when she noticed the hufflepuff seeker was also headed straight for the snitch too, and she tried her best to speed up in hopes of somehow managing to reach it before her opponent did. He was gaining on the gold irritating little thing, faster than she was, and within moments he had managed to catch it before her very eyes.
She slowed to a sudden halt as her jaw tensed in frustration, but she still gave the seeker a court smile and a nod. It was impressive nonetheless, she just hoped her time on the pitch would have lasted a tad bit longer than it did. There would always be a next time, and til then she would for sure work on her flying. The game was over, and River lowered to the ground before hopping of her broom and taking her leave back to the castle.[Exits Thread]

Day of Rain
This... this was it. This was the moment that the team had been training for the second they had gotten back to Hogwarts. The pressure was on them to continue with their winning streak, and they had no intention of going down without a fight- after all, badgers definitely knew how to fight if they needed to. Ami screamed in adrenaline-fueled, joyous rage as she saw the Bludgers ricocheting through the air, hitting several players. She could feel her heart leap into her throat as she watched a Bludger hit not only Ethen, but Aaron as well, her eyes widening in panic as she watched the two boys plummet through the air. That... that wasn't good. Why wasn't anyone catching them? Someone should've been catching them, right?!
... they'd have to work on that during their next practice.
But no. But... it didn't matter? All she could hear was the booming voice of the announcer exclaiming that- holy Toledo, Ethen had caught the Snitch! With a roar of delight, Ami shot to her feet, noting that Howie and Atlas had gone to grab Ethen and that Quinn was... well, he could take a Blatch, although she had half a mind to slap the Ravenclaw who'd dared to blatch her friend. But Aaron... was Aaron okay? He was one of their incredible Chasers, after all. Out of the corner of her eye, she noted an angry Russian (@Flash Holmwood, I promise I'm coming for you) storming his way down to the field; that couldn't possibly be good, right? Glancing around for @Annie Morgan, Ami called over to the prefect, "Hey Morgan! Can you get Jones to the Hospital Wing, with the others? Thanks, chica!"
Immediately, she turned on her heel to rush to her giant friend's side. This... this didn't look good.

Day of Rain
The cheers erupted from the stands, the noise crashing down and drowning her thoughts. She blinked through the rain which had calmed down quite a bit. The badgers managed another win, thanks to Ethen and it felt great. Tiny little badger Ethen was quite a surprise, in a good way and they'd be sure to celebrate their victory later. The brunette flew down to the ground and dismounted from her broom, trying to navigate her way through the crowd of people, mainly excited badgers. The ravens put up a good fight but their winning streak was yet to be stopped.
Her co-captain Ami called out to her to take Jones to the hospital wing? Annie nodded quickly before peering around. She hadn't even see the poor chaser go down. He had done well, their teamwork was getting stronger and whenever she helped him score a goal it felt pretty nice. With the broom tucked under her one arm she marched over to see his crumpled frame on the ground. "Tch, they hit hard, let's get going buddy. A good sleep and some medicine and you'll be back on your feet in no time." With a slight struggle of carrying two brooms and dragging supporting another person, not to mention carrying her cold, rain-soaked body she waddled back up to the castle, excited to be welcomed into the warmth.

Day of Rain
Well Quinn got blatched successfully AGAIN! They still won from what he could tell as he laid on the ground in a lot of pain and surprisingly not concussed this time. A wide smile was on his face as he took in their victory. They were still undefeated, but deep down he knew that wouldn't last. As the various personnel came onto the field to tend to or carry away the injured. Quinn couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. They did it and bloody hell was it exhilerating and worth the pain. He was so proud of his team...is this what it felt like to be a proud dad...eh maybe.
His dad was never proud of him. But jokes on him, his failure of a son was leading an undefeated quidditch team. So take that DAD...his everything hurt still. He was slowly helped off the field.
