Character Special Race/Talent: Seer (wc: 502)ReducioCharacter Backstory: (wc: 233)The seer blood that runs through Ginevra’s veins comes from their maternal side of the family. The Delacroix are a long-established, still-operating line of entrepreneurs in France. They run a business hosting grand shows so exclusive that only high society can enter, with the first shows dating back to the beginning of the 19th century. Over time, the nature of this business has become extremely controversial across France, as they would foretell the future to muggles for the right price, which would, without doubt, put the wizarding Statute of Secrecy at risk of being broken. Along with this, they have faced other allegations, such as some of the fortune-tellers allegedly not even being gifted with the Sight and being outright liars. Yet even with all the scandals, they continued their shady business and amassed treasures from it.
The closest seer to Ginevra’s time is their great-grandmother, who is still alive. She is the very person who conjured the prophecy for none other than Ginevra, a prophecy the child has yet to hear. No one from the family has either, because it is insisted that they read it only when they turn seventeen, and no one else is able to hear it. Their grandmother, who had received the prophecy, has taken a liking to Ginevra and has often insisted that the child be sent to live with her and be taught privately by her. This is because their great-grandmother insists the child to be a seer, even if their powers have not yet manifested in substantial ways. They suspect their great-grandmother doesn’t so much believe they are a seer as she expects them to possess the right talents to be a good enough liar to become part of the fortune-telling enterprise. This makes them even more appalled by the whole idea.
Ginevra does not care for the Delacroix family business. They think it is rather tacky for a proud pure-blood family to gain their wealth from muggles. They do not wish to take part in it, yet if they were to be a seer it would be expected of them. For that reason they hope they have not inherited the curse (or gift).
Sadly, there are signs that suggest otherwise, regardless of what the child wishes. At times of heightened emotion, or when the atmosphere around them feels strangely charged, they receive flashes of intuition. Those are incomprehensible and confusing, and they regard them as daytime nightmares. Most often, those visions are clouded by jagged images that flicker past too quickly to comprehend. Sometimes breathy whispers visit them in these episodes, muttering something incomprehensible that sounds almost threatening. From time to time they have recorded a woman’s laugh that sounds threatening and belittling toward them. It sounds uncannily similar to their great-grandmother’s.
They have not yet taken these signs and phenomena seriously. They try to suppress any suggestion that they might be a seer, or lie to themselves to avoid it, so they do not become an accomplice in the Delacroix family business.ReducioFirst Instance of Magic:They were born in Italy. Their parents were eccentrics: their father, an exceptional dollmaker known in the high society of wizarding Italy, and their mother, no less of an oddity, a fashion designer. Needless to say, they grew up among the arts and the aristocracy. They developed a liking for similar things in turn, but unlike their parents they were more interested in decay than in creation.
When they were nine years old, their father became involved in shady business, or perhaps it had begun earlier, but in that year the Vespucci-Delacroix family were forced to flee Italy, as Mr Vespucci was in debt and unable to pay it back. With what remained of their fortune, they managed to escape to the United Kingdom and settle in Oxford. Their whereabouts are still not shared with many, and the family keeps its business mostly low-key.
For Ginevra, it was never quite clear why they had to leave home, but they were not attached to it anyway. To them it was simply a passing place to perform their rituals, to conjure their spirits, and take from it what was theirs. England was not much different. The move did not affect the child.
Attending Hogwarts was a weighty decision for the family, as they were concerned about privacy, but after Ginevra proved trustworthy with secrets, and following careful consideration, they decided to send her to Hogwarts.ReducioIt happened when they were ten: they became very angry, and a nearby glass vase shattered.

As you can tell from Sofia's first instance of magic, you could see that she was stronger than most of her peers. Although no one could really tell at first, especially because she's muggle-born. Her parents simply believed that Sofia was unusually strong for such a small and quiet child. There had been signs throughout her childhood. She could pick up large rocks while helping in the garden, carry heavy shopping bags without complaining and move plant pots that her older sister struggled to lift. She also broke toys more often than other children, usually because she gripped or pulled them harder than she realised. Most people never really noticed, mainly because Sofia wasn't an athlete like you'd expect for someone with strength, she did enjoy sports but it wasn't her favourite thing. She preferred reading, gardening and making stories in her imagination. She was gentle, patient and rarely became angry. However, when she did become angry, it was normally because someone was being cruel or damaging something she cared about. So that's why when she saw that boy destroying that plant she was furious. How could someone disrespect the environment like that, she couldn't believe someone could be so cruel. So of course she went over to tell him to stop and she was very polite about it too. But the boy laughed at her, he didn't care. But Sofia did, she asked him again, and again. But still nothing. She was on her last wit and tried to push him off the flower but he pushed her back. She got angry, very angry. And pushed him again, she didn't mean to push him so hard but she did.She was shocked and a little bit scared, she didn't want to hurt anyone. For several years afterwards, Sofia tried to hide her strength. She avoided lifting heavy objects in front of other people and became extremely careful when playing games with her friends. She did not want people to find her frightening or dangerous. More than anything, Sofia wanted to be someone others could trust. What she didn't realise was that she could help people. However, hiding her ability did not help her control it. She sometimes cracked plant pots by gripping them too tightly or pulled weeds so forcefully that she fell backwards. Sofia began practising while gardening, lifting pots gently and concentrating on using only as much force as necessary. She also helped carry soil, watering cans and gardening equipment. Gradually, Sofia realised that her strength was not something she needed to fear. It could be useful when controlled properly. She began carrying shopping for her parents, moving boxes around the house and helping her sister with heavy objects.
Character Backstory:
Reducio
Sofia grew up in a close knit family in Dover, England. They spent as much time together as possible, whether they were eating dinner, gardening, watching films or taking walks near the coast. To most people, they appeared to be the perfect family. However, behind closed doors, they were struggling financially. Money was often tight, but her parents tried their best to prevent their children from worrying. They could never afford holidays, of expensivive gifts, so they focused on creating memories that their children will remember for a lifetime. Because of this Sofia was always grateful for the little things. Sofia learned to be considerate of others because you never know what's really going on in their life. She learnt to appreciate the small things like helping her mother in the garden, borrowing books front he library, making up stories with her sister and most of all spending time with family. Sofia was especially close to her older sister, who has the dream of attending university, however her parents could not afford to cost of sending her. Which left her sister disappointed and unsure about her future. Sofia did not fully understand the family’s financial problems at first, but she could tell that everyone was worried. She tried to help by doing small tasks around the house and avoiding complaints, even when she wanted something they could not afford. When Sofia's hogwarts letter arrived, the whole family was shocked. As muggles they never believed in magic. Sofia was excited but also frightened at the idea of leaving home and entering a world she had never seen before. For her parents the letter represented hope, Hogwarts would allow Sofia to learn, discover her abilities and experience opportunities they feared they could never provide.Although she knew she would miss her family, she knew she would take this opportunity and work hard and make the most of this chance she abeen given.

When she was 6 she was gardening with her mother when she noticed in a nearby garden an older boy was trampling on plants. Her mother hadn't noticed but Sofia was angry. She walked over to the boy and told him to stop but he didn't , she told him again but he didn't so she shouted at him but he wouldn't sop. She was furious and pushed the boy, however when she pushed him she somehow became stronger than she should've been which made the boy fly backwards and land on his bum. He was uninjured but shocked so ran off. Her mother had no idea how she did that and came running over to say sorry to the boy. She then turned to Sofia and told her off, her mother was scared but Sofia didn't know why.

Character Special Race/Talent: N/A Character Backstory: Rowena Smith grew up in the rainy town of Cork, Ireland with her parents and fluffy dog noodle. Her father always called her Roe because she was timid like the Roe Deer that would prance by in the evenings. "But watch little Roe," he would say, "watch how they dance, run, play, but only when they think no one is watching." And his eyes would twinkle with light. She lives in a humble cottage which may be the happiest home there ever was. Somehow, Rowena always dreamed of getting out to a place where she was understood, even though she knew she should have the perfect life. Her family's small cottage is cramped and cluttered, but homey and comfortable as well. Every day she rode to school on the pink bicycle she had had since she was nine. It was her favorite birthday present that year. Every day she came home to her yipping Pomeranian, Noodle, who was entirely spoiled and loved Rowena with all his tiny heart. However, at her public school she was teased and bullied by other girls for her appearance, intelligence, and financial situation. Particularly, a girl named Miranda, and her group of friends made a game of teasing Rowena every day. Her only refuge was the library. Not wanting her loving parents to worry, she wove white lies about her friends and what they did after school to explain the hours with her only true friends, the characters in books. Truly they weren't big lies. The girls who were her friends were Jane, Annabeth, Sophie, Katniss, her book friends. She lived in secret isolation except for the joyful weekends with her family until her Hogwarts letter came.
First Instance of Magic: She was walking home after school when some girls walked up to her. They began teasing her about her love of books, good grades, and red hair. She felt her sadness and anger growing and, in her habit of attempting to not let her emotions be seen, she pushed her feelings deep into her heart. they came out as magic. She suddenly found herself standing alone as the girls had drifted peacefully into a deep sleep. Horrified and shocked she told no one of her strange ability. The girls remembered nothing of the incident due to a memory wipe from the obliviators. Rowena received her letter 3 years later hand delivered by a profesor from Hogwarts.

Character Backstory: My life pre-Hogwarts was so fun. I grew up in Croydon England with my parents and the family cat, Poppy, a black and orange tabby. I read a lot, mostly Dr. Seuss and Peter Rabbit when I was little then I started to read The Series Of Unfortunate Events and James Herriot’s Treasury For Children, and my mum who is a muggle took me to the library a lot, we had fun checking out joke books and annoying dad with so many knock knock jokes. My dad who is a wizard taught me how to play Quidditch, we threw a quaffle around the back yard and on the weekends we usually went to the park to play basketball (he let me win when I was little)or went to the skate park to attempt to teach me how to skate board which I figured out eventually around my 9th birthday after quite a few minor wipeouts and only one bad injury. My gran ( dad’s mum, also a wizard ) came to visit during the holidays, she had such cool stories from the past and old folk tales. My dad is an auror at the ministry of magic, he has light brown eyes and black hair. My mum is an author of futuristic teen fiction science fiction novels, she has dark brown eyes and reddish-brown hair. My best friend is named Nova, she is a year older than me, she’s also a prankster and we were always up to trouble together, mostly just annoying the old man next door with silly questions about the sky being orange or some other outrageously silly thing. We all listened to rock and roll music and I was able to figure out how to play some of our favorite songs on the guitar, such as California Dreamin’, Seven Nation Army and Home on the Range. Life at home was fun and my parents were always telling jokes and teaching me a lot about everything from astronomy to history to geology, philosophy became a fun hobby and we wrote quotes down from famous poets and movies and pinned them to the walls such as “Laugh hard, run fast, be kind” from Doctor Who, and “The woods are lovely, dark and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep, and miles to go before I sleep.” by Robert Frost.
First Instance of Magic: I was five years old when my first instance of accidental underaged wandless magic happened, it was when I was running around some trees and tried to climb one, the branch was too high for me to reach but my magic kicked in and the root that I was standing on suddenly came slightly out of the ground and got me high enough to reach the branch.

My paternal grandma, Emma Clarke, was a Metamorphmagus, a race passed down to her from her grandfather John Burke. Of this I was very proud.
John Burke was born in 1864, in London, England, to a wizarding family living in a small village. There is a story, a “tall tale” my mum calls it, that when John was born, he had long blonde hair, which resulted in confusion as John’s parents thought him to be a girl and named him Rose. His name was later changed to John, after he was found out to be a male.
The Metamorphmagus race was passed down to my paternal great grandma (Emma Clarke’s mother), Molly Burke, and later passed down to grandma Emma Clarke. It skipped my dad Jerry, and passed down to me. None of my siblings inherited the ability. I was told that when I was born, I had hot pink hair, and thirty minutes later it was brown and my nose was significantly bigger. I did not like hearing that story. It made me feel embarrassed
When I was a little kid of 8, we (mum, dad, me, Helena, Ted and Alice) would go to visit grandma Emma a lot. We would arrive at the front door, I would knock, and the door was always opened by a different person from my point of view. This resulted in some crying and shouting on the first visits, but later I learned to recognize grandma’s most common appearances and stopped wailing in fright.
There were always stories for grandma to tell us. My favorite ones were about my dad and his brother Scott, who planned some mischievous plans, sneaked around the house to carry out the plans, and then get joined by their “sister” Mira. Grandma would then change back into her regular appearance and catch them in the act. Those stories always made me and Helena laugh out loud.
My appearance always caused a great deal of laughter wherever we were, whether the living room, supermarket, or just walking around the village. My favorite appearance differed by age: when I was 5 YO, I liked purple shiny hair. When 9, I liked freckles and white hair.
There were a couple of flaws in my being a Metamorphmagus, mainly the fact that when I was angry or embarrassed, my whole appearance changed. When I was angry my hair turned a spiky red or my eyes would look like they had fire shooting out of them. When I was embarrassed, my whole face turned crimson, and my hair paled and turned a deathly white. The other flaw was the headaches. Each time I turned appearance by mistake, my whole head would feel dizzy and full of electricity.
Each time I changed appearance by mistake, my sister Helena would shriek and shout with fear, even though this lessened with time, she was still very frightened from my ability. Older brother and sister became used to it over time, and they did not shout even the first time.
My whole family was very supportive in my journey, whether I needed a shoulder to cry on, or a mum to hug, and for that I love them very much.

I grew up in Cuckfield, England, in a loving household with my dad Jerry and my mum Jennifer, along with my 3 siblings: Alice, Ted, and Helena. In our house there was no such thing as hate, but if my parents wanted to punish someone, they would tell him off gently with no shouting involved. All of my family members loved me very much.
I would play with Helena mostly, but sometimes all of us including mum and dad would sit down and play a game. I really enjoyed those evenings.
I had 3 good friends who lived close to us in the wizarding community in Cuckfield, Harriet, Chuck, and Melissa. They were all my best friends. We would play and laugh all day, and sometimes even make up our own games. Each day I would wake up at 8 PM, eat some breakfast, study a bit wizarding history with mum who insisted on it, play with Helena or with Melissa, eat lunch, and go back out to play. When it was time for bed my parents were extremely strict.
Both my dad and mum come from wizarding communities in England, and both their families date a long way back to the almost the earliest witch and wizard.
Harriet and Chuck would usually play together, as they were the "big kids".

One day, me and Helena were fighting over a toy broomstick, each one tugging harder and harder at the end she held, and suddenly I was so angry that gold, hot sparks filled the air around Helena. She ran away to call mum while I stood there, shocked by what had happened.

Character Backstory:Alfie never knew his father. His parents’ relationship had been fleeting and lasted no longer than the week his mother spent in Ibiza on a break from university. They had parted with no expectation of ever seeing one another again and by the time she knew she was expecting she had no way to find him. Thus, Alfie never knew that his father was a wizard, let alone that he might be this meta-thing that the muggle-liaison person had described.
"It isn't a certainty, of course," the man had told them, “But your son’s gift is hereditary, and it would be rare not to find history on both sides. This family legend of yours might point to a witch or wizard of some kind in the maternal line, but given how long ago it must have been, the magical heritage of the boy's father is almost certainly stronger and more recent. A full wizard, if not a metamorphmagus himself. It would be helpful if we could identify him. Are you certain you don't know anything more than you’ve told me? We could reach out to the Spanish Ministry, but with only a given name—”
Alfie’s mother didn’t know though, and this lack of facts had caused Alfie to invent stories his entire life about who his mysterious father might be. The stories reflected Alfie’s age and interests at the time, and were mostly possible, if not especially likely: a race car driver, a soccer player, an international super spy, etc. Sometimes, Alfie’s imagination ranged even further, outside the realms of possibility, especially as increasingly odd things kept happening to him. What if his father were someone truly extraordinary? Perhaps he was a mutant of the X-man variety, a superhero, or even an alien. On one level Alfie knew all that was fantasy, but if it wasn’t fantasy it would explain so much.
For the most part though, Alfie suppressed these thoughts and confined them to the realm of daydream. His mother was a realist, and so was his grandfather, and Alfie was already too inclined to tell lies for either of them to allow him to lose track of the difference between truth and fiction.
“But surely there can be no doubt!” The liaison-fellow had protested after much skepticism from Alfie’s mother. He was a young man, nervous and seemingly new to his position. His first assignment wasn’t going at all to plan. “Metamorphosis is not a subtle gift. And our records show multiple instances— This isn’t even your first home visit!” He consulted a briefcase and after rejecting several rolls of parchment, found the one he was looking for. “Here” he said triumphantly. “Visited by my predecessor. August 2021, and here in October of the same year, February of the next—We have a complete paper trail.” The documentation reassured him even if it confused Alfie’s mother. He read out an entry, “’Muggle guardian adjusting surprisingly well. Claims distant magical heritage. Assurance given that boy will be counseled as appropriate and secrecy maintained.’ It’s signed,” he added showing the evidence to Alfie’s mother. “Mrs. G. Owen. That is you, isn’t it?”
It wasn’t her. Alfie’s mother was a ‘Ms.’ not a ‘Mrs’. and a ‘C’ rather than a ‘G.’ Mrs. G. Owen was Alfie’s grandmother, now sadly deceased.
Alfie wished his grandmother was here now. She was the family member he had always been closest to. She had more time to spare and was more mothering than Alfie’s actual mother, who, though loving, was always harried and exhausted, rarely taking the time to really see or hear him. Alfie’s grandmother was more open-minded, and the only one of the family with any sense of whimsy about her. Alfie wondered what she would have made of all this magic talk, and then on reflection he realized he already knew. She had believed it. She had told him as much. He just hadn't believed her.
“You’ve got to understand that your Nain is getting on in years,” his mother had confided to him not long after the incident with the Pinocchio nose, only during this visit she wasn’t amused. She seemed sad and uncharacteristically gentle. “I know you have always loved your Nain’s stories, but they are just that. Stories. I’m sure your Nain knows that too, deep down, but she gets confused now. She doesn’t mean to, but she can’t help it. So, if she tells you, for instance, about little men popping out of the fireplace, or our family being descended from selkies, or you being touched by fairy magic, or anything else crazy like that, well you mustn’t mind it.”
She’d concluded by telling him to let her know if Nain got ‘too bad’ so she could do something. But not knowing exactly what that something entailed, Alfie had opted to keep his grandmother’s eccentricities to himself. He loved his Nain and he loved her stories, even if they weren’t true.
Except now it seemed that maybe they had been.
“It’s amazing how you muggles manage to remain oblivious to magic when it’s right in front of you,” the agent was saying as Alfie returned from his memories. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that,” he added quickly. “I quite admire that about muggles. A kind of natural defense mechanism perhaps. Makes my life easier anyway. I’m just surprised you didn't see the signs.”
And there had been signs. Lots of them. Hadn’t he always been told he was a strange baby? “You ought to have seen the faces you pulled when you were upset! It was like you were someone else entirely.”
Then there were all the eye color debates. Were they blue? Were they grey? Were they hazel? No one seemed to agree. Alfie remembered one time when, after a heated debate, his grandfather had insisted on dragging them all into the garden to look at Alfie’s eyes in the same light. He’d wanted to prove once and for all that Alfie’s eyes were green. They hadn’t been though. Blue, they had decided. Or blueish hazel. In the end it was declared that Alfie's just had that odd sort of quality that made them look different depending on the light. Quite normal, they insisted, and they believed it too.
The Pinnochio incident, with the growing nose, was the first instance Alfie himself had thought of as magic, though no one else had seen it and so he’d convinced himself afterward that he’d been imagining.
There was also a purple hair debacle in later years. Alfie hadn’t seen that one, but his teacher and the headmaster had. They’d sent him home with a letter informing his mother that he was suspended for violating the dress code by dyeing his hair purple. Alfie’s mother had been livid because by the time she read the letter Alfie’s hair was normal again, and hair couldn’t just be purple one minute and black the next. There had been a huge row, but this affected the grownups more than him. His suspension was lifted, but the adults never got past it. To this day Alfie’s mother insisted that his teacher and headmaster were day-drinkers having a tipple during school time.
None of these incidents were as frightening as the ones where Alfie lost himself entirely though. It had happened three separate times, each when he was expecting a serious punishment. In the first his teacher hadn’t recognized him and had assumed he was in the class below. She’d sent him away with only a scolding and no note home to his mother. The second time was when he’d been caught trespassing in an empty building by friend of Alfie’s grandfather, The old man had known Alfie since he was a baby, but for some reason had treated him like a stranger. He’d mistaken him for a tourist and had marched him to the port authority lecturing all the while. When they’d crossed paths at church the following Sunday, the old man smiled and knew him again with no memory of the trespassing. These two incidents were unsettling but had turned out to Alfie’s advantage in the end. The last instance had not and had left him terrified.
It had happened not that long after his Nain had died. Alfie was missing her and had wandered into his grandparents’ bedroom to look through the belongings of hers that his grandfather was packing away. His grandfather had caught him at it and Alfie had been suddenly ashamed, both because of the privacy violation and because of the knowledge that his grandfather was also grieving. His grandfather was angry, but worse than that, he hadn’t recognized him. He’d thrown him out, saying it was not a good time and that he could come back and play with Alfie some other day. Alfie didn’t know what to do. He could only suppose that his grandfather was suffering from the same dementia that took his grandmother. Alfie had sat on the step for hours waiting for his mother to return from her late shift, except when she finally returned, she hadn’t known him either. “It’s too late for sleepovers,” she said wearily. “Go home. I’ll tell Alfie you were here.” Alfie panicked then, insisting he was who he was, and growing more hysterical as his mother grew more cross. “That’s enough!” she said finally, when he had pointed out that he was wearing clothing she had bought him herseslf. “It isn’t funny and I’m in no mood for pranks.” He’d been told to return the clothing the next day and then she’d demanded he leave, watching until Alfie was forced to do so. When he snuck back later, he found himself locked out of the house. He was forced to spend the rest of the night shivering in the garden shed. The next day everyone knew him again, but it had left Alfie with a very creepy disassociated feeling. This feeling only intensified with the current revelation that he really wasn’t who he thought he was. He never had been. He was a wizard and a metamorph wizard at that.

First Instance of Magic:Alfie's mother was a clever working-class Welsh girl with a bright future who met a charismatic Spanish tourist while on holiday in Ibiza. The result was Alfie, and the necessity for her to drop out of medical school and move back in with her parents. For that reason, Alfie was raised by a loving but overworked single mother, and by grandparents who thought that their parenting days were over. His grandmother was Alfie’s primary caretaker, having both more experience and more time. Her nurturing nature and sense of whimsy made his grandmother Alfie’s favorite family member. Though deceased now, he has fond memories of her telling him stories of selkies and the heroes of the Mabinogion. With his grandmother’s death, Alfie’s primary caretaker has switched to his grandfather, a cantankerous ex-smelting plant worker.
Alfie knew nothing of his mysterious father other than his first-name (Alfonso), his description ("Gorgeous!"), and the fact that he spoke little English. He now assumes (correctly) that his father must be a wizard and may be who he has to thank for his more specific magical gifts.
Growing up in Holyhead, Alfie became used to living in a city in decline, with closing businesses, abandoned buildings, and friends that moved away when their parents inevitably sought greater opportunities inland. Without much structure in the way of entertainment, Alfie was forced to find his own fun: fishing off the Holyhead breakwater, biking the paths of Mynydd Twr, or exploring the coastal cliffs. Inclement weather finds him indoors in his attic bedroom engrossed in a book while listening to raining pounding against his dormer window blown in from the Irish sea. His life has been a balancing act of fantastic dreams and dreary reality. He hopes that Hogwarts will be his golden ticket into a better future.(299 words)
For as long as Alfie could remember, he had been dogged by strange and baffling occurrences. Living among muggles (and very unimaginative muggles at that) had taught him that inexplicable things can always be explained: a trick of the light, an overactive imagination, the probability that he was lying about it, and so forth. Despite this, Alfie began to have his doubts, especially as the incidents became more frequent and harder to dismiss.
The first of these that Alfie could recall happened when he was six years old. He had just been caught in a lie, a frequent occurrence, but this time, after Alfie's grandmother had scolded him and he had been suitably apologetic, his Gran had added that if he didn't stop fibbing, his nose was going to grow like Pinocchio's and get stuck that way.
Alfie expected she was teasing but was concerned enough to check a mirror just to be sure. To Alfie's horror, his nose began to grow before his very eyes. He was so upset and ashamed that he hid himself under his covers and refused to leave his room, even when called down to tea. Later that night, when his mother got home from work, Alfie tearfully confessed, still too ashamed to lower the blanket.
"Sounds like someone has a guilty conscience," she had said wryly before pulling back the covers to reveal a perfectly normal-sized nose. She'd never supposed it was anything more than Alfie's imagination, just like all the other times, but Alfie couldn't entirely dismiss the memory of what he had seen, nor rule out his own growing conviction that something was wrong with him.(274 words)

Character Backstory: Back in the Early 2000's Arduino's mother migrated to the UK from her hometown of Padua, Italy, to be with her husband whom she fell in love with during college. While their home was always full of love and energy, money was never in large supply, so they ended up living in council housing from very early on.
That didn't stop his mother from popping out five kids, with Deeno being the one smack dab in the middle.
Celestina
Mateo
Arduino
Tino (Antonio) (twin)
Tati (Tatiana) (twin)
He never really had anything of his own growing up. Hand me downs to giving up his own things as the kids grew up, but he didn't really mind. The amount of Love they all shared for one another smothered out his resentment for lack of attention over all, as his Siblings were more than happy to do anything with him. Unfortunately this has led him to having very few friends his own age, as his siblings have 99.8% of his attention.
He would consider himself an average kid with a love of roller skates and slime, and does his best to keep good grades to atleast grab the title of 'smartest' child so far.
Now that he's been invited to Hogwarts, he *finally* feels special among all of the other children and has been humble bragging about it, making promises to show his siblings so many cool things when he comes back!
First Instance of Magic: Deeno was around 6 years old when he had his first instance of magic.
He and his 4 siblings were all lounging around the house in Romford,London being being babysat by the eldest, Celestina. While the oldest two were Playing Mario cart, he was entertaining the two baby twins, Tino and Tati, on top of his bunkbed.
Why were they up there? Well, that's because Celestina and Mateo knew they couldn't get down, and wouldn't bother them with their game!
The bed did not have railings, and after too many peek-a-boos and giggles, Arduino leaned back a little too far and fell right off!
Rather than falling and ended up bruised or with any bumps, he seemed to have just bounced off the floor and into their older siblings that were nearby.
While everyone was okay, no one knew how they managed to bounce 10 feet across the room. All the siblings (who could speak) agreed not to talk about it, ever.
